Chapter 16: Chapter -16 Attack the Ministry of Magic!
Chapter -16.
Bang!
Suddenly, a loud sound echoed as a potion vial burst from within Arlis.
Overwhelmed with pain and fighting to stay alive, Arlis fell into an unexpected silence.
A mesmerizing black and green glow began to ripple from the back of Arlis, spreading across its body.
Then, something miraculous occurred.
All the wounds that had been bleeding profusely began to heal instantly, and a soothing warmth surged through Arlis's body.
"Ah!"
The comforting sensation was so pleasant that Arlis couldn't help but let out a joyful sound.
Nearby, a battered chicken was so startled that it lost its composure completely.
"Could it be that this DOG possesses some kind of special power?"
...
"The life potion truly works wonders."
Lester felt a wave of relief as he watched the dog's health gradually improving.
Curiosity filled Lester's eyes as he observed Arlis's recovering body.
Wasn't it said that this life potion had side effects?
He was eager to see what abilities the dog might lose after taking it. Unfortunately, after watching for a while, he couldn't spot anything amiss.
But he didn't dwell on it too much; after all, saving the dog's life was his priority, and he didn't mind any potential flaws it might have.
Soon enough, having absorbed all the life potion's magic, Arlis started to regain its strength.
"Is your name Lester?"
The freshly revived dog looked a bit dazed as it locked eyes with the 10-year-old boy in front of it and instinctively pulled out a photo tucked in its prison uniform.
It began to compare the photo with the child standing before it.
Just seconds later, a spark of recognition illuminated Arlis's face; indeed, the child was Lester Bailey.
Lester: "..."
In that moment, he witnessed the whole process of the dog matching the photo to his face.
If he wasn't mistaken, this dog had been sent to Azkaban with the intent to kill him! Unfortunately, it seemed a bit out of sorts, pulling out the photo right in front of him for comparison.
Lester's smile gradually faded, replaced by a smoldering anger.
He hadn't expected the pure-blood family that had set him up to land in Azkaban to be so extreme.
Not only had they imprisoned a 10-year-old child, but they had also sent an assassin to take him out.
He had been incredibly patient; without the system, he might still be languishing in his cell, curled up next to the toilet and covered in bruises.
He thought the situation was already outrageous, but he never imagined that the pure-blood family would still be after him, determined to push him towards his doom.
This was simply too much.
After a brief flash of anger, Lester's frustration with the Ministry of Magic bubbled over.
How could a character like this dog, who seemed like a killer, walk so easily into Azkaban? He refused to believe that the Ministry of Magic wasn't involved.
In his previous life, he'd only seen the Harry Potter movies and thought the Ministry of Magic was utterly useless.
But now that he was truly immersed in the Harry Potter magical world, he found it to be far worse than just ineffective—it was a complete cesspool!
Lester was not only disenchanted with the Ministry of Magic, but also with the dominant mindset prevailing in the wizarding world.
The "pure-blood theory" was a laughable notion, and although it was publicly condemned, it had long been an accepted truth among wizards.
Even now, pure-blood wizards continued to hold the majority of power in the magical realm.
While the population of Muggles had surged due to advances in technology, and the number of Muggle-born wizards was on the rise, most significant positions in the wizarding world were still occupied by those of pure-blood lineage.
Just look at the current leaders in the Ministry of Magic—how many do you think aren't from pure-blood families?
Take Lester's parents: both were Muggle-born wizards who had to rely solely on their exceptional grades to finally secure positions in the Ministry of Magic.
They had initially hoped for a leap in status, but what really happened? Other pure-blood wizards had already climbed the ranks while Lester's powerless Muggle-born parents remained stuck in their positions.
To make matters worse, all the dirty and menial tasks at work fell to these Muggle-born wizards.
Meanwhile, the entitled pure-bloods looked down upon them simply because of their background.
They could mock Muggle wizards, manipulate the laws of the Ministry, and act without fear of consequences in the magical world.
The Ministry of Magic was merely a facade to placate Muggle wizards.
Had anyone noticed that Muggle wizards could be punished for using magic in front of Muggles, while pure-bloods could soar through the skies in their magical cars without a single repercussion?
Moreover, that pure-blood family had repeatedly stirred up trouble through the Ministry, leaving Lester thoroughly exasperated with it.
Slowly, a bold idea started brewing in Lester's mind.
"Attack the Ministry of Magic!"
If no one bothers me, I won't bother them. But if they offend me, they won't escape my wrath.
Lester, who had taken down that tough guy as soon as he entered prison, was no innocent little deer.
Though he had taken a step backward, the pure-blood family and the Ministry officials were growing increasingly tyrannical.
Even a clay figurine has its limits; how much more so for Lester, who was naturally decisive and ruthless?
Fueled by anger, he realized he could no longer sit back and take it!
With the support of a system, he could rally all the prisoners of Azkaban for an escape.
Plus, according to the Harry Potter movies he'd watched before, the Aurors guarding Azkaban must have access to a key that leads to the Ministry of Magic.
Then, he could bring all the criminals in Azkaban and teleport them directly into the Ministry, catching the pure-bloods off guard.
If it were just him, the surprise attack might not work and could even put him at risk.
But who says he's going into battle alone?
He had the backing of all the prisoners of Azkaban!
Don't be misled by the fact that this group currently seemed subdued by him with just a small knife; giving each of them a wand would be more than enough to create chaos in the Ministry.
After all, anyone who ends up in Azkaban is no ordinary character; they can likely wield the three Unforgivable Curses as easily as taking a sip of water.
Years of imprisonment had piled immense pressure on them.
This group of dark wizards was like a volatile barrel of gunpowder just waiting for a spark to explode, poised to shake up the entire magical world.
Of course, leading all the prisoners of Azkaban to raid the Ministry was merely one part of Lester's plan.
Before he could execute it, he still needed a little help from this little dog.
