Until We Met Again-Fanfiction

A week had passed. I was slowly settling in and learning new things and I was enjoying my time with TingTing and Saejin. It was a cool afternoon and I was unpacking my clothes from the suitcase to the wardrobe. Don't judge me, unpacking is tiring and leaves me lazy. At the back I was playing one of DAIZY's song Ethereal, it was my third favourite song especially Eunjae's part. I had finished my registration at the university and we had an orientation in two days, everything was looking good except for the weather which I was still trying to adjust too. The heat was not that that bad but the fact that it was humid and hot was so bothersome.

"Anaya!" TingTing called out as she entered my room.

"Mmmh," I said looking up at her, her face was glued to her phone and her mouth was wide open. She quickly sat by my side and kept tapping my shoulder while trying to say something. "TingTing what's wrong?" I asked as she was making me nervous.

"DA...DAIZY they are..oh my my," she said squealing without finishing her words. I grabbed her phone and looked at the headline she was reading.

DAIZY to host a special mini performance at their headquarters as a welcome ceremony to their fans-sunbeams.

"Oh my God, oh my God...I..wow," I said words also failing me. I looked at TingTing and we had the exact same look, we squealed and did a funny dance move we were learnt from Kai one of the band members.

"It's been a while since they performed here in Singapore, they have been in Shanghai for a while doing some promo work," TingTing said as she laid on the bed with her phone in hand, "No Singapore is the luck, finally I get to see the lovies of my life performing in real life, wait quick reserve tickets," I said grabbing my phone to see if the tickets were out.

"Already did," TingTing said as she showed me the three tickets she managed to get.

"Whoa you are quick...how did you manage to get them?" I asked as I looked at my phone and saw the tickets sold out for everyone even for me an exclusive member.

"Well I have my ways, oh by the way what are you doing tomorrow?"

"I was planning on going to get my gym card from the maintenance when I went yesterday they said there was an issue and also I need to get my hair done for the orientation," I said pulling out packs of braids from my other suitcase, "Should I go for black and blue or black or just brown?" I asked TingTing as I rested the different braid colours.

"Ohh these colours look pretty, will you go to a stylist to do your hair?"

"No I will do it myself, I learnt how to do my own hair."

"You are cool, well I like the blue and black. I think it will look good on you."

TingTing ended up helping me with the packing and we blasted DAIZY's songs as we unpacked. Saejin was not home, she had gone out to meet some friends and run some errands. We then prepared dinner and Saejin wasn't back yet, "I am starting to worry, should we call her?" I asked TingTing as we sat by the table waiting for her. "I think so, she said she wouldn't be back late."

We tried calling her but she wasn't answering the calls we made, we were getting anxious.

"Should we try calling some of her friends and ask if she is still with them?"

"Do you have their numbers?" I asked TingTing and she nodded, " I have Lao's number she is doing the same course as me so we are in the same group." We then decided to call Lao but he said that they went their ways hours ago and she had said she wanted to go meet someone at the mall. He hasn't heard from her since then, we then decided to go to the mall and check if she is still there. I am sure you must think we are overreacting but we were anxious and worried. I personally wouldn't be able to sleep know that Saejin was out there somewhere and she hadn't contacted us in hours and she could be in trouble and hoping we were looking for her, just like me she was also in a foreign land, even though she had visited Singapore a couple of times before deciding to study here. We got dressed quickly and hailed a cab to take us to the mall, when we got there we didn't even know where to start looking but we would look for her while also trying her phone. We were 15 minutes into the search when Saejin called back, "Saejin is calling me," TingTing said as she answered the call.

"TingTing, is everything okay? I saw the missed calls."

"Saejin!! Are you okay? We were worried, we didn't know where you were and you weren't answering your phone we thought maybe you got lost or maybe something happened we were super worried and-"

"Whoa TingTing I am fine, I just lost track of time and my phone was not with me, I am on my way home now. I am sorry I forgot to inform you I will be late," Saejin said, sincerity in her voice.

"We are glad you are okay, don't ever do that to us," TingTing said as she sighed in relief finally relaxing.

"I am sorry, I won't do that ever again."

We decided to buy some few goodies and some milk tea and then headed home , when we arrived we found Saejin warming the food, "Saejin!" TingTing said as she ran to wrap her arms around her, "Careful careful, we will both get burnt," Saejin said as she pulled TingTing away from the stove.

"We were so worried, now I kind of feel ridiculous for worrying so much," I said as I placed the things we bought on the table and got the plates out for plating.

"Thank you for worrying, I feel bad for not informing you guys."

We had supper as TingTing and I tried to convince Saejin to go with us for the special performance by DAIZY, she didn't want to and tried choosing sleeping over going to watch them. Of course she didn't win over us , she was no match for TingTing and me.

Orientation day arrived so quickly, at the orientation event there were some students who were staring at me, I think it had to do with the fact that I was the first african international students, the stares were overwhelming and I was so self aware. I had to get used to it mainly because people couldn't help but stare and wonder what I was doing all the way in Singapore. To be honest, I didn't really know why so many people stared, I had some thoughts but it was all just thoughts but Saejin told me not to let it overwhelm me and that I just do my thing and eventually people will get used to seeing me around campus.

Of course a lot of the curious lookers approached me and asked me so many questions about where I was from , my name and what I was studying and why I came all the way here to study and then in my mind I just told myself some stared because they were curious. I had peeked their interest, it felt good but also terrible as having people watching you constantly as you walk around was overwhelming, I am so used to not being the center of attention back home but here somehow I felt like a celebrity, I had to calculate my every move before acting because they all were watching.

"Has anyone ever told you, you are very gullible?" A voice said from behind me. I turned around confusion printed on my face and when my eyes met the person's eyes and I scanned their face I couldn't believe it.
