Chapter 30 - The Boy Who Surpassed the King
“Well then, Ai, I’m off!”
“Okay, have a good day!”
Having completed the application, I descended into the dungeon once again today.
Yesterday was hectic because of Sato, but in reality, my equipment had evolved through repeated level-ups.
Thanks to that, I surpassed Sato’s King series equipment.
“Status!”

This is my current status.
The equipment has been significantly changed.
The katana has evolved into the Slash Breaker, increasing attack power by +1000.
The King series has transformed into the Emperor series, providing a 400-point boost.
Both are now Rank B equipment.
I had a faint feeling, but it turned out to be true. The series above the King is indeed the Emperor.
This series, despite being called a series, is something I have never seen sold.
At this level, it seems that ordinary people cannot buy it; it is monopolized by nations or military forces, essentially as weapons.
Equipment that appears in the latter half of the 30th floor.
In other words, it is equipment only seen by adventurers close to Platinum rank among Gold rank adventurers.
A 400-point status increase easily surpasses Sato’s King series equipment, allowing Kenya to reach the 30th floor solo.
But right now, I’m circling floors 1 through 10.
Why? Because…
“Phew, that’s 10 times, I’m used to it now. Still, it looks creepy no matter how many times I see it.”
Kenya cut down the Goblin General effortlessly and opened a bronze treasure chest, retrieving a Goblin Necklace.
This equipment boosts Dungeon Point acquisition by 1.1 times.
In fact, the DP required for the next skill upgrade is a staggering 1,000,000 DP.
I wonder how many years it would take to earn that amount through circling.
So, Kenya had a bright idea and decided to evolve the necklace.
His plan succeeded, and the Goblin Necklace evolved into the Goblin General’s Necklace.
“Alright, let’s perform alchemy here.”

“Alright, done!”
When the completed necklace was viewed, its description appeared.

“Alright, now…”
Next, Kenya performed alchemy on two Goblin General’s Necklaces.
Level Up♪ Goblin General’s Necklace Lv 9
“Shall I call it a day and head home?”
The Goblin General’s Necklace provides a triple DP acquisition rate.
It’s an extraordinary performance, but since no one seems to have seen or heard of it, no one probably owns it.
Moreover, it seems that further evolution is possible.
So, I plan to collect 100 of these creepy necklaces and further evolve the Goblin General’s Necklace.
The reason I mentioned further evolution is that there are some items that can no longer evolve.
The Emperor series is one such item.
When trying to perform alchemy, an announcement played: “This equipment cannot evolve any further, please be cautious.”
It seems that leveling up is still possible.
I realized something.
The Spirit’s Crown still seems to be capable of further evolution.
The difference between the two is the rarity.
The Emperor series is Rank B but with ★ one rarity.
The Spirit’s Crown is Rank B but with ★ two rarities.
This rarity probably indicates how far the equipment can evolve.
Though it’s a guess due to the limited sample size, if my guess is correct, ★ one might be the highest for Rank B, and additional stars could mean higher ranks.
(Well, it’s just speculation…)
Kenya then left the dungeon and returned to his small home.
(I’ll probably evolve it by tomorrow. But there are so many things I need to do, so it’s busy.)
Kenya had a lot to do: guild establishment, delivery preparations, dungeon exploration. He returned home exhausted as usual.
At home, the noisy two were waiting.
“I’m home!”
Opening the door and entering the house, he took off his shoes and awaited the usual greeting.
Nana usually comes running with “Welcome back, big brother,” or Misuzu teases with “Welcome back, darling. Want a bath? Me? Or perhaps some mo-yashi?” But today, there was no such sound.
Instead, what he heard was…
“Welcome back, Kenya.”
A flat, emotionless voice that he wasn’t used to hearing reached him. But it was definitely a clear, familiar voice.
As Kenya took off his shoes and looked up, he locked eyes with the voice’s owner, and his mouth fell open.
Because those eyes were a beautifully captivating blue.
