My Hero Academia: The Legacy of Lost Numbers

Chapter 36: The Father and Son

As Toshinori moved through the shadows of the nearby area, he spotted Deku engaged in a fierce battle with a group of villains. One of the villains, poised to strike Deku from behind, was abruptly intercepted by Toshinori, who delivered a powerful kick that sent the villain crashing into a wall.

Toshinori (smirking): "Mr. Midoriya, looks like you could use some assistance."

Deku turned to see Toshinori, momentarily surprised but quickly assessing the situation.

Izuku (nodding): "It would be great if you could assist, 01, but remember..."

Toshinori (interrupting with a grin): "Do not kill, I know. Don't worry, I won't. But I'll make sure they suffer injuries that will take them a long time to recover from."

Deku, despite his usual aversion to such brutality, looked at his son with a firm resolve.

Izuku (seriously): "Okay, 01. Shall we start?"

Toshinori (cracking his knuckles): "Sure thing, Mr. Deku."

The two then launched into action, with Toshinori and Deku moving in perfect sync, their combined strength overwhelming the villains as they fought side by side.

As the battle raged on, one of the villains threw a large truck toward Toshinori and Deku. With a swift motion, Toshinori unsheathed his sword and sliced the truck cleanly in half.

Toshinori (calling out): "Deku!"

Izuku (already prepared): "Got it!"

Using his Black Whip, Deku quickly grabbed the halved truck and hurled it out of harm's way. The two exchanged a brief glance as Toshinori smirked.

Toshinori (grinning): "Looks like this is going to be a hassle."

Without hesitation, Toshinori charged forward, brutally cutting through the advancing villains. His sword slashed through the air with precision, each strike sending the villains flying back.

Toshinori (throwing a villain toward Deku): "Deku, this one's for you!"

Deku (ready for the assist): "Sure thing!"

With a swift move, Deku caught the flying villain and delivered a powerful suplex, knocking him out instantly. More villains rushed toward them, but Toshinori's relentless sword slashes kept them at bay.

Toshinori (cutting through the chaos): "Alright then."

Deku, meanwhile, unleashed his kinetic energy with a punch using Fa Jin, sending the remaining villains crashing into the distance.

Deku (catching his breath):"Take this!"

With the final group of villains defeated, the two stood side by side, taking a moment to assess their victory.

Deku (nodding in appreciation): "Thanks for your assistance, 01."

Toshinori sheathed his sword and glanced over at Deku.

Toshinori (calmly): "I was near one of All for One's hideouts trying to find clues about the location of Monster 0's cell, but I didn't find anything concrete."

Deku observed Toshinori carefully, wanting to offer words of encouragement but knowing that he couldn't push him too hard to regain his memories.

Toshinori (thoughtfully): "But... I might have found something useful for you."

Deku's expression softened, appreciating his son's effort in helping.

Toshinori (handing a pendrive to Deku): "Take this. I think they're working on creating a dangerous Nomu. This could be crucial."

For a moment, Deku was stunned by the information but quickly regained his composure.

Izuku (serious): "I see. Thanks for informing me, 01."

Toshinori (calmly): "Anytime, Mr. Midoriya."

As Toshinori turned to leave, Izuku hesitated before calling out.

Izuku (slightly nervous): "To… I mean, 01. If you don't mind, would you come to my mansion for a while? My wife is a really great cook."

Toshinori paused, thinking for a second, and then smiled warmly.

Toshinori (with a slight smile): "Sure, Mr. Midoriya. I'd be honored."

As Toshinori walked towards the mansion, he was struck by its impressive architecture.

Toshinori (impressed): "Wow, Mr. Midoriya, I must say, it's beautiful."

Deku chuckled, appreciating the compliment.

Deku: "Thanks, 01. You'll love Ochaco's cooking—she's the best."

When they entered the house, Ochaco greeted them warmly with a smile.

Ochaco: "Welcome, 01. Please, make yourself at home."

Toshinori looked around, and suddenly a flash of memory flickered in his mind.

Toshinori (thinking): "What was that?"

Ochaco (concerned): "01, is something wrong?"

Toshinori (shaking his head): "Nothing, Mrs. Midoriya. Don't worry."

As they sat down for dinner, Toshinori eyed the meal.

Toshinori (grinning): "Wow, it looks delicious."

He took a bite, and another flash hit him—this time, stronger. Ochaco noticed something off.

Ochaco (worried): "01, are you okay? You're crying."

Toshinori, startled, touched his face and felt the tears.

Toshinori (confused): "I don't know, Mrs. Midoriya, but this taste… it's like I've missed it, like I've been craving this food for so long."

Izuku exchanged a glance with Ochaco, and they both realized it wasn't 01 who was crying—it was their son, Toshinori, buried somewhere inside.

After dinner, Toshinori left the mansion, still visibly shaken. The moment he was gone, Ochaco, who had been holding back her emotions, finally burst into tears.

Ochaco (crying): "Deku-kun…"

Izuku gently held his wife, comforting her.

Izuku (softly): "Yes, Ochaco. It was Toshinori who shed those tears. There's hope—we can bring our son back."
