The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 112: Colin Creevey

Under the refinement of pure flames, these magical materials gradually lost their original form and turned into a liquid that shimmered with a strange light.

Lynn raised his hand and added a piece of crystal the size of a Rubik's cube and a bronze rod a foot long to serve as the base for the alchemy product.

Unlike the Material alchemy, this time the alchemy glasses didn't require the creation of new materials; they only needed to imbue the existing materials with the special properties carried by the magical components.

Under Lynn's control, the strange liquid fused into the crystal and bronze, which continued to change shape, eventually becoming a pair of exquisite glasses.

The pair of glasses was made entirely of crystal, with the joints crafted from bronze. Strange rays of magical light passed through the surface of these alchemical glasses. Lynn could see various natural alchemical rays within the glasses.

At this point, the alchemy from the magical system was complete. The next thing Lynn needed to do was place an alchemical circle to strengthen their immunity to death magic and basilisk petrification magic.

Unlike previous alchemical techniques, this time the alchemical glasses required additional alchemy techniques with runes such as "immunity," "curse resistance," "magical resistance," and "curse rebound" as the main attributes. All of these formations belonged to the more advanced alchemical field.

Even in the French magical world, only the highest-ranking alchemists could refine these alchemical circles.

Otherwise, there would be very few alchemical products capable of defending against dark magic in the magical world.

The anti-curse hats and gloves invented by the Weasley twins in the original book became so popular because there were no competing products in the market. This allowed the Weasley twins to dominate the anti-curse alchemy product line.

Lynn exhaled slowly, dispersed the flames in front of him, and extended his hand to grab the prototype of the alchemy glasses.

"Aha!"

When Lynn raised his hand, a mithril carving knife, glowing with a silver-white light, appeared in his palm. This was the mithril carving knife Lynn had personally refined two years ago.

Although Lynn had already learned how to refine alchemical sets from scratch, in front of this extremely difficult alchemical set, he had to give his best and add alchemical methods to the prototype of these alchemy glasses with the most serious attitude.

In the past two years of training, Lynn had been able to refine an offensive alchemy set in about two minutes, even if he was refining the set from scratch, and certainly much faster when refining with a mithril carving knife.

Lynn today was no longer the same as he was two years ago. It would take him a week to refine an enchanted dagger for his mother, Rowena.

Lynn stayed in his dormitory the entire afternoon, refining the gold, and he didn't even go to dinner.

If Lynn hadn't had class that afternoon, someone might have thought he had disappeared!

"Finally, it worked!"

After completing the final cut and connecting all the magical circuits, Lynn finally smiled and held the alchemy glasses in his hand.

Lynn muttered an incantation, and a golden light shimmered on the surface of the alchemical glasses.

When the golden light ignited, the alchemical circles on the surface of the glasses vanished inside, making them invisible to outsiders.

"Although it's very likely that I'll be immune to death magic and basilisk petrification magic, nothing is finalized until it's tested in the real world!"

Lynn put on the alchemy glasses and carefully examined them.

After feeling the magical power of the glasses, Lynn was convinced that he was immune to curses and dark magic, except for Fire Curse, and he could even absorb some weaker offensive magic.

However, direct death magic and basilisk petrification were completely new areas he had never touched before.

New meant unknown, and as a rigorous alchemist, until the product was tested in real life, there was no difference between a 1% success rate and a 99% success rate! After all, practice brings true knowledge!

"If I remember correctly, the next victim of the Basilisk incident was Harry's little fan, Colin Creevey, and it was after the Quidditch match. Well, that will be easy to handle. Already..."

Lynn seemed to have thought of something. He grabbed the alchemy glasses and left the Slytherin dormitory.

Dinner had probably just ended by now. If he left now, he should have time to intercept Irina.

Lynn thought to himself as he quickly descended the stairs toward the auditorium.

Indeed, Irina had just gotten up from her seat and was about to return to the Gryffindor common room with Hermione and the others.

"Follow me, Irina."

Lynn approached after glancing at Harry and the others and said to Irina.

Upon seeing Lynn's serious expression, Irina understood that something important was going on.

She nodded to Lynn and then said to Harry and the others, "Lynn and I will leave first. You guys head back first. I'll return later."

Upon hearing this, Hermione looked at Irina ambiguously and said, "Go quickly."

Then, Irina followed Lynn out of the auditorium.

"I remember, didn't Irina always call him 'Senior Lynn'? Now the title seems a bit closer?"

Harry said with some confusion.

Hermione covered her mouth and chuckled. "It's normal. The girl must have entered puberty..."

Upon hearing this, Harry and Ron were a bit surprised.

Ron's eyes widened and he said, "Hermione, are you referring to Irina…?"

Hermione raised her hands and said, "I haven't said anything yet! Maybe they're just good friends like us. After all, Irina hasn't admitted it yet."

Meanwhile, Lynn and Irina arrived at the old, abandoned classroom.

"Irina, could you help deliver these glasses to Colin Creevey? And tell him to wear them on the day of the Quidditch match this weekend and not take them off under any circumstances!"

Lynn solemnly handed the alchemy glasses to Irina and said.

Irina looked a bit confused and asked, "Colin Creevey? Our little Gryffindor fan who keeps following Harry around for photographs? Why him? And what are these glasses?"

Lynn explained the function of the alchemy glasses and the purpose of delivering them to Colin Creevey.

Upon hearing this, Irina couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed. "But by doing this, aren't we treating Colin like a test subject in an experiment? That's not good..."

Hearing Irina's words, Lynn chuckled and said, "After all, I'm a Slytherin, so I'll do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. Besides, even without my intervention, Colin Creevey would be petrified by the Basilisk on the day of the Quidditch match."
