Even with the surge in pirate numbers caused by Roger's last words, Conqueror's Haki was still exceptionally rare. Whether in the relatively weak Four Seas or the powerhouse-packed New World, Conqueror's Haki was more like a legend. Most people had only heard of it but never actually witnessed it.

He had recently taken down two Zoan users who had awakened their powers, a feat that benefited the Beasts Pirates immensely. Not only that, but he had managed to hold his own against one of the Navy's three monsters: Kuzan, the Logia user known as Aokiji.

And not long ago, Jack had also fought Shanks in a fierce battle. Though Jack had been seriously injured, it was Shanks who retreated first. And as for Jack's injuries? They healed completely in less than a month. His inhuman resilience was just like Kaido's.

Both Kuzan and Shanks were much older than Jack. Given another decade, it was hard to imagine where Jack would stand. Would he reach Kaido's level—or even surpass him?

Finally, after two months, Onigashima appeared in the distance through Jack's spyglass.

Ah, the familiar island! The familiar snowflakes! And the familiar face!

"Maria! You've grown!"

As the Mammoth docked at Onigashima's sole harbor, the Fish-Men crew eagerly looked toward the island. Jack stepped off, his feet crunching against the snow as a chill filled the air. A group of Fish-Men chattered excitedly about the wintery landscape. Even Master looked intrigued. Rim, Page One, and Ulti exchanged puzzled glances.

"Oh, are you wondering why it's winter here when it was just autumn moments ago?" Rim cleared his throat and pointed into the distance.

"That's because Onigashima is a unique island. It experiences all four seasons at once. The harbor is always winter, while our main living area is perpetually spring."

"Whoa! That's incredible!"

The explanation left everyone stunned, and they immediately launched into a heated discussion. Jack ignored the chatter, striding forward to where Black Maria stood with a warm smile.

But before he could get far, a clueless lackey stepped in his path.

"Welcome back, Jack-sama—"

"Move."

"Yes, sir!"

With the pest out of the way, Jack wrapped Black Maria in a tight hug. Closing his eyes, he inhaled deeply, savoring her scent.

"Maria! I'm back!"

"Maria, you've grown so much!"

"If you keep jiggling those assets of yours, I swear I'll cut them off!"

"And let me go already! I can't breathe!"

"Hey! Don't drip venom on me!"

"Where are you dripping it?!"

After their playful scuffle, Jack finally remembered Yamato.

"Where's Yamato? Where did she go? How tall is she now?"

At his question, Black Maria gave him a mischievous look.

"Well, well, our dear All-Star 'Drought' Jack is so eager to see his little princess."

"Haha, it's not like that! You're both important to me!" Jack scrambled to appease her. "She's the little princess, you're the big princess! Both of you are princesses—you're just...bigger!"

"Hmph!" Maria scoffed.

"Anyway, we had a little too much to drink last night. Yamato's still asleep. As for how tall she's gotten, why don't you go see for yourself? Just don't be too shocked."

"Wow, what a sweet little sister you have!" Maria exclaimed before running toward Ulti with a sparkle in her eye.

Wait, since when was she so affectionate? Jack thought.

And what did Maria mean by shocked? Had Yamato suddenly hit a growth spurt? Was she taller than him now?

The thought sent a thrill of anticipation through Jack. Without hesitation, he sprinted toward the main hall.

"Yamato!!"
