I Was Sold to My Mortal Enemy (Double Transmigrations)

Chapter 16

A group of lewd men laughed obscenely and stared at Shi Yi with lustful eyes.

His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, revealing his snow-white arms, which were slightly sun-kissed from the fishing just now. his belt was a bit loose, and there were water droplets glistening on his enticing collarbones. Under the sun, his fair skin had a rosy blush, akin to a red lotus adorned with morning dew.

Such a strikingly beautiful shuanger was a rare sight even in brothels. It was a mystery who had purchased him.

Shi Yi glared coldly at the group of hooligans who were increasingly vulgar in their comments. He now understood how most women felt when dealing with such a perverted creeps -the desire to cut them to pieces.

Zhu Laosan saw that no one was around and nearby villagers didn’t intervene, he grew bolder and attempted to approach Shi Yi.

But before he could take another step, a stone appeared out of nowhere and struck Zhu Laosan directly on his head.

The others didn’t pay attention until they heard the screams. Witnessing Zhu Laosan’s bleeding head and blood-smeared face, they were taken aback. A shiver was running down their spines.

.

Zhou Yan had gone down to the river to fish with Song Ning following closely behind, picking up fish from his catch. Shi Yi wasn’t with them and he had his own fishing net. So, he didn’t notice if Shi Yi wasn’t following them.

When they searching for him, they saw a group of people laughing and making lewd remarks, and one of them was nursing a bleeding head. The men tried to restrain themselves when they saw Zhou Yan and Song Ning approaching. These were the scholars of their village and they couldn’t offend them.

“Are you alright?” Song Ning hurried over and examined Shi Yi with concern, worried that someone had taken advantage of him.

Zhou Yan looked around and relieved that although Shi Yi’s clothes were a bit damp but he was fine.

“I’m fine.” Shi Yi responded with a cold smile and casting a menacing look on the group of men. He uttered something through his clenched teeth and saw a mallet in Zhou Yan’s hand, snatched it and charged towards the group.

Zhou Yan was stunned but quickly moved to stop Shi Yi, not wanting to hurt the shuanger, he grabbed the mallet from Shi Yi. He flung it backward and executed 360-degree spin and launched it away. One individual ended up taking the blow.

In an instant, the air filled with another screams.

.

Someone walking over and Zhu Laosan saw it was Pei Xing. His legs immediately gave out and he started to beg for mercy.

Zhu Laosan, now bloodied and bruised, was knelt down in front of Pei Xing, his voice quivering with fear. “Master Pei, we were foolish and unknowingly provoked your group. Please forgive us, we won’t dare to bother you again.”

Pei Xing stared down at Zhu Laosan with an expression that seemed to bore into his soul, he was just walking and saw them provoking Shi Yi, in a moment of anger he threw a rock at them.

Pei Xing had a commanding presence that made everyone around him feel the weight of his gaze. After a long, tense silence, he finally spoke, his voice was cold and authoritative.

“Remember this well, vile bastards. If you ever cross paths with any of my people again, it won’t end as peacefully as this.”

The villagers who witnessed this scene felt a chill run down their spines. Pei Xing’s words left a lingering sense of dread in their hearts, and they couldn’t help but believe him.

This man wasn’t only considered the God of Wealth in their village but also the King of Hell.

Last year, when large tigers appeared in the mountains, this man went into the mountains to deal with them without uttering a word. He managed to capture five big tigers, Zhu Laosan witnessed it with his own eyes, the King of Hell stabbed his thigh with a knife, threatening to prevent this matter from spreading.

Zhu Laosan had kept this secret out of fear for his life.

Not only was Zhu Laosan afraid, but others were even more fearful. These troublemakers with nothing better to do and always sneaking around, had been receiving some form of lesson from Pei Xing. Either their limbs were broken, or they were beaten with black sticks while walking at night.

“Go away, don’t be a nuisance here,” Pei Xing scolded coldly. He took Shi Yin into his arms and looking down at him, the beautiful shuanger’s eyes were wide with anger.

Pei Xing felt it was inexplicably cute and covered his lovely eyes, saying, “Alright, stop looking at them all.”

Shi Yi exhaled, feeling a bit defeated, “They were all beaten by you. I wasn’t the one who chased them away.”

“You still want to argue with me about this?” Pei Xing smiled helplessly, shifted his attention, and asked, “Didn’t you come here to catch fish? Did you catch any?”

Shi Yi thought Pei Xing was underestimating him and said, “Of course, I caught some; don’t underestimate me.”

Pei Xing looked around for the fish but couldn’t find any. He pretended to be surprised and asked, “You aren’t so angry that you brought the fish to hit someone, are you?”

“It’s you who want to hit someone with a fish!” Shi Yi was so angry that he ignored him and turned to retrieve the fishing net he had set up.

Pei Xing shook his head. Some things never change. He patted Zhou Yan on the shoulder and said, “Thank you. Don’t do anything for lunch. I’ll invite Uncle Lin and Uncle Dashan to come over and eat at home.”

Zhou Yan nodded, glanced at Shi Yi who was running away, and asked in confusion, “He must have been really scared just now, why are you still mad at him?”

Pei Xing thought, it wasn’t just being scared; Shi Yi must have been quite angry.

.

Shi Yi originally had two fish baskets, but now only one remained with just two and a half big fish in it. He hoped to catch more in the fishing net.

The fishing net was quite large, and he threw it into the river a moment ago. It was time to haul it in, and Shi Yi found it a bit challenging to do it alone.

His hand was getting sore from the thick rope, and he hadn’t pulled it in yet. Pei Xing saw this and immediately took the rope from his hand.

He gently lifted his arm, and with a crash, the fishing net was pulled to the shore. There were about six fish in it, a decent catch, jumping around in the net.

Shi Yi was both disheartened and amazed. He used to have some strength, but now it seemed like he had turned into a bit of a weakling.

Pei Xing knocked the fish unconscious one by one, strung them with straw ropes, and hung them on the fish basket. He held the fish basket in one hand and Shi Yi with the other as they walked back. Zhou Yan and Song Ning also carried two large bundles of fish each.

.

When they got home, they happily started cleaning the fish. Pei Xing followed Shi Yi, making sure he didn’t hurt himself. Seeing how happy Shi Yi was, he didn’t stop him.

“What do you plan to do with so many fish?” Pei Xing squatted beside him and asked.

Shi Yi’s eyes narrowed into crescent moons as he replied, “How about making sweet and sour fish with two of them and turning the rest into fish balls? Sweet and sour fish is my favorite dish, and it’s the first time I’ve had it since I came here.”

Back then, the second day after he arrived in the Pei Xing’s house, it happened to be his birthday. His aunt had specially prepared a feast. Although this dish wasn’t particularly eye-catching, it happened to be placed in front of him.

He felt too embarrassed to take other dishes, so he only had the sweet and sour fish in front of him. Even though he ate it very cautiously, the taste of this dish left a deep impression on him.

It was his first birthday, and the first time someone prepared a delicious meal for him on his birthday.

It was also the first time he received a birthday gift. He still remembered that Pei Xing gave him a mug. However, when he moved out later, he left it in the villa and didn’t take it.
