Chapter 53: The Winged-Humans (14) (Rumbling Dragons 5)
Mountain Dragon Lord stood there, staring at the sight of his enemy. What… What is she? How can she handle the weight of a dragon just like that, like it's nothing but those primitive weapons the humans once used?! He peed himself once again. She's terrifying, I can't even help but disgrace myself like this… He started shaking, quivering with terror. Fear filled his eyes. The only thing keeping him standing upright now was…
"I see you're scared, you should be." Night Silver smirked as she started a slow yet consistent walk forward. Each step she took seemed to defy the force generated by the dragon spinning around her head now. This should be the final straw on that pesky pride of his. Once that's gone, he is done.
Brightness Dragon Lord, managed to make a couple of his claws move. Am I scared of her too? That's not fair… I'm her friend… Were all of her friends like this around her? I feel ashamed.
"Don't worry about it, friend. I'm using a skill that makes dragons fearful of me. I've tried protecting you but it seems the spell is wearing off as your magic is depleting." Night Silver said with a kind, warm and friendly smile.
"Forgive me, my friend. Even if it is a skill you speak of that has caused me to feel this way…" Brightness Dragon Lord started replying. His eyes only seeing that smiling face and a breeze blowing Night Silver's hair around… A bright Silver color like that of the moon's radiance… And that of my scales… He thought and then started making an active effort to move again. He was clearly heavily injured and had lost many scales during the fight. Even so he still managed to stand up. "If fear takes hold of me… I'll replace it with the care I have for my friends. Even new ones though they may be." He spoke out as blood flowed from some of his more serious wounds.
With Night Silver's other hand raised, aiming for Brightness Dragon Lord. She launched a spell with silent casting. It wasn't the greatest spell for healing but it was enough to aid in making severe injuries less severe. "Please deal with that for now. I'll give you some much better treatment once the slaughter is over." She said with a giggle. Who would have thought that two dragon lords are after my affection. Tsa seemed to have feelings but they didn't really feel genuine. But Brightness here… He is different, he wants to transform down to me at my preferred form, an ability not yet known to him yet, and is determined to see it through. He might be worthy of a little more than just friendship, we shall see though.
"I shall bear witness to your acts today." Brightness dragon lord smiled roughly as he sat down and instead of healing his injuries, he remained focused to not miss a single moment of the battle.
"YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!" Mountain dragon lord shouted with a half hearted roar. His panic was settling in, the monolith of his pride began to wither away. The panic he felt could be seen from how he trembled, spoke and even in his breath.
"UNCLE HELP ME!!!" The dragon Night Silver spun like a helicopter blade, shouted out in a display of utter helplessness.
Mountain dragon lord was paralyzed in place with fear. His fear messed with his mind enough that the sight before him, it was just any dragon being swung around, it was himself.
In the meantime the fourth dragon, the one that had been slammed into the ground by Night Silver's earlier attack, started to crawl their way out of the crater they had formed. Every step they took was a clear sign that the dragon was disoriented beyond belief. He was muttering aloud yet, it was meant for himself. "How… What? What happened…" As his body had finally managed to come over the lip of the crater, having used some of his own scales littered about as footholds.
Just at that moment, Night Silver suddenly felt incredibly lighter. "Oh, he's gone? I guess they aren't that durable yet, huh? Are you sure that was a dragon lord?" She queried curiously looking at the remaining ground meat, scales and bone left in her hand.
The dragon's tail from below the point at which Night Silver had gripped was sent hurtling towards Mountain dragon lord, smacking him in the face blinding his eye on the spot. It then fell to the ground in front of him, he looked down to see that it was truly nothing left but a tiny portion of a tail. The tail piece was still wriggling around for a moment as a bit of the remaining blood seeped from the tear, then finally came to stop.
"AHH!" Mountain dragon lord screamed in terror, it wasn't a roar, more like yelps.
The dragon who had been circling Night Silver's head, had been launched in a different direction. He was on a collision course for the disoriented dragon lord that had finally managed to crawl out of the crater.
"CATCH ME!" The hurtling dragon screamed.
"Huh, WHAT!" The disoriented dragon stammered, confused and surprised.
With no way to stop himself the hurtling dragon tried bracing for impact. The disoriented dragon had no ability to react, even in its now stimulated brain… There wasn't any time.
The two dragons collided with a loud thud. The hurtling dragon hadn't stopped moving, instead he had only managed to carry away the other dragon with him. The two of them, slamming into the mountain face with such force it might as well have been a meteor. The crater they created together wasn't nearly as massive as the first one, only this time it was perpendicular to the pull of the earth. Both dragon's passed out and fell down from the crater. Each of them barely clinging to life by a thread.
"Well, that was an accident. It worked though, so I guess it's alright. Truly a great show. I love it when those filled with a senseless pool of pride in their feeble strength start rolling around in fear. So I will kill you with a truly special spell. Consider it a gift in exchange for you showing me a good time." Night Silver said, then dozens of spell circles appeared around her, the same time that her lips curled into a smile.
