"You just use Psychic to control Kadabra, and you won't understand the bond between Pokémon and humans. As long as the bond between Pokémon and humans is strong enough, even without telepathy, Pokémon can understand their Trainer's inner thoughts!"
Ash spoke with calm determination. Hearing his words, girl frowned slightly, her composure beginning to crack.
"You can't beat me!" she retorted emotionally. A green light shimmered around Kadabra's body as it used Recover again to heal its injuries.
"Quick Attack!" Ash commanded, seizing the opportunity while Kadabra was preoccupied with recovery. Pikachu darted toward Kadabra with incredible speed. However, just as Pikachu closed in, Kadabra raised its head abruptly. The glowing light around its body dissipated, and its injuries appeared fully healed.
"Kadabra!"
The moment Kadabra moved, a shimmering protective barrier materialized in front of it. Pikachu slammed into the shield and was immediately repelled.
"Pika!!"
Quick Attack lacked the power of the earlier Electro Ball, and Kadabra's Reflect was perfectly countering Pikachu's physical strikes. Pikachu was sent flying back, tumbling to the ground.
"How could it recover so quickly?" Misty exclaimed from the sidelines, her voice filled with concern.
"Kadabra used its Psychic power to enhance the speed of Recover," explained a man observing the battle. He watched with growing anxiety, knowing the stakes rested on Ash's victory. "Ash just defeated Sabrina, and now everything depends on him winning again."
"This is bad..." Misty murmured, her worry deepening. While Sabrina relied on her natural Psychic abilities, girl's manipulative control over Kadabra added an unfair advantage, putting Ash in an even tougher spot.
Back on the battlefield, Pikachu had barely landed before Kadabra raised its hand again. Pikachu's body was suddenly enveloped in a blue glow, lifted into the air by Kadabra's Confusion, and slammed into the ground with force.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted as Pikachu struggled to stand. But girl wasn't about to give Pikachu any breathing room. Kadabra raised its spoon, and a Psybeam shot out, cutting through the air. Pikachu tried to dodge but was just a second too slow.
The Psybeam struck Pikachu, creating a loud explosion as it hit the ground. Pikachu was flung through the air by the force and landed hard on the dirt.
"Pikachu!" Ash cried out. Pikachu lay still, struggling to open its eyes. Before it could fully recover, girl made her next move. With a smug grin, she raised her hand, and Kadabra mimicked her motion. Pikachu's body was once again lifted into the air by Confusion.
"Pi-kaaa!!" Pikachu let out a pained cry, its body trembling as if it were being squeezed. girl's expression was one of triumph.
"How does it feel? Your Pikachu is no match for me. Admit defeat!" she declared confidently.
Ash's fists clenched tightly as he watched Pikachu struggle in Kadabra's grasp. Despite the overwhelming force holding it, Pikachu forced its eyes open, staring ahead with unwavering determination.
"Pika... Pikachu!"
Hearing Pikachu's voice, Ash felt a surge of resolve. He tightened his fists so hard they shook.
"No one can make us give up!" he shouted, his voice filled with defiance. "I may lose, but I will never lose to someone who doesn't even understand what it means to be a true Trainer!"
Ash raised his head slightly, his amber eyes suddenly shifting. His pupils transformed, glowing a vibrant red with a faint brilliance. Unlike the psychic glow of girl and Sabrina, which was an external effect of their powers, Ash's transformation seemed to come from deep within. His eyes radiated a mysterious energy as ten strands of red light shot out.
"Go, Pikachu!" Ash commanded, his voice charged with newfound determination.
Clasping his hands tightly, Ash felt an indescribable sensation envelop him. It was as though his consciousness had fully merged with Pikachu's. Before, he had sensed the bond between Trainer and Pokémon, but this was entirely different. He could *feel* Pikachu's pain, its resolve, and its spirit fighting against Kadabra's Confusion. The connection between them had deepened beyond anything he had ever experienced.
Unbeknownst to those watching, a red energy coursed from Ash toward Pikachu. The spectators could only guess what was happening. Even the older man observing the battle felt uneasy.
"What is going on?" he muttered, his gaze locked on Ash. Though he was skilled in Psychic abilities, he couldn't comprehend the change occurring before his eyes. Ash's presence seemed to radiate an overwhelming power.
Then, a thunderous explosion echoed in Ash's mind. His consciousness went blank as he was pulled into a dark, endless space. In this void, he sensed Pikachu's presence beside him, as if the two were one. A bolt of lightning illuminated the darkness, striking from above. The energy seemed to draw them both toward its source, and together they were pulled into the heart of the electric beam, vanishing into the light.
"Pika... Pikaaaa!!!"
Back in the arena, Pikachu's eyes glowed crimson, its voice now hoarse and deep, filled with raw energy. A sudden surge of electricity erupted from its body, breaking through Kadabra's Confusion with a thunderous crack.
"Boom!"
The force of the electricity shattered the psychic shackles holding Pikachu, and golden-orange lightning enveloped its entire body. The energy intensified, forming a sphere of crackling lightning that detonated as it struck the ground. The sheer force of the impact tore through the arena floor, leaving jagged cracks and an awe-inspiring display of Pikachu's power.
The girl's expression shifted from confidence to shock.
"What is this...?" she whispered, staring in disbelief as the transformed Pikachu stood defiantly, its electric energy surging wildly.
The battle had shifted, and Ash and Pikachu's unbreakable bond had awakened a force neither girl nor Kadabra could have anticipated.
