Pokémon: Day Bringer

Chapter 80: Elite Four Part 5

Haru looked at the Pokéball in his hand, turning to Whitney. "Thanks, Whitney."

Whitney smiled, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Well, he wanted to battle with you. Go ahead and fight him."

With a deep breath, Haru made his way to the stadium. The cheers of the crowd filled the air as he stepped onto the battlefield. On the other side, Bruno stood, his eyes intense as he locked gazes with Haru.

Bruno spoke first, his voice steady. "Let's see if you can defeat me."

Haru smirked confidently, his gaze sweeping across the rock-themed stadium. "Well, sorry to say, but you're someone I will have zero problem defeating."

The referee's voice boomed across the stadium. "Today's battle is between Ethan Haru Bit Harmonia and Bruno of the Elite Four. This will be a 6-on-6 battle, with only the challenger allowed to switch Pokémon. Let the battle begin!"

Bruno was the first to make his move. He tossed out a Pokéball, and with a flash of light, Machamp emerged, its muscles rippling as it let out a mighty roar. Haru didn't hesitate as he called out his own Pokémon.

"Scizor, it's your turn!" Haru called, and Scizor appeared, its sharp claws gleaming in the sunlight.

The battle had begun, and the two fighters were ready to face off in a test of strength and strategy.

As the battle began, Bruno was quick to act. "Machamp, use Bulk Up! Let's show them our strength!"

Machamp flexed its four powerful arms, its muscles bulging even more as its attack and defense stats increased.

Haru smirked. "Scizor, let's not waste time. Start with Swords Dance!"

Scizor spun in place, sharpening its claws as its attack power rose dramatically. The crowd roared in excitement, sensing the clash of raw power and speed about to unfold.

Bruno wasted no time. "Machamp, use Dynamic Punch!"

Machamp charged forward with a glowing fist, aiming directly for Scizor. Haru remained calm.

"Scizor, dodge it with Agility!"

Scizor moved like a blur, sidestepping the attack with incredible speed. The impact of Machamp's missed punch left a small crater in the ground.

"Now, counter with X-Scissor!" Haru commanded.

Scizor crossed its claws, forming an X-shaped slash, and struck Machamp with devastating force. Machamp staggered backward, clearly hurt, but it wasn't down yet.

Bruno grinned. "Impressive, but we're not done. Machamp, use Knock Off!"

Machamp's arm glowed with dark energy as it swung at Scizor. This time, the hit connected, dealing significant damage and forcing Scizor to slide back across the rocky terrain.

Haru clenched his fist. "We're not letting this go on any longer. Scizor, finish it with Bullet Punch! Full power!"

Scizor dashed forward in an instant, its claws glowing metallic as it unleashed a lightning-fast punch. Machamp couldn't react in time and took the full brunt of the attack. It fell to the ground with a thud, fainting.

The referee raised a flag. "Machamp is unable to battle! Scizor wins!"

The crowd erupted in cheers as Haru nodded confidently. Bruno called back his Machamp, a smirk on his face.

"You're good, but I've only just begun. Let's see how you handle this one," Bruno said as he threw out another Pokéball.

With a burst of light, Hitmonlee emerged, its legs stretching as it prepared for battle.

Haru adjusted his stance. "Scizor, you're staying in. Let's see if we can take down two in a row."

The battle was far from over, and the crowd was on the edge of their seats, eager to see what strategies Haru and Bruno would bring next.

Haru looked at Scizor. "Use Sword Dance and then move chance Agility to Aerial Ace and follow by an X-Scissor".

Everyone can hear a mental click, as they saw Scizor got stronger as it appears behind Hitmonlee and hit it with a Aerial Ace and X-Scissors combo, sending the Pokémon back, as then Hitmonlee got up and tryed to use a Ice Punch.

Haru looked at Garchomp as he spoke. "Use sword dance".

As the crowed saw Garchomp used Sword Dance it was little different, Bruno told Hitmonchan user a bullet punch but Garchomp moved and daudge, it then used another sword dance, Bruno told Hitmonchan user a Bulk Up, as then it went for Close Combat, but Garchomp moved out of the way and Haru told it to use another Sword dance, this went for next 2 minutes.

In the Harmonia family V.I.P the first person to figure it out was Akagi.

Akagi just smirked as she saw what her little brother was doing. "I see, he is doing that".

Violet just narrowed her eyes as she spoke. "He really thought of the best way".

Kitsu smirks as she looked at whe twin. "Hell yeah that is my bro".

Tade-Ai eyes has starts, as on her lap was a shiny Hisuian Zorua, as the Zoruna looks at Garchomp as well. "Big brother is so smart".

On the Stadium Bruno was wondering one things. "What is he doing, why is he only using sword dance". He just sighed as he spoke. "Use Ice Punch".

As then Garchomp got hit by the ice type move, but something was strange it was almost like Garchomp was ntk event effect by the super effective move, but then Garchomp skin started to crack as it then broke like glass as it was almost like it was an illusion everyone's eyes wident as Haru has never sent out his Garchomp but instead it was his Hisuian Zoroark.

Haru just smirked as he spoke. "You maybe be asking but how Zoroark cane leanr sword dance, it can't but it can learn Nasty Plot".

The stadium erupted into gasps and murmurs of astonishment as Haru revealed the truth behind his strategy. Hisuian Zoroark stood there, its spectral presence radiating an aura of cunning and raw power. Haru's smirk widened as he continued explaining.

"You see, Hisuian Zoroark isn't just a master of illusions; it's also a psychological weapon. While you were focused on countering Garchomp, Zoroark was building its power with Nasty Plot. And now..." Haru gestured dramatically, "...you're about to see why this illusion was worth every second."

Bruno's Hitmonchan took a step back, sensing the overwhelming energy radiating from Zoroark. Bruno furrowed his brows. "Impressive trick, but it won't be enough. Hitmonchan, use Close Combat! Take it down before it can act!"

Haru snapped his fingers. "Zoroark, Shadow Sneak."

Before Hitmonchan could move, Zoroark vanished into its own shadow, reappearing behind it in an instant. A dark, ghostly slash struck Hitmonchan, interrupting its charge and forcing it to stagger backward.

"Follow it up with Shadow Ball!" Haru commanded.

Zoroark conjured a pulsating orb of dark energy and hurled it at Hitmonchan, landing a direct hit. The explosion of ghostly energy sent the Fighting-type flying across the battlefield, leaving it unable to stand.

The referee raised his flag. "Hitmonchan is unable to battle! Zoroark wins!"

The crowd roared in excitement, unable to contain their awe at Haru's strategic genius. Back in the Harmonia family V.I.P room, Akagi crossed her arms and nodded approvingly.

"I knew it," she said. "He baited Bruno into focusing on Garchomp while Zoroark prepared to take down multiple Pokémon with its boosted stats."

Tade-Ai clapped her hands excitedly, her Hisuian Zorua wagging its tail in delight. "Big brother is so cool!"

On the battlefield, Bruno returned his Hitmonchan, a smile creeping across his face. "You've truly earned your reputation as a prodigy, Haru. But don't think you've won just yet. Let's see how you handle this!"

He threw out his next Pokéball, and the massive form of Hitmontop appeared, its four arms flexing as it let out a powerful roar.

Haru grinned. "Bring it on. Zoroark, let's keep the pressure on. Use Snarl!"

Haru looked at Bruno Hitmontop. "Zoroark use Hyper Voice, then follow up with a Shadow ball and shadow Sneak, and finished with another Shadow ball".

Haru's commands were swift and precise, and Hisuian Zoroark executed them flawlessly.

"Zoroark, Hyper Voice!" Haru called out.

Zoroark let out a deafening, ghostly roar that rippled through the battlefield. The sound waves crashed into Hitmontop, causing it to stagger as it tried to regain its balance. Bruno's eyes narrowed, seeing the raw power of Zoroark in action.

"Hitmontop, spin to dodge and use Triple Kick! Don't let it dominate the battle!" Bruno commanded.

Hitmontop spun on its head, gracefully maneuvering to avoid the brunt of the sound attack. It launched itself at Zoroark, aiming its powerful kicks directly at the illusion Pokémon.

"Shadow Ball!" Haru countered.

Before Hitmontop could land its strikes, Zoroark fired a pulsating orb of dark energy. The Shadow Ball collided midair with Hitmontop, disrupting its attack and sending it tumbling backward.

"Now, Shadow Sneak!" Haru said with a sharp tone.

Zoroark melted into the shadows, disappearing from view. Hitmontop frantically spun around, searching for its opponent, but it was too late. Zoroark reappeared behind it and struck with a ghostly swipe, sending Hitmontop flying across the battlefield.

Bruno gritted his teeth. "Hitmontop, get up and use Revenge! We're not out yet!"

But Haru was already ahead. "End this with another Shadow Ball!"

Zoroark conjured another dark orb and launched it with pinpoint precision. The attack connected before Hitmontop could recover, enveloping it in a burst of ghostly energy. When the dust settled, Hitmontop was lying on the ground, unable to continue.

The referee raised his flag. "Hitmontop is unable to battle! Zoroark wins again!"

The crowd erupted into cheers, amazed by Haru's seamless strategy and Zoroark's dominance.

Bruno returned Hitmontop to its Pokéball with a contemplative look. "Your strategy is as relentless as your reputation suggests, Haru. But I'm not done yet. Let's see how you handle my next Pokémon."

Bruno threw out his next Pokéball, and a massive Locario emerged, its metallic body gleaming under the stadium lights.

Haru smirked. "A Lucario, huh? Let's see how long you can last. Zoroark, you're doing great. Stay sharp!"

Haru looked at Zoroark. "Hey Zoroark, are you ok with sitting this one our, there is certain friend of ours who wants to fight".

Zoroark gave Haru a thumbs up, as Haru called the Ghost/Normal type back, as then he looked at Bruno. "This Pokémon is my original Starter, a Pokémon I had to work hard to earn it's trust back, a Pokémon I had to remake my bond with, so lest do this".

As Haru smiled at Whitney and pulled out the Pokéball she gave, as Whitney jumped um in the stands in joy, as then Haru sent him out, as the Pokémon flyed passed, Bruno Lucario as in the Middle of the sky Haru mega evolved it as it then landed and the in the stadium in it's four wings majestic glory was Haru Staraptor, who has just Mega evolved.

Bruno then looked at his Lucario. "Lucario are you ready to mega evolve as well".

Haru looked at Bruno. "I see, a battle of the mega or will be them".

Bruno smirked as he looked at his Lucario's. "Let's not keep them waiting." Bruno raised his Key Stone. "Lucario, let's show them our bond! Mega Evolve!"

A brilliant light enveloped Lucario as it transformed into its Mega Evolution, its aura flaring with fiery intensity. The crowd erupted in excitement, sensing the clash of two Mega Evolutions—a battle of not just power but bonds.

Haru grinned, looking at his Mega Staraptor. "This is going to be a good one. Staraptor, let's show them why you're my ace. Start with Tailwind!"

Staraptor spread its majestic four wings, whipping up a powerful current that surged across the battlefield. The speed boost energized it, and Haru's confidence showed as he watched his Pokémon's movements.

Bruno pointed toward Staraptor. "Lucario, close the gap with Extreme Speed!"

Lucario blurred into motion, moving faster than the eye could track. It was a bolt of blue light heading straight for Staraptor.

Haru didn't miss a beat. "Dodge and counter with Close Combat!"

Staraptor narrowly evaded Lucario's strike, pivoting midair before diving at the Aura Pokémon. It unleashed a flurry of powerful strikes with its wings and talons, each blow carrying incredible force. Lucario staggered slightly but recovered quickly.

"Lucario, Aura Sphere—point blank!" Bruno commanded.

Lucario gathered a sphere of pure aura energy in its hands and launched it directly at Staraptor, who was still close from the Close Combat. The attack connected, sending Staraptor skidding back across the battlefield.

Haru winced slightly but kept his composure. "Shake it off, Staraptor! Use Brave Bird!"

Staraptor's wings glowed with a fierce blue energy as it soared into the air. It circled high above the stadium before diving straight at Lucario with immense speed and power, leaving a streak of light behind it.

Bruno's eyes narrowed. "Lucario, counter with Bone Rush!"

Lucario formed an aura bone in its hands and braced itself, spinning the weapon to block the incoming Brave Bird. The impact of the two attacks sent a shockwave across the battlefield, and both Pokémon were pushed back, visibly panting.

Haru clenched his fist. "This is it, Staraptor! Use Hurricane!"

Staraptor flapped its wings furiously, creating a massive whirlwind that engulfed the battlefield. The swirling winds disoriented Lucario, throwing it off balance.

Bruno shouted, "Don't give in! Use Bullet Punch to stabilize yourself and strike through!"

Lucario focused, using its swift punches to push against the whirlwind and make its way toward Staraptor.

But Haru was ready. "End it with Sky Attack!"

Staraptor's body glowed brilliantly as it charged up its most powerful move. It waited for the perfect moment, then shot forward like a meteor, colliding with Lucario in a dazzling explosion of light.

When the dust settled, Lucario was down, unable to continue. The referee raised his hand. "Lucario is unable to battle! Staraptor wins!"

The crowd roared in applause, and Whitney was practically bouncing with excitement in the stands. Haru gave a proud nod to his Mega Staraptor. "You've come a long way, my friend."

Bruno returned Lucario to its Pokéball, a small smile on his face. "You've impressed me, Haru. Your bond with your Pokémon is undeniable. But this battle isn't over yet." He reached for his next Pokéball, ready to continue the fight.

Bruno then sent out his a final Pokémon, it was his Heriyama. "Let's do this buddy".

Haru just looked at Bruno as he spoke. "Wouldn't have been better for the Lucario to be your last Pokémon"

Bruno smirked, cracking his knuckles. "Hah, you'd think so, but Heriyama has been my partner long before Lucario came along. He's my true ace, the one who's been with me through thick and thin. We've won countless battles together." He looked at the massive sumo-like Pokémon. "Now let's show them why."

Haru nodded, understanding the sentiment. "A Pokémon that's been by your side the longest, huh? I get that. But don't think for a second that I'm letting my guard down. Staraptor, you ready to go one more round?"

Staraptor let out a powerful cry, flapping its four wings as it prepared for another clash.

The referee raised his hand. "The battle continues! Heriyama versus Staraptor! Begin!"

Bruno didn't waste any time. "Heriyama, use Fake Out!"

Heriyama clapped its massive hands together with a thunderous smack, creating a shockwave that stunned Staraptor momentarily. The Flying-type staggered slightly, unable to act.

Haru gritted his teeth. "Alright, shake it off, Staraptor! Use Tailwind to regain momentum!"

Staraptor managed to recover and created another strong gust, boosting its speed once more. It soared high into the air, staying out of Heriyama's immediate range.

Bruno pointed at Staraptor. "Heriyama, bring it down with Rock Slide!"

Heriyama slammed the ground with its hands, summoning a barrage of rocks that shot up toward Staraptor.

Haru quickly countered. "Dodge and counter with Close Combat!"

Staraptor weaved through the falling rocks with agility and precision, closing the distance to Heriyama. It unleashed a series of rapid and powerful strikes, landing multiple blows that forced the Fighting-type back.

Bruno smirked, unshaken. "Heriyama, grab it with Arm Thrust!"

Heriyama caught Staraptor mid-strike, using its massive hands to hold the Flying-type in place. With surprising speed, it delivered several powerful thrusts, knocking Staraptor back to the ground.

Haru clenched his fists, but he wasn't done yet. "Staraptor, get up and use Brave Bird! Put everything you've got into this!"

Staraptor struggled to its feet, its determination unwavering. It launched itself into the air, glowing with blue energy, and dove straight at Heriyama with tremendous speed and force.

Bruno raised his voice. "Heriyama, counter it with Force Palm!"

The two attacks collided with incredible force, creating a massive explosion of energy that shook the stadium. When the smoke cleared, both Pokémon were standing, panting heavily and visibly worn out.

Haru grinned. "Staraptor, let's finish this with Sky Attack!"

Bruno shouted his command. "Heriyama, use Heavy Slam! Don't hold back!"

Staraptor ascended into the sky, its body glowing brilliantly as it charged its ultimate move. Heriyama leapt into the air with surprising agility, aiming to crash down with its full weight.

The two Pokémon met mid-air in a blinding clash of light and power. The impact sent shockwaves through the stadium, and when the dust settled, one Pokémon remained standing.

The referee raised his hand. "Heriyama is unable to battle! Staraptor wins! The victor is Ethan Haru Bit Harmonia!"

The crowd erupted into cheers, and Haru let out a sigh of relief, giving a proud nod to his Mega Staraptor. "You're incredible, Staraptor. You've earned this victory."

Bruno returned Heriyama to its Pokéball, a satisfied smile on his face. "You've got the heart of a true champion, Haru. I can't wait to see how you fare against the next challenge. Good luck—you're gonna need it."
