Froslass, pierced through the chest by Dark Pulse, fell powerlessly from the sky and landed on the ground. Its eyes swirled, completely incapacitated, with its combat effectiveness gone.

"Lightning Deal!"

"Froslass is incapacitated. Greninja wins!" the referee announced.

Compared to Mismagius' inaction, Morty's Froslass still proved effective, forcing Greninja to use Substitute twice and exerting additional stamina with repeated attacks.

Now Greninja's physical strength was less than half of its peak. However, having only used two Pokémon to reduce Greninja's stamina by half was not good news for Morty.

Morty cursed under his breath, recalling Froslass to its Poké Ball. He then threw forward his last Poké Ball.

"Please, Gengar!"

The Poké Ball opened mid-air, revealing a stout, purple figure that landed on the battlefield.

"Gengar!" it grinned, flashing its wide white teeth.

Gengar LV64.

Chris's expression turned serious. Greninja's level was only 55, a result of recent intensive training. Previously, Chris had relied mostly on pseudo-legendary Pokémon like Garchomp and Tyranitar.

A gap of nine levels... Gengar was no average Pokémon. Unlike Froslass, whose attributes were evenly distributed, Gengar excelled with a high Special Attack and Speed, albeit at the cost of its physical strength and defense.

Meanwhile, the snowfall initiated by Froslass remained ongoing. Greninja's Role Play ability was still active, and its hazy figure flickered under the Snow Cloak ability.

Hail, once Morty's ally, now aided Greninja.

"Gengar, Lock On to the one on the left and use Shadow Ball!" Morty commanded, initiating his next attack.

Morty's keen eyes tracked Greninja's true form even as the Substitute obscured Chris's Pokémon amidst the snow. Despite Greninja defeating Froslass, its real body remained hidden within the wintry haze. Morty didn't lose focus.

Within the icy battlefield, Gengar darted left and right, raising its short arms to form ominous, black orbs. Two Shadow Balls burst forth from the snow, their trajectories arching in opposite loops before intersecting at Greninja's location.

"Water Shuriken!" Chris retaliated swiftly.

Greninja stepped back, unleashing Water Shuriken directly with both hands.

A collision seemed imminent. Two Shadow Balls converged, but Greninja's Substitute stepped forward to absorb the attack.

On the other hand, Gengar lacked such a shield and took all five hits from the Water Shuriken combo.

Morty remained unfazed, signaling with a commanding gesture. "Night Shade!"

Gengar's shadow elongated, growing into a massive, ghostly figure. The shadow coalesced with Gengar, enlarging its form into a Totem-like silhouette.

Greninja, emerging from the smoke with an attack ready, hesitated at the sight of the newly empowered Gengar.

"Shadow Sneak!" Morty seized the moment to attack.

Gengar's massive form lunged forward, and two shadowy, oversized hands extended from behind Greninja, gripping its feet tightly.

"Lock it down! Gengar, Encore, Shadow Ball!" Morty commanded.

Gengar formed two dark, swirling Energy Balls, crossing its stubby arms in the gloom. The Shadow Balls traced looping arcs through the air, aiming directly at Greninja.

Greninja had no escape this time. The Shadow Balls closed in, and there was no Substitute to intervene. Yet, as the twin Shadow Balls landed, Greninja was nowhere to be seen.

Instead of evading, Chris had withdrawn Greninja into its Poké Ball.

Morty frowned, visibly upset. "Hey, the Dojo Challenge rules don't allow Pokémon swaps! Withdrawing your Pokémon means it's considered incapacitated!" he protested.

The referee turned toward Chris, awaiting clarification.

"I know," Chris replied nonchalantly. "That just means it's out of the battle."

Greninja had no chance against Gengar, and Chris saw no reason to let it endure unnecessary harm. He still had two alternate Pokémon to rely on.

"Greninja is unable to battle! Gengar wins!" the referee declared promptly.

As the announcement rang out, Chris tossed out his next Poké Ball.

"Boom!" The battlefield trembled as the massive Pokémon emerged.

"Tyranitar!" Tyranitar roared fiercely. An earthy yellow whirlwind erupted, sweeping away the snow and ice covering the battlefield. Even the snow-laden clouds in the sky dissipated.

The weather shifted dramatically from Hail to Sandstorm.

Dust and sand swirled across the battlefield. Tyranitar's colossal presence loomed menacingly amidst the storm, its wild expression almost feral in the gritty haze.

"Keep up the pressure with Shadow Ball!" Morty ordered, narrowing his eyes.

Gengar leapt into the air, its oversized frame moving with eerie agility. Its limbs blurred as it launched a barrage of Shadow Balls—seven in total. Each Energy Ball shrank slightly in size, from a basketball to a football, as they hurtled toward Tyranitar in quick succession.

"Tyranitar, Rock Slide!" Chris commanded calmly, choosing not to counter with any Dark-type moves despite their advantage.

Tyranitar, lumbering but unyielding, executed the move without hesitation. Massive rocks materialized in the sky, hurtling downward like meteors. Tyranitar's raw power brought an immediate, overwhelming response to Gengar's assault.

Meanwhile, the Shadow Balls slammed into Tyranitar, but their impact was negligible.

Tyranitar's Dark typing reduced Ghost damage to half its effect. Additionally, the Sandstorm boosted its Rock-type defenses by 50%. Combined with its innate bulk, Tyranitar barely felt the attack.

"Tyran!" Tyranitar roared, its defiance echoing across the battlefield.

The summoned rocks cascaded from above, crashing down relentlessly. As Tyranitar endured the Shadow Ball barrage, Gengar's enormous form was buried beneath the onslaught of falling stones.
