Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Seizing the Hobby-Hobby Fruit

"Truly a terrifying ability..." Sengoku remarked gravely.

"This is also one of the spoils from killing Vergo... That bastard had already gathered information on the Hobby-Hobby Fruit, but due to an unexpected exploration order, he didn't have time to report it to Doflamingo... After executing him, I obtained the documents he hadn't yet sent out," Wright explained, his head lowered. The information about the Hobby-Hobby Fruit was accurate, but how he came by it... Well, the scapegoat, the Dead No Evidence Vergo, was naturally the source of the intel!

"I see... So, the fruit will appear in the North Blue soon?" Rosinante asked. As the first Red Heart under Corazon, Vergo was well-versed in gathering intelligence, so hearing about the Hobby-Hobby Fruit wasn't surprising.

"The information says so... Though Doflamingo hasn't yet obtained the details, a Devil Fruit, even without knowing its specific abilities, is definitely something the weakened Donquixote family will covet," Wright said slowly. "This was the real intention behind my telling Senor about the Hobby-Hobby Fruit — I told him the ability is real, but not the whole truth."

"If we can successfully prevent Doflamingo from acquiring the Hobby-Hobby Fruit, it would be like preventing a catastrophe on the scale of a nation's destruction... A deed of great merit!"

Sengoku nodded in approval. "Well done, Wright. Being able to use the information you've gained effectively, creating opportunities in critical situations to avert major tragedies... Even I couldn't have done it better."

"Hehehe, old Sengoku, with you praising me like that... I'll get a little proud, you know? Hahaha..."

"..."

Sengoku and Rosinante exchanged glances and sighed helplessly — this brat was good at everything except having a serious attitude.

...

In the year 1512 of the Sea Circle Calendar, the year of the World Conference, the Navy was tasked with guarding the kings of the member nations. As such, preparations had been underway in Marineford since the start of the year — not just for guarding, but also for organizing forces to capture the endless waves of pirates to prevent any disruption to the World Conference.

Vice Admiral Tsuru had returned to Marineford from the North Blue, bringing with her a completely refreshed Russian — who had surprisingly become a Third-Class Marine under Tsuru's command!

"Senor must be having a headache hearing about this... He's a pirate himself, but his wife became a Marine, hahaha..." Wright greeted Russian, and as her life-saving benefactor, Russian had made sure to learn a lot about Wright's deeds. Like many of the female soldiers under Vice Admiral Tsuru, she became a staunch fan of Wright.

Because Wright had informed Vice Admiral Tsuru about Senor's situation beforehand, Russian had been properly arranged and taken care of. She had completely come to believe her husband was a Navy spy — and she had played a significant role in the recent military actions against the Donquixote family.

"I will keep the secret, not only for Pink, but also to fight against pirates!" Russian smiled and said to Wright, who nodded in approval, feeling quite satisfied. "You won't be disappointed."

If that guy provides the information Wright needs, he himself wouldn't even know what kind of impact he'd have on the world.

Beep—beep—beep!

The transponder snail rang. Looking at the transponder snail, which mimicked the image of a strange old man wearing a baby's hat, Wright couldn't help but twitch his mouth. "Talk about the devil... as soon as we mention him, he's here..."

...

In the North Blue, on an unknown island.

The Donquixote family had significantly weakened after being handled by Vice Admiral Tsuru. Vergo had once acquired Rosinante's documents, which he evaluated as, "If the Navy gets these documents, our family is done for."

However, the documents had been destroyed. Aside from their primary target, Dressrosa, Rosinante, who had narrowly escaped death, had only managed to recover about 80% of the content from memory. The remaining 20% had largely allowed the Donquixote family to avoid disaster.

Having survived, the Donquixote family finally sighed in relief when they learned Vice Admiral Tsuru had to leave the North Blue to return to Marine Headquarters for World Conference preparations. Doflamingo feared no one but Tsuru.

Thus, to regain their lost strength and power, the Donquixote family was paying extra attention to information about Devil Fruits.

And it was at this moment that the Hobby-Hobby Fruit appeared on this island.

The Donquixote family had built a long-standing influence in the North Blue, and even a small pirate crew that had obtained the Hobby-Hobby Fruit didn't dare to resist, despite knowing their days were numbered — their peripheral forces were hit, but their core officers remained untouched!

This small pirate crew had stationed themselves on the island, nervously awaiting the arrival of the Donquixote family. A week ago, the Donquixote family had already reserved the Devil Fruit they had fortuitously obtained.

"Eh? What's that?" A pirate on lookout noticed something golden and bird-like flying toward them, trailing a long golden streak behind it.

As it got closer, the lookout's expression turned to one of fear — it was a person!

Wright, draped in a Justice Cloak and with Holy Light Wings spread wide, soared rapidly toward the center of the island — where the pirate crew was stationed, and where the Devil Fruit was stored.

A week ago, the Donquixote family had learned about the Hobby-Hobby Fruit. While its exact abilities were unclear, being a Devil Fruit, it was certainly something they would stop at nothing to obtain.

Senor had fulfilled his promise and immediately sent Wright the information and location of the Hobby-Hobby Fruit. As long as it didn't directly harm Doflamingo, the family didn't care much about the loss of a Devil Fruit.

However, Senor was unaware of how dangerous this particular Devil Fruit really was, nor how Doflamingo would use it for terrible purposes.

Thanks to the intelligence from "Vergo," Sengoku placed great importance on the information about this special Devil Fruit and entrusted Wright with handling the matter. With his Holy Light Wings, Wright's mobility was on par with that of Borsalino's Glint-Glint Fruit abilities!

This extraordinary mobility had saved Rosinante's life once, and now, it would save countless innocent lives who would otherwise face unimaginable horrors.

In order to respond promptly to Senor's information, Sengoku had set up a special emergency channel for Wright to reach him within 24 hours, ensuring that Wright could reach the North Blue within three days!

Wright set off immediately after receiving the message. On the fifth day, he took off from a nearby naval ship and arrived at the target island by the afternoon of the sixth day!

Whoosh—Boom!

Wright crashed to the ground like a golden comet, a storm of golden holy light sweeping the area.

"Holy Storm!"

The pirates screamed as they were blasted away — in the four seas, Wright's strength was so overwhelming that dealing with these ordinary pirates was as easy as cutting through watermelons.

"Now then, who can tell me where you've hidden the Devil Fruit?"
