Marvel: Summoning Xandar.

Chapter 22: Chapter Twenty-Two.

~~~Prime Minister Gallio, July 1942~~~
~~~Ischyros, Xandar~~~

Whoever fills his mouth with falsehoods saying that my position as Prime Minister is something splendid and full of luxuries and freedoms is being an idiot and a charlatan, the only freedom I could have was to arrive at my mansion and rejoin my wife and my two children after having been sitting in my office receiving reports, documents, letters and requests from Lords, Ministers and Councillors from all over the kingdom.

At the same time I took time to eat and go to the bathroom, otherwise, I was sitting in this armchair which, although very comfortable and cozy, did not take away the fact that at the end of the day, I had to ingest potions for headaches, back and leg pains due to the daily exhaustion I felt.

And yes, the pay was good, he earned hundreds of gold coins a month, along with privileges that only someone of nobility could access, but it didn't take away from the fact that the work had increased, especially now because the kingdom had been transported to a completely different world than the one he knew.

"Prime Minister, the meeting with the High Council was scheduled for tomorrow at nine (9) in the morning, know that it is imperative that this time if you attend, the Lords of Silvert Port, Elya, Goldenfield, and Prozyn are expected." Emilia, my assistant, entered my office with a stack of documents in her arms, causing me to let out a weary sigh.

"And here I thought tomorrow would be my day off," I tell her, receiving a pitiful look from her, "I know Prime Minister, but your presence is required, especially now that the king is having emergency meetings with the Military Minister and the Minister of Advancement regarding the future attack on the Japanese country."

That had been another topic of High Council meetings and sessions since the attack on the Japanese nation would be very soon, and possibly a million warriors would be mobilized, being the largest mobilization of troops in the history of Xandar.

"It is also necessary for me to review these bills, plus I need you to sign these regulatory guidelines on the trade routes to be created with the... In American countries, the bill is already approved by Minister Gabriela's cabinet, so only your approval and the signature of the king is needed. And your decision on the 35B8 case is awaited," she mentioned as she handed me the documents, receiving them modestly.

One of the bills consisted of the loss of freedom for anyone who decided to transmit their foreign religious beliefs within the Xandarian borders, as well as the death penalty for any national citizen who chose to take sides in following and applying any foreign religion, leaving as the only God our king Azrael.

This was done to curb any attempt by the so-called orthodox and Catholic churches or any foreign cult that wanted to expand their horizons into Xandarian territory, as well as give worship to Azrael, as the father of the newcomers, creator of the Xandarian kingdom and monarch of the land.

"What's so special about this case, can't the Supreme Court decide without involving me?" I asked Emilia a bit confused, although Xandar stood with an absolute monarchy, it diverged in some cases from a full-fledged one, such as the free decision-making of the Lords over their city-states and corresponding lands, as long as they did not violate the laws and rules established in the royal constitution, as well as the decision making in cases such as penitentiary and economic which fell to a specified sector created by the Governmental cabinet in association with the Commercial Cabinet.

"It does, Prime Minister, only in this case, the Supreme Court has limitations in its decision making, especially since case 35B8 is about Lord Henry and the Tharlan City-state, which was attacked on its borders by foreign forces, know that Japan's attack nullifies the international agreement created by the king in the agreement with the Sealord and the Westerosi king, plus the captured Japanese are still protected by the Agreement, because of their role as foreigners captured in Xandarian land."

And therein lay the problem, while the Supreme Court made judicial branch decisions throughout Xandar, it had no power in cases involving related events that violated the International Tri-Flag Agreement, so the Supreme Court had no means to use to move forward with the treatment to be taken of the captured Japanese, who, while no longer in the Known World, were still protected by the Agreement.

So wanting to put an end to that, I set about creating an article to the constitution, which after I had finished I handed to Emilia "Here it is, now the Supreme Court has the power to intervene in matters of Lordship State if the International Tri-Flag Agreement is interfering, although I think the king will not take this article seriously, I think it will take longer for the article to be approved by the High Council than for the king to annul the International Tri-Flag Agreement".

Such an article would have to go through an exhaustive session in the High Council, and then accepted by the Small Council, and then it would have to be signed by the monarchy, an extensive process that would take weeks, time that the king would save by erasing the International Agreement now that neither Braavos nor Westeros was there anymore.

"Prime Minister!" the pleasant atmosphere was broken the moment a man entered my office, and as I was about to let out my venom on my tongue, I noticed his anxious and angry state. "What's wrong Esteban?" I asked, rising from my seat and facing the man.

"The King has issued code red," Esteban said, making me freeze, "I will notify the Council," Emilia said, quickly leaving the office. Code red meant that the kingdom had been invaded by one or more individuals, but for code red to have been issued, it meant that it was a huge army or a powerful force.

"What is known so far?" I asked, leaving the office and walking towards the War Room, "the King has issued code red due to a clear foreign violation of sovereignty it involves a gifted woman, who arrived outside the Spider Hatchery located in the royal forest."

"Very well," I said, reaching the War Room, "I must be correct in assuming that the king sent Alpha Squadron to meet him for the apprehension of this woman."

"Yes, Prime Minister," Stephen confirmed, opening the War Room doors and entering after me, "a brigade of Tattooed Lizards was dispatched, plus Alpha Squadron was mobilized to meet her."

"Council," I made my arrival known as I entered the Hall, five of the seven Ministers of the kingdom were already there, the only ones not present were Lucios and Gabriela, the former was in Tharlan, directing the war advances in the city, since it was there where the war advance guard would leave in their attack on Japan, and in the case of Gabriela, she was in Colombia, opening commercial ties with the most promising countries of Latin America.

"As you know, the King has issued code red, the kingdom has been breached and a response to the attack has already been issued, in the entire history of Xandar, a code red had never been issued, so you need to understand that this presents a precedent to the kingdom, one that we did not expect to cross so soon."

"BOOM!"

Suddenly, a noise reached the room, causing a frown to appear on my face, as I wondered what was going on. Walking towards one of the balconies of the room, as I stepped out, I noticed how in the distance, the previously dark sky was illuminated, with the luminous stars losing their captivating glow and giving way to a huge beam of light, which seemed to fall from the sky.

The beam of light had fallen in district four of the city, near the Royal Forest, quite possibly being helpers or comrades of those who had invaded Xandar earlier. Which made a huge anger go up in my head, whoever had caused such a beam of light, I would have to resist our bloodlust to anything that threatens our land.

The beam of light withdrew, returning to the sky and the stars, but whatever it had brought with it, was the real test, and without wasting time, I addressed everyone gathered in the room with a cold and serious countenance, who were looking at where the beam of light had fallen with mixed emotions, but overhanging among them hatred and anger.

"Hostile and foreign forces have overrun Xandar, I want all civilian guards at that location, as well as soldiers stationed at customs, Xandar may be entering an internal war with unknown forces, so any measure of force is accepted."
