The Domineering Female CEO

Chapter 33: chapter 33

As Xavier walked out the door, Elvis followed closely behind, a look of concern etched on his face. "Xavier, what's going on?" he asked, but Xavier just shook his head.

"Let's just get out of here, Elvis," Xavier said, his voice low and even. "I don't want to talk about it right now."

Elvis nodded, sensing that Xavier was on the verge of breaking down. He followed Xavier to the car, where they both got in and drove away from the mansion in silence.

As they drove, Xavier couldn't shake off the feeling of betrayal and hurt. He kept thinking about Eliana's words, about how she had used him for her own gain. He felt like a fool, like he had been blind to her true intentions.

After a while, Elvis spoke up, his voice gentle. "Xavier, you okay, man? You're scaring me."

Xavier took a deep breath, trying to compose himself. "I'm fine, Elvis," he said, his voice cracking. "I just need to get out of here, get away from her."

Elvis nodded, understanding. "We'll get you out of here, Xavier. We'll get you away from her and start fresh. You deserve better than someone like Eliana."

Xavier nodded, feeling a small sense of comfort. He knew he had Elvis, his loyal friend, to support him through this tough time. And with that thought, he felt a glimmer of hope, a sense that he might just be able to move on from Eliana after all.

I watched as Xavier walked out the door, feeling a pang of guilt and regret. I had never intended to hurt him, but I knew I had. I had seen the way he looked at me, the way he spoke to me. He had feelings for me, real feelings.

But I couldn't let that get in the way. I had a goal, a plan, and I couldn't let Xavier's feelings derail me. I had to stay focused, no matter how hard it got.

As I stood there, frozen in place, I felt a lump form in my throat. I had never felt this way before, never felt like I was hurting someone I... cared about.

No, I couldn't think like that. I couldn't let myself feel anything for Xavier. It was too complicated, too messy.

I took a deep breath, pushing aside my doubts and uncertainties. I had to stay strong, had to see this through. I would not let Xavier's feelings get in the way of my plans.

With newfound determination, I turned and walked away, leaving the door and Xavier's broken heart behind.

Royalty's pov:

I walked into the room, finding Eliana standing by the window, staring out at the gardens. I could sense the tension in her body, the stiffness in her shoulders.

"Eliana, what's going on?" I asked, my voice gentle.

She turned to me, her eyes flashing with defiance. "Nothing, Royalties," she said, her voice cold. "Just dealing with Xavier's dramatics."

I raised an eyebrow. "Dramatics?" I repeated. "Eliana, I saw the way Xavier looked at you. He's hurt, deeply hurt. You were too hard on him."

Eliana's expression didn't change, but I saw a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. "I did what needed to be done," she said, her voice firm.

I sighed, shaking my head. "Eliana, sometimes I don't understand you. You're so focused on your goals, on getting what you want, that you forget about the people around you. Xavier cares about you, deeply. And you just threw him away like he meant nothing to you."

Eliana's eyes narrowed, her jaw clenched. "You don't know what you're talking about, Royalty," she said, her voice icy.

But I pressed on, determined to make her see sense. "And what's with Alexander?" I asked, my voice incredulous. "Why would you go out with him, of all people? You know how he feels about you."

Eliana's expression faltered, and for a moment, I saw a glimmer of uncertainty. But then her mask slipped back into place, and she smiled, a cold, calculating smile.

"That's none of your business, Royalty," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "Just remember, I always get what I want. And right now, I want Xavier "

"I never knew you could be this domineering!" Royalty exclaimed. "I know you love Xavier, but you don't want to show it. You want to have the upper hand in the relationship, right?" Royalty questioned, his eyes piercing as he searched for the truth behind Eliana's actions.

Eliana's eyes flashed with anger, but Royalty's words struck a chord. For a moment, her mask slipped, and Royalty saw a glimmer of vulnerability.

Eliana's face turned beet red with rage as Royalty's words cut deep. She felt like she'd been slapped, her pride wounded.

"How dare you!" she spat, her voice venomous. "You think you can just insult me and get away with it? I'm not some weak, pathetic girl who needs to be told what to do. I'm a strong, independent woman who doesn't need anyone's approval."

Royalty raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. "Oh, really? Then why are you so defensive? Why are you so afraid to let Xavier in?"

Eliana's eyes flashed with anger, but she bit back her retort. She knew Royalty was trying to get under her skin, and she wasn't going to let him.

Instead, she took a deep breath and smiled sweetly. "I'm not afraid of anything, Royalty. Least of all, Xavier. And as for being treated like a queen, I expect nothing but the best. And if Xavier can't handle that, then maybe he's not the man for me."

Royalty chuckled, a low, rumbling sound. "Oh, Eliana. You're so predictable. You think you're a queen, but really, you're just a scared little girl who's afraid to let anyone in."

The door slammed shut behind Royalty, leaving Eliana standing alone in the room. She felt a surge of anger and frustration, her heart racing with emotion.

"How dare she!" she muttered to herself, pacing back and forth across the room. "Who does she think she is, talking to me like that?"

But as she paced, Eliana couldn't shake the feeling that Royalty's words had struck a chord. Was she really just a scared little girl, afraid to let anyone in? Was she using her domineering behavior as a way to protect herself from getting hurt?

Eliana stopped pacing and stood still, her eyes fixed on the door that Royalty had walked out of. She felt a pang of uncertainty, a sense that maybe she wasn't as in control as she thought she was.

For a moment, Eliana just stood there, frozen in uncertainty. And then, with a quiet determination, she turned and walked out of the room, determined to prove to herself and to Royalty that she was more than just a scared little girl.
