~~~Washington DC, White House~~~
~~~June 1942~~~

"Excuse me, but I do not intend to share my research with another country, I have created a monster before, and I do not intend to give that power to a nation I know absolutely nothing about," Dr. Erskine immediately protested, he believed he would have to speed up his research and choose a candidate as quickly as possible.

At no time did he think he would move to another nation to pursue the Project with outside intervention? "I know how much you regret what happened in your first experiment, but you have seen what they have achieved, they possess superhuman soldiers, something that had only been seen in those people with mysterious abilities, with their help, Project Rebirth will be able to reach a peak never thought of before," Roosevelt told him.

Roosevelt craved that power for himself, if Xandar had the technology to create potions capable of curing incurable diseases, what not something else did he have under the shadows? "You are seeing it yourself, I have managed to walk again, you know something like this just goes to show how advanced they are in medicine and human enhancement."

Dr. Erskine sighed, looking at the photographs of the documents, "I did experiments with the samples you gave me," he started to say, smiling, "and it's a wonder... That little substance has an enhancer that affects the healthy and balanced separation of stem cells, speeding up the healing process a thousand times over."

"It's not only that, but even if you don't take all of it, it's able to heal certain wounds, the amazing thing is that the samples have a huge residual energy level," when Dr. Erskine got to the part about the energy in the options, Roosevelt got a little upset, thinking it was some side effect.

"That secondary energy that it gives off is capable of powering Brooklyn for three weeks, that energy is what powers what makes up those potions, getting them to work, in layman's terms, it's the spark that makes a car start."

"Have you determined what kind of energy it is?" another of the men, no older than thirty and attractive looking, asked the doctor, "No Howard, I did many tests, and it is not gamma energy, not ambient, not electromagnetic either, I just know it is very powerful if it becomes volatile, the first lab where I wanted to extract such energy exploded, leaving no trace, had I not been there, I could have died."

"This creates yet another singularity for research, if we can copy that energy, we can get clean energy, no longer relying on oil," Howard said, as his eyes glazed over a bit, as if in thought.

"Now do you see?" Roosevelt spoke, looking excited, "The sale of the Canal was a necessary sacrifice, it has opened the doors to something much greater, imagine a supersoldier with the ability of those potions, he would be unstoppable on the battlefield, and our soldiers would no longer die in the field."

"So it's done, you will take a plane first thing in the morning and arrive in the capital of Xandar," Roosevelt told Howard and Erskine, then shifting his gaze on Colonel Phillips and his companion, "As for you, it is imperative that the Strategic Scientific Reserve train candidates for the project."

"Dr. Erskine already had a candidate in mind;" Phillips commented, his tone this time more bitter than before, taking Roosevelt by surprise, who looked at the doctor with interest, "his name is Steve Rogers, he's a boy he helped get through the enlisted test."

"Well, what's the trouble with him then?" Roosevelt asked, looking confused as to why he didn't know about Steve before. "Colonel Phillips doesn't like Dr. Erskine's candidate, says he's not right for the Project," the woman, who hadn't spoken since the meeting began, decided to join in.

"May I know why?" Roosevelt questioned, looking upset now, especially since, if there was already a candidate, then why hadn't the Project been started? "The boy is too thin, has asthma, and suffers from the absence of muscle in his body, the war will not be won with soldiers who are one sandwich short of disappearing, instead, Private Gilmore Hodge is perfect for the job," Phillips said, never erasing his scowl for a moment.

"Enough!" Roosevelt could avoid no more and exploded, stopping what could start to be an argument, "if the doctor has already chosen his candidate, then let him pack his bags and travel with Howard and Erskine to Xandar, there is no time to waste."

~~~Ischyros, Xandar~~~
~~~Azrael Jaesyrian~~~

The situation in Xandar had subsided quite a bit, although many merchants had lost a lot of money with the cutting of the trade routes between Xandar and the free cities, fortunately, it was expected that they would start trading again when routes between Xandar and the United States were opened, along with South America.

In the case of the latter, four fleets of trading ships had left a week ago for Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Venezuela.

As the currency of Xandar consisted of minted coins, it was decided to mass produce the Xandarian banknotes that had been introduced to the economy years ago, but which had not been widely used, only by nobles and merchants who preferred that to carry chests of heavy coins.

As the United States had valorized our currency in the market they had, using xandarian money in South America would not present problems, especially because the conversion of xandarian currencies to the dollar was more valorized.

A gold bill at 5.6 dollars, a silver bill at $3.24, and a bronze bill at 1.68 dollars, with each bill having a different value, from 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10. This means that the highest value gold bill was at 56 dollars. And since the average citizen earned between fifteen and twenty gold bills of valuation 10, the average Xandarian earned $840 per month.

This was an astronomical amount of money, considering that in the early 1940s (i.e. 1940), the average annual income in the United States was around 1,299 dollars, and it was not until the end of the decade (in 1949), that the average income had risen to approximately $3,000 per year.

This would elevate Xandar as the country with the most billionaires in the world, and me as the richest man in the world.

Another thing I had taken action on was the safeguarding and protection of the Sothoryos forest, which had been hit by low temperatures from the south pole, a phenomenon that was fixed by using command blocks to maintain the stable temperature that had always been maintained before all of Xandar came to this place.

Thus, the source of controlled timber and meat from the livestock established there that provided sustenance for the entire kingdom was returned to normal, without suffering loss of life or great monetary losses.

As for the Panama Canal, I had planned to redesign it in a week, which would be effortless thanks to my skills and the capabilities of the structure block.

The latter not only served to build or destroy things alike, but thanks to the fact that when used, the block covered a specific area that the operator could access, it allowed him to know in great detail everything from the land, the air, and even the people and living beings within that space.

In the game, it also worked similarly, but it did not show everything, only the portion of space that was taken, instead, for me it was as if I was close to everything, as my consciousness was transported to all the space that the block showed me, resembling a level of diluted omniscience.

So I used it as a method of radar and monitoring around me, although it only covered a space of two thousand square kilometers, it still served me to be attentive to everything around me. Giving me some peace of mind in this crazy world, knowing that there were gods, demons, and celestials that with just a thought could erase my existence.

And now, this tool has allowed me to perceive the arrival of someone... Someone from the stars, or very possibly a mutant, since I perceived how that person, a woman with black clothes, beautiful and with good bearing, at the moment I noticed the woman, I saw how a portal closed, so she had teleportation powers or a technological level that allowed her to do that. So I immediately communicated with Valka and ordered the Gamma witches in charge of the spider farm, where the woman had arrived, to quickly mobilize towards her, to capture or suppress her.

At the same time, I ordered two dozen Alpha witches to arrive on the scene as soon as possible and assist in the capture of the woman.
