It's time to rest.

Lurantis was sent out, ready for action.

However, this time, no wild Pokémon emerged to challenge it. Perhaps they knew better—Lurantis was formidable. At Peak level, ordinary Pokémon were no match for it and would only be defeated.

An awkward silence hung in the air until Lucario stepped forward.

"Luu-ca!" Lucario called out confidently.

"I'll fight you."

Lurantis narrowed its eyes at the challenger.

Gallade, who was observing nearby, seemed momentarily surprised. These Pokémon, who had just arrived at the breeding house, were already making their presence known. Even so, Gallade exchanged a glance with Gardevoir before nodding toward the two. The silent approval indicated that the battle could proceed.

The duel began swiftly.

Lucario dashed forward with Quick Attack, moving like a blur. Lurantis, however, didn't flinch. Instead, several roots extended from its legs, anchoring it firmly to the ground. The Ingrain move had been activated, ensuring it could recover energy throughout the fight.

Then, its arms began to glow. With precision, Lurantis swung them in two rapid slashes, aiming for Lucario.

Lucario countered with a flurry of punches, meeting Lurantis head-on. The clash was intense, their movements a blur of power and speed.

"Lura~~!!" Lurantis cried, its voice sharp as its next move. From its arms, the powerful X-Scissor erupted, striking Lucario and sending it skidding backward across the ground.

Lucario came to a stop, eyes narrowing as it analyzed its opponent. The initial assumption that Lurantis was weaker had been proven wrong. Its strength and precision were undeniable.

Lurantis, too, was fully focused. One mistake could mean defeat.

With determination, Lurantis launched its next move. Golden light gathered rapidly around its arms, forming into blades with alarming speed. In an instant, it unleashed the powerful Solar Blade attack.

"Swish!"

The twin Solar Blades sliced through the air toward Lucario. Anticipating the strike, Lucario leaped high into the air, narrowly evading the attack.

As it ascended, blue energy began to form between its paws. The energy swirled and solidified into a sphere. With precision and force, Lucario hurled the glowing Aura Sphere directly at Lurantis.

The clash was far from over.

Lurantis, seeing the incoming Aura Sphere, once again gathered the energy for Solar Blade in its arms.

The next moment, a cry of determination escaped its mouth.

"Lura!~"

Something extraordinary occurred.

The light blades created by Lurantis spread out like a storm of sword energy, filling the sky. The entire area was illuminated as if by a blazing sun. The dazzling display forced many Pokémon to retreat in fear, scurrying to safer ground.

Directly opposite Lurantis and behind Lucario, no Pokémon dared remain. Who could risk staying there? Any stray attack could land at any moment, potentially knocking them out in a single blow.

Instead, the wild Pokémon huddled closer to Gallade and Gardevoir, watching the spectacle from the sidelines. It was undoubtedly the safest vantage point.

Lurantis's radiant attack shredded Lucario's Aura Sphere in midair as if it were nothing more than a paper target. The explosion of the Energy Ball was completely overwhelmed by the relentless light blades that surged forth, turning the battlefield into a sea of destruction.

The light blades hurtled toward Lucario, who found himself momentarily stunned.

"What is going on here?" Lucario seemed to think, exasperated. "All I wanted was a straightforward sparring match, and you're bringing out the big guns already?"

In a desperate move, Lucario activated Protect, forming a shimmering barrier around himself.

Boom!

The clash in midair was deafening. Lucario had no room to evade the onslaught and was forced to endure the brunt of the attack head-on. The sheer force of the blast sent Lucario hurtling backward, crashing through several trees before finally coming to a stop deep in the forest.

Gallade frowned as it watched Lucario's body slump against the debris.

Lurantis's aggressive fighting style was proving to be excessive. Panting heavily, Lurantis stood on the battlefield, clearly drained of energy after such a relentless assault. Gallade could only shake its head in exasperation.

"Seriously, Lurantis?" Gallade thought. "You blew through all your stamina in one attack? No wonder you used Ingrain right at the start. This must be a habit."

It looked at Lurantis with a mix of annoyance and pity.

"Did some wild Pokémon teach you this all-or-nothing fighting strategy? It's like you've decided that every battle has to end in a fight to the finish. Either you win or you go down trying."

Gallade sighed. "And what if Lucario had managed to pull off Reversal at the last second? You would've been finished."

Lurantis blinked, seemingly oblivious to Gallade's judgmental gaze.

Gallade let it go. "Fine. Let Evan deal with you later," it thought.

With a sigh, Gallade used Teleport to retrieve Lucario, who was now barely clinging to consciousness. In a moment, it reappeared, carrying the injured Pokémon gently in its arms.

"I'll take Lucario back," Gallade announced. "Lurantis, you're coming with me."

Lurantis hesitated, still trying to process what was happening, but eventually nodded. It withdrew its roots from the ground, dragging its exhausted body over to Gallade's side. Together, the two Pokémon disappeared in a flash of light.

The remaining wild Pokémon immediately began chattering among themselves, still in awe of the scene they had just witnessed.

"That was incredible!"

"I didn't expect Lurantis to be so strong!"

"Brother Tiger, did you see that?"

"Lurantis was amazing," a small child exclaimed, eyes sparkling with admiration. "It was just like a swordsman, cutting through the air with sword energy!"

As they spoke, the little one took a sip from a bottle of MooMoo Milk, clearly enjoying the aftermath of the battle.

Tiger, the elder sibling, nodded. "Yeah, that was something else. Lurantis, usually so calm and gentle, turned out to be an absolute powerhouse."

The battle left a lasting impression on everyone, from the Pokémon to the spectators. It was a thrilling sight that they wouldn't soon forget.

Meanwhile, back at the breeding house, Gardevoir stepped forward to maintain order. It encouraged the other Pokémon to continue their friendly battles, ensuring the atmosphere remained lively. Even Violet's Pokémon joined in, eager to participate in the fun.

As for Evan, he looked at Lucario, who Gallade had brought back, deep in thought.
