Marvel: Restart! Spiderman!

Chapter 88: Ch.88 What If Cap Became Spider-Man

Charlie swung down and landed, then stuffed half of a lollipop into Old Steve's mouth.

Old Steve: "..."

The Green Goblin has bad breath!

Upon seeing the two of them, Norman first became enraged, then, while retreating, forced a strained smile.

"This is terrible. You two caught me again. How about a fair duel?" He remembered being beaten by the two of them in the last resurrection match.

"What do you think?"

Charlie smirked, taking a step closer to him.

"I'm going to sprinkle some dust in your eyes!"

"No! You can't do this to me, I am your dearest Uncle Norman!"

Ten seconds later, with Charlie's help, Old Steve raised his shield and finished off Norman.

"Who's next?" he asked.

"The big lizard guy."

"Peter?"

"No, it's Professor Curt."

"Alright, I have a feeling I'll win this lying down again."

Ten minutes later, Charlie found Professor Curt hiding in the sewers, following the coordinates.

Boom!

With a loud noise from the sewers, Charlie and Old Steve emerged from the ground one after the other.

They had taken out the second participant.

"Who's next?" Old Steve asked.

Charlie thought for a moment. "Let's go to Hamlet Street and take down Loki!"

Hydra Steve and Bucky were together, and dealing with them would take up some time.

Venom Parker was also very strong, and Charlie wasn't sure if he could handle him at this point.

Comparatively, Loki was much weaker.

Though this "weakling" had held his own against Hulk for a few rounds...

...

On the nearby street, Electro's battle with Tony was also coming to an end.

"Sir, armor energy is at 300%."

"Good, full power energy output."

"Yes, sir."

Boom!

Soon enough, the tables turned, and the now out-of-power Electro fled.

"Oh, Mr. Stark won!"

"He drove away the bad guy."

"As expected of Iron Man..."

"Thank you, thank you for your support, please vote for me, thank you."

After winning, Tony waved, and the drones in the sky rained down money again, prompting people to scramble for it.

"Stark, stop focusing on campaigning; there's another weirdo here," Young Steve said, picking up his shield and urging him.

Tony looked down at his heavily damaged armor, while Steve hadn't even torn his clothes, and said sarcastically.

"Old popsicle, go home and get some sleep. I don't need a soldier cheering me on."

"Stark, you're going too far." Young Steve's eyes turned cold.

"I'm just telling the truth."

"Alright then, let me tell you the truth—what are you without that suit?"

"Soldier boy, looks like you're really unhappy with me."

"Of course, no one likes a weapons dealer."

"Great, I'm going to change into a new suit, and tonight, let's find a place to talk—nobody calls for backup."

"The one who calls for backup is a puppy."

"Heh, typical guy from the last century."

...

Meanwhile, at the theater on Hamlet Street...

"Ah! Run!"

Citizens screamed and fled while the "Antler Demon" holding the scepter waved his hand, unleashing blasts of energy.

Boom!!

"No, stop!"

Shadowy figures flickered, blocking the energy with their bodies, and the projections scattered.

"Loki, stop, don't make things worse."

Tuxedo Loki used illusions to surround Antler Loki, nervously trying to persuade him.

Seeing the illusions around him, Antler Loki smiled faintly.

"Tsk tsk, Earth's Avengers? Don't think you can stop me just by imitating me."

He gave a wicked smile, then suddenly turned, swinging the scepter. One of the illusions shattered instantly.

"What?" Antler Loki's expression changed—he had guessed wrong.

"Stab!"

The next moment, Tuxedo Loki closed in, thrusting the dagger into Antler Loki's abdomen.

"Sorry, I can't let you keep killing. You're making Thor and Father very troubled," Tuxedo Loki said with a trembling voice.

However, despite being stabbed, Antler Loki kept smiling.

"Oh, really? That's wonderful then."

With that, his figure dissipated, and the scepter fell to the ground.

"Hmm?"

Realizing that he had only killed an illusion, Tuxedo Loki was stunned for a moment, then shook his head with a smile.

"Typical God of Mischief, really sly."

He picked up the scepter from the ground, his eyes filled with nostalgia.

This was left here on purpose by "him"—with the goal of using the Mind Stone on the scepter to create conflict within the Avengers.

No one understood Loki's cunning better than he did.

He turned towards the unconscious Barton, tapping him lightly with the end of the scepter, instantly freeing him from the mind control.

"I... you..."

Barton looked dazed as he awoke, but before he could remember anything, two figures swung down to the chaotic street.

"Charlie, your web-shooters are amazing. Can you give me two next time?"

"Of course."

Seeing the two appear in front of him, Tuxedo Loki frowned.

"You are..."

His gaze fell on Old Steve, as if seeing a familiar shadow.

He felt an inexplicable familiarity.

The shield in the old man's hand made it clear who he was.

A superhero, Captain America!

As for the red-and-blue spider guy, he'd never seen him before.

But if he could walk alongside a superhero, then he was definitely also a superhero.

While he scrutinized the two, Charlie was also scrutinizing him.

"He doesn't seem to be the Loki of this world," he said to Old Steve.

Old Steve stroked his chin. "Yeah, I noticed from his eyes—they're different from back then."

"So he's the participant Loki."

"Definitely. Shall we take him out?"

"Uh, I think we can..."

The two did not bother keeping their conversation private.

Upon hearing them consider taking him out without a second thought, Tuxedo Loki quickly retreated.

"Wait, I don't want to fight you. Let's find this world's Loki and stop him from making a mistake."

"What?"

Hearing this, Charlie and Old Steve exchanged glances.

"Did I hear that right?"

"Yeah, no mistake—he wants to stop Loki."

"Be careful, Loki is very cunning."

With that, the two moved to attack him from front and back.

"What are you doing?"

Tuxedo Loki sighed helplessly. "I'm telling you the truth. Aren't you Avengers? Shouldn't you want to prevent the Chitauri from invading Earth?"

"We can still prevent it by taking you out..."

Before Old Steve could finish, Tuxedo Loki's body turned into green light and disappeared.

"He got away," he said regretfully.

"But we got this."

Charlie picked up the scepter that had fallen to the ground and tapped the Mind Stone.

"You have experience—how do you use this thing?" he asked Old Steve.

Old Steve tried to recall what happened back then.

"I don't remember exactly. Back then, I used it to knock out the younger me. I remember being ambushed by the other me, then I was upset when I went to the barbecue shop, but I didn't mean it—after all, I was in a rush, and couldn't break free from myself, so I..."

"Stop. Give me the web-shooter back."

"Why?"

"Because you as Spider-Man would be scarier than me."
