Chapter 54: The Winged-Humans (15) (Rumbling Dragons 6)
Mountain dragon lord's eyes widened even further, his fear no longer so shallow and small to paralyze him completely. No, this was a different level. What he felt was hopelessness, a fear so deep he couldn't help but perform futile acts of desperation. His mind had been twisted into complete confusion, no longer did a single neuron fire normally. He took a step back with his hind leg. But he couldn't turn for fear of being caught.
"You… You're a monster!" Mountain dragon lord shouted in hopes of finding something to turn the tide of battle. Battle? What battle? This was nothing more than a joke to her from the start. Ever since she had poisoned me… No, since before then. I had been doomed to lose this battle.
"Uncle, that's a terrible thing to say." Brightness dragon lord growled out. Especially to your future Niece in-law.
"There's no need to defend me. Though I don't mind if you do." Night Silver giggled as her spell activation went into the next phase. "Ah, not much longer now. Judgement will be upon you, Mountain dragon lord." She added, with a crack of her neck.
"What kind of magic is this!!!! HOW can you use magic so easily! It's dangerous and runs on the power of souls!" Mountain dragon lord snapped back…
"I'd answer you, but it's too late for you. End of Earth!" Night Silver smirked as her spell activated.
The magic circles sprung to life, their rotation and revolution reached blinding speeds. A sickly, nearly poison-like fog appeared and surrounded the target. The Mountain Dragon lord couldn't help but breathe in the fog, but it didn't matter either way. For the moment he had been touched by this fog, his fate had been sealed.
End of Earth, a truly intense druidic spell of the super tier level. Its effects can be changed and customized to some extent by the caster, for a fee of course. The result of the spell will always remain the same though. With the change in how the effect of the spell is applied even within the same individual, it was one of those spells dubiously difficult to deal with, as all super tier spells should have been.
Generally, End of Earth is a rather simple spell in what it does. The caster targets a creature, area or group, really it can be anything that has Earth in some way shape or form. For players, this spell will deal massive damage to their equipment and health, and it does damage based on the amount of earth resistance the target/targets have, as well as their Earth damage boosts. So if a player has 0 in each, the spell does a random number of 0 or 1 damage to said target. If the player had 50 in each, the player would be left with 1 Hp, or die.
However, on creatures, specifically high ranking ones this spell had an extremely devastating effect. It eliminated the creature's earth element based abilities entirely; for creatures with nothing but earth attributes, the spell instantly killed them regardless of the amount of Hp they had. A spell deemed mighty, mostly because of this particular use case. As using it in player verse player matches was akin to suicide. Another one of the spell's major drawbacks, is that no matter how much a person wants to, the spell can not be cast instantly. This means that there wasn't even a cash shop item that could pull it off.
With such a spell having been used on Mountain dragon lord, it was over. There was no longer a single hope of him ever using any magic with earth based elements infused. Which ended up being the very thing that was keeping him alive in the first place. So, with a thud, Mountain dragon lord's body collapsed onto the ground, lifeless and most assuredly dead.
"Ah now that he is down for a good time to make sure the other two are dead…" Night Silver stretched, her body moving in a naturally sensational manner.
"Sil… Is it possible to save those two? Even as prisoners? They were forced to grow up under the Great Dragon Mother's rule. It's possible they come around once the lies are removed from their world view." Brightness dragon lord asked, a little timidly. I know I'm asking for a lot but… They are much younger than I am, I'd rather see them prosper than otherwise.
"You don't mind if I use them as living test subjects then? So long as you are alright with that, I am willing to spare their lives. And I can promise that if they open their eyes to the truth, I will give them the opportunity to earn their freedom." Night Silver countered. "Unfortunately, this is the best I can offer you. Both of them committed acts against you and myself." She explained, hoping that would be enough. I'd really rather not have to do anything drastic after all of that. It could sour relations with the others elsewhere.
"Hmm, I see… In that case, can you limit whatever you have planned for them to something that wouldn't cause too much strain? I believe they will come around sooner if they were to be treated well." Brightness replied a little disheartened but, not to the point of conflict.
"Don't worry my friend, once they come around they will be treated well. I have a few others held prisoner at the moment as well. Their treatment is far worse than what I'm planning for these two." Night Silver replied back with a little concern. "I told you that information only because it felt right to inform you of it ahead of time. The one's I have captive now are those who went and double crossed the agreement we all made that day. My people were eaten alive by them, even after the plans we had all agreed to." She elaborated further.
"Oh, in that case I'd have killed them. Do what you want with those idiots. Only a fool would ever cross someone with strength of your caliber. My only goal was to have punishments befitting the offense. And those two were too young to even bother asking for their help that day." Brightness said in a more relieved tone.
"Hmm, then perhaps we can treat their injuries enough to wake them up. If what you say is true that beating may have been all it took to swap sides." Night Silver said gently tapping her chin.
