Rebirth Counterattack: I Heard That the Imperial Marshal Has a Crush on Me

Chapter 172

Back at the base, Lu Junzhi had to take care of something, so he asked Tern to take Chu Muxi for a walk.

Before Lu Junzhi left, he glanced at Tern. Tern immediately stood up straight and said, “I promise to complete the task! Boss!”

Lu Junzhi nodded slightly. “I’ll leave for a while. After walking, I’ll let Tern take you to rest for a bit,” he said gently to Chu Muxi.

Tern turned around and pretended he didn’t exist.

Chu Muxi hummed, “You go do your work; I’ll go around with Tern. Don’t worry about me.”

Lu Junzhi touched his face, then took out something like a watch and put it on his wrist before turning around and leaving in the aircraft.

After Lu Junzhi left, Chu Muxi raised his wrist and took a look, discovering that there was a square display screen the size of a dial on the strap.

“Young Master Chu, where do you want to go?” As soon as Lu Junzhi left, Tern suddenly came to life.

Chu Muxi smiled slightly. “You can lead the way. I don’t know anyone here either.”

Tern scratched the back of his head. That was right; it was Chu Muxi’s first time, and he wouldn’t know if Tern asked him. Why had he been so stupid?

“I just said I would take you to the plantation. Do you want to go?” Tern asked for Chu Muxi’s opinion.

Chu Muxi nodded with great interest. “Okay.”

Chu Muxi originally thought they were going outside, but Tern didn’t take him out. He took him on the rail car and continued driving into the passage.

The further they went inside, the more Chu Muxi discovered a vast cave that he couldn’t have imagined.

Moreover, it extended in all directions.

There were countless forks in the road, and each fork led to different places.

If a stranger were to come in—assuming they could come—they would likely be dizzy at the first fork in the road, having no idea where to go next.

It was the kind of place where even bringing a map might not help in finding the right place right away.

After turning a few corners, a huge glass house appeared in his sight.

The rail car stopped at the door, and Chu Muxi looked inside through the glass in amazement.

This could not only be called a plantation; it could simply be described as a forest hidden in a cave.

Moreover, many of the plants inside where things Chu Muxi had never seen before.

“Is it really okay to go in casually?” Chu Muxi asked cautiously.

It always felt like there were a lot of secrets hidden here.

Tern smiled. “Of course! The boss said you can move around our base as you like; you can go anywhere. Besides, the most secret place in our base is where Chunjun is staying. You can go there; there’s nowhere else to go.”

Chu Muxi smiled as well. “Okay.”

He noticed Tern standing at the door and not moving, but looking at him.

Chu Muxi was confused. “What’s wrong? Is it inconvenient now? If it’s inconvenient—” Chu Muxi’s tone was very understanding.

“No, no, no, that’s not what I mean. There is no inconvenience. As I said, you can go wherever you want, Young Master Chu.” Tern waved his hands frantically. He grinned and added, “Actually, it’s because I don’t have permission for this place.”

Chu Muxi became more and more confused, his expression puzzled. “Then, why did you bring me here?”

Tern pointed to Chu Muxi’s hand, looking embarrassed. “Well, the authority is in your hands. When I say you can wander around, I don’t mean that I can go everywhere. I have to take you with me; you can get in anywhere.”
