Naruto: Tobirama Reborn, Invincible in the Ninja World

Chapter 130: Chapter 130: Sword Slash on Turtle Island!

"Who's speaking? Zetsu, is that you?"

Obito's eyes betrayed rare panic as he looked around, unable to pinpoint the source of the voice. His gaze finally settled on Zetsu.

"It's not me!"

Black Zetsu's voice was equally puzzled as it flatly denied the accusation.

The two exchanged uneasy glances, their tension growing.

Boom!

A figure descended to the ground at an incredible speed, landing with a thunderous crash.

The impact kicked up a massive cloud of dust, forcing both Obito and Zetsu to shield their faces. Their eyes locked onto the center of the smoke, trying to discern the identity of the intruder.

"Obito, you know I've returned, yet you don't come to see me? Do I really have to find you myself?"

As the dust settled, an arrogant voice echoed.

Long, jet-black hair cascaded like a waterfall, wild and commanding. Crimson Mangekyō Sharingan spun ominously in his eyes. He wore a sleek, black combat suit with red lamellar armor that creaked faintly with each movement. His body was marred by the cracks of Edo Tensei, exuding an aura of sinister power.

Uchiha Madara strode out of the crater he had created, standing tall as his piercing gaze met Obito's.

"Madara…"

From beneath his mask, Obito rasped the name, his hand instinctively reaching for the fan strapped to his back. His Sharingan and Rinnegan widened in readiness, fully prepared for combat.

From what he had learned through Black Zetsu, there was a high chance that Madara had fallen victim to Kotoamatsukami and was now under Tobirama's control. Though Obito found it difficult to imagine someone of Madara's caliber being manipulated, the aura emanating from the man screamed danger.

Facing Madara as an enemy—Obito had no illusions about his chances. Even with the transplanted Rinnegan, he lacked the confidence to win. After all, he had been mentored by Madara himself and understood the depths of his power all too well.

When Madara had been so old that he could only survive by relying on the chakra of the Gedo Statue, he had still been able to teach Obito the combat techniques he relied on to this day. Now, with Madara restored to the prime of his youth through Edo Tensei, Obito couldn't begin to fathom his strength.

His hand on the fan's hilt was already slick with sweat.

"Obito, abandon the Moon's Eye Plan. I'm telling you now: the Infinite Tsukuyomi is no longer feasible!"

Madara didn't attack immediately. Instead, in an uncharacteristic move, he tried to dissuade Obito before a fight could break out.

After all, Obito's descent into darkness had been Madara's doing.

Back then, Madara had been old and frail, incapable of carrying out the Infinite Tsukuyomi himself. Finding a worthy successor had been paramount.

After a lengthy search by the White Zetsu, they had finally discovered Obito—a unique member of the Uchiha clan.

Unlike the typical Uchiha arrogance, Obito was compassionate, loyal to his comrades, and deeply in love with a single woman. His kind and gentle nature had immediately caught Madara's eye.

Madara had known that the kindest hearts often harbored the greatest potential for darkness when subjected to profound despair.

At the end of the Third Great Ninja War, during the battle at Kannabi Bridge, Obito had fallen into Madara's hands. The subsequent events were carefully orchestrated—forcing Obito to witness Kakashi kill Rin, the woman he loved, had shattered his hope and driven him to despair.

A flicker of guilt flashed across Madara's face, but it was quickly buried.

"Obito! Uchiha Madara is under Kotoamatsukami! You can't trust him!"

Black Zetsu's urgent voice cut through the tension. In its panic, it even abandoned its usual habit of referring to Madara as "his will."

"Heh, of course I know."

Obito snapped out of his initial shock, his eyes regaining their cold edge as he drew the war fan from his back.

For the Moon's Eye Plan, he had killed Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina without hesitation, along with countless innocents. Now, Madara—of all people—was asking him to give up? Laughable.

Even if Madara was the plan's original architect, Obito wouldn't believe a word of it.

And with Madara likely under the influence of Kotoamatsukami, his statements carried even less weight.

"Black Zetsu! You wretched thing—I'll kill you a thousand times over!"

Madara's gaze shifted sharply to Zetsu, his fury erupting at its betrayal.

The will of an outsider had dared to manipulate him, a legend from the Warring States Period? Unforgivable.

"Fire Release: Dragon Flame Release Song Technique!"

Madara wasted no more words. His mouth opened wide, unleashing four massive dragons of fire that roared toward Obito and Black Zetsu.

Black Zetsu, caught off guard, immediately used Mayfly Technique to retreat underground.

(T/N: The Mayfly is an infiltration technique, which is a signature characteristic of White Zetsu and its clone siblings, due to being infused with the cells of Hashirama Senju.)

Obito raised the fan in front of him, channeling his chakra.

"Uchiha Reflection!"

The fire dragons collided with the fan, only to be reflected back with even greater force toward Madara.

But Madara moved instantly.

As the flames approached, his Mangekyō Sharingan spun wildly, his wrath fueling his power.

Perfect Susanoo!

A massive blue chakra form enveloped Madara, swiftly constructing its skeleton, veins, and flesh in seconds.

The reflected flames dissipated harmlessly against Susanoo's impenetrable armor.

"This… this is the power of Uchiha Madara?"

Beneath his mask, beads of sweat trickled down Obito's brow as he stared at the colossal figure towering over Turtle Island.

Hundreds of meters tall, Madara's Susanoo exuded a pressure that seemed insurmountable.

Obito struggled to reconcile the scene before him. How had someone this powerful been defeated by Tobirama Senju, only to end up enslaved?

Deep underground, Black Zetsu trembled uncontrollably as it stared up at the immense Susanoo.

High above, standing atop Susanoo's head, Madara scanned the battlefield with his Mangekyō Sharingan, but Zetsu's movements eluded him.

Madara clenched his teeth, shifting his gaze to Obito, whose wariness hadn't waned.

Recalling Tobirama's words before his departure, Madara's lips curled into a faint smirk as Susanoo drew its massive blade.

Chakra surged into the weapon, imbuing it with an overwhelming aura.

Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan spun in response, prepared to activate Kamui and escape.

In the next instant, Susanoo swung its colossal blade down with a force that seemed to split the heavens themselves, hurtling straight toward Obito!
