Multiverse Family System: Rise of the Charlotte Family

Chapter 29: Fair Trade

---

"Hahaha~~~"

A light chuckle echoed.

Joey strode forward with his four younger brothers walking beside him.

"You bastard!"

"Get out of my way!"

A massive Giant stood in Joey's path, but Cabaletta, armed with his spear, charged fiercely like a lion.

With a single thrust, the spear pierced through the Giant's abdomen.

"Ugh!"

Blood spurted from the Giant's mouth as he collapsed.

Another Giant stepped forward, but what greeted him was a roaring Azure Dragon. The terrifying breath of the dragon descended upon him.

Opera roared furiously, "Get out of the way! Don't block my big brother's path!"

A divine blue Dragon, a colossal black Serpent, a mighty golden Lion king, a majestic white Eagle, and a ferocious green Dragon all charged into the fray.

At that moment, the five Opera brothers were like wild beasts wreaking havoc on the battlefield, driving back the Giants.

Even though there were over a thousand Giants—none of them weaklings—they were utterly defeated by the Opera brothers.

"Roar!"

"Hiss!"

The enormous Azure Dragon coiled in the sky, and the eight-headed serpent roared toward the heavens.

---

Tap!

Tap!

Tap!

The only sound that echoed back was Joey's calm and measured footsteps.

Throughout the journey, Joey encountered no resistance. Every obstacle was swiftly dealt with by the Opera brothers.

By the time Joey stood before Elder Jarul, all the Giants lay defeated.

"Huff~~~"

"Huff~~~"

Though the five brothers were bloodied, gasping for air, and struggling to remain upright, they had achieved victory.

With the strength of just five, they had repelled over a thousand Giant warriors.

Joey smiled at Elder Jarul and said, "Elder Jarul, will you now listen to what I have to say?"

Elder Jarul's expression was dark, his eyes fixed on Joey and then on the five young men who were barely standing.

Their blood dripped uncontrollably onto the ground, yet the sheer intensity of their fighting spirit instilled fear even in the battle-hardened Giants.

Sigh~~~

Elder Jarul exhaled deeply and sat cross-legged.

This simple action signified his surrender.

Giants respected strength, and the Opera brothers had earned their respect through sheer power.

Even though they were the sons of Charlotte Linlin, the Giants couldn't deny their triumph.

Raising his cup of wine high, Jarul declared, "To the five valiant warriors, this drink is well-deserved!"

He downed the wine in one go, then looked at Joey with a frown.

"Charlotte Joey! I dislike you. There's something about your eyes—they show no emotion, as if everything unfolds exactly as you've planned. People like you are infuriating."

Joey chuckled softly, "Whether you like or dislike me doesn't matter to me, Elder Jarul. Now, shall we discuss the deal?"

Jarul replied, "Very well. Tell me what you want."

Truthfully, Jarul was curious about Joey's intentions.

The enmity between the Charlotte family and the Giants ran deep, making any negotiations between the two sides extremely difficult.

Stretching out a single finger, Joey stated, "The current leaders of the Giant Warrior Pirates, Dorry and Brogy, have gone missing. I can bring them back to you, but in exchange, I want 5,000 Giants."

"Impossible!"

Jarul rejected the offer without hesitation.

Selling out the Giants was unthinkable.

Joey shook his head, "Don't be so quick to refuse, Elder Jarul. It's true that the feud between the Charlotte family and the Giants stems from Elder Jorul, but there are no eternal enemies, only eternal interests."

"If I'm not mistaken, the absence of Dorry and Brogy has left the Giants in a precarious position. Until Prince Loki matures—"

"Ah!"

Joey's calm voice made Jarul's face darken.

The truth was undeniable.

Both Jarul and Jorul were old. Even though Giants lived three times as long as humans, Jarul was nearing 400 years of age, and Jorul had already died at 344.

In human terms, they were over a hundred years old.

If it weren't for their advanced age weakening their strength, even a monstrous five-year-old Charlotte Linlin couldn't have defeated them.

Though the Giants appeared strong, they were hollow inside. The older generation was nearing its end, and the younger generation, including Loki, had yet to grow.

As for Dorry and Brogy, who should have been the pillars of their race, they were missing.

Understanding the Giants' plight, Joey was confident Jarul wouldn't refuse his offer.

Smiling, Joey said, "Elder Jarul, consider this carefully. If word gets out about the Giants' current state, what will become of their reputation as the world's strongest nation? That piece of bread will certainly attract many hungry mouths."

Despite the smile on Joey's face, his words carried a chilling weight.

Jarul's fiery temper flared as he stood up, seething with rage. "You bastard! Are you threatening me?"

Joey shook his head, "Elder Jarul, this is not a threat, merely a suggestion. Refusing me won't lead to anything good."

"..."

"I agree."

Glaring at Joey's composed smile, Jarul ultimately gave in.

Joey wagged his finger, "Now, the deal has been upgraded to 10,000 Giants. Three months from now, I'll bring back Dorry and Brogy. In return, prepare 10,000 Giants for me."
