Chapter 9: Study
Lin Yun thought for a moment. He had a lot of ground to cover, but he decided to start with the basics.
"I want to review all the high school-level knowledge for the upcoming national exam," He said. "Do I have to pay Technology Point here?"
Luna's smile widened. "As you wish, Master. The Technology Point will be used for a complete set of technologies. General high school and university-level knowledge is free."
With a graceful gesture, a large, polished wooden desk materialized before Lin Yun. A comfortable chair appeared behind it, inviting him to take a seat. The desk was soon adorned with stacks of textbooks, each one radiating a faint, ethereal glow.
The titles ranged across all the subjects Lin Yun needed to master for the national exam - mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, and literature.
"These textbooks contain all the high school-level knowledge you require," Luna explained. "You can study them at your own pace, and I will be here to assist you if you have any questions."
Lin Yun's eyes gleamed with excitement. He reached for the nearest textbook, its cover adorned with the familiar symbols of calculus. As he opened it, the pages seemed to come alive, the equations and diagrams dancing before his eyes.
He began to read, his mind absorbing the information at an astonishing rate. The complex concepts that had once baffled him now seemed intuitive and clear. He could visualize the mathematical models, their intricate patterns weaving a tapestry of understanding in his mind.
Time seemed to melt away as Lin Yun delved deeper into the world of knowledge. He moved from one subject to another, his mind effortlessly assimilating the information. He solved intricate physics problems, deciphered the mysteries of chemical reactions, and traced the threads of history through the ages.
Luna observed him from a distance, a gentle smile playing on her lips. She was impressed by Lin Yun's focus and determination. He was a quick learner, his mind eager to grasp new concepts.
Whenever Lin Yun encountered a particularly challenging problem or concept, Luna was there to offer guidance. Her explanations were clear and concise, her insights illuminating the path to understanding.
With Luna's assistance, Lin Yun's progress was remarkable. He devoured the textbooks, his thirst for knowledge insatiable. He felt a sense of empowerment, a newfound confidence in his abilities.
As the hours passed, Lin Yun's understanding deepened. He could feel the knowledge solidifying in his mind, becoming an integral part of his being. He was no longer simply memorizing facts and figures; he was truly understanding the underlying principles.
He began to see connections between different subjects, weaving a tapestry of knowledge that spanned the entire spectrum of high school education.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Lin Yun closed the last textbook, a sense of accomplishment washing over him. He had reviewed all the high school-level knowledge he needed for the national exam.
He looked up at Luna, his eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you, Luna. I couldn't have done it without you."
Luna smiled warmly. "It was my pleasure, Master. You have a remarkable mind, and I have no doubt that you will achieve great things."
Lin Yun stood up, stretching his limbs and taking a deep breath. He felt invigorated and ready to face the challenges ahead.
"I'm ready to return to the real world," he said, his voice filled with confidence.
Luna nodded. "As you wish, Master."
With a wave of her hand, the classroom dissolved, replaced once again by the vast, empty space. Lin Yun felt a gentle tugging sensation, pulling him back towards the physical world.
He closed his eyes, bracing himself for the transition.
When he opened them again, he was back in his bed, the morning sun streaming through his window. He sat up, feeling refreshed and energized.
He glanced at the clock. It was 7:30 AM. He had spent almost 80 hours in the DDL space, but it had felt like only a few hours in the real world.
Lin Yun smiled, a sense of accomplishment filling him. He had taken the first step on his journey to becoming a tech tycoon. And he had the Deep Dive Learning Space to thank for it.
He got out of bed, eager to start his day. He had a lot of work to do, but he was confident that he could achieve anything he set his mind to.
After freshening up, Lin Yun went downstairs to find his parents already busy in the store.
"Good morning, Mom, Dad," he greeted them cheerfully.
Wang Chulan looked up, a surprised smile spreading across her face. "Yun'er, you're up early today. Did you sleep well?"
Lin Yun nodded. "Yes, I had a great sleep. I feel refreshed and ready to tackle the day."
Lin Canghai chuckled. "That's good to hear. Now, go eat your breakfast. We have a busy day ahead of us."
Lin Yun sat down at the kitchen table, a steaming bowl of porridge and a plate of century eggs placed before him. He ate quickly, his mind still buzzing with the knowledge he'd acquired in the DDL space.
After breakfast, Lin Yun helped his parents stock the shelves and attend to customers. He worked with a newfound energy and efficiency, his mind sharp and focused.
His parents noticed the change in him. He seemed more confident and assertive, his movements quick and decisive.
"Yun'er, you seem different today," Wang Chulan commented, a hint of concern in her voice.
Lin Yun smiled. "I'm just feeling good, Mom. I had a great sleep, and I'm ready to take on the world."
Wang Chulan and Lin Canghai exchanged a knowing glance. They were happy to see their son so motivated and full of life.
Wang Chulan glanced at the clock on the wall and said, "It's time for school. You should leave now."
"Alright, Mom." Lin Yun nodded and headed out with his bag. He leisurely rode his bicycle and enjoyed the scenery before arriving at school 10 minutes later.
"Brother Yun." Pan Wei waved his hand as he saw Lin Yun enter the classroom.
Lin Yun put his bag down and sat at his desk. "Morning."
"Brother Yun, I heard that there will be a mock exam today," Pan Wei said with a bitter smile.
"Oh?" Lin Yun was slightly surprised. This was indeed a good chance for him to test the knowledge he had just learned.
