"S-Sorry! I didn't know you had company!" 

His whole body trembled as he spoke. 

He knew exactly what this meant—messing up like this could get him killed. 

Not long ago, due to a lapse in security, Eri had managed to escape. When Chisaki caught her and brought her back, he executed the guard responsible as a warning to everyone. 

And now, the same thing had happened again. 

The lab coat man was terrified. That's why he rushed in ahead of time, hoping Chisaki would assign some men to help him recapture Eri and spare his life. 

"Get out!" 

Chisaki snapped. 

The man quickly nodded and rushed out of the room. 

In the next moment, Chisaki turned back to Ezaki Kitazawa with a polite smile. 

"Apologies for letting you witness such an embarrassing situation." 

As a time traveler, Ezaki Kitazawa naturally knew who Eri was. 

She was the key to Chisaki's entire plan. 

Ezaki Kitazawa clearly remembered that Eri's horn could activate her Quirk, and this power wasn't just about rewinding a person's body…

On a larger scale, it's about species—tracing back to their forms before mutation. If used properly, it could even turn humans back into apes. 

Right now, Eri can't fully control her Quirk. In other words, she's like a ticking time bomb. There's already an example of this—when she was a child, she accidentally rewound her father out of existence. 

Ezaki Kitazawa smiled and acted clueless. 

"Who's this?" 

"She's a girl I took in. A bit of a troublemaker—always sneaking out to play, so I usually have people keep an eye on her." 

Chisaki Kai explained to Ezaki Kitazawa. 

"I see." 

"Yeah, sorry about today. Made you come all this way for nothing." 

"It's fine. School's on break, and I've got nothing better to do. Thanks for the tea. Since I have time, do you want me to help look for her?" 

Ezaki Kitazawa asked. 

"No need to trouble yourself, Mr. Ezaki. She probably didn't go far—she might even come back on her own later." 

Chisaki Kai smiled. 

"Alright then, I'll be heading out." 

Ezaki Kitazawa picked up his cup and drank the remaining tea in one go. 

"See him out." 

Chisaki ordered calmly. 

"Understood, young master." 

A few men wearing bird-like masks stepped forward and spoke softly. 

"Please, this way." 

Ezaki Kitazawa chuckled. 

"No need to be so formal. I know the way out." 

He hadn't walked far when Chisaki Kai suddenly lost his temper. 

"You idiots! What the hell are you doing?!" 

Furious, Chisaki Kai stormed off. 

"Young master! There's no need to worry. Even if Eri ran off, you're still the closest person to her. Even if U.A. finds her, they'll just send her back to us." 

A man in a white coat caught up to him, trying to explain. 

Chisaki Kai didn't respond—he just pulled off his glove and, without warning, struck the man. 

With a sickening sound, a large splash of blood hit the wall. 

"Clean this up." 

Chisaki Kai ordered the masked men behind him. 

Meanwhile, Ezaki Kitazawa left Chisaki Kai's place without giving much thought to the Eri situation. Instead, he headed straight for Toga Himiko's place. 

"Ezaki-kun! You finally came to see me~!" 

Toga Himiko opened the door, and when she saw it was Ezaki Kitazawa, a grin spread across her face. 

Before he could even say a word, Toga grabbed his hand, shut the door with the other, and pulled him inside. 

"It's so boring when you're not around, Ezaki-kun~" 

She dragged him over to the couch. 

"Can't help it. I have school, you know. But school's on break today, so I came to see you." 

As he spoke, Ezaki Kitazawa pulled out some things he had brought with him. 

"Here, I noticed you really liked these last time, so I bought some more for you. Oh, and did you use up all the money I gave you?" 

Toga excitedly grabbed the snacks from his hands and started eating right away. 

"There's still a little left~" 

"Oh, alright. I'll bring you some more later." 

"Ezaki-kun, I watched your match yesterday! You were amazing! You won first place!" 

"Huh? You actually like watching that boring livestream?" 

Ezaki Kitazawa rolled his eyes at her. 

"As long as it's about you, Ezaki-kun, I love it~!" 

Toga paused for a moment, then flashed him a smile.
