One Piece: Rising to Power as a Warlord of the Sea

Chapter 60: Chapter 60: Seizing the Weapons, Jack’s Shattered Tusks

"Looking to die?"

Jack's rage boiled over. His rugged face twisted as veins bulged across his forehead. A new Shichibukai, barely worth his attention, dared to disrespect him? It was unthinkable. Even Doflamingo, a veteran Shichibukai, showed deference to Kaido, Jack's captain. Who did this young upstart think he was?

With a growl, Jack drew his Crescent Ivory Saber. He leaped toward the Smile, intent on smashing Natsu and his ship to smithereens in one fell swoop.

"Boom!"

A blackened fist suddenly rocketed toward Jack. Instinctively, he dodged, raising his blade to block. The fist, coated in Armament Haki, struck with overwhelming force, but Jack's saber barely withstood the blow. The counterforce launched Jack back through the air, slamming him into his own ship's deck with a resounding crash, leaving a human-shaped crater.

"Captain Jack!"

The Beasts Pirates cried out in unison, stunned. Their indomitable captain—defeated in raw power?

"Punk, you've made me mad!"

Jack emerged from the wreckage, brushing the knot on his forehead. Though not severely injured, his pride was wounded.

"So what?"

Natsu shrugged. Though Jack was one of the Beasts Pirates' three Calamities, his strength didn't impress Natsu. Beyond his resilience, Jack lacked versatility.

"Cyclone Slash!"

Jack spun his scythe with blistering speed, becoming a whirlwind of deadly steel. Countless sword slashes spiraled outward, slicing through the air toward Natsu in an unpredictable storm.

"Armament Haki!"

"Exchange Technique: Black Glaze!"

A Taiji symbol materialized beneath Natsu's feet, spinning in perfect harmony. His arms darkened, transforming into a sleek, obsidian hue—harder than any steel.

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

Every slash that met Natsu's defense shattered harmlessly. Calmly, he swept aside Jack's onslaught, as if swatting away flies.

"Serious Punch Series: Cross Impact Fist!"

Rolling his shoulders, Natsu smirked. He clenched his fist, focusing immense power. Jack felt a surge of impending doom. His beastly eyes widened in terror as Natsu's glowing fist loomed closer. He tried to retreat, but it was too late.

"Boom!"

The punch connected squarely with Jack's head. This wasn't the mild strike from before. The sheer force ruptured the air, leaving the surroundings in eerie silence. A cross-shaped shockwave exploded outward, tearing through everything in its path.

"ARGHHHH!"

Jack roared in agony. Blood streamed down his battered face. His left eye was swollen shut, and his primal instincts kicked in. Desperate to stabilize himself, Jack transformed into his mammoth form. But it was futile.

"Let's sink together!"

Using his immense bulk, Jack charged recklessly, aiming to bring Natsu down with him.

"What a brute," Natsu scoffed. "But you've made a critical mistake."

With a powerful leap, Natsu intercepted Jack's charge. He seized one of Jack's enormous tusks, channeling his full strength.

"Crack!"

A deafening snap echoed as Jack's tusk shattered. The Beasts Pirates stared in horror, their mouths agape.

"The tusk… it broke?"

Natsu nonchalantly examined the colossal ivory piece in his hands. "Nice tusk. Wonder how much this will fetch?"

"My tusk!" Jack's mammoth eyes filled with rage and pain. His fury boiled over, but Natsu's mocking gaze broke him further.

"Give it back, you brat!"

"Nope."

"You'll regret this! The wrath of the Beasts Pirates will be upon you!"

"I'm stronger than you," Natsu replied coldly.

"If Lord Kaido hears of this, he'll crush you!"

"I'm stronger than you," Natsu repeated.

Jack's fury reached its limit. Blood surged, and he spat a mouthful of it before collapsing, his mammoth form reverting to human. His spirit, once fierce, now flickered weakly.

"Captain Jack… maybe we should retreat?" one pirate whispered timidly, trying to help Jack stand.

"Get lost!" Jack bellowed, flinging the crewman into the sea. "Retreat? Never!"

"Fire the cannons! Sink them all!"

"Fools," Natsu muttered, shaking his head. He vanished in a blur, reappearing before Jack. With another devastating punch, Jack's massive frame crumpled like paper. The impact launched him hundreds of meters into the sea.

From the water, Jack's enraged voice echoed faintly, "You'll pay for this, brat! Kaido will kill you!"

"Pathetic," Natsu muttered. His gaze swept over the remaining Beasts Pirates.

"Jump or I'll help you."

"( ・∀・( ・∀・)ノ!"

Without hesitation, the pirates leapt overboard, their heads bobbing nervously above the waves.

"Pull me up, you fools!" Jack roared from beneath the surface.

Meanwhile, from below deck, Eirin called out, "Natsu, the ship's loaded with weapons!"

Summer's eyes gleamed. "Perfect. Load them up. We'll put them to good use."

Thus, the Smile continued its journey, towing Jack's larger ship behind. Their newfound arsenal would prove invaluable, and their reputation ensured smooth sailing ahead. Even pirates feared the sight of Jack's shattered ivory emblem, a stark warning of the power they faced.

In these waters, the Yonko (Four Emperors) are considered untouchable, their reputations terrifying. The weak, without sufficient power, can only steer clear. Jack's notorious title as the "Drought" is feared for his cruelty, bloodthirstiness, and volatile temper. A single misstep could easily result in death.
