Subaru rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, 'fate.' Where have I heard that one before?" He then pointed at each Witch, ticking off his fingers as he listed their accomplishments. "Typhon, you literally played judge, jury, and executioner based on whether you thought someone was guilty. Daphne, you created horrifying, never-dying beasts to 'fix' world hunger. Satella—well, we all know what she did, but I'm still on the fence about whether it was really her or something else. Echidna, you hoard knowledge to the point of morality be damned, and Pandora... well, I don't even know what the hell you did, but I know it's bad!"

Pandora gave a playful smile, tilting her head. "Now, now, dear Subaru, assumptions can be quite dangerous~."

Subaru ignored her, continuing. "Carmilla and Minerva are probably the only ones who aren't straight-up disasters, but even Minerva's healing punches can cause natural disasters on the other side of the world!"

Minerva puffed out her cheeks. "That's not my fault!"

Subaru groaned, throwing his hands up. "So forgive me if I'm not jumping at the opportunity to become the Witch King!"

Daphne giggled from her coffin-like chair. "B-but Subaru... isn't it fun?"

He felt a shiver down his spine but shook it off. Looking at the gathered Witches, he knew one thing for certain—his life had just gotten a lot more complicated.

Subaru then looked at Pandora. "I wanted too ask when I heard your sin Pandora, what exactly is your sin, I understand the name kind"

Pandora smiled mysteriously, tilting her head. "Oh? Curious, are we?"

Echidna narrowed her eyes. "Even among us Witches, her authority is unique. Unlike the others, her sin isn't tied to simple concepts like gluttony or wrath."

Pandora chuckled. "My sin? Vanity."

Subaru raised an eyebrow. "Vanity? Like being obsessed with yourself?"

Pandora giggled. "Not quite. Vanity is the sin of falsehoods, of rewriting reality itself. What is more vain than believing the world should change at your command?"

Carmilla, blushing furiously, hesitated before gently pressing her fingers against Subaru's forehead.
