Chapter 63: Chapter 63: The Battle Where Everyone Puts Their All into the Fight
The beast herd charged forward, their blades and fists shining cold with sharp edges, forcing Noriyuki and Eirin to take the situation seriously.
"Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!"
Dozens of sword energies rushed at them in an instant. Feeling the sharp onslaught, the two were shaken to the core and had no choice but to dodge to the side, exchanging a glance that reflected their serious expressions.
Whether it was the tiger pack or the monkey pack, the larger beasts were obviously stronger. The weapons they wielded alone showed their immense power. To gain the upper hand in battle, the larger, more formidable ones had to be dealt with first.
"Fishman Karate: Flying Flower Sword Rain!"
Noriyuki struck a unique stance, and droplets of water gathered in his palm, growing larger and larger. Once they reached their maximum size, he launched them with all his might. In an instant, countless droplets shot out like bullets, attacking the advancing beasts.
"Roar! Roar! Squeak!"
The powerful assault immediately brought down the beasts in the front, the terrifying penetrating force of the attack piercing through their bodies. Blood flowed out, and in the blink of an eye, several beasts were defeated.
On the other side, Eirin also began shooting, each bullet landing on the limbs of the attacking beasts. Their ability to fight was severely crippled as intense pain shot straight to their brains. Facing Noriyuki and Eirin's relentless attacks, the beast herd no longer attacked blindly. Instead, they started retreating to drag their injured comrades away, and the stronger ones stepped forward, glaring menacingly at the two.
The echoes of tiger roars rang out, one after another, closing in as the beasts surrounded the two. The sharp fangs gleamed as the pack launched another fierce assault, aiming to wear the two out in a battle of attrition.
Every time, five or six beasts attacked simultaneously, bombarding the two without pause, trying to exhaust them completely.
"Pant... pant...Noriyuki , what do we do? If this keeps up, we're done for!" Eirin gasped. As a sniper, he wasn't good at close combat, and now, he found himself forced into it, with no time to rest.
"I don't know. These guys are incredibly smart. They even seem to be strategizing," Noriyuki said, his eyes flashing as he scanned for an opening, though he had yet to find one.
Not far away, perched high in the trees, Kumo sat with his legs crossed, calmly watching the battle unfold below. Occasionally, he would take a bite of cotton candy, a content smile on his face. His eyes never left the two, ready to intervene if something unexpected happened. This trial wasn't just about individual strength—it was also about teamwork.
"Haha! You guys are pretty good! I acknowledge you!" Enel laughed heartily, ignoring the wounds on his face. His eyes sparkled with lightning, and his aura suddenly exploded. A storm of lightning seemed to pour out recklessly, tearing through the sky above the island.
"Roar! Roar! This guy's strong!" the beasts exclaimed.
"Squeak! Squeak! Squeak!" Full of resolve, they prepared to follow their master out to sea.
"Uh-huh!" they agreed.
After a brief exchange, Little White and Little Gold turned their determined gazes toward Enel, their resolve unwavering.
Little Gold tightened his grip on his great sword, closed his eyes in concentration, and reflected on his training. Moments later, he opened his eyes wide, and a domineering aura erupted from him. Enel, watching from a distance, saw not a monkey but a long, sharp blade. He was taken aback—was he hallucinating?
Enel raised his hand, lightning crackling, preparing to launch an attack on Little Gold to prevent any further surprises.
"Roar!"
Before Enel could strike, his raised arm was interrupted by the roar of a tiger. Turning his head, he saw a familiar scene—Little White was mimicking Natsu's fighting stance. The Eight Trigrams of Tai Chi appeared beneath his feet, and an extraordinary aura emanated from his body.
"Sixty Million Volts—Thunder Wolf Charge!"
Enel snapped back to attention, lightly tapping a drum behind him. Two massive wolves made of lightning sprang out, rushing toward Little White and Little Gold with terrifying energy that crackled through the air, making the surrounding space sizzle with electricity. Even before the wolves reached their targets, the fur on Little White and Little Gold stood on end.
"Swish! Swish!"
Little Gold showed no fear at the sight of the charging lightning wolves. Gripping his sword, he slashed fiercely, cutting the wolves in half. The sword energy sliced through the air, splitting the wolves into dozens of pieces, dispersing them into nothingness.
Little White, not to be outdone, took the exact stance as Natsu, and with his muscles erupting, he threw a powerful punch. The air crackled as his fist unleashed a powerful gust, shattering the lightning wolf instantly. Without missing a beat, the punch continued its path and shot toward Enel, aiming to leave a mark.
The gust from his punch ruffled Enel's clothing, and a bloodstain appeared on his skin from the near miss.
Little White and Little Gold pressed forward, unleashing their attacks in a blur—an exquisite dance of the Lone Sword and Dragon Subduing Fist, their movements too fast to track with the naked eye. The clash of blades and fists filled the air in an endless stream.
"Not bad, looks like you've made great progress over the past year!" Natsu had long since arrived, watching the fight between Enel, Little White, and Little Gold. He couldn't help but smile with satisfaction. Their improvement was fast, and if they were placed in the outside world, they would have some renown for their strength.
"Ha... these two beasts really are something. Aren't they tired?" Enel, after blocking another attack, withdrew a short distance. He was beginning to feel the toll of the high-intensity battle on his body.
"Thunderclap! Heaven's Roar!"
Enel, realizing he couldn't afford to keep wasting energy, knew that relying on pure martial arts wasn't giving him much of an edge. His Observation Haki was no longer the invincible secret technique it once was.
Dark clouds began to gather in the sky, and the space around them dimmed considerably. The wind howled through the forest, and a massive ball of thunderous energy began to coalesce in the sky. It expanded at an astonishing rate, soon covering a ten-mile radius. With a swing of Enel's arm, the massive thunderball descended from the heavens.
"Boom!"
The thunderclap erupted as the thunderball fell swiftly, engulfing Little White and Little Gold in its wake. A deafening explosion followed, the ground split apart, and everything around them was obliterated. What was once a lush forest now lay in ruins, consumed by fire.
"Roar..."
"Squeak... cough cough..."
After the lightning strike, Little White and Little Gold were blasted into the ground. Their enormous bodies landed in a massive crater, and they struggled to open their eyes. Slowly, they managed to sit up, looking at each other's dirty fur, their expressions grim. They tried to stand, but found themselves unable.
"This is the end! Everyone!" Natsu's voice rang out as he walked toward the battle, sensing that the outcome was decided.
"Roar!" Little White exclaimed, his eyes brightening as he heard his master's familiar voice.
"Squeak!" Little Gold joined in, their faces lighting up with joy, finally understanding that their master had returned.
