Chapter 2: 002 Adapting To The New Life
Soo…I have been reincarnated! And I quite like this new life!
I mean, what's there not to like? I have a beautiful and sexy mother, who loves me a lot! And I have never met my father, which is quite convenient!
I must keep the bloodline pure! *cough cough* Anyway. It's been a few months since I have been reincarnated, and I was able to understand a few things, like my name, Evan.
But when I heard my mother's name from the red-haired lady, I realised my mother sucks at naming.
But still, I am coming to love her! She is very attentive to me and never leaves my side.
And most of all, I get to drink her milk whenever I want! That holy nectar—oh, my mouth is salivating just thinking about it.
The liquid, rich in taste and thick in flavour, is not too sweet but not bland either. Just enough to leave you wanting for more.
"Sweetie, what are you thinking about?" my mother asked as she nuzzled my cheeks.
GIGGLE
I giggled in reaction as I prepared for the big moment. That's right, I prepared a gift for my mother.
No, it's not my shitty diapers; that's taken care of when I am asleep. No, I am going to say my first words.
I took a deep breath as I stared at my mother's bright purple eyes, which were staring back at me with love, "Ma-ma!"
BADUMP
Evianne's heart palpitated when she heard him, her eyes moistened with joy while her smile widened, "B-Baby, can you say that again?" she asked in excitement.
Awww, she's so cute! Alright, although it's a little hard, I will try once more, "Ma-ma!"
CHUCKLE
Evianne chuckled in delight as she kissed her son's cheek, "Oh my precious baby! Mama loves you the most!" She then showered her son with kisses, and Evan replied with giggles, approving of her actions!
Hehehe, that's right, love me more!
And just like that, another few months had passed, and now I am a year old.
"Mhmm," I mumbled as I slowly opened my eyes, only to see my mother smiling at me.
"Good morning, baby." She said with a smile.
"Gwood mwornwing, Mama." I replied as I kissed her on her cheek. I still couldn't speak clearly; I was embarrassed at first, but my mother gave me kisses whenever I spoke, just like now.
"Hehehe, Mama, stwop!" I giggled as she tickled my body while she showered me with love.
We played around for a little while, and she asked, "What do you want to do today, baby? Do you want Mama to read stories?"
Hmmm, although the stories are good, I don't know anything about this world; I mean, I know it's a fantasy world of magic; other than that, nothing.
That's why I shook my head at her and said, "Nwo," I then pointed my hand at the bookshelf in the other corner of the room.
It was filled with many books, mostly children's stories. But I ignored all of them and pointed specifically to a book about the world.
My mom was a little shocked by my request, "Sweetie, do you really want to know about the world?"
I nodded in reply, to which she gave me a pitiful look and asked, "Why? Does my baby want to leave mama?"
Ugh! She's too cute! Too cute!
I instantly shook my head, "Mama, Lovwe!" And hugged her around her neck, burying my head in her bosom.
She smiled and ruffled my hair and said, "Mama loves you too, baby."
She then looked at the book and her purple eyes flickered for a moment, and
FWOOSH
The book came flying towards my mother's hands.
…And that's how I know that this is a fantasy world. The first time she did that, I lost my marbles!
She then shifted me and made me sit on her stomach with my head resting on her chest.
The world is a fantasy world, with many races. But there are seven major ones: Elves, Humans, Demons, Dragons, Vampires, Phoenixes, Undead.
Each major race occupies a continent, with each continent being the same land area as Jupiter. Yeah, this world is stupidly big!
But there are nine known continents in this world, with an extra two being a neutral continent and a desolate continent.
The neutral continent is where all races can live freely, while the desolate continent is where none of the races can live, teeming with powerful monsters that are too powerful to subjugate.
Each major race has a leader, who is the most powerful of their race.
"And, these world leaders—" Evianne stopped reading when she saw her son asleep.
'He must have fallen asleep in the middle,' she thought inwardly as she chuckled.
She whisked the book back to the shelf and kissed him, 'Sweet dreams, baby.'
Like that, Evan spent another year and a half in the embrace of his loving mother while learning more about the world once in a while.
….
"Baby, are you done reading?" Evianne asked as she looked at her son with a smile.
Her son had grown well; he was two feet tall, his black hair was tidied into a ponytail while he wore his black pajamas.
Evan turned to his mother, his purple eyes flickering with love as he answered, "Yes, Mama."
THUD
He then closed the book with a soft thud and walked towards his mother.
Evan had never left the room; heck, he didn't even get down from the bed. His first steps were on the bed, and even now, he was reading in the bed.
The bed itself was huge; Evan once wondered whether it could easily accommodate up to twenty people, with more room to spare.
He never bothered to ask what was outside the room, nor did Evianne bother to take him out either; they were just too busy loving each other.
Evan hugged his mother upon reaching her; he then kissed her on her cheek.
Evianne smiled as she kissed him back; she then made him sit on her lap and rested her chin on his shoulder, and said, "Tomorrow, we are going out of our room, baby."
Evan frowned at this, 'She never thought of taking me out before, so why now?' He wondered.
"Why Mama?"
Evianne smiled at his question and replied, "Because your aunts want to meet you, baby."
Evan's frown deepened at her reply, 'I had aunts? Then why did none of them come to visit me before?'
Evianne, noticing his expression, explained further, "They came to visit you before you were born, baby. But they couldn't now because of work!"
Evan nodded in understanding, 'Then what about that red-haired lady? She came to visit me a couple of times?'
Apart from his mother and a few maids, the only other person Evan met in his new life is that red haired lady.
"Then, the red-haired lady is my aunt?" he asked.
Evianne nodded as she smiled, "Yes, dear. She is one of your aunts, and also… they are my wives."
Evan nodded his head nonchalantly until he heard her last words, 'Wait… WIVES!!?'
