Kiana could not ignore World Serpent's actions any longer, feeling as though she was becoming prey ensnared by a serpent.

As she gazed at the chip within the envelope, her eyes filled with contemplation.

Undoubtedly, the chip contained information about her origins, but she wondered about its purpose.

If World Serpent intended for this revelation to make her turn against Schicksal, they were overthinking it. Although Kiana could be impulsive, she had formed strong bonds within the organization.

Even if she might disregard some ties, she couldn't ignore Raiden Mei and Bronya.

These two friends had embraced their friendship regardless of her background, and considering their sake alone, Kiana would never act so recklessly.

Moreover, if World Serpent managed to find her, they likely conducted thorough investigations beforehand.

So why reveal this information to her now? Confusion flickered in Kiana's eyes.

Ultimately, her curiosity won out.

And as she delved deeper, she discovered...the one thing she least wanted to see hidden within her own consciousness alongside Sirin:

Sirin Project.

Finally, Xia Chen and Ana finalized the details for their team-building event.

It was already late December 2015, with less than ten days remaining until 2016. According to Xia Chen's memory, the main plot begins in 2016, but even before then, one cannot afford to be complacent.

However, a three-day team-building retreat should not pose any significant issues.

Xia Chen initially considered inviting Kiana and Fu Hua, but upon further thought, this was specifically for the Snow Lotus Squad, so there was no need to include them. After all, he wasn't fully acquainted with his own squad members yet.

Just as he ended the communication with Ana, he unexpectedly noticed Kiana stepping out.

Her eyes seemed thoughtful, filled with confusion.

Upon seeing Xia Chen, Kiana approached him.

"I want to visit Babylon Tower."

Kiana's words caused Xia Chen's heart to sink involuntarily.

Babylon Tower - it was clear that her interest stemmed from Sirin; what else could it be? However, he didn't reject her request.

Earlier, when he revealed the existence of Saint Freya's basement to Kiana, he anticipated that she would eventually uncover the truth behind everything.

"There's no need for such trouble; I have Babylon Tower's data here."

He paused briefly before handing Kiana a chip.

During the simulation, Xia Chen had used Rin to 'replicate' all of Babylon Tower's information into his mind. Later, Rin organized and transferred this data into documents. While Xia Chen couldn't guarantee its complete accuracy, at least ninety percent was reliable.

Beyond some experimental data, the numerous experiments and logs within also provided glimpses into Schicksal's secrets.

Noticing the suspicion in Kiana's eyes, he calmly said, "Don't think I'm just a compliant good guy. You should understand that my actions now are even more taboo."

"No, I'm just trying to figure out what your true purpose is?"

Kiana's caution wasn't unfounded, which was also why she sought out Xia Chen.

Initially, when Xia Chen helped Kiana harness her power, it could be seen as his goodwill. However, after the incident with Gray Serpent, doubts inevitably arose in her mind.

Kiana wasn't naturally suspicious and remained grateful for Xia Chen's contributions throughout their journey.

"I thought you'd wait longer to ask this question."

Xia Chen looked at Kiana and said, "In essence, we are of the same kind."

"Are you also a clone?"

"I am an experimental subject," Xia Chen corrected.

He surmised that the System attached to him was likely part of an experiment encompassing all possible outcomes. The underlying principle was simple - exploring every conceivable scenario exhaustively.

However, who designed this experiment remained a mystery to him.

On this point, neither he nor Kiana could mock each other; they were both merely tools for experimentation.

Yet, it seemed Kiana didn't fully grasp this concept.

"The same kind? You're also a Herrscher?"

"Possibly," Xia Chen replied casually. "That's precisely why I'm telling you these things."

Since Kiana had her suspicions, he decided to reveal partial truths.

"In reality, returning to Saint Freya is your best option. Of course, staying here isn't entirely problematic either. Do you have any more questions?"

Kiana studied Xia Chen, seemingly trying to gauge if he was lying.

Xia Chen understood her concerns.

"You don't need to look at me like that. At least I can assure you, regarding everything about you, I have never been involved from start to finish."

"No, there's just something I want to discuss with you."

She harbored suspicions towards Xia Chen.

Yet presently, he was the only one she could trust.

The girl briefly recounted her encounter with Gray Serpent and mentioned the chip incident.

Xia Chen was slightly taken aback.

In his memories, interactions between Gray Serpent and Kiana were limited. To be precise, the World Serpent's involvement with Kiana primarily consisted of Jackal conducting Herrscher experiments on her.

Wait, it couldn't be that simple.

Xia Chen narrowed his eyes. Clearly, Kevin now seeks to emerge, but the Gem of Desire is with him, the Gem of Conquest resides within Raiden Mei, the Gem of Grief is at Schicksal Headquarters, and the Gem of Serenity remains inside Kiana.

Therefore, Gray Serpent likely aims to bring gemstone bearers into the Sea of Quanta. The World Serpent must have some special method to prevent them from getting lost within it once they enter.

Unconsciously, Xia Chen said, "I roughly know what they're trying to achieve. In fact, before finding you, they approached me as well."

"Best to ignore these kinds of people."

"The significance of your role is beyond even your current imagination."

Xia Chen was certain that if the World Serpent intended to bring Kiana to the Sea of Quanta, Otto would spare no effort to crush them before it could happen.

Kiana looked at him, intrigued. "You seem to know quite a lot."

"Just consider me someone who can foresee the future," he casually replied. "In the days ahead, you will become a great hero."

"So this is what makes me special?"

"Most likely," he said. "Without you, civilization might be destroyed, or perhaps another person would step up to fulfill your destiny."

"In any case, your importance cannot be overstated."

A hint of determination flashed in Xia Chen's eyes; he felt his patience with the World Serpent had reached its limit.

"I'll report this matter to Schicksal Headquarters."

Since the World Serpent wouldn't listen to reason, let Otto handle the negotiations.

"Report to Headquarters? Is it that serious?" Kiana seemed taken aback.

"Yes, it's indeed that serious." Xia Chen nodded gravely.
