Chapter 932 932: Take Advantage of Him while Asleep
Cassie didn't know if she should get mad or not! How come Flint decided to stay instead of leaving the place together with Justine? It would be safer for him to leave. Furthermore, he was still wounded.
"Why are you still here?" Cassie repeated her question, frowning deeply.
"I can't leave you behind!" Flint replied.
Cassie could only sigh deeply, feeling so helpless.
The wind-element warriors kept on attacking her. If they wouldn't stop, the whole mountain would be destroyed. Since Flint stayed, they started attacking and targeting Flint once more.
"Damn! You should fight me! Not him!" Cassie was losing her temper. They wanted to hurt Flint and this fact made her angrier.
"Fire Whirlpool!" Cassie matched their tornado attack with her fire whirlpool. She wanted to make the tornadoes disappear using the heat of her fire.
'Gosh. I don't want to destroy this beautiful mountain!' She thought to herself.
'Scarlet, let's run away together with Flint. I already got my revenge against the man who hurt him,' Cassie talked to Scarlet through their mind link.
Scarlet transformed into a much bigger fox form so that she could carry both Cassie and Flint at her back. She knew that Cassie planned to escape through teleportation.
'Let's leave now!' Cassie signaled Scarlet through their mind link.
Scarlet didn't waste time as she ran in Flint's direction. Cassie removed the barrier and extended her right hand towards Flint.
"Hop in!" Cassie yelled at him.
Flint held her hand as he jumped at Scarlet's back, riding her.
"Hold me tight!" Cassie instructed him once again. Flint obediently followed her words as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
When Cassie ensured that Flint was holding her tight, she immediately used her ability to teleport, escaping from the guardian warriors.
*Blink*
Cassie, Flint, and Scarlet disappeared like bubbles in just a blink of an eye. The guardian warriors could no longer see them in the area.
"Damn! They escaped!"
"Don't worry! It's a good thing for us. That woman is stronger than what we expected."
"Let's go back to the main hall. We have to report this incident. Furthermore, we have injured comrades who need treatment!"
The guardian warriors also prepared to leave by using the dimension-hopping spell. They didn't bother to follow Cassie and Flint.
Meanwhile, Cassie and Flint reappeared on the other side of the mountain together with Scarlet. Flint was feeling weak as Justine didn't finish healing his wounds. The thorns of the giant vines were poisonous.
Flint suddenly collapsed. Fortunately, Cassie reacted right away to catch him.
"Flint, wake up! Wake up!" Cassie tapped his face but Flint was not responding. He lost consciousness. The poison took effect already.
She put him down, making him lie on the grass under the tree. She looked at him worriedly. "Scarlet, what should I do?"
"We must find a cure," Scarlet replied.
"I know… do you know where to find one?" Cassie was getting anxious as time went by.
"First, we need to find a hiding spot so that we can leave him there as we search for the cure," Scarlet suggested.
"I'm gonna bring you to your grandfather's home. It is a cave where Master Zu Wan and his wife, Eva stayed."
Cassie's eyes lit up when she heard that. She would get to see her grandpa and grandmother's home… the place where their mother was born.
"Okay, Scarlet! Can you bring us there?" Cassie asked her.
"Yes, Master. I can still remember the location of the place."
Soon, Scarlet transformed into her fire dragon form. She circled them and engulfed them using her dragon body as she planned to teleport.
It did not take long when Flint and Cassie arrived at the small cave. Cassie was surprised to see it. Though no one was around, the place was properly maintained. How could that be possible? Was there someone taking good care of this place?
Scarlet was also amazed. The place was still similar to the memories she had one thousand years ago. Nothing changed.
Cassie transferred Flint to the wooden bed. Then she created a strong barrier. She had to protect Flint.
"Master, you can search here… for the golden yellow flower. It's the cure. I will go to the mountain and forest to find this wildflower."
"Okay, let's do that!" Cassie agreed.
Scarlet and Cassie went separate ways to find the cure. The red fire dragon learned how to cure those poisons upon observing Eva before. She loved to collect medicinal herbs and flowers.
Thirty minutes later, Cassie and Scarlet found the golden yellow flower. It was an effective medicine for any kind of poison.
"You should grind the petals and place them on the surface of his wounds. You should clean his skin with clean water first," Scarlet informed her what she should do.
Cassie listened to her attentively. Without wasting any more time, Cassie removed Flint's clothes to check all his wounds, leaving only his boxer shorts. He was burning hot. He had a high fever.
She looked for a cloth and clean water. Then she wiped his body. She was very gentle as she took care of his wound. Flint suddenly groaned when he felt some discomfort. His wounds stung a little whenever they would get in contact with the wet cloth.
When Cassie was done, she ground the flower petals and applied them to Flint's wounds. He got so many scratches from the thorns of the giant vines. It took her almost half an hour to cover all his wounds.
Flint was still in his deep sleep when his body began to tremble. His fever hadn't gone down yet and he felt so cold. Without a second thought, Cassie climbed on the bed and lay down beside him.
Cassie used her own body to warm him. She hugged Flint as she produced some fire around the bed to add more heat.
"Please recover quickly, Flint. We have to find Aunt Ella and Uncle Liam…" Cassie mumbled.
Subconsciously, Flint sunk further into her body, hugging her back. The cold feeling disappeared as it was replaced by Cassie's warmth. Flint began to sleep comfortably on that bed. His hands were wrapped around her, pulling her closer to him, removing the gaps between their bodies.
Cassie could only smile as she watched Flint's sleeping face. 'He is so handsome… even if he is not feeling well.'
'I felt so touched when he decided to stay, not leaving me behind. What a sweet guy!' Cassie was not able to control herself as she gave him a peck on his lips.
Flint groaned as if he was complaining about that peck. Cassie giggled silently. She raised her hand, caressing his cheek.
"Oh Flint… now that you are in your vulnerable state, I want to ravish you right now," Cassie mumbled naughtily.
Not able to control her desire, Cassie planted another soft kiss on his forehead. She repeated her actions all over again, kissing Flint on his eyes, nose, cheeks, chin, and lips. She literally showered him with kisses.
When she got satisfied, Cassie closed her eyes and took a nap. She didn't have to worry about their enemies. Scarlet was outside, serving as a lookout.
