Multiverse Family System: Rise of the Charlotte Family

Chapter 28: Beat into Submission

---

Silence fell over the atmosphere.

Joey, however, was all smiles.

Indeed, he had come to trade with the giants.

But—

A trade should be between equals. It's not about anyone being superior or inferior.

Yet here they were, acting like they were putting him to the test.

In that case, Joey saw no need to be overly polite or negotiate nicely.

Joey was someone who responded better to kindness than to force.

If they wanted to play rough, he wasn't going to hold back either.

For now, he couldn't wipe out the entire giant race.

But if he could?

He might just consider it.

"Hmph!"

Jarul snorted coldly, his voice icy. "Fine! I'll be waiting at the village elder's altar. Let's see if you can even make it there!"

With that, Jarul turned and left.

Many giants remained behind, glaring menacingly.

This was Elbaf's Warrior Village, home to about a thousand giants.

Don't underestimate that number.

Across the entire nation of Elbaf, there were nearly 300,000 giants.

A number that was nothing short of terrifying.

After all, these weren't ordinary humans—they were giants.

This was why Elbaf was regarded as the world's most powerful nation.

In the original story, even Linlin had mentioned that with the support of the giants, she wouldn't have to fear Kaido, Shanks, or even Whitebeard. She could have wiped out all the other Emperors.

These 300,000 giants were scattered across the globe.

Here in the Warrior Village, the thousand giants present were the cream of the crop—battle-hardened elites.

Their strength was formidable.

Granted, they were no match for monsters like Linlin.

But compared to ordinary soldiers or pirates?

They were on an entirely different level.

"Ah, really!" Joey shook his head with a hint of exasperation. "Getting on in years and still this hot-headed. Opera, Counter, Cadenza, Cabaletta, Gala!"

"Big Brother!"

The five brothers stepped forward.

Joey smiled warmly. "Remember, don't kill anyone. We're here to make a deal, not stir up trouble."

"Yes!"

A sharp gleam flashed in the brothers' eyes.

Joey's words were clear: no killing.

But anything short of that?

Well, that left room for interpretation.

"You little brats!"

"Don't get cocky!"

"You're just some punks!"

The giants had gathered as the ship docked, eyes blazing with murderous intent.

They harbored deep resentment toward the Charlotte family.

Their unreliable mother's actions years ago had left the entire giant race seething with fury.

Their hostility wasn't surprising.

"Roar!"

As the five Opera brothers disembarked, the giants immediately charged into battle.

Brûlée clung nervously to Joey's arm. "Big Brother! Big Brother! Will Opera and the others be okay?"

Joey chuckled, soothing the frazzled Brûlée while glancing at the more composed Custard, Angel, and Broyé.

The three girls were clearly nervous but stood firm, their gazes fixed on the battle ahead.

Their resolve was stronger than Brûlée's.

Joey's warm smile lingered. "Don't worry. If Opera and the others can't handle trash like this, they'd be a disgrace."

"Bastard!"

"Damn it!"

"You dare!"

The giants were enraged by such blatant provocation.

But standing in their path were the five generals personally trained by Joey.

Opera and Counter were both solid Level-6 Bronze fighters—a power level comparable to elite Marine vice admirals.

The others weren't far behind, all at Level-4 Bronze, nearing vice admiral strength.

And most importantly?

They were Oni.

With their traits of relentless fighting, increasing strength as the battle raged, and incredible physical power, they were an unstoppable force.

"Roar!"

Opera let out a terrifying roar as his body transformed.

Dragon scales covered his skin. His legs and arms morphed into claws, his head became draconic, and massive horns sprouted from his head.

A coat of azure scales enveloped his massive form.

His height, already an imposing 3 meters, surged to a towering 5 meters.

Of course, compared to the giants—who were at least 12 meters tall as adults and often reached 17 meters on average—Opera's size was still dwarfed.

But strength wasn't determined by size alone.

If it were, wouldn't creatures like Sea Kings rule the world?

---

Opera gripped his massive Azure Dragon Crescent Blade tightly, a sinister grin spreading across his face. "You lot are going to die!"

"Azure Dragon Slash!"

With a mighty swing, Opera unleashed three devastating slashes.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Dozens of giants were sent flying by the sheer force of the attack.

Still, Opera's arms trembled slightly.

After all, the Azure Dragon Slash grew stronger with each consecutive strike but left him temporarily fatigued afterward.

"Roar!"

At that moment, Counter stepped forward.

Cadenza wielded the Silver Dragon Spear.

Cabaletta brandished the Golden Tiger Spear.

Gala held the Sun-Moon Mountain-Splitting Blade.

The three brothers charged into the fray.

As brothers, they were well aware of Opera's limitations and knew exactly how to cover for him.

With a roar, Counter began his transformation.

His lower body became serpentine, and his head elongated into that of a snake. His height also surged from 3 meters to 5 meters.

And from his back, seven additional heads emerged—his main head retaining a serpentine appearance, while the others resembled dragon heads.

"Hisssss…"

Flicking his tongue, Counter's expression turned feral. "Big Brother taught us one thing: if you want someone to listen, you just have to beat them into submission. Then they'll listen!"
