Marvel: Summoning Xandar.

Chapter 21: Chapter Twenty-One

~~~Amora, July 1942~~~
~~~Spider Hatchery, Xandar DC~~~

"Who's there!" Was the shout that caused me to look away from the huge spider and turn to see the source of the voice.

People, wearing armor similar to that worn by the Asgardians, approached me with a distinctly hostile demeanor, speaking to me in a sweet and melodic language, one that closely resembled that spoken by the light elves. "You shouldn't be here, you're not allowed near spider breeding grounds." Among the group of five men, the man in the middle approached me.

"You're not xandarian," the man said, squinting his eyes after watching me, observing me getting more and more tense.

The man must have been very well-trained, recognizing that I didn't belong to his people with just a glance, something that was to be admired, signifying that he was very well-trained, not only in the use of fists and blows, but mentally as well.

"Oh, no honey," I said, activating my power and slowly approaching him, "I'm not from... Here, whatever this place is called, I'm not from Asgard either, not anymore, not after I was exiled, I no longer have roots, and I no longer know who I am... All I know is that I'm full of vengeance!" Immediately, I sent a wave of my power to the group of five, who were unaware of the blow that awaited them.

However, their fighting senses must have warned them, as they went on the defensive, at the same time unsheathing their swords in tremendous synchronicity and speed, even surpassing the actions of the Asgardian soldiers, who were characterized by their brutality and reliance on their power and blows, rather than agility and efficiency.

"Exactly, I like them better that way," I told them, becoming increasingly exalted as I realized that I was facing powerful warriors, without understanding how I had not been aware of warriors of this caliber. Because if I had known them before, my rebellion would have been successful.

The five warriors prepared to attack me, but unwilling to accept that, I sent out a wave of psychic energy, to corrupt their minds.

Invisible to them, my attack hit them, but it did not happen as I expected. My psychic wave only passed through them, without affecting their minds, managing to see their armor light up for a brief moment, especially the helmet they wore, which lit up more than the armor itself, at the same time producing a buzzing sound.

Enchantments! Those armors glowed product of their enchantments before I thought it was some kind of decoration of the armors, but only now do I understand that they were enchanted, which left me amazed, even Odin, who stood as the most powerful and knowledgeable being in Asgard, could not achieve the feat of enchanting something so magnificently that it caused the enchantment itself to show itself in full right.

This could only mean that this place possessed superior or never-before-seen knowledge of runes, magic, and enchantments, perhaps surpassing Asgard in certain respects. "I have found gold!" I couldn't help my excitement and shout, interested more in controlling these men and continuing the path of my rebellion here.

"You dare to attack the king's soldiers!" the man who had spoken to me earlier, and who seemed to be the leader of the group, became angry at my attack, who, although they did not see it, did notice the reaction of their armor, which may have given them to understand that I had attacked them.

Immediately, the leader ran towards me at a surprising speed, taking me by surprise and forcing me to create a force field to protect myself. The man could see that my shield was in the way, and with perfect mastery, he maneuvered his sword, turned the handle of the sword on his palm, and controlled it so that the blade of the sword was inches away from his forearm, then made a complete turn on himself twice and on the second turn he thrust his glowing sword towards my shield as if he were wielding a hunting knife and not a meter-long sword.

Confident in my power, I imposed more magic on my protective shield, only to feel and see how the sword pierced it smoothly, surprising me, since even Thor's hammer would need great momentum to violate my defense.

The moment my shield was broken, my attacker instead of continuing to attack me ducked, and just at that moment, more than a dozen arrows shot in my direction.

With no chance to move due to the speed of the arrows and the man's approach in front of me, I had to take the arrows full on and withstand the blow. And summoning a lasso of fire from the flames of Muspelheim, I proceeded to move the lasso of fire like a whirlpool in front of me as the arrows hit the wall of fire and were parried.

"AH!" I shouted as I was thrown to the side, and I felt a massive burning on the right side of my body, watching as my battle suit was corroded by a black substance, along with the sight of a bleeding wound affecting my movement.

Looking up, I noticed that the leader had taken advantage of my distraction and attacked me, making me quite angry, "That's enough!" I shouted, launching a pulse of magic compressed into several orbs of explosive magic towards my opponents, filling the field with explosions and dirt and grass flying everywhere.

For my part, I knew that my attack would not stop them, and I was sure that my move had attracted attention, which would mean that reinforcements would be at this place very soon if not already my opponents had called for help and reinforcements were already on their way.

So I took advantage of the time gained and started using healing spells on myself, in an attempt to stop the acid causing me weakness with every passing second. Something that was proving more difficult than I first thought, as the acid seemed to have magical properties.

"Shit," I cursed, escaping with the help of another portal would be somewhat impossible, due to my current state, plus my access to Yggdrasil seemed to be dwindling more and more, which only meant I was somewhere outside the branches of the tree or Odin had cut off the passage to the tree of worlds for me. Understanding that I couldn't treat my wound now, let alone being in combat, I set out to find an escape route, starting to run at full speed after plotting a route.

In the distance, I could hear battle cries and noises, what could be reinforcements from the previous men or said men had been unharmed by my attack, whatever it was, I wouldn't stick around to find out, my priority was to get away from danger and look for men not immune to my mental attacks, there would be time to form an army.

"RUUAG!" Suddenly, jaws closed just to my right, and if not for removing me from the spot, my arm would have been bitten, without stopping running, I looked back and saw an animal running behind me, with front legs with huge claws, big sharp teeth in its big mouth and long legs that gave it a speed similar to mine, taking that, along with tail, it looked like a creature from the forests of Vanaheim.

Where the hell had it come from? I thought, noticing how four other creatures joined the previous one, struggling to catch up and lunge at me. "AHH!" A piercing scream came out of my mouth, as I was hit in my chest by a blow from the sky, noticing how a flying beast with bat-like wings and a bony tail impacted me, hitting me and causing me to fall on my face.

Knowing that the beasts following me were very close to me and that after I fell they would be on top of me, I turned and cast an earth and air spell at the same time, noticing how the five beasts collided with a wall of earth rising from the ground, only to be thrown backward due to a strong current of air.

If I kept this up, I knew I wouldn't last long, and noticing that I was coming to a clearing, I picked myself off the ground and started running again, intending to get out of the forest and have more field to use my more lethal spells.

However, whether it was because of the stress caused, or the severe pain in my chest and ribs, I didn't pay much attention to my surroundings as before, alerted only by a huge roar above me, only this time I couldn't react in time.

A beast similar to the ones following me, but with wings and many times larger, fell upon me, imprisoning me between its paws, while its huge claws pierced my battle suit and cut my skin, at the same time I felt the same weakness as before envelop me, just like when that man managed to cut me with his sword.

"What a great show you've put on, my dear!" A female voice reached my ears, only to lose consciousness.
