Chapter 15: Chapter -15 Are you sure that's mouth?
Chapter -15.
"Everyone, please step back!"
Lester's face beamed with excitement as he quickly instructed Scar and the others to give some space to the heavy dog.
He was worried that one of the prisoners might lose control and hurt the dog again, causing it to slip away from him!
"System, what's my current fear value?"
Glancing at the dog sprawled on the ground, barely alive, Lester anxiously addressed the system. He couldn't just let this dog die; his fear value hinged entirely on its survival.
[Ding! The host currently has a fear value of: 12,000 points]
"12,000 points," Lester's mood darkened. That wasn't nearly enough to make even one draw from the upgraded lottery.
"System, I want to draw 10 times for 1,000 points each!"
Noticing the dog was on the brink of death, Lester rushed to request the lottery, disregarding everything else. Even if a level one lottery might not provide much, if he got a treasure that could save the dog, it would be a huge win!
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the item 'Triangular Bayonet']
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the item 'Rusty Dagger']
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the item 'Genuine Leather Sofa']
...
The cheerful notifications from the system continued to ring in his ears, but unfortunately, the rewards from the 1,000 fear value lottery were all useless junk. After a series of draws, Lester had nothing to show for it.
Aside from the first few items, the rest were just scrap metal and useless trinkets that no one would want, even if they were lying on the ground.
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the potion 'Life Potion (Inferior, consuming it may cause permanent defects to the body, please use with caution!)']
Just as Lester was about to give up and prepare for another draw, the last item he got filled him with hope.
"A Life Potion!"
Just hearing the name made it sound like a reliable fix; it seemed like the kind of thing that could bring someone back to life.
As for the cautionary note about the life potion? Lester thought it was not a big deal. If it could save a life, that was what mattered.
After all, what could he realistically expect from a level one lottery?
"Everyone, turn your heads away," the moment he claimed the 'Life Potion,' Lester instructed the prisoners in the cell to look elsewhere.
His system was his greatest secret; he couldn't risk anyone discovering it.
Once Scar and the others obediently turned their heads, Lester pulled out the life potion he had just obtained and approached the dog, which looked like a chaotic mess. He found himself in a bit of a pickle while holding the potion.
"Where's this dog's mouth?"
After searching the dog's bloodied body for a bit, Lester couldn't pinpoint where its mouth was located.
"Forget it; I'll just find any hole to put it in!"
Seeing the dog nearing its last breath, Lester gritted his teeth and went with a small opening that vaguely resembled a mouth on the dog's body.
He held the potion and shoved it into the small opening.
"Ah!!!"
A terrifying scream erupted from the other end of the dog's body, and simultaneously, the previously lifeless body started to shake violently.
"Useful!" Lester's eyes widened as he watched the dog tremble wildly; he couldn't believe the life potion was this effective!
It had barely even entered the dog's mouth, yet it created such a reaction; it was truly incredible.
However, the dog didn't seem to show any manners; rather than thanking him, it farted right in his direction.
And the sound? Quite an unusual noise; what a rude creature!
Despite feeling a bit annoyed with Arlis, Lester chose to overlook past grievances since the dog was still a potential source of profit for him. He was determined to keep helping Arlis.
"Buddy, this is really good stuff, swallow it! Why are you spitting it out?!"
As Arlis was on the verge of coming back to life, Lester noticed the test tube he had just forced into Arlis's 'mouth' being slowly ejected.
At the same time, Arlis's backside was making pig-like screams.
The horrifying sounds made it hard for Lester to wrap his head around how a person could create such noises while farting.
But this wasn't the time for such thoughts; his cash cow was on the brink of death, and he had no time to waste.
Witnessing Arlis persisting in spitting out the potion, Lester stood up and put all his strength into kicking the potion bottle that was lodged in Arlis's 'mouth' just as it was about to be expelled.
"Ah!!!!"
Arlis, already in immense pain, felt a cold chill invade his backside, followed by a sharp pain shooting from the base of his tail.
With Lester's fierce kick, the potion bottle containing the life potion was forcefully thrust into Arlis's body.
"F*ck! Ah ah ah ah!!!!"
Finally, Arlis could bear it no longer.
The rigid potion bottle had brutally invaded his body, destroying the last remnants of his dignity.
Tears slowly streamed from Arlis's eyes, pooling into a tiny puddle on the floor.
His body had already suffered numerous stabbings and was struggling under the strain.
Now, with such harsh treatment from behind, the poor Arlis was experiencing a dual blow, both mentally and physically.
In that instant, whether from pain or humiliation, he squirmed on the ground like a caterpillar.
The movement strained his wounds, exacerbating his injuries, causing blood to spray from the wounds, splattering everywhere.
[Ding! Fear value from Arlis +1000]

[Ding! Fear value from Arlis +1000]
Lester was baffled by the persistent notifications chiming in his ears.
Wasn't he trying to help this dog? Why was he still racking up fear value?
At that moment, it wasn't just Lester who was confused in the cell; Scar, who had watched the entire scene of Lester giving the potion to Arlis, was the most bewildered.
Before his sentence in Azkaban, Scar was just a mediocre potion maker who sold low-quality potions to scrape by.
His predicament was straightforward: the inferior potions he sold caused issues.
After someone used his joy potion and ended up laughing uncontrollably, before he could rush them to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, the person suffocated and died.
As the one responsible for the faulty potion, Scar received a one-year sentence in Azkaban.
Despite not being an exceptional potion maker, Scar still had some understanding of potion usage.
For instance, the correct way to give a potion is to open the bottle and pour the magical liquid into someone's mouth.
Not to force the entire bottle into their mouth!
Are you genuinely helping him or causing harm?
And it doesn't even appear that you're aiming for the mouth!
