Naruto Live: The Death of Naruto in the Beginning Movie

Chapter 13: The Prophecy of Death

Tsunade's voice was calm but tense as she reflected on the prophecy. Meanwhile, inside the belly of the Death God, Minato Namikaze frowned as he thought, The Great Toad Sage also has the ability to predict the future. Both Fukasaku and Shima have said that prophecies always come true. But Shion's prediction seems different. There might still be a way to change it.

Minato's thoughts then turned to Naruto's situation. In any case, Naruto still has the power of the Nine-Tails sealed within him. If it doesn't want Naruto to die, it will protect him at all costs.

With that in mind, Minato turned his attention to the other half of Kurama sealed within him. "What do you think, Kurama? If Naruto's in danger, will you protect him?"

"Humph!" The low growl of the Nine-Tails echoed in Minato's mind. "Who knows? After all, I'm just a being of hatred. I might help that so-called Wuliang and let your son die."

Minato couldn't help but smile in amusement. "You're not the type to act that way, so stop pretending. Didn't you tell me your name, Kurama?"

"Humph! Don't get too hopeful. It's not me sealed in that brat's body. As long as Naruto's hatred isn't resolved, he will never be safe." Kurama dismissed Minato's concern and refused to engage in further conversation.

Minato sighed and looked up at the sky, helpless. In the end, he had no choice but to put his faith in Naruto.

[The scene shifted to a canyon, where numerous explosive tags were affixed to the mountain walls. In the canyon, an army of ghost-like creatures marched forward without end.]

[The explosive tags detonated, and rocks rained down on the ghost army. Konoha's counterattack forces appeared on the mountain walls, staring helplessly as the ghost army emerged from the canyon unscathed.]

[As the scene played out, Tsunade's voice echoed: "Konoha ninjas have attempted to stop the ghost army many times with ambushes, but they were unable to annihilate them. They ignore all attacks and continue their march toward the sealed shrine. It seems the only way to stop them is with the sealing technique used by Shion, the priestess of the Ghost Country."]

["No way! Konoha's counterattacks are pathetic!"]

["That's right! They just threw a bunch of explosive tags and hoped for the best. Didn't Hatake Kakashi show up in the sky screen earlier? Someone should tell him to go down and stop those puppet armies!"]

["Don't make commands if you don't understand! Explosive tags are the most effective means of attack in this terrain. If they go down to fight directly, they'd exhaust their chakra and be sitting ducks for the enemy."]

["When we fought the ghost armies, we did our best to use the terrain to our advantage to slow them down. Do you know how difficult it is to fight an endless wave of enemies?"]

[Shion stood on the balcony, watching as a group of guards enthusiastically volunteered to join her guard detail. A look of pity crossed her face.]

["This is ridiculous!" Neji growled, returning to the room. Xiao Li, who was preparing his gear, looked up and immediately asked, "How long are we going to wait?"]

["Ashiho said he would bring guards to escort us, so we have to wait until they're ready." Neji explained. Sakura, however, was clearly frustrated. "We're wasting precious time! Every second counts!"]

["I get it, but these guards are loyal, though most of them are just regular civilians. It would be much more efficient if we just took a ninja team to escort them instead."]

["Neji, as the team leader, can you be a little more decisive? We're facing a major crisis that threatens the entire ninja world. Don't follow the client's plan for everything!"]

"Unlike his tough attitude in battle, Neji's not great at rejecting people in everyday situations." Tenten chuckled softly, trying to defend Neji.

Neji didn't respond, though his tense face betrayed no emotion. "Tenten, there's no need to defend me."

[At that moment, the side door suddenly flew open. Naruto, his body encased in steel plates, stood proudly before the others. "Look! No matter how sharp the blade is, it can't get through this!"]

["Naruto, you're ridiculous. Shaken up by a miko's prophecy?" Neji crossed his arms, his eyes fixed on the display.]

[Embarrassed by his teammates' reaction, Naruto quickly spoke up. "No, no! I'm sure everyone's worried about me after hearing I'm going to die, right? So I thought I'd do this to put your minds at ease!"]

[Before anyone could respond, Sakura cut him off with a snide comment: "The world could end, and who would have time to worry about you?"]

[Xiao Li also chimed in: "Naruto, now's not the time to focus on your own life or death. We need to protect the important things!"]

[Frustrated by his teammates' reactions, Naruto struck a pose, tapping the steel plates on his chest. "I know! That's why I'm going to change the prophecy and save the world with this!"]

["This is too disrespectful to the miko's prediction!"]

["For a moment, I can't tell if Naruto is serious or just playing around!"]

["I think Neji, as the captain, believes the mission is what matters most. Whether Naruto dies or not is secondary, and we can see his character from his blank stare."]

["Dude, those are his Byakugan! They don't have color!"]

Neji, the subject of the comments, didn't react at all, too indifferent to respond.

Naruto gave him a skeptical look, as if wondering if what the others were saying was true.

Lee immediately came to Neji's defense. "Naruto, Neji's not like that. Everyone believes in you, and they're not taking the prophecy seriously!"

Sakura, however, hit Naruto on the head and scolded him. "Don't get so carried away! In situations like this, no one would believe a prophecy immediately. And you've already made up your mind to change the future, haven't you?"

Despite the scolding, a trace of concern lingered in Sakura's heart. She still saw Naruto as reckless and foolish. Even though he seemed strong in the future, could he really change the miko's prophecy?

["The prophecy can't be changed." Shion's voice suddenly echoed from outside the door.]

[Naruto froze as Shion stepped into the room. She looked at him with cold eyes, then spoke again. "There's another prediction… You will die by having your neck slit."]

[Naruto instinctively touched his neck, his face filled with panic. He rushed into the side room, then reappeared, fully armored. "What about now?!"]

["Just wait to die," Shion said dismissively, gently pushing Naruto, who was wrapped in armor, down with a single finger. She then turned to the others. "Ninjas, let's go. Follow me."]

[Only Naruto remained, struggling to get back up, but unable to move.]
