Harry Potter: Wizards Supersmacy

Chapter 10: Chapter -10 Quirrell.

Chapter -10.

After thinking it over for a bit, Brian's face went blank as he tidied up his things, stood up, and left the classroom.

Instead of heading back to the Slytherin common room, he decided to stroll over to the fourth floor.

He knew the way well and soon found himself at the far-right corridor on the fourth floor, where a door stood in his path. Leaning against it, he listened closely; all he could hear was a big dog panting heavily inside.

It seemed Professor Quirrell hadn't arrived yet. He had cleverly used the troll to distract the professor while he snuck over to check out the trapdoor.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him. Biting his lip, he pretended to be flustered as he stepped away from the door, hiding his wand behind him and turning to see Quirrell hurrying toward him.

"You… you're a student from that house? Why did you run… run here?" Quirrell gasped, stammering.

"Sorry, Professor! I was just curious about what's inside," Brian replied, glancing at Quirrell and his ridiculously large scarf. Channeling Malfoy's tone, he raised his chin and said, "I'm Brian Walker from Slytherin. My dad is Albert Walker, a member of the school's board."

Quirrell looked at him closely and waved his hand, "Quick… quick, leave here! This… this is not a restricted place."

"Professor Quirrell, are you trying to sneak in to steal something?" Brian suddenly exclaimed loudly.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Quirrell shot back, glaring at him. Brian noticed Quirrell's wand was slightly raised.

"I know there's a three-headed dog inside, and under it, there's a trapdoor. It must be guarding something," Brian said quickly. "You released the troll, right? You clearly fainted in the Great Hall and shouldn't be here."

"Is that so? So you arrogantly came over to catch me? Can't your pathetic brain think of what I might do to you?" Quirrell dropped the act and sneered coldly, raising his wand.

"I… I've already told Professor Dumbledore! He'll be here soon to catch you!" Brian pretended to panic, raising his wand at Quirrell. "And I have alchemical equipment from my dad, so I'm not afraid of you, you despicable thief!"

"My dad is a board member; he'll definitely expel you and throw you into Azkaban," Brian added, mimicking Malfoy's smug tone.

Quirrell huffed angrily, and just as he raised his wand with a fierce expression, ready to teach this annoying kid a lesson, he suddenly paused, as if listening to something.

"Very well, Mr. Walker?" He forced a stiff smile and slowly lowered his wand. "I'm not a thief; on the contrary, what's inside belongs to my master, and I'm just retrieving it for him."

"Your master? Do you have someone else behind you?" Brian asked, sounding aggressive.

"That's right, the great master, the Dark Lord!" Quirrell's face twisted slightly, and he spoke with fervor.

"The Dark Lord? You're lying!" Brian exclaimed, taken aback. "He's fallen."

"He's only temporarily gone," Quirrell sneered. "But he'll be back soon!"

"Really?" Brian's expression mixed surprise and worry, along with a hint of skepticism.

"Absolutely! And what's behind this door is the last bargaining chip for his return. I know your father; he's a loyal supporter of the Dark Lord, but everything he did after the Dark Lord's departure displeased the master greatly," Quirrell threatened ominously.

Brian's face turned fearful.

"Of course, you can redeem yourself for him, Walker," Quirrell's tone softened. "As long as you help me contribute to the Dark Lord's return, you'll be the greatest contributor!"

"Then, you'll be the most trusted person of the Dark Lord, and everyone will be crawling at your feet."

Brian's eyes lit up, seemingly lost in a beautiful fantasy, a look of delight spreading across his face.

"Really? The Dark Lord is coming back?" Brian asked in a hushed voice. "What can I do? Shall we go in together to get something?"

"Right now, you need to head back first," Quirrell frowned and said. "The defenses inside can't be broken in one go. Time is of the essence; I need to go in and scout the situation first."

"Okay! I'll come find you later," Brian nodded and turned to run outside, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Wait." Quirrell suddenly called him back.

"Is there something else?" Brian asked, breaking out in a cold sweat, turning back in surprise.

"Someone is coming." Quirrell said coldly, pointing his wand at Brian. Thin waves of magic shot from the tip of his wand, landing on Brian.

Brian raised his hands to look, discovering they had turned transparent.

"A Disillusionment Charm," Brian realized.

Quirrell cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself too, then used the Unlocking Charm to open the door, casting a spell at the three-headed dog, causing it to yelp in pain and roar in anger.

The three heads glared with fierce eyes, growling and drooling, but they were held back by a rope around their necks.

A shadow appeared on the other side of the corridor, moving swiftly like a giant black bat.

Professor Snape.

He cautiously looked around and then cast a spell at the dog, trying to drive it back.

The dog was hit by another spell, becoming even angrier, redirecting all its fury toward Snape.

Quirrell silently cast a spell on the side, loosening the rope around the dog's neck.

Snape's sharp gaze turned toward Quirrell, but he quickly had no time for him. The dog was completely unleashed, and the three-headed assault left Snape somewhat overwhelmed.

Fluffy, the dog, was incredibly strong; it clearly had a strong resistance to spells. Even a powerful Stunning Spell could only daze one of its heads, while the other two heads became more aggressive and quickly revived the dazed one.

"Sure enough, only Hagrid knows how to deal with such big brute monsters and thinks they're cute," Brian quietly lamented.

As the battle between the man and the dog raged on, Quirrell pulled Brian's arm and silently led him further away.

Before turning the corner, Brian glanced back.

Snape struggled to pull his leg out of the dog's biting jaws, successfully pushing all three heads back and "slamming" the door shut.

Only Snape was left, leaning against the door with his bloodied leg, murmuring the Revealing Spell with his wand pointed in front of him.

"Ding—"

After leading him far away, Quirrell told him to head back first. Clearly, tonight wasn't the time for a chat.

Brian returned to the Slytherin common room, which was now buzzing with people, all discussing the giant incident. The noise was almost enough to lift the ceiling!

Malfoy was loudly bragging to a group of girls, claiming that when he was ten, he had been chased by several giants with his father, and he even set fire to drive one of them away.

Brian found a spot to sit down, quietly listening to Malfoy's tales.

He had gone to meet Quirrell tonight on a whim.

He never intended to get involved with Voldemort right now, but tonight's giant incident changed his mind.

Since he couldn't significantly alter the plot, he could only choose to maintain it as much as possible and witness it.

But how to do that?

He couldn't always follow Harry Potter, but he definitely needed those witness points.

Not wanting to miss out on the plot, he could only try to control it, letting it unfold at the right time and place for his own participation or observation.

If he couldn't be on Harry Potter's side, then he would be on the opposite side.

The situation on Harry's side was easy to control; as long as Brian revealed a little information to them in some way, he could effectively steer the actions of the Savior group.

Of course, he just needed to keep away from Dumbledore.

But the Dark Lord's side was a different story, filled with unpredictability and unknowns. Even a seemingly small action he took could trigger a butterfly effect that might completely alter the plot.

So, it would be better to join him, infiltrate the inner circle, and let the plot unfold according to Brian's ideas.

He needed the Dark Lord to be resurrected and fall as per the original storyline.

The Dark Lord needs to live, but he must also die in the end. That's Brian's perspective.

The wizarding world doesn't need the Dark Lord.

Meeting Quirrell tonight was somewhat impulsive, but he had also made adequate preparations.

Since he would have to come into contact with and follow the Dark Lord sooner or later, why not start now? By leaving an impression on the Dark Lord from this moment on, it would be easier to gain his trust later. This could be quite convenient.

Of course, it's just a precaution; it may not necessarily be useful in the future, but it adds another option to consider.
