My Seatmate is Apparently My Wife from My Past Life; She Still Loves Me in This Life as Well

8: Recommended Coffee-01

“So, I told you I don’t like unusual places like this, didn’t I?”

“This isn’t unusual at all! It’s just a café!”

As if exasperated, Kamidama shouted, and we ended up at a certain café. It was a small, stylish café tucked away in the intricate streets of our not-so-big town, expanding from the nearest station.

Given its location, it probably wasn’t aiming to attract new customers. I’ve heard that when wealthy people run businesses as a hobby, they open places like this to avoid making too much profit. This might be one of those cafés. The mature, calm exterior gave it an atmosphere that made a high school student like me feel slightly out of place.

I couldn’t believe Kamidama guided us here like it was her regular spot. Is this where high school girls hang out these days?

High school girls are impressive… I usually just go to Saizeriya. Kamidama was already heading towards the door, giving me a look as if to say, “Hurry up.”

…Well, no point in standing around like an idiot.

I had no choice but to go along with Kamidama’s plan. Damn it, if I’d known it was this kind of place, I would have silently taken us to a family restaurant.

I barely have any experience going to cafés, let alone stylish ones.

Feeling a bit nervous, I followed Kamidama, who rang the doorbell.

The interior of the café matched the impression given by its exterior—calm and refined.

There were no other customers, just an old man who seemed to be the owner and a girl who looked like a part-timer, both looking idle.

Our eyes met briefly, and the owner smiled.

I nodded back slightly and followed Kamidama to a window seat, sitting across from her.

Despite the lack of customers, the place was well-maintained.

The sofas were comfy, and the tables spotless.

Once you got used to it, it seemed like a cozy place.

“My recommendation is their coffee. What do you think? Hey, what do you think?”

“I see. You’re very insistent. I’ll have cocoa.”

“Two coffees, please!”

“Hey…”

What was that? My opinion was completely ignored.

Not just ignored, it was like my words didn’t even reach her.

The part-timer laughed and said, “Got it,” then left, making me feel like my presence was barely noticeable.

I felt like I could walk out unnoticed.

Would I really not be noticed? Should I just go?

“You look like you’re thinking something stupid again…”

“What kind of face is that? Anyway, it’s because you ordered without asking me.”

“But I wanted you to try the coffee. It can’t be helped, right?”

“It absolutely can be helped…”

Isn’t she losing her restraint towards me as time goes on? She was already at top speed from the beginning, but any hint of restraint is gone now.

It’s not something you should drop in just a few hours. Where did it go? I’ll help you find it, okay?

If she wanted me to try coffee, she should have said so from the start.

Don’t underestimate me, I’m a sweet tooth.

If I’m going to drink coffee, I need three days to prepare myself.

Ideally, I’d want a slice of shortcake next to it.
