One Piece: Rising to Power as a Warlord of the Sea

"Roar, roar, roar!"

"Chirp, chirp, chirp!"

As Natsu got closer, Shiro and Kene struggled to stand up. They didn't want Natsu to see their weakness, as they still remembered Natsu's promise from before: they would only be allowed to join the crew if they passed the test, which would come at the right moment. Both beasts were excited and worried, their eyes fixed on Natsu, filled with longing and anticipation.

"Well done, looks like you've both worked hard this year!"

When Natsu reached the two beasts, he reached out and patted their fluffy heads, rubbing them with force. Seeing the joy on their faces made him smile happily.

"Roar!"

"Chirp!"

Hearing the praise, Shiro and Kene felt thrilled, their faces beaming with joy as they turned their heads to glance at the area behind Natsu, looking for something.

"Kumo will be here soon!" Natsu said, understanding their thoughts.

Ten kilometers away, Kumo, seeing the exhausted figures of the two humans below, leaped into the air. His round, chubby body made a free fall, crashing into the ground with a massive thud, sending dust flying. The beast pack instinctively took a step back, watching the massive hole formed by Kumo's landing, alert to the strong, dangerous presence that had just arrived.

"Roar!"

The roar of the beasts rang out, as they got into battle stances, ready to face the upcoming challenge.

"Kumo, you're here! I can't go on anymore!" Eirin, seeing the black and white figures in front of him, smiled in relief, his body collapsing to the ground from exhaustion. He had never fought so desperately before.

"Phew, phew, phew~"

Noriyuki, also feeling completely drained, wiped the blood off his wounds and sat on the ground, watching the beast pack warily. He was on alert to avoid any surprise attacks, as he had been caught off guard earlier during the fight with the beasts, who attacked with organized, premeditated precision, forcing him and Eirin into a passive defensive position.

"Roar~"

Kumo, seeing the hundreds of beasts before him, couldn't help but smile with satisfaction. He was pleased to see that his little brothers had trained such capable beasts, each one strong enough to be considered an elite member of the Navy.

Still, Kumo knew that he had to establish his authority. He cleared his throat and took a deep breath. Then, with a roar that shook the earth, the terrifying sound caused the beasts in the front line to tremble in fear. In an instant, they felt as though they were facing a massive, domineering creature, one whose presence alone made them instinctively want to submit.

Such overwhelming power was beyond even their own king.

"Roar, woo-hoo!" Why does this beast look so familiar?

"Chirp, chirp!" I think I know!

"Roar, roar, roar!" I know! This is the Big Boss's Big Boss!

"Chirp, chirp, chirp!" Oh, I remember now! No wonder he's so handsome, majestic, and cool! Simply amazing!

Hearing his minions talking about him in such a way made Kumo blush with embarrassment. He stomped his foot, trying to regain some dignity, and barked orders.

"Roar~ Take me to your leader!"

"Woo-hoo!" Understood, Big Boss!

To Noriyuki and Eirin's shock, the once fierce beasts that had been battling only moments ago were now leading the way with obvious deference, walking carefully as if they were afraid to anger Kumo.

Half an hour later, the beast pack arrived at the wooden hut, where they formed a circle, sitting quietly like students in class, their wide eyes watching the humans and beasts in the center.

"Roar, roar!" Big Boss, you're back!

"Chirp!" We missed you, Big Boss!

"Roar, roar, roar!" Shiro, Kene, it's been so long! You've gotten stronger!

Kumo, seeing Shiro, who was now much larger than him, grinned with joy. He examined the two beasts carefully, feeling the immense power flowing through them. His smile grew even wider, proud of how much they had improved.

"Big Boss, Big Boss! ⸜(๑'ᵕ'๑)⸝⋆*"

Suddenly remembering something, Kumo dashed toward Natsu, holding out his hands, his face full of eagerness.

"What's going on?" Natsu was confused by Kumo's strange behavior.

"Hehe, of course, the special pill! The one that lets beasts talk!"

"Oh, right! I almost forgot!"

Natsu slapped his forehead, then reached into his pocket, pulling out a small bottle and handing it to Kumo.

As everyone watched curiously, Shiro and Kene took the pill and swallowed it.

"Master, master." *2

After a moment of silence, Shiro and Kene suddenly rubbed their throats, and awkwardly, they managed to speak.

"Kumo Kumo, Big Boss!" *2

Hearing themselves speak, the two beasts were overjoyed, continuing to practice saying words excitedly.

"Wow, they're speaking!" Eirin couldn't believe his eyes. The beasts were actually talking! Could it be?

Eirin turned his gaze to Natsu, even more shocked. What other surprises did their captain have in store for them? A simple pill made these beasts speak? Who would believe it? It wasn't like they ate a Devil Fruit!

"Stop making a big deal out of it!" Kumo said nonchalantly. "Eirin has been with me for so long, yet he still doesn't understand? It's just talking. Ugh, such a small thing."

"Not bad, not bad! I've been watching you two, and this time, I came back for an inspection!"

Upon hearing Natsu's words, Shiro and Kene straightened up, stopping their excited chatter. They looked at Natsu nervously.

"Inspection passed! Shiro, Kene, from today onward, you are official members of the Smile Pirates. Clean up and head to our territory!"

"Roar!"

"Chirp!"

Excitedly, the two beasts switched back to their animal language and celebrated. Their hard work over the past year had paid off, and they were finally accepted into the crew. Overjoyed, they embraced each other, hopping around and joyfully running circles around the wooden hut.

"Now, the Three Beast Musketeers can sail the seas together!" Kumo was also happy, as his little brothers had returned. If Enel still didn't acknowledge his vice-captain position, they would take him on together!

At that moment, Enel, eating an apple, suddenly felt a strange sense of hostility. His alertness shot up as he scanned the area, but saw no enemies.

"Am I imagining things?" Enel muttered to himself, scratching his head in confusion.

Enel never expected that Kumo, who held grudges, had been waiting for an opportunity to take a swing at him.

It seemed that life in the Smile Pirates was about to get a lot more lively.

After eating and resting for a while on the island, Shiro and Kene's subordinates boarded Jack's pirate ship. The group of humans and beasts set off, heading toward the Sea of Chaos.

Natsu thought to himself, if they trained well, these beasts might become incredibly strong. Just imagine a crew with sword-wielding monkeys with Conqueror's Haki and tiger-like beasts unleashing powerful Haki punches—a real highlight.

This was the true Beast Pirate Crew! ❛‿˂̵✧
