Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity

Chapter 130: Battle under the rain.

"Thane, learn to keep your mouth shut, I helm this competition and will decided when we get started" Jade exerted at the front of the vartan factions pavilion.

She was still the direct disciple of the former leader of the faceless mercenary company. Anything or event happening prior to the establishment of new leadership would be helmed by her in the stead of her master.

"Hahaha!!! This b*tch things she still holds power? Come on, the world doesn’t revolve around you," on the side of the Baldwin faction, the young lady whom had spoken earlier about the start of the competition retorted with no hint of respect.

"Hmmm" Jade’s face became ugly after hearing those words. This person had called her a b*tch? She couldn’t remember thane from before the issues arrived..he was a young loud mouth from the Baldwin faction.....before now jade had gotten into an arguing match with him and ended up putting him in a dungeon.

It seemed like he had been released.

"Don’t bother with him, just get ready to announce" Darknorth calmed jade down by patting her on the back.

The Baldwin faction in their eyes were basically headless chickens...they thought themselves as threats even though they had only one peak level 3 mage on their side. They had no idea that just the gia faction alone has the marquee cane behind him.

Even the vartan faction with all their preparations with Leon couldn’t quite figure out how they would defeat the gia faction talkless of them.

They were just fools.

"Malacath, are you ready?" Jade shook her head and looked over at the Gia factions pavilion. There her eyes met with a young man as bald as the leader of the gia faction.

However, his baldness wasn’t the only eyecatching thing about this person. It was the look on his face, it caught jade off guard....there was a look of absolute hatred on his face as he stared in their Direction.

"Hmmm, its him" Beside jade Arians voice resounded. She knew this Malacath, he was the person she fought against during her entrance test into the faceless mercenary company.

After he was saved by a mysterious man she hadn’t seen him since....until now.

"You know him?" Leon asked Arian....the look on Malacaths face was seriously appalling. Leon had only ever seen this kind of hate from people he had tortured for a long time.

This kind of hatred, it wasn’t born from nothing.

"I’m ready, we’ll begin with the peak level 1 fight" Malacath said before taking his seat.

He remembered what arian did to him so vividly that it felt like it happened yesterday. But this wasn’t what made him to dislike Arian this much.

Because of his lose that day his master had completely changed up on him. His master who was always so relaxed had suddenly become a strict and ruthless teacher even going as far as beating him to a pulp on several occasions.

It wasn’t any different from torture, but it made them stronger and more competent... in fact before they split from their former faction they had been able to create a reputation for themselves.

Gardon’s mad dogs

They had become ruthless mad dogs that would stalk their prey till its last moments.

"Yagaran, you’re up" Jade didn’t bother with Malacaths rude Behaviour and called for the first contestants to come forward.

The competition would be as such. For each round of the competition, a faction would produce one fighter to challenge another faction’s fighter and the last man standing would go against the last fighter.

On each round, different factions would produce their fighters to start one by one so it would be fair and on the first one, it would be the vartan faction producing a fighter.

"Yuvla" from the gia faction Malacath called out one of his brothers. This one had a fierce look on his face and the scar on his left eye didn’t help it very much.

"I’m going to take your left hand, just so you know." The fighter from the Gia faction said calmly and casually, before drawing out a magic treasure from his waist.

A magic weapon in the hands of a level 1 mage was a very big advantage....but did he need it?

No, he didn’t.

After a brief exchange, Yuvla was victorious beating yagaran swiftly. In The first match, the vartan faction lost.

It was a massive humiliation. But did they not deserve it? Nepotism had made this Yagaran win this spot.....and he lost eventually.

He wasn’t the only one though. Even the fighter from the Baldwin faction lost to Yuvla. Naturally they took this lose much worse than the vartan faction did.

Even going go far as to try and killec Yuvla with an energy blast from a level 3 mage. They thought themselves the bullies here so they acted out when they lost. Luckily Yuvla was saved by a mysterious level 3 mage.

"Hmm, next round " Jade called out.

This time the Gia faction sent someone out, just like the rest, he was bald and ruthless. But unlike his predecessor, he lost to the fighter from the Baldwin faction.

However when the one in the Baldwin faction faced ghosts face, he lost so badly that it was completely embarrassing.

"This guy...." Leon smirked....something was definitely different about this ghost face, he just couldn’t pinpoint what exactly it was.

"Winner, the vartan faction" Jade announced with relief. Their first victory, it would be too embarrassing for the former heads faction to fall short.

"Next battle" after a few minutes jade called for the next battle. Naturally this time it was the middle level 2 mages turn to fight

"Give them hell Ace" at th3 front of the pavilion thane said with gritted teeth. They had lost two fight consecutively. This was beyond embarrassing especially with the fact that they had the most powerful mage in the faceless mercenary company on their side.

They needed to save this senior some face at least.

"No problem" a middle aged man standing in the Baldwin pavilion said causally before proceeding to stand up.

He was so tall that he needed to bend his neck to to exit the pavilion successfully. However his height wasn’t what really made him special.

This middle aged man was a bit of a fallen legend in the faceless mercenary company. He was actually the same generation as Darknorth and was in the top 10 during their tempering event....he was a real talent, one prided for his absoluteness.

His defence was impenetrable and his attack speed was untraceable.

The definition of an absolute unit. His team was once surrounded by a troop of 50 men on an assassination mission in an extremely tight room.

All his teammates escaped but because of his height he wasn’t able to, so he slaughtered every breathing thing in that room, no spells, no magic weapon. He used a cheaply made knife.

But when he stepped out he was the only one standing with no injuries.

He was terrifying....however his lack of advancement saw his skill buried in the dust...one thing remained though, in the same level he remained invisible.

"We can’t lose, send Yager" Malacath frowned upon seeing that the person representing the Baldwin faction was Ace.

He knew Ace, even though he wasn’t an official member of the company at that time, he had heard of this guy’s escapades. It was frightening, but he trusted his brothers.

"Hehehe," at the very back of the pavilion, a kid with a twisted look on his face laughed creepily.

Amongst all the disciples of gardon he was the only one that wasn’t touched by their masters wrath during these few months.

This was simply because their master quite liked this kid’s nature. He was twisted and vile from the very start. Their master had seemingly picked the kid from the streets where he was tormenting some warlocks on the street as a thug.

"My pleasure" the kid yager stood up and walked forward to face his opponent.

"Hehe" Leon couldn’t help but laugh at the side. The height difference was a spectacule. Ace hovered around 6’6 and the kid yagar was only around 5’4. Pretty short for his age.

"I don’t want to fight against a kid." Looking down at yagar. Ace commented with a look of discontent.

It was distasteful for him to fight against someone of the younger generation. He didn’t like it one bit.

"Shut the f up old man, you should be ashamed that you stayed so long at the middel stage of level 2, that I, a mere 15 year old got to the same level as you....not talking about age differences" with a sneer yagar retorted with annoyance.

The old bastard was a pain in the ass speaking to him under this torrent of rain about generations. That was stupid, they were here to fight not....they weren’t lovers.

"Hmmm, as you wish" with a buldge on his forehead, ace agreed to fight. The kid was rude, he didn’t want to fight him before bit now?

He really wanted to teach him a lesson
