Chapter 4: Elsa
Subaru gave Emilia a small smile. "See? That wasn't so hard, was it?"
Emilia blinked at him, clearly confused by how insistent he was. "You're a strange person."
Subaru shrugged. "I get that a lot."
Emilia then started too move as Subaru stopped as he though too him self. "I need a weapon".
[Pandora then spoke in his head. "I think this is the perfect time too use the Sin System Shop feature".]
[Satella then spoke as she smiled as hee chibi self was shown. "There is good weapons there".]
[Daphne then spoke in Subaru as she spoke. "Oh an Axe, No a Great Sword or something stronger"]
Subaru then went too the system, as he saw everything was either [20 sin points or 0.1 Death Point] to buy as then buys two particular dagger.
Ding!
[Assassin Killer Dagger was bought] [100 sin point left]
Ding!
[Knight Killer Dagger was bought] [70 sin point remaining]
As he pulled then out his inventory, they came with a sheath, as he puts tired them too his jacket.
Subaru felt the weight of the daggers on his jacket and gave them a few experimental grips. They felt balanced, sharp, and—most importantly—dangerous.
"Not bad," he muttered, feeling a strange sense of satisfaction.
[Pandora grinned. "Now you look like a proper rogue~."]
[Daphne giggled. "Not strong enough! But better than nothing."]
[Satella just smiled softly. "As long as you stay safe…"]
Subaru shook his head. Yeah, safe. Sure.
He looked back at Emilia, who had been watching him with a puzzled expression.
"Why do you look so… serious all of a sudden?" she asked, tilting her head.
Subaru chuckled, waving off her concern. "Ah, just mentally preparing for anything that might happen. Can never be too careful, right?"
Emilia hummed in agreement, though she still seemed a little suspicious.
They continued walking toward the slums, where Felt would be waiting. Subaru kept his hands close to his new weapons, his mind racing.
This time, things will be different.
As they reached the rundown part of the city, Subaru kept an eye out for anything suspicious. He already knew that Elsa was dangerous, and this time, he wasn't going to let her catch him off guard.
Soon enough, they arrived at the broken-down building where Felt was supposed to meet them. The girl was already waiting, sitting atop a wooden crate with a cocky grin.
"About time you guys showed up," Felt said, flipping the Insignia in her hand. "So, you really want this thing, huh?"
Before Emilia could respond, Subaru stepped forward. "Yeah, but let's cut the small talk. We both know something bad is coming."
Felt raised an eyebrow. "What are you—"
BANG!
The door to the slum hideout suddenly burst open.
Elsa stood in the doorway, her usual eerie smile in place. "My, my… so eager to meet me?"
Subaru tensed, gripping the hilts of his daggers.
This time, he was ready.
Elsa looked at Subaru and Emilia as she spoke. "But who are you two".
Emilia looked at her as she spoke. "I am here too get my Insignia back".
Elsa looked at them as she spoke. "Looking at Emilia, I never cut a Half Elf Before".
Subaru then Unsheathed both dagger as he looked at her. "Yeah not happening".
Ding!
[Witch Factor Synchronization actived]
[Daphne then spoke in his mind. "Kick her ass]
[Typhon then spoke in his mind as well. "Even do we didn't show, all of use want her too burn for killing you]
Elsa's eerie smile widened as she noticed Subaru's stance. "Oh? You're actually planning to fight me?"
Subaru felt his body tremble slightly—not from fear, but from the power coursing through him. The Witch Factors were resonating, filling him with a strange mix of calm and rage.
[Pandora's voice echoed in his mind, playful yet firm. "Don't get reckless. Use your tools wisely."]
[Satella whispered softly. "Be careful… please."]
Subaru's grip on his daggers tightened. "Yeah, I am."
Elsa giggled, licking her lips. "Good. I was starting to get bored."
With a blur of movement, she lunged at Emilia, her dagger gleaming in the dim light.
Not this time!
Subaru reacted instantly, his [Invisible Providence] activating as unseen arms pushed Elsa's blade away. At the same time, he swung his Assassin Killer Dagger at her exposed side.
Clang!
Elsa twisted unnaturally mid-air, deflecting the attack with her second dagger.
"Oho~ You're interesting," she purred. "But can you keep up?"
She spun, sending a deadly slash toward his throat. Subaru barely ducked in time, feeling the wind from her strike. He countered with a swipe from his Knight Killer Dagger, aiming for her ribs, but she twisted again, avoiding the blow with inhuman grace.
She's too fast!
Emilia, taking advantage of the distraction, raised her hand. "Enough!"
A burst of ice shot toward Elsa, forcing the assassin to backflip out of the way. She landed gracefully, tilting her head. "A spirit user? This is getting more fun~"
Puck appeared beside Emilia, his emerald eyes glowing. "I don't like you," he said, his voice colder than the ice forming around them.
Elsa merely giggled. "That makes two of us."
Subaru exhaled, his mind racing. I need to find an opening. I need to end this before she kills any of us again.
[Daphne's voice rang in his mind. "Use it. Use Gluttonous Consumption. Take something from her."]
Subaru hesitated.
Could he really steal one of Elsa's abilities? Could he risk using the Authority now?
Elsa's eyes locked onto him, her smile widening. "Oh? That look… You're planning something, aren't you?"
She dashed toward him, blades flashing.
Time to decide.
Subaru then kicked her away, as he looked at Felt. "You what ever you name is, Get Help!".
Felt flinched at Subaru's sudden command but quickly regained her composure. "Tch, don't order me around, dumbass!" she snapped, but she was already backing away. She knew she couldn't do anything against this monster of a woman.
Elsa, having landed gracefully despite Subaru's kick, let out an amused chuckle. "That's quite the kick. You're full of surprises."
Subaru didn't respond. Instead, he adjusted his grip on his daggers, his mind working through possible strategies. I need to keep her attention on me until Felt gets back with help… if she even listens.
Emilia took a step forward, raising a hand. "Subaru, we should retreat—"
"No can do," Subaru interrupted. "She's too fast. If we turn our backs, she'll cut us down before we take three steps."
Puck hovered beside Emilia, nodding. "He's right, Lia. This woman isn't playing fair."
Elsa smirked. "Oh? But where's the fun in fair fights?" She dashed forward again, her blades flashing toward Subaru's throat.
Subaru activated [Invisible Providence], the unseen arms blocking her strike just in time. Using the opening, he swung his Assassin Killer Dagger at her leg, aiming to cripple her movement.
Elsa, however, twisted her body unnaturally, narrowly avoiding the strike before retaliating with a lightning-fast counter. Subaru barely managed to dodge, but a sharp pain flared in his arm as her blade grazed him.
She's too fast!
[Daphne's voice echoed in his mind. "You won't win like this. Use my Authority."]
Subaru gritted his teeth. He still wasn't sure if he wanted to use Gluttonous Consumption, but if he didn't, someone was going to die.
With a deep breath, he made his decision.
Time to take something from you, Bowel Hunter.
His eyes gleamed ominously as he activated the Authority of Gluttony.
Subaru then hold her dagger together as then he sent one hee dagger flying as then grabbed her face and slammed her too bee wall as he activated his skill
Ding!
[Skill activated: Gluttonous Consumption – [Allows the user to consume anything, including memories and abilities.]
[Daphne then came around Subaru like Spirit only he can she as she spoken. "Take hee dagger skill her memory of an Assassin]
Subaru then spoke. "Say good bye to your Memory... Wait no"
[Skill Actived: Talking away all Elsa twisted memorys]
[Daphne then smacked her head as he spoke. "Let's me fix it, each of us have some control over the system]
Glitch!
[Skill Activated: Talking away part of Elsa Dagger skill]
Elsa let out a strangled gasp as Subaru's hand remained firmly on her face, his Authority draining away her skills. Her body trembled as if she was resisting, but it was futile.
Ding!
[Skill Acquired: Phantom Blade Mastery – A dagger technique that allows the user to strike with near-invisible speed and precision.]
Subaru's eyes widened as the knowledge of her dagger techniques flooded his mind. His muscles tensed instinctively, as if they had been trained in the art of assassination all his life. He could feel the way Elsa moved, the way she fought—it was as if a piece of her had become a part of him.
Elsa, meanwhile, stumbled backward, her breaths ragged. Her expression wasn't one of pain, but… confusion.
"W-What… what did you do to me?" she muttered, gripping her remaining dagger, though her stance was shaky.
Subaru narrowed his eyes. She doesn't even realize what she's lost.
[Daphne floated around him with a grin. "Nice one! Now she's not as deadly anymore."]
[Typhon pouted. "Boo, I wanted to break her!"]
Elsa shook her head as if trying to clear her thoughts, then locked eyes with Subaru, her smirk returning—but it wasn't as confident as before. "You're… really something special, aren't you?"
Subaru readjusted his stance, his new skill flowing naturally into his movements. He now knew how to fight with daggers—how to predict attacks, how to counter them. He had taken the very thing that made Elsa a deadly assassin.
For the first time, the Bowel Hunter had lost her edge.
"Emilia," Subaru called out without looking back. "Get ready. We're finishing this now."
Elsa let out a low chuckle. "Oh? You think you can kill me?"
Subaru smirked, twirling his daggers with a newfound precision. "Not think. Know."
"If he can't I will".
The door then swings open, as walked in was a man, stands at exactly six feet tall, making him several inches taller than Natsuki Subaru. His most striking feature is his distinct flaming red hair that shines as brightly as Felt's crimson eyes. His sparkling blue eyes portray a sense of confidence and recklessness.
[Insert image of Reinhard]
Next too him was Felt, as everyone looked at him, as Emilia spoke. "Reinhard".
Elsa spoke Looking at him. "The sword saint".
[Satella then spoke in Subaru mind. "You really do have luck"]
Subaru then spoke in his mind. "Who the hell is that".
[Echidna then spoke in his head. "Just now he is someone that has stupid enough Divin Blessing that makes him stronger then Satella"]
Subaru's mind went blank for a moment. Stronger than Satella?
He took a step back, instinctively understanding that this man—this Reinhard—was on an entirely different level. Even Elsa, who had been so smug and confident moments ago, had stiffened at his presence.
Reinhard gave a polite smile, but his eyes were sharp. "I see you've been causing trouble again, Elsa."
Elsa let out a soft chuckle, her grip on her dagger tightening. "You flatter me, Sword Saint. I was just having a little fun. But it seems I may have overstayed my welcome."
Felt huffed, crossing her arms. "Yeah, yeah, enough talk. Just kick her ass already!"
Subaru's system pinged again.
Ding!

Subaru narrowed his eyes. The system was making it clear—his fight wasn't over yet.
Elsa grinned, her stance shifting. "Before I go, why don't I at least try to kill one of you?"
And then she moved.
Subaru barely had time to react before his instincts screamed at him. He swung his daggers, activating Phantom Blade Mastery, just as Elsa's attack closed in. Their blades clashed, sparks flying as Subaru's newfound skill allowed him to keep up—if only barely.
But the real danger wasn't her dagger. It was her eyes.
There was a desperate, wild glint in them—she knew she couldn't win against Reinhard, so she was aiming to take someone with her before she fled.
And Subaru was her perfect target.
Ding!
[Skill Activated: Witch Factor Synchronization]
[Typhon grinned in his mind. "Break her!"]
Subaru dodged just in time, using Invisible Providence to knock Elsa's attack off-course. But she was relentless—her blade curved unnaturally, aiming straight for his throat.
Just as Subaru prepared to counter, Reinhard moved.
It wasn't just speed—it was like the air itself bent around him. One moment he was standing beside Felt, the next, he was in front of Subaru, effortlessly blocking Elsa's attack with his bare hand.
Elsa's eyes widened. "What—?"
With a single motion, Reinhard struck.
A gust of wind erupted through the room as Elsa was sent flying, crashing through a wall and tumbling into the alley outside.
Reinhard lowered his hand, looking at Subaru. "You're impressive. But you should leave this part to me."
Subaru let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "Yeah. No argument there."
Outside, Elsa groaned, forcing herself to her feet. But for the first time since the fight started—she looked afraid.
Reinhard took a step forward, his presence alone like an overwhelming force. "Shall we end this?"
Elsa got up and looked at Subaru as she spoke. "Fuck this, but let me tell you something Knight".
She pointed her dagger at Subaru. "Be worry of him".
As she jumped away disappearing, Reinhard turned his head too see Emilia and Subaru. "It has been while, I think you were looking for this".
Reinhard reached into his coat and pulled out a small, ornate insignia—the very same one Emilia had been searching for. The dragon crest gleamed in the dim light, a symbol of her royal candidacy.
Emilia gasped, her violet eyes lighting up. "That's—!"
Reinhard nodded, stepping forward and handing it to her. "Felt had it, but she has no interest in keeping it. Consider it returned."
Felt huffed, crossing her arms. "Yeah, yeah. That thing's more trouble than it's worth."
Subaru, meanwhile, was still stuck on Elsa's words. "Be wary of him."
He clenched his fists. That meant something. And he wasn't sure he liked the implications.
Ding!
[Quest Completed: Survive Until Reinhard Intervenes]
[Rewards: +5% to all stats, 50 Sin Points, 3 Death Points]
[Echidna then spoke in his mind, smirking. "How interesting…"]
[Satella whispered gently. "Be careful, Subaru…"]
Reinhard turned to Subaru, smiling. "You fought well. I didn't expect to see someone keeping up with an assassin like Elsa."
Subaru rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, well… I had a little help."
Reinhard's sharp blue eyes lingered on him for a second too long, making Subaru shift uncomfortably. Does he suspect something?
Before he could dwell on it, Emilia stepped forward, holding the insignia close to her chest. "Thank you, Reinhard. This means a lot to me."
Reinhard nodded. "It was my duty. But I must ask—what will you do next?"
Subaru took a deep breath. He already knew the answer.
"We're heading to the capital," he said. "There's still a lot to do."
Reinhard smiled. "Then allow me to escort you."
