Rebirth Counterattack: I Heard That the Imperial Marshal Has a Crush on Me

Chapter 173

As soon as these words came out, Chu Muxi felt a little embarrassed.

He raised his wrist and asked, “Is this it?” He pointed at the display screen with his other finger.

Tern nodded, “Yes, your authority should be under our boss now, and you can basically go anywhere.”

Chu Muxi touched the display screen and curled up the corner of his mouth.

Following Tern’s instructions, he walked to the door and entered a string of numbers. When a line of prompts appeared above, Tern said, “Aim this. Yes, that’s it.”

Chu Muxi did as he was told, and then heard a click as the door opened.

Chu Muxi followed Tern in and saw many plants that he had never seen before.

Compared with the many unnatural plants on the Central Star, the plants here were obviously naturally grown.

“Did you transplant these from other places?” Chu Muxi touched the trunk of a tree in front of him. The tree didn’t look very strange, but the fruit on it turned out to be transparent like crystal.

Then there seemed to be something else inside the crystal, like a living thing, squirming.

Chu Muxi didn’t pay attention at first, but when he took a closer look, he suddenly saw something moving inside. Startled, he took a big step back.

“What’s wrong?” Tern was standing far away, fearing that he might make Chu Muxi uncomfortable if he was too close.

Chu Muxi pointed to the crystal fruit. “What is this?”

Tern took one look at it and said with a simple smile, “Ah, this! We call it the crystal secret fruit. It’s very sweet. Do you want to try one? This is the first fruit tree from an alien galaxy, brought back by a military doctor.” Remembering that Chu Muxi had been startled earlier, he hurriedly added, “We were also startled when we got a closer look at it for the first time.”

When Chu Muxi heard it was edible, he quickly waved his hand. “No, no, no.”

The crystal secret fruit looked okay from a distance, but up close, the thing inside was squirming like a bug, which was a bit too much for him.

He walked a little farther inside, but the place was too big. After wandering around for a short while, Chu Muxi was ready to leave.

When he came out, he saw Tern communicating with someone.

When Tern saw him, he nodded and then said a few words before hanging up the communication device.

“Aren’t you going to explore some more?” Tern asked.

Chu Muxi nodded. “It’s too big, and I can’t finish it in half a day. Let’s come back when we have more time.”

Tern wondered if Chu Muxi found it boring because he wasn’t the boss standing with him.

He briefly glanced at Chu Muxi’s expression. Chu Muxi met his cautious gaze and raised his eyebrows in confusion.

“Then, shall we go somewhere else?” Tern asked.

Chu Muxi thought for a moment and asked, “Where do you repair the mechas here? Can I go and have a look?”

Tern shrugged. “Sure, but there’s not much to see there. Just some mechas that need repairs.”

Chu Muxi smiled and said, “I just want to see those. If it’s convenient, you can take me there.”

What else could Tern say? Of course, he made the arrangements.

“Then let’s go. We can just pass through here.”

Chu Muxi followed Tern onto the rail car, and the two of them went down a side branch.

They took a few more turns and finally stopped.

“We’re here.” Tern got out of the car first.

Chu Muxi followed behind. When he looked up, he saw a familiar metal door in front of him.
