I suddenly became the villain and I liked it

The Child

3rd person POV, the Child

The child was not an important character. Her brief appearance was not truly important. In the female protagonist route, the child could only be interacted if you dedicate all your options to socializing. However, nobody would choose to do that in their first playthrough as training would be better for your stats. For those that did, they would only be able to have a short chat with the child at the very end of the arc. The child would show you some items that she had. A ring, a necklace, and another accessory.

“Thank you, big sister.”

The child would thank you and give you the accessory that would help against the boss. This accessory is not strong but with the limited items that you would have, it would be useful for this specific boss. Then, she would not appear again. At least, that was how people thought it would be. In a later arc, if you go through all the optional options in a story quest. You would find her corpse.

“Die! Die! Die! Die! Die!”

There would be an execution for a certain person. Through the storyline, you would find that this person is a puppet. Someone who was set-up to be the fall person if anything goes wrong. A person who was put on a position due to their past and was then carefully groomed to obeying everything someone told them to do. Once you find their corpse, there is only one item to loot.

“Ring of succession.”

The item has no effects and if the child showed you the ring, the item description would add that certain fact. The necklace was nowhere to be seen. That is the fate of the child. Someone who was manipulated and then put to death for their own benefit. But, what about now?

“Maid boss said to follow this path.”

The child is alone. She is carrying a backpack and the knife’s sheath is strapped on her right thigh. After the incident, the child tried to leave. However, she was caught by a certain maid and her shadow friend.

“Sha-, book boss said that I should use this.

The child took out a book. It was a book on edible plants. Sylvia or maid boss took care of the child for a few days while Melanie or sha- book boss also helped her out. Athena or boss was sleeping so the child never saw her again.

“I need to be strong!”

The child is talking to herself as she journeys alone. She did not want to meet her boss before she got strong so she left as soon as she could. Maid boss wanted her to stay until boss woke up but the child refused. So, maid boss and book boss taught the child a lot to help her out on her journey. The child can now cook simple dishes and she can eat anything. They did not have time to check so the child does not know what magic she has.

“Oh, doggy.”

The child also learned how to hunt. She can easily kill any normal sized animal. There is something that the game never mentions about the child. She is a genius. In journal entries about her, there would be a mention of a frightening speed of growth. The child learns fast and adapts fast. Her impressive ability would lead her into understand and improving faster than any other person could. And that competency would be her downfall. She trusted the wrong person and that person used her for their own agenda. Then, they would conspire to kill her by pinning all of their sins to her as they feared her.

“Food!”

They feared the child that could learn quickly. The child that could adapt. The child that could change what they have done. So, they made her a bad guy. The child is still a child after all. No matter how smart, how amazing, and how fast they could learn. They still believed in that person. So, they let it be. If the child had friends, if the child had someone else, someone they could rely on, maybe things would be different. But they did not and so, they met their end.

“But, how do you get strong?”

The child had a goal. The goal to become strong. But what is strong? How can someone be strong? So, the child pondered. The child had her mother who thought her everything. But her mother also told her to be strong. The child loved her mother. However, the child would always remember when her mother hit her. The child stole and so mother hit her. The child remembers mother’s words.

“I am sorry. I don’t want to hit you but you did something bad. So, please remember. I will only hit you when you do something bad, okay?”

Mother hit the child only three times in their life. But none of them where on how to be strong. So, the child is still confused. The child loved her mother the most. But now, things have changed. The child was hit four times in succession. The child tried to understand why. Mother told the child that she would only be hit if she did something wrong after all. But the child never understood. So, the child observed. She watched and tried to understand why she was hit. In the end, the child never understood but she did not need to. The boss is strong. So, if the child wants to be with the boss. She needs to be strong.

“Hmm? What’s that?”

The child comes across a caravan. It is being attacked by bandits. The child understands that they are bad guys. So, the child acts. With speed and using her size to her advantage, the child kills them quickly. Maid boss told her how to kill after all. Now, the child faces the people in the caravan. There are some old people, some young people and one child. Bathed in the blood of the bandits, the child stands in front of them as they all stare. The child does not know what to do. What is strength? The child thought about it and came to a decision.

“I have no need for your despair, I have no need for your sadness, I have no need for your defiance. What I need is your obedience.”

In order to become strong, the child would copy the strongest person she knew. And thus, the child’s fate has changed. What this change could be is something that only time will tell. If Athena were to see this, she would only have one thing to say.

“I have created a monster.”
