Omniscience in Marvel

Chapter 166: Omniscience in Marvel 160: Tony's Visit.

A few hours later, the sound of a helicopter making its descent onto the Hawthorne mansion helipad attracted a lot of attention since no one was informed of any one important visit.

Additionally, both the Lord and the Lady of the mansion were Within the mansion.

Just when the concerned parties were about to take action, a radio transmission was immediately sent, alerting them to the owner of the helicopter.

Lucas was wondering who could be visiting him at this time and with such a pompous flair. As long as he could remember, no one other than his close friends would do something like that…

Human Friends.

And his only close human friends were so little that they could be counted on one hand.

Knock. Knock.

Just as he was about to take a peek with his cosmic awareness, he heard a knock and stopped. "Enter."

The door was opened slightly as Henry, Allen's grandson and his succeeding butler walked in and bowed slightly. "Sir, Mr. Stark is here."

"Oh." Lucas said in reply. Truly, only those who could be considered friends could do something as reckless as this.

One had to know that the Hawthorne mansion and its entire surroundings literally didn't exist on Earth. It was there, but it wasn't.

No matter the Satellite quality, it would never be able to locate it.

The same was applicable to other notable and similar households around the globe.

So to visit, one had to have been invited, or is powerful enough to ignore the wards placed.

"Since he came unannounced, I take it he isn't here for me. Have Aethon welcome him." Lucas said and waved at Henry to leave, following which he bowed and stepped out.

"Little miss, has the young master not returned?" Henry asked Sharon who was lost in her own world. With Aethon gone, she could only pout and check out what he had given her.

And boy was she surprised?

It was still the late 20th century so the concept of Screen touch phones hadn't even been thought up yet. However, there she was with a uniquely made smart watch.

"Little miss?" Henry called out again, this time, a little louder, startling the excited Sharon.

"Kyaaa!" She screamed and nearly let go of her new watch as she raised her head to Henry. "Sir Henry? You scared me."

"My deepest apologies, little miss." Henry said humbly and asked again. "Has the young master not returned yet?"

Sharon shook her head and said. "Not since he left me with this…" she spoke to this point but stopped as she didn't know what to call the watch. "... thing."

"I see. Sorry for the disruption." Henry said and turned to leave.

Meanwhile, on another side of the mansion, Aethon could be seen making his way towards the dining room. It was a routine to always eat something immediately after his training, but with Sharon's appearance, his breakfast was delayed.

Just as he reached, he saw his mother, Thena sitting with a newspaper in her hands.

As he entered, she raised her head and glanced at him. "You're late."

"Sharon came over and was a little pissed." Aethon said and walked up to her and kissed her on the cheek and then went to his chair.

"Did you make a promise you didn't keep again?"

"I didn't make a promise mom. I don't make promises." Aethon replied coolly causing Thena to pause and then look at him with narrowed eyes. "What?"

"Seems like you've been spending some quality time with your father." Thena said meaningfully and went back to the newspaper. "Did he tell you about the trip yet?"

"What trip?"

"So he didn't tell you? That's good." Saying that, she stopped talking and Aethon knew better than to press her for answers. "By the way, Tony's here."

"What?" Aethon, who was already digging into his plate, paused and looked at Thena with excitement. "Really?"

"Hmm. But you know the rules, right?" Thena nodded and asked without looking at him but he nodded. "Good, then finish your meal."

With that, Aethon sat that and unhurriedly went through the full course meal left for him, and soon after he was done, he recounted the details of the day's training to her.

At some point, she'd nod approvingly, and at some point, she'd shake her head. Other times she'd roll her eyes at the skills her son boasts about while laughing internally.

It was a scene that she was fond of as it reminded her of when she first met Leucadius.

Due to his Absolute Intelligence, he always has something new to add, remove or improve on in his fighting skills.

She loves this part of him as it also provided her with the opportunity to grow.

She also knew he wouldn't bother asking Aethon to do this as his Enhanced Intelligence which was managed by The Almighty would do it for him, however, she still enjoyed hearing him talk.

"... Anyways, dad's just lucky that he's a few years older than me. I'm pretty sure he was not as good as I am in his early teens." Aethon concluded with his arms crossed. His expression was one of pride and excitement as he talked with his mom.

"Fufufu. I wonder about that." Thena laughed elegantly and replied before turning to look at the door. "Tony's here."

And just then, an excited Tony under the accompaniment of Henry and a skipping Sharon made their way into the dinning room. "Aethon buddy! Guess who the universe brought in!?" However he quickly came to a halt at the sight of Thena. "Oh shit! Ahem, excuse me. Good day aunt T."

"I see you're still as flamboyant as ever Tony." Thena nodded and gave an eye smile in response. "But did you ever stop to wonder maybe…just maybe the universe brought you to me?"

Tony laughed nervously and scratched his head. "The universe isn't that mean aunty."

"You think?" Thena asked and then glanced at the file in Tony's hand. "Are you two doing things you shouldn't be doing again?" She asked and gave Henry a signal to which the young butler nodded and left the room.

Not long after he left, he returned with a few maids who began clearing the table as Tony tried to defend himself in front of Thena.

Thena was Tony's least favorite aunt. To Tony who had always been by himself due to his father's 'neglect', Thena was the second mother he had in addition to Maria.

Due to the twos friendship, the Hawthorne mansion was his second home and he loved the place, especially his uncle, Lucas.

In a deep part of his mind, Tony always wished Lucas was his father.

To him, Lucas was the definition of a cool classic elite of society.

This always led him to wonder how someone as cool as Lucas would stick with a woman as strict and domineering as Thena.

The worst part about it all was, whenever he was punished by her, it was always as though he was the one at fault.

Even his mother would rebuke him, although it was partially in jest.

This created a shadow in Tony's heart, and while he could be free to chat with her as he would his mother, he knew she was a stickler for etiquette, and he just broke one of her favorite etiquette which was: There should be no form of disturbances in the dining room.

Just then, Sharon who had been engrossed in her watch broke the atmosphere as she ran to Thena. As she reached her, Sharon's face glowed with excitement as she tugged on Thena's sleeve, holding her wrist out. "Auntie, look! Theon made this just for me!"

She tapped the watch screen with a little finger, her eyes wide as she explained each feature. "It has a game called Candy Crush! You just match the candies and they explode! And it keeps my score, so I know if I'm getting better!" Sharon giggled, then tapped another icon, showing a little map. "See? It tells me where I am! And…and if I get lost, I press this, and it beeps so you can find me!"

Thena couldn't help but smile, watching Sharon's pure excitement. She nodded thoughtfully. "That's incredible, Sharon! You've got your very own tracker and game center all on your wrist."

Sharon beamed, clearly delighted. "I think I'm gonna play Candy Crush forever, Auntie Thena!"

"Is that so?" Thena asked as she ruffled the little girl's hair.

Meanwhile Tony had already left the room due to the opportunity created by Sharon. She created a window that allowed Aethon to stealthily walk around her and drag Tony out of the room.

Thena had seen it all happen but ignored them.

What kind of mother would she be if she purposely prevented her son from utilizing his skills.

Tony and Aethon walked through the hallways of the mansion, Tony's eyes glued to the blueprint in his hands. His excitement was nearly palpable, his mind already racing through the implications of what he was seeing.

"For the love of—" Tony huffed, shaking his head in disbelief. "Let me get this straight. This watch not only syncs data from other devices, but it has an interactive screen? A touch screen? In this tiny thing?" He let out a low whistle. "You're basically shoving an entire computer into something smaller than a damn cigarette case."

Aethon smirked, hands in his pockets. "More like an advanced pager, but with better functionality. No AI, no unnecessary junk. Just a simple interface with secure data handling and direct satellite connectivity."

Tony stopped in his tracks, eyes snapping up from the blueprint. "Satellite connectivity? You're telling me this thing doesn't need land-based relays? It taps into actual satellites?" His voice had the incredulous tone of a man witnessing technology that shouldn't exist yet.

Aethon gave a nonchalant shrug. "Why rely on telephone networks when we can skip straight to the big leagues? This way, you could access encrypted data, communicate from anywhere, no service towers needed."

Tony ran a hand through his hair, half-laughing, half-exasperated. "Do you have any idea how far ahead of its time this is? We're still arguing over car phones, and you're telling me you've got a watch that can make calls from anywhere on the planet?"

Aethon smirked. "And send messages, store data, run calculations—it's more than just a watch, Tony."

Tony exhaled sharply, shaking his head as he resumed walking. "Jesus, kid, this isn't just ahead of its time. This is science fiction. If this hits the market, people won't know what hit them."

Aethon grinned, sensing Tony's mind was already firing off possibilities. "So, what do you think? Ready to dive into the future?"

Tony chuckled, pushing open the lab doors. "Are you kidding? With tech like this, the future is the present."
