Chapter 29 - The Transfer Student with Blue Eyes
The next day, I accompanied Nana to school while providing full protection.
“Big brother, this is a bit embarrassing…”
With suspicious behavior, I scanned the area for any bad guys, spreading hostility. Nana, feeling both happy and embarrassed, blushed and looked down.
“You never know when Sato’s gang might come back for revenge.”
Kenya stuck close to Nana like a bodyguard, searching for enemies. In the end, no enemies appeared, and they reached the school.
Then, as expected, Sato’s minions came running.
(Here they come. I won’t let them touch Nana even a single finger!)
But contrary to Kenya’s vigilance, they took an unexpected action.
“W-We’re so sorry!!!”
They all slid in front of Nana, performing a full-body bow. Did they practice this? They were incredibly synchronized.
“We were just following Sato’s orders! We’re really sorry!!!”
They apologized with their foreheads almost embedded in the ground. Among them were those who had harmed Nana.
They were apparently trembling in fear, waiting for their turn after Sato was beaten up, and decided to apologize with all their might.
“You guys know what you did, right?”
“We’re truly sorry. We’re really sorry, Nana! Feel free to stomp on us! Please!”
The men bowed their heads in front of Nana. Stop it, it might make Nana seem like she has some weird fetish.
“I-I’ll forgive you this time! Just don’t come near me again.”
“Nana Nee…”
Nana isn’t “Nee.” She’s my sister. Don’t address her like she’s an older sister.
“Is that alright, Nana?”
“Yeah… And seeing this, I just can’t get angry anymore…”
The men kept bowing with their foreheads against the ground, tears flowing.
“Ha… Well, if Nana is okay with it, then it’s fine. So? What about Sato?”
“Well…”
Kenya learned that Sato had been disowned by his parents due to his past misdeeds and that his guild had disbanded. It seems he also quit high school. He definitely can’t stay here anymore.
“I see… I wanted to make him apologize.”
“It’s fine, big brother!”
“Oh, really? Then it’s okay…”
I never expected my relationship with Sato to end like this. But it’s alright; I got to punch him thoroughly in the end.
Kenya then went to the classroom. The classroom without Sato was very quiet and peaceful.
*Rattle rattle rattle*
“Hey, sit down!”
As usual, the teacher entered and had everyone take their seats. Today’s class started as usual. The only difference was that no one would be throwing trash at us anymore.
“Today! We have a new transfer student to introduce! She’s a celebrity! Be happy, boys!”
However, this transfer student would completely change Kenya’s life. Even her fate…
(A transfer student at this time? What a strange timing.)
When Kenya heard the name called by the teacher, he couldn’t believe his ears. And when he saw the girl, he couldn’t believe his eyes.
With beautiful blonde hair that reached her waist and long limbs that were unlike any Japanese person’s, she wore a sailor uniform with grace and sparkled with blue eyes.
Though her expression was emotionless and she looked like a doll, she still retained a hint of Japanese features. Her name was…
“I’m Reina Aoi. Nice to meet you.”
Because she was the ‘Hero’ I admired.
“Woooooow!!!!”
“Kyaaaaahhh!!!!”
Both boys and girls stood up in excitement. She was an immensely famous person. After all, she was a girl who had achieved a profession loved by Japanese people.
Additionally, in her modeling activities, you could see her in various places around the city. Her beautiful proportions and a face with an extremely high attractiveness score.
She was featured in commercials for knight’s gauntlets, king’s gauntlets, and various other equipment. It felt like she was in about 60% of all equipment commercials. She was that famous. Yet, few had seen her smile.
Her expression was always emotionless, and her icy blue eyes gave an illusion that one could be drawn in just by looking at them.
“Oh! And Sato has dropped out of school.”
Sato was casually mentioned. Was the teacher also annoyed with him? From everyone’s reaction, it seemed like nobody liked him.
The girl who sat in Sato’s now-empty seat. The classroom buzzed with excitement, still full of energy.
(Did Sato’s guild disband because of this?)
She had originally been part of Sato’s guild. Kenya wondered if there were any particular circumstances and stared at the girl.
(I should try talking to her later…)
However, that day, it never happened. Because everyone in the school was approaching her to talk.
(W-Well, I guess there will be opportunities in the future…)
Kenya left the classroom, escaping from the crowd. That day, he went home. Nana said she would go home with her friends, so she didn’t need protection.
Well, it should be fine now; those guys won’t attack Nana anymore.
“Alright! Let’s go today too! I’m close to evolving!”
Kenya then headed towards the dungeon, carrying new equipment, and with the power that surpassed Sato.
