In separation they returned to normal size, of course, however, Brandy could feel a change instantly and she wasn't the only one, Leonid could see it as well. She asks Lauin what he did and he says that when he was still a celestial he had access to the celestial mindscape where all celestials communicate with each other and it's from there he learnt how to save her life.

He said that he changed her physical constitution so although she remained human she now possessed the same physical capabilities as an Eternal except she wasn't an Eternal, in this way, her body would naturally absorb energy from the universe to sustain her and since the Starbrand is also a form of cosmic energy she draws power from it instead of the Starbrand draining her life force.

She then asks him about his own body, she says that as a Starbrand she could sense his true state, in his fight with the Exterminator the life seed was damaged, and although it successfully rebuilt his body it couldn't sustain his consciousness without repair which is why she told the humans to bring him Avengers mountain, the residual celestial radiation from the dead celestial would speed up his recovery.

Lauin says that he knows she helped him, he tells her that although he was unconscious in reality he was fully conscious the entire time he just couldn't use his body, he also learnt of her situation within that time, he tells her that during the fusion he used the massive energies of the Starbrand to recover his celestial life seed and that weakened the brand long enough for him to alter her body without its counter attack.

It's how he saved both of them at the same time, Brandy was happy, she could now stop worrying about how long she had left before she turned to dust, she had a full life ahead of her right now, she asks him how much of his power he was able to restore and he says that thanks to the Starbrand he was able to recover about 2.5% of his energy, of course his body contains only 0.5% as the rest was used in transforming the life seed into a life core like a true celestial should have.

Binary then says that she felt him drain her power, he tells her that she has the most stable energy source of the isotope radiation he has ever encountered and it's the most efficient energy to stabilize a biological Eternal without any feedback from hosting that much energy, he tells her that he borrowed her power to save Brandy's life and luckily he succeeded.

Leonid asks him what he is going to do next and he says that his life has been on hold for the past four and a half years, first, he needs to see his family, and then he will head to the university to try and see if he could recover his scholarship. After that, he will try to have a normal human life while he still can.

He tells them that the masters of evil may be gone but he feels like something else is coming he just doesn't know when it will be upon them so he will try to squeeze out as much normal human time as he can possibly get but when the world needs him he will answer the call.

Lauin had managed to retain his celestial outlook except it was now his heroic persona but like he had expected he couldn't contact the celestial mindspace anymore, his powers had been weakened from a colossal dragon into a newly hatched pigeon. He could still utilize his basic powers of flight and some strength, he was still smart and he could alter some molecules to manipulate low-level matter and energy manipulation so as heroes go he wasn't so badly off.

However it would be eons before could regain his true power, but at least he was alive he simply flexed his muscles as he said his goodbyes, he turned to the sky and shot upwards at multiple times the speed sound, he hadn't intended on doing it that hard, however, his departure even left a 10 meter shattered depression in the ground and generated a shockwave at least a few hundred meters wide.

The stacked sonic booms, on the other hand, were the real damage as they even cracked one of the ice sheets, he thought to himself that he should never launch with his full speed next time, as it turns out he was much faster than he had anticipated, he soared into the clouds as he headed for Uganda, it wasn't long before he was home, it was a while before his family had heard from him,

He greeted them calmly and he also learnt that his baby sister had awakened her X gene but they weren't sending her to the Mutant nation as there she would be hated and hunted by the world, they were planning on keeping her power suppressed for the time being while they waited for him to get back in touch with them.

Lauin decided to give them the story straight, he first asked them whether they were his biological parents, and they looked at each other as it suddenly came to their realization that he had learned the truth, his father told him that they didn't give birth to him but they were his parents none the less. Lauin tells them that he is well aware that they are his parents and nothing in the whole wide world could ever change that.

He then tells them that he just wants to know where he came from, his father says that he was born a deviant however unlike the rest of the deviants he was immune from excessive deviation but it came at a cost, he couldn't harness cosmic energy as well as the others, it could enhance his physique enabling him to live for a very long time, he could heal himself from virtually any injury and he was immune from literally all earthly ails,

He was slightly stronger, faster, smarter and more durable than an average human however even at his best he is comparable to a human super soldier and nothing more than that, because of his genetic makeup he can sustain his prime age for thousands of years without any sign of weakness. However that came with a few setbacks, he could not utilize cosmic energy for more impressive abilities like the rest of his kind, which made him an outcast of sorts and so he chose to leave them.

His complexion resembled an African so he decided to move to Africa, he says he moved around for a while before he decided to settle in Uganda where he fell in love with a beautiful young woman named Lauren Nangodi, she was a mutant in hiding because she was afraid of the public's reaction to her powers.

Her natural abilities allowed her to detect and harness the vibrational frequency, it was how she could tell he wasn't entirely human because he vibrated at a different frequency, she decided to trust him as it was possible he too was in hiding. They accepted each other for who they were and decided to live a simple life. However, one day, a few years after they had been married, they found an abandoned young boy on one of their vacation trips.

Lauren could tell this child vibrated on a cosmic level however aside from that he was just a regular child just like his father who at the time had chosen the identity of Franklin Lexis. He says they raised the child for years but apart from his knowledge there was no sign he was different so they chose to keep this to themselves.

He says that they never intended to hide the truth from him it was just that they didn't want him to feel like he wasn't normal for no apparent reason, years after they had raised him they surprisingly got a child of their own and she didn't bear any difference from him so they chose to let the two of them believe they were related.

However over four years ago his mother sensed his vibrational frequency except it was millions of times stronger, there was news of a gigantic being spotted rising out of the Atlantic Ocean, and then it just vanished.

They hadn't heard from Lauin since then and time passed, after a year they thought he had just left them and returned to where he came from but then out of the blue his mother caught a slight feeling of Lauin once again a few hours ago but it vanished as fast as it came.

They knew he was still alive but that was about all, they couldn't be certain it was actually him they were sensing, there was a chance it was the being that sent him to them so there was a big chance he returned to his true home, it was only after they saw him arrive that they knew he was actually still alive.

Lauin tells them about his true identity and what actually happened to him in the four years he has been missing, by the time he is done he is shocked to see that his sister has long returned and was standing in the back listening to the entire story, she was shocked that Lauin wasn't actually her sister but that was easily overshadowed by his story about meeting gods, dying and being resurrected by a god and the fact that he too is a god who has lost most of his powers.

Without any second thought, she instantly asked whether she could stay with him and he asked her how long she had been back, she said that she saw him enter the house when he returned, Lauin was shocked she had been back that long and he still hadn't detected her, his senses really had been dulled.

However one look at her and he learnt that his senses hadn't been dulled, she was right there but he still couldn't detect her, he asked her how she could avoid all detection, their mother says that Lauren was born with the ability to nullify all vibrational frequencies around her, in a way she is immune to all detection software that doesn't use line of sight or temperature detection.

It took some discussion but the parents admitted it was always their plan to get her to stay with him, Lauin thought about it for a moment and realized it would be hard for him to actually live with her in Memphis without the proper paperwork and he couldn't obtain the proper paperwork with a student visa.

However the situation was easy for him, he could easily move to Avengers Mountain but his sister was a different case altogether, she couldn't live in Avengers Mountain which meant he needed to find her a place to stay.

Memphis had good high schools but he was certain he wouldn't be staying in Memphis for long which meant that soon enough he would have to leave her there alone.

He thought about it throughout the night and came up with a solution, he expanded his mind over the planet searching until he landed on his target, deep within the Immortal city Leonid presided over everything and there Lauin found him, he asked him what the procedure was for someone to enter Immortal city,

Leonid said the city is filled with well immortal people, Lauin then explained the situation of his parents to Leonid who seemed interested in Lauin's father more than anything else he instantly said that he would be willing to house them in the Immortal city indefinitely.

Lauin then spoke to his parents the following morning and told them about his offer to transport them to Europe, the first person to turn the offer down was his mother, she said that Uganda was her home and Masaka was her origin when she developed powers she moved to Kidepo valley as no one there knew her there to notice her differences.

However, when they had Lauin people in Kidepo would have wondered where the child came from so they moved back to Masaka where people would simply think she left because she was pregnant and now she returned with a child. The house in Masaka was also her family home and she couldn't leave it again unless she had a compelling reason to do so.

Their father then said that he left that life behind him and all he wants is to be a husband to his wife and a father to his two children, if that needs him to stay in Masaka then that would be it. Suddenly there was a bright light in the living room as an octagonal light shape appeared on the floor beside Lauin.

From the light tile came Leonid, Lauin explained the situation and Leonid simply said that they don't actually need to move to the immortal city, he said that he could get them citizenship status and the capability to travel to and from the city using its teleportation hub at will.

As for the matter of schools, Immortal City exists within the city of Rome so as long as they get its citizenship they will officially be citizens of Italy,

As such Kate can qualify for free high school and college education and since she comes from the immortal city she even gets a few extra perks and they can easily visit her whenever they want or she could visit, he says that he could establish a hub right within their home that connects directly to the immortal city,

As a celestial Lauin already had a residence in the immortal city although he has yet to claim its citizenship, however since he is a celestial he doesn't actually need citizenship, he says that for all he knows Lauin already had a residence in Avengers Mountain that he can claim at any time he needs for his use.

The family thinks about it for a while as Leonid has his engineers establish a transportation hub in the house's basement, by the time the hub was done the family had agreed to move to the Immortal City for two weeks and help Kate move in, after her education has been squared off they would return home.

Lauin also chose to remain with them during this time and once all was settled, he could return to Memphis and see if he could regain his university position.
