Chapter 3: 003 Meeting The Wives
Wives!? Did she just say wives! No wonder that red-haired lady called her dear. She was her wife!
No, no, no, let's calm down and think this through. Am I against her having Wives?
...Well, yes. And I am definitely against having husbands; that's a big No!
I then turned to my mom, who was smiling at me. I will definitely have her myself!
"No!" I said as I hugged her tightly, stuffing my head into her chest. "I don't want to meet them!"
Evianne was a little surprised by her son's stern rejection: "What happened, baby?"
But Evan didn't answer; he just pushed his head further into her bosom and stayed there, hugging.
SIGH
Evianne sighed in reaction; she didn't understand why he was so adamant about this. She tried to convince him, but he was adamant.
She hugged him back as she thought about the reasons, 'Maybe he thinks I will leave him for them?' she wondered.
But she scoffed in ridicule of that thought, 'No one can separate me from him, none!'
"Baby, are you afraid that Mama will leave you?" she asked, hoping he would reply. But Evan was silent.
She then thought of ways that could pacify her son until an idea came to her mind.
She then turned to the bookshelf, with her purple eyes flickering.
WHOOSH
A book came flying into her hands; she smiled a little as she said, "Sweetie, Mama's going to read you a book now, okay?"
And still, Evan was silent. But Evannia continued nonetheless, "Once upon a time…."
It was the story about a prince who found the love of his life but couldn't be with her since she was a commoner.
So he gave up everything, from his title to riches and went after; they married each other, and everyone was happy.
Yeah, it was your typical fairy tale; nothing interesting.
Evianne finished reading the book and she set it aside. "Baby," she called as she started to pat his head.
"Just like the prince, Mama will give up everything for her baby. Nothing is more important in this world to Mama than her cute little baby."
Evan was moved by her words; he was thinking of how to solve this predicament of his when he had an idea.
He put up a sad expression on his face as he turned to her. Looking at her face, he asked, "Mama loves me the most?"
'If this works, then I will have her for myself; if it doesn't, then…. I don't know what to do.'
"Yes, baby, Mama loves you the most!" Evianne replied with a smile.
"More than the prince loved the girl?" he asked as he tilted his head.
"Yes, baby!" she responded with a kiss.
'Hoo, this is it. This will tell me my future.' He mumbled inwardly as he added, "Then, Mama, what's marriage?"
"Marriage is something two people do when they love each other the most."
Evianne watched as her son's eyes shone as he exclaimed, "Then Mama, let's marriage!"
Evianne's eyes widened in surprise, her heart melted at her son's cuteness. She pressed her forehead against his as she chuckled and replied, "Okay, baby. Let's marry."
Evan's mind went numb for a second before he burst out inwardly, 'Wohoo! Take that, bitches! She's mine!'
A big smile bloomed on his face as she hugged her tighter.
"Fufufu, my husband is so cute!" Evianne mumbled as she rubbed his back. "But, baby, you have to grow up before you can marry mama."
Evan nodded his head. He is so happy that he was on cloud nine and didn't listen to his mother for the next few minutes.
"Then, baby, are you okay meeting your aunts then?" Evianne asked.
Evan nodded his head, as he was now sure that his mother was now his. 'I got her promise, and she is not the type to break her promises,' he mumbled inwardly.
The mother-son pair hugged each other for a while before they went to sleep.
…..
The next day,
Evianne was now walking down a corridor with Evan in her arms. She was wearing a black dress with golden embroidery that made a rose on her chest.
Evan was wearing a white shirt and black pants; his hair was neatly tied into a ponytail while his eyes wandered around the hall.
The hall was fitted with luxurious curtains that blocked the sun. It had huge paintings on the wall of various people doing various acts.
Some of them are about wars, while others are portraits of different people. 'I wonder who they are?' he mumbled inwardly.
They walked through different corridors, all of which were devoid of people except for a few maids who were working.
Soon enough, they reached the dining room.
The door was big and made of gold. It was embedded with many gems and rubies, and many designs were etched into it.
CLICK
The door opened on its own, revealing a luxurious dining hall. There were more chairs than Evan could count, and all of them were made out of gold.
The table itself was carved out of a dark wood, which was probably magical as the cutlery shifted on its own.
But Evan's eyes were not looking at the table, or the chairs, or the pretty chandeliers hanging from above.
No, his eyes were fixed on the women sitting at the table, waiting for them.
Each and every one of them was extremely beautiful, and wore expensive clothes that showcased their skin.
'Meh, they don't even come close to mother,' he mumbled inwardly as he eyed them one by one.
He spotted the red-haired woman among them; she had a big smile on her face as she stood up like the rest.
"We greet Your Majesty!" They all greeted simultaneously.
Evianne nodded her head at them and replied, "Greetings, it has been a while."
The women then turned towards him and said, "We greet the prince Evan!"
But Evan didn't greet them back; instead, he just hugged Evianne, turning his back to them.
CHUCKLE
Evianne chuckled at his actions, but didn't say anything. She walked towards the head seat and sat on it.
The women followed and sat in their seats and waited, waited for Evianne to speak.
Evianne watched them for a while and said, "it's been a few years since we have seen each other; how are you guys?"
The women relaxed at her question and answered, "We missed you, your majesty."
Evianne smiled at their words while Evan snorted inwardly. Soon enough, the maids brought the food, and everyone started eating.
Evianne fed Evan while the women watched curiously. But then, they stayed silent; they didn't want to disturb the mother son pair.
After a while, one of the women, who had black hair and blue eyes, said, "Prince, you should try this dish. You will definitely like it."
Evan frowned at her words; he turned toward the woman, who had a warm, welcoming smile on her face, 'Hmm… what's this bitch up to?'
