Chapter 101: Chapter 97. Sensing the Power of Space
By now, Noah had acquired three Summoner Spells: Ghost, Teleport, and Flash. He most frequently used the first two, but Flash was rarely employed.
Ever since he summoned Ezreal, the need to use Flash had practically disappeared. Ezreal's Arcane Shift ability proved much more convenient in terms of cooldown – with enough mana, it could be used almost continuously. Later, after summoning Kassadin and obtaining two Ascendant Gauntlets, Noah's spatial manipulation power increased so much that Flash became completely unnecessary.
However, now he no longer considered this spell useless. It was just that Arcane Shift and Nether Step were more convenient for him. On the other hand, Teleport, as experience had shown, was an extremely powerful spell that, with a totem, could transport him even to the other side of the universe.
Thus, Flash was of interest to him, and he decided to explore the hidden possibilities of this ability.
Meanwhile, the portal between Earth and the Moon was closed, and Lissandra opened the ventilation valves of the training room, returning its vacuum state to normal pressure.
Back in the room, Noah sat on the floor, immersed in meditation, and began to intently sense his inner power. After receiving the Summoner Spells, the system didn't just provide him with three icons to activate, like in the game. Instead, Noah received three streams of energy that he had to direct in order to use skills such as teleportation.
Immersing himself in his power, he sensed a powerful magical potential, amplified by long training and accumulated equipment. In the depths of his body, three streams of power, corresponding to the three Summoner Spells, were already palpable.
Blue, violet, and gold – this is how these energies could be described. The blue stream symbolized the Ghost spell, violet – Teleport, and gold – Flash. Noah noticed that the violet magic around the Teleport stream was starting to take on golden hues, which surprised him.
"Is this the power of Flash penetrating Teleport? Or is Flash enhancing Teleport?" he wondered. However, the more he thought, the more he inclined to believe that it was not a simple infiltration, but a synergy of two types of magic, since both abilities are associated with spatial energy.
"If so, then my idea can be fully realized," Noah concluded. He had long wanted to find out if it was possible to use the hidden capabilities of Flash to enhance portal magic. Now it became clear that the spell did indeed possess such power. He just had to figure out how to activate it.
Fortunately, the system gave him complete control over this power, and he easily began to direct the golden stream of energy, striving to comprehend the secrets of spatial magic. This complex and amazing power immediately absorbed his attention.
In the snow-white room, sitting on the floor, Noah focused entirely on the golden stream within him. After the portal closed, the training room regained its tranquility, but the edges of his clothes began to flutter, as if a light breeze had arisen around him.
Being in complete unity with himself and the outside world, he felt his body merge with the surrounding space. This state resembled the legendary harmony of man and nature – the disappearance of boundaries between himself and the world, complete dissolution in space, the absence of any desires and needs.
Soon the space around him began to fluctuate slightly, and some strange force surfaced. Noah felt his consciousness and perception begin to rapidly expand and merge.
The next moment, his closed eyes flew open, and a golden light flashed in his pupils. His gaze seemed to stop time, and his consciousness suddenly began to rise, as if leaving his body. His consciousness swiftly swept over the Earth.
Maintaining this state, as his consciousness flew away from Earth, Noah felt a powerful spatial energy emanating from a specific location on the planet. He knew it was the Tesseract. At that moment, thanks to his comprehension of the power of Teleportation, he achieved an amazing state, as if he had merged with space itself.
Then his vision began to stretch, and his consciousness began to move at superluminal speed. The expanses of the universe flew before his eyes, the distances between galaxies rapidly shrinking. His consciousness began to travel through the endless cosmos. The Nine Realms, the Dark Dimension, the Hell Dimension, the Crimson Cosmos, as well as his own Nether Realm – Noah passed through all these spaces and dimensions. Some powerful beings seemed to sense something intruding on their territory, but due to his incredible speed, they couldn't understand what exactly had passed through their dimensions.
The secrets of the universe were revealed before him, he sensed the presence of powerful dimensions, felt the location of other Infinity Stones, the same as the Tesseract on Earth. But soon his consciousness reached the limits of the cosmos, and he felt some force begin to pull him back, like a rubber band stretched to its limit.
His vision began to shrink again, but now in the opposite direction. It seemed only a second passed before his consciousness returned to his body. Noah, sitting in a meditative pose, shuddered, the golden glow disappeared from his eyes, confusion and surprise reflected on his face.
He did not expect that his first attempt to comprehend the power of Flash would lead to such a result. It seemed that for a moment he merged with the space of the universe. Images of what he saw continued to replay in his memory.
He tried to connect his consciousness with the golden energy again, but what he had seen earlier did not repeat itself. This slightly disappointed him, and he returned his consciousness to its normal state. It was probably something like a beginner's bonus, to give him a taste of the power of the highest level. Now, to achieve the same effect, he would have to train a lot.
However, the experience significantly advanced his understanding of the power of space. Two Summoner Spells – Teleport and Flash – became significantly more powerful. For example, the jump distance: if earlier he could only move twenty meters, then with the growth of his power the distance gradually increased, and now there was a sharp jump in its effectiveness.
After testing, Noah discovered that he could now move up to a thousand meters in a single Flash, which he proved by teleporting directly over the ocean. As for Teleport, although it still requires a totem, he began to pick up faint signs of other points in space. Although he couldn't use them as teleport points yet, Noah believed that in the future he would be able to travel the universe without the need for markers.
In addition to these two skills, the effects of Arcane Shift and Nether Step have significantly improved. Even the portal magic, which he sought to improve, now allowed him to travel up to five lunar orbits, and this was only the beginning – in the future, the range could be increased.
For some reason, after this experience, Noah felt some force calling him. He realized that it was a powerful force of space, and on Earth only one artifact possessed such power.
"The Tesseract?"
