The CEO's Wife Is A Demon God's Daughter

Chapter 934 934: Greed and Evilness

The healers moved Liam to an isolated chamber. They started to diagnose him, finding out what kind of curse Mheera had given him. It would take a while before they could figure it out.

As they were busy finding the cure for Liam, Ella stayed outside, waiting for them to finish. She was silently praying that Liam would finally wake up.

Shino and Eric, on the other hand, went to another room to discuss important matters. Aside from healing Liam, they had another concern that they must address.

"Master, how have you been? Is everyone safe?" Eric asked Shino.

The moment he raised those questions, Shino's expression became gloomy. Eric could tell that something bad happened while they were not around.

Shino moved closer to him and held his shoulder. "Where is Justine? I need to tell him something!"

Just when he mentioned Justine, the man suddenly appeared in front of them using the dimension-hopping spell.

"Justine! You are finally here!" Eric called him as soon as he saw him.

He was supposed to come earlier than this, but something went wrong. He got separated from Cassie and Flint. He returned to the mountain to find them but the guardian warriors, Flint and Cassie were long gone. All that was left was the destruction of the mountain caused by the battle between Cassie and the five guardian warriors.

He tried to find them but he couldn't trace them. He wondered if they got caught by the guardian warriors. After hours of roaming around the area, Justine decided to go back to their hidden barracks.

"Master Shino!" Justine bowed his head, greeting their leader respectfully.

"Where is Cassie?" Eric immediately asked for Cassie's whereabouts. He thought they were together.

"Something happened. I'm gonna tell you everything later. Where is our former guardian leader? Is Miss Ella with you? Is she safe?" Justine knew that Flint was so worried about Ella so he needed to find out if she was just fine.

"Don't worry about them. They are fine. Your fellow healers are currently examining our former guardian leader. Miss Ella is there, waiting for them."

Justine heaved a sigh of relief when he heard that. "How are you, Master?"

Shino's aura became more sullen when he saw Justine. "There is something you need to know…" Shino mumbled.

Eric and Justine exchanged glances with one another. Shino didn't look good so they had a bad feeling about this.

"W-What is it, Master?" Justine asked him nervously.

"Your grandmother… our head healer… was captured by our enemies…" Shino finally dropped the bomb and the two men didn't like it.

"Damn it! I'm too late!" Justine punched the wall because of frustration.

"No… it's not too late. We can still save her. It's just that the opposing factions are using her power to heal their wounded warriors. They are taking advantage of your grandmother's healing ability."

That thought brought more rage to Justine's already angry heart. He wanted to rescue his grandmother as soon as possible.

"Calm down, Justine. Our force is not that strong to launch a frontal attack. We need to strategize our moves. We need strong fighters too." Shino tried to calm Justine down.

"Our hope is Cassie! We need her!" Eric suddenly blurted out. "Where is she?"

Justine clenched his fist tightly. "We got separated. We had an encounter with five element-wielders headed by Calibur. She fought them alone. Yeah, she is our hope. She managed to fight them, one vs five."

"Who is Cassie?" Shino butted in. He didn't know whom they were referring to. "How about the demon god's daughter, Zhen-Zhen? You failed to bring her with you?" There was a disheartened look on Shino's face.

Both Eric and Justine shook their heads.

"We haven't seen the demon god's daughter. It seems like she is on a journey searching for the cure," Eric replied.

"But we brought Cassie! She's one of the twins– Zhen-Zhen's daughter. Her power is also fire and she can teleport like her mother. She also has this fire fox with her!" Justine informed them. He told them everything that happened on the mountain.

"Where do you think Cassie went after the fight?" Eric asked him. But Justine could only shake his head. He didn't have any idea either.

"Gosh! We should find them as soon as possible! Even if she is strong, she couldn't fight all the guardian warriors alone. What if her next battle would no longer be one vs five… but more than what she can fight?" Eric expressed his concern with them.

"Furthermore, Flint is with her… he has no power here. I'm sorry to say this but he might become a burden to her… he might become her weakness," Eric added.

Justine bobbed his head in agreement. He wanted to scold Flint for doing the reckless thing. He was supposed to go with him as per the instruction of Cassie. However, Flint left the circle so he ended up leaving the place alone.

"It's true. We need to find them. I will leave this task to both of you! I will come up with a better strategy on how we will rescue your grandmother," Shino said, tapping Justine's back.

Justine: "I understand, Master!"

Eric: "Got it! Leave it to us, Master."

"Okay. You should take a rest first. Tomorrow,  start your journey and find Cassie." Shino said, dismissing them.

The two left and proceeded to their sleeping quarters. In that barracks, there were hundreds of them. They tried their best to stay hidden from Calec's and Mheera's warriors. This was their only option to survive. But they never think of giving up. They had been waiting for someone who would save them from this hopeless situation.

They wanted to bring back the original goal of the guardian warriors which was to protect, not to destroy! Those guardian warriors had been tainted by their greed, turning them into evil ones. They wanted power! Since there was no more demon god to spread evilness in this world, the guardian warriors ended up the ones spreading bad things, destroying and killing each other!
