One Piece: Rising to Power as a Warlord of the Sea

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Encounter with the "Ship-Crashing King" Jack the Drought

"Hahaha! Sengoku, no need to worry. I know my grandson well! Natsu isn't the type to get cocky and challenge a Yonko just because of some newfound strength," Garp declared, lounging comfortably as he munched on Sengoku's rice crackers and sipped tea.

"You? Know your grandson? Don't make me laugh, Garp! If you truly understood him, he wouldn't have become a pirate in the first place!"

Sengoku's irritation only grew. If Garp had done his job in guiding Natsu's moral compass, he wouldn't have turned into some scoundrel of the seas. How could one year at sea lead to such chaos? That whole family was nothing but trouble!

"Hmph! Fine! Don't eat, then!"

"Crunch, crunch! Oh look, it's all gone!"

Without hesitation, Sengoku lunged forward and snatched the rice crackers from Garp, tossing them into his mouth with the precision of a seasoned veteran. He even went so far as to tip the empty bag upside down in front of Garp, showing that not a single crumb remained.

"Ah! Sengoku! My snacks!"

"They're mine!"

The two legendary figures began bickering like schoolchildren, escalating into a full-blown scuffle over the snacks. Nearby marines looked on, shaking their heads. Who would believe that these two were legendary figures, known worldwide? But, alas, they were all too used to this kind of scene.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the New World...

The endless expanse of the ocean stretched in all directions. Having bid farewell to Red-Haired Shanks, Natsu set sail once more. His destination? A fierce, beast-ridden island that he and his crew once called home during their rigorous training.

"It's been a year. I wonder if the animals there have multiplied?" Natsu mused as he stared out at the horizon. Back then, his rigorous training demanded so much energy that the local wildlife fled at the mere sight of him and his companions.

The creatures that survived either weren't worth eating or tasted so vile that even Natsu's voracious appetite wouldn't touch them.

Surviving beasts: You know how I made it? By tasting awful! Roar!

"I'm so excited, Captain! It's been ages since we last saw Kene and Shiro. I hope they've grown strong enough to join us on our journey this time!" Kumo exclaimed, visibly thrilled. Although he had enjoyed his time with Smile Pirates crew, but there were certain things only fellow beasts could understand.

Not far from the Smile Pirates' ship, a massive vessel was closing in.

The ship bore red sails emblazoned with a skull flanked by mammoth tusks, its figurehead carved into the likeness of a fearsome mammoth. Onboard stood a colossal man, his golden hair tied into a ponytail and two braids. His face was partially obscured by a metal jawpiece, and his shoulders were adorned with tusk-like ornaments.

This was none other than Jack the Drought, one of the Three Disasters of the Beasts Pirates, an ancient Zoan-type Devil Fruit user with the powers of the Mammoth.

"Captain Jack, there's a pirate ship ahead!" a subordinate reported nervously.

Jack's men knew well to tread carefully around him. His monstrous strength and foul temper were the stuff of nightmares.

"Good. Let's board them. I'm in the mood to pillage. This trip's been far too boring," Jack grunted, his deep, resonant voice striking fear into his crew.

"As you command, Captain! Forward!"

The crew grinned wickedly, relishing the thought of yet another raid. They were confident that whoever lay ahead wouldn't stand a chance against the might of Jack the Drought.

"Captain Natsu, there's a pirate ship approaching fast!" Eirin called down from the crow's nest, peering through his new Barrett sniper rifle.

"Can you make out their flag?" Natsu asked, narrowing his eyes.

"It's...a mammoth."

"A mammoth, huh?" Natsu smirked, his dark eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Looks like trouble. It seems we're about to cross paths with one of the top dogs of the New World."

"It's likely Jack the Drought, one of the Beasts Pirates' commanders," Noriyuki remarked, pulling out a bounty poster. "We could retreat. They're not the kind to hold back."

"No need," Natsu replied coolly. "We fight. The Smile Pirates fear no one—not even the Yonko."

"A fight? Heh, sounds like fun!" Enel grinned, sparks crackling around him. "I'm fully charged and ready to fry some fools!"

As the ships closed the distance, Natsu caught sight of Jack, who glared back with murderous intent.

"Captain Jack, I recognize that ship—it's the newest Warlord of the Sea, Monkey D. Natsu!" one of Jack's men reported, trembling as he presented a bounty poster. "They say he's as strong as a Marine Admiral!"

"Warlord or not, I couldn't care less," Jack snarled. "Get out of my way, brat! I've got places to be."

"And you can't just steer around us? The sea's plenty wide, you know," Kumo retorted, crossing his arms in defiance.

"You've got guts, talking to me like that," Jack growled, his face darkening. Gripping his twin scimitars, he exuded an overwhelming killing intent.

Natsu's grip tightened on his sword. "If it's a fight you want, Jack, it's a fight you'll get."
