Flame and Ice: AU Oc x Weiss [Black Clover/Tales of Series x RWBY]

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Reunion At Beacon; 9 Years Later

Hey guys, Hopefully you guys enjoyed last chapter, even though,

it was rather short. As I said this chapter will start off from Odyn's perspective, but it will be after the time skip from last chapter. Since Weiss is the love interest this time, certain events will play out differently than in the Flame and Crimson story.

With Odyn x Weiss being the main pairing for this story, all of the other character pairings are up for debate now. One thing to keep in mind for those reading this story: There are no yuri (Female x Female) or Gay (Male x Male) character pairings. That's just how I roll. Not judging anyone who like reading stories with those types of pairings, it's just not my personal preference. Any pairings in this will be the traditional  Male character x Female character.

That said here is a list of Characters who will be appearing in this story:

Baron Caldern

Hailfire Caldern (Baron's Sister)

Daikon Koizumi (Tarro's Cousin)

Tarro Koizumi

Beat Blackwing

Note Nightcrow

Giblet Zenkai

Shallot Zenkai (Giblet's Brother)

Flare Kitsune

Lazuli Kitsune (Flare's  sister- Android 21)

Khanna Branwen

Roy Albanar

Sarai Albanar

Ruby Rose

Yang Xiao Long

Blake Belladonna

Weiss Schnee

Odyn Albanar

Scarlett Reinhardt

Aiko Reinhardt (Scarlett's Sister)

Sun Wukong

Neptune Vasilias

Jinjer Wukong (Sun's sister)

Oscar Pine (later= volume 4 and 5)

Cinder Fall

Emerald Sustrai

Mercury Black

Cardin Winchester

You may look at this list and go... "That's alot of characters!". I know the cast of Rwby is already quite large, but one thing to note is not all of these characters will be main focuses. Some of them will be reoccuring characters that don't play a huge role in the story until later volumes. And if you noticed: Yes, I made Android 21 and Flare sisters even though the look nothing alike. We'll just say their adopted siblings namely for Android 21 that is.

One other thing to note before we get started with the story: some of them may not come in until volume 3 at the vytal festival, so just keep that in mind.  The elven characters such as Valvahdern,  Zero, and Sybyrh are going to be reoccurring characters so they won't be main focuses of the story. I will do my best to make sure each characters gets some of the spotlight though. It's healthy for a story's side characters to have value too.

But, that's enough of my rambling! Onto the story!

Disclaimer: I don't own Black Clover, Dragon Ball, The Tales of series, Rwby, or any of their characters. I only own the oc's that appear within this story!

Opening theme:

Opening: Alive by ReoNa (Arknights: Prelude to Dawn anime opening 1)

Visuals: Replace the Arknights characters with the cast of this story and replace the reunion with Grimm and Atlas soldiers. The opening depicts the divide between the elves and the humans, while Huntsman and Huntresses fight off the Grimm. The chorus shows Odyn and the other elves struggle against the humans, the same with the faunus and Saiyan characters. The song ends as it zooms to a shot of Odyn and Weiss look off into the distance before the dark elf turns to look at Weiss. Weiss, noticing his gaze just smiles as the title card for the story comes up after the screen is briefly black.

Chapter 3: Reunion at Beacon- 9 years Later

Location: West of Mantle, Continent of Solitas, outside of the Kingdom of Atlas

The screen comes up to the sight of majestic mountains just west of Atlas surround by a sea of trees. This sea of trees is most likely the forest of Solitas. Within the Forest of Solitas, we see a certain encampment. It is within this encampment that we see some familiar faces. A tall, young dark elven teen with flaming eyes, pointed ears, and long dark blue hair that went down past his shoulders was seen sparring with some one.

The young dark elf wore a dark green jacket with a dark blue shirt underneath it, a black belt, gray camouflage colored pants, black combat boots, sliver and fingerless gloves, with a blue and gold sheath strapped to his back with his sword. His sword had a gold and silver blade with a black handle. A green gem was in the middle of the dark colored hilt.

Imagine his sword being like a mix between these two swords: Ragnell and Alondite.

This was Odyn Albanar, the eldest of his siblings at 17 years old. He was almost at the height of a full grown dark elf. His arms and part of his face had scars on them, due to years of mistreatment by the humans of Atlas. So needless to say, he didn't like humans much. Except for one, that he never forgot about.... his childhood best friend, Weiss. He was seen sparring with a red haired dark elf.

This red haired dark elf had the same skin tone and eyes as Odyn. He wore dark colored armor with a blue chestplate, matching arm guards and shin guards, with gray boots, a black belt, with an orange colored long sleeved shirt, and a blue cape with crimson highlights flowing behind him. His sheath rested on his side with his dark brown belt. His sword had a red gem in the hilt of the guard that fanned out like a mini crescent moon. It was ornately designed with several runic patterns on it, along with a royal blue color. It's blade was the typical silver with a bit of gold coming from the hilt of the sword.

It's similar to the the binding blade from Roy's games. Just imagine the colors are slightly different.

This dark elf Odyn trained with was his younger brother, Roy Albanar. A dark blue headband with a small golden tiara(crown) finished his look. Next to them, stood Sarai.

Sarai was now 15 years old with dark purple hair that had crimson highlights in them. She had a lighter shade of dark skin with flame colored eyes and pointed and elongated(slightly) ears. Her hair went down to her mid back. She had on a dark blue dress with a silver breastplate. The the design of the Albanar Tribe's insignia upon  the front of the armor. Sarai wore steel gray armor for her feet and had matching steel gauntlets for her hands.

Basically Saber's (Artoria Pendragon: King Arthur) outfit from the Fate Series...

This is what Sarai looks like just with darker skin, the elf ears, and her sword being more elf like in nature.

Sarai trained with her cousin, Khanna Branwen, and her two friends: Baron Caldern and Hailfire Caldern.

Khanna's hammer: for reference (spiked warhammer)

Hailfire was an elven shield maiden who had joined their ranks only recently after losing her father to illness. She had auburn hair, burning eyes, and the dark elf ears. She wore golden armor with the head the design of an ogre head in the center of her chestplate. Her weapon was a was a war mace, not unlike Khanna's hammer. The difference was, Hailfire preferred to use a shield and her mace rather than not have any protection at all.

Authors note: For reference just think of one of Kisara's alternate outfits in Tales of Arise. That's basically the armor Hailfire wears.

As for Baron, he wore a midnight purple and black set of armor that was lightweight. It was very durable at the same time. He had twin blade that turned into blaster pistols. The defining feature of the armor was thepurple scarf he wore. It blended perfectly with the torn black cape attached to his armor. Baron had auburn hair as well as the familiar flame colored eyes and pointed ears. He was the youngest of the group, only recently turning 15.

A dark elf in emerald green and gold armor came and knelt towards them.

She had the defining physical traits of the dark elves, the only difference being her black hair with gold highlights. This was Sybyrh Arkham, the vice commander of the Elven Vanguard.

" Forgive me for interrupting your training, my lords.. but Their majesties wish to speak to 6 of you.," Sybyrh apologized.

Odyn turned towards her and nodded. He spoke, gaining the others attention.

"Thank you, Sybyrh. Tell our mother and Father that we are on our way.," Odyn said.

"Actually, milord... they wished for me to fetch you all personally.," Sybyrh replied.

This definitely caught their attention. That was rather odd. Normally, the king and queen wouldn't send for all 6 of them at once. Whatever they had to speak to them about, must have been really important. Khanna stepped forward as she spoke.

"We understand then, Sybyrh. Why don't you lead the way then?," Khanna said in reply.

By this time, the other young elves had walked over and either slung their weapon to their backs or put them in a place for safe keeping near their person.

"Very well, right this way then.," Sybyrh said.

The dark elves then followed Sybyrh as they made their way through the encampment. They passed by others of their kind who were just mingling at the time. The group received waves and smiles from the other dark elves who saw them following Sybyrh. The group waved back as they trekked through the small encampment in the forest.

"What do you suppose their majesties would want, Lord Odyn?," Hailfire asked.

Odyn put his hand to his chin in thought before responding.

"To be honest with you, Hail.. I'm not too sure myself.," Odyn replied.

"Whatever they want, it must be very important for all of us to be summoned at once.," Baron said.

"True... Because they typically wouldn't have 6 people at once meet them unless it was urgent, right?," Roy theorized.

"How urgent could it be though, for 6 people at the same time?," Sarai said in thought.

"Important enough, apparently.," Khanna added.

Odyn just shrugged as he added his own opinion.

"Well... whatever it is, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.," Odyn said shrugging.

The others nodded in agreement as they continued to follow Sybyrh. After a little while of walking, they finally came to the area where The King and Queen were waiting for them.

Time skip: With Berethon and Hyatan...

The two sat on a pair of thrones made from wood with the various pelts of wild animals they had hunted. They weren't anything special but that seat represented their authority. The area were Berèthon and Hýatan sat upon their thrones made of wood was a cavern in a nearby cave. Beams had supported the ceiling so as to reinforce the integrity of the structures. Flags with the emblem of the royal family hung upon the walls of the cavern the group of 6 dark elven teens walked through.

Soldiers donned in Elven armor knelt towards the King and Queen with others bearing the flag of the elven people. It was like a royal procession as they walked into the room.

*Insert: Kneel before the Crown (Audiomachine) ost*

This will be the theme for the King and Queen in this story

Sybyrh knelt before the King and Queen with the others following suit. The floor of the cavern had been smoothed out to have cobble on it with the back of cavern allowing sunlight to pour in. Berethon stood to his feet as he welcomed them.

"You can lift your heads now.," Berethon said.

The teens did as instructed as they gazed upon their rulers. Berethon and Hyatan hadn't changed much as far as appearances were concerned, but they had a much harder and rugged expression on their faces. No doubt, a result of the humans persecution and betrayal.

"As you can see, I have brought them to you my lieges.," Sybyrh said.

Hyatan then spoke.

"As all of you well know, it has been rather difficult for us since Nicolas passed on. We have not gathered you to simply reminice about the past. Our enemy has begun to move.,"Hyatan said.

Lylah then spoke as she  was seen next to the Queen.

"Others may not have realized as such, but we know the real reason behind the humans dark behavior towards us. They've made their goal abundantly clear...,"Lylah said.

Khanna then spoke up respectfully since the elven woman before her was the commander of the elven armies.

"General, sure you don't mean...,"Khanna said before Lylah nodded.

She sighed before answering.

"Unfortunately, yes it's them. The devils... have begun to move.," Lylah replied. "No thanks to Thanatos and the humans greed."

Hýatan then spoke, adding her own insight.

"Which... is why something must be done. However, we do not have a way of knowing what the devils next move will be.," Hýatan said with a sigh.

"What do you suggest we do, Your Grace?," Sybyrh asked.

Hýatan then adopted a thinking position as she put her hand to her chin in thought. A moment later, she had an idea. She had no idea of it would work out smoothly or not, but it was worth a shot.

"There is... one place we could go.," Hyatan said.

"And that is?," Lylah asked.

"Beacon Academy in Vale.," She answered.

The others were surprised at this suggestion.

"Your Grace, are you certain?," Lylah asked.

Hýatan nodded.

"I know why you may be worried, Lylah. But, trust me on this one. The headmaster who is in charge of that school is an old friend of ours, and one of the very few humans you can trust.," Hyatan replied.

Berethon nodded in agreement.

"It would be to our advantage to send our young lords there. They can study different styles of combat as well as keep an eye on the devils movements.," Berethon replied.

Lylah sighed, she knew they were right. She didn't like the thought of elves critical to their people's future being tossed back into the world of the humans. At the same time, she knew it was necessary in order to know what their enemies were up to and planning.

Hyatan's expression on her face softened when she looked at the left eye of her son. It had just healed after he was attacked by humans almost a decade ago.

Almost as if he could read his mother's mind, Odyn spoke up.

"Your Grace, you needn't worry about my eye. It was my fault for not listening to you and his majesty's council and as a result my original eye was lost. That wasn't your fault. The fault lies with him since I was too stubborn and naieve to listen at the time." Odyn assured her.

Hyatan smiled sadly, but she felt relieved that her son never blamed her or her husband for the injury. She was just concerned as any mother would be about their child.

"Tell me, Odyn... How old are you now, my son?," Hyatan asked.

Odyn was rather confused as to why his mother, the queen, would ask him such a question. He chose to answer anyway, despite not knowing why.

" I recently turned 17, Your Grace.," He answered.

Hyatan then turned to the other dark elves beside Odyn.

"And you, Roy?," She asked.

"I am 16 now, your majesty.," Roy said.

"I see... what about you all? Khanna? Baron? Sarai? And you as well, Hailfire?," Hyatan asked.

Khanna answered, respectfully still kneeling. Hyatan may have been her Aunt, but she was still the queen of the elven people.

"I would be the eldest here at 18 years old, Your Grace.," Khanna replied.

"And I would be the youngest here, as I have only recently turned 15 years of age.," Baron added.

"I am about to turn 16 years old, Your Grace.," Sarai said.

"And I would also be 16 years of age, Your Majesty.," Hailfire said.

"Very well then. Your King and Queen have a mission for you. As you've surmised, the six of you are indeed strong and quite capable for your ages. But you are... inexperienced.," Berethon said.

"You all would be best served with some more experience in battle. Which is why you will all be enrolling at Beacon Academy in the Kingdom of Vale. It would do you some good to be around other fighting styles. Make some friends while you all are there, there is strength to be found in forging strong bonds with others. Even if they're with Humans, whom we still don't trust very much." Hyatan said.

"This will go towards our people's ultimate goal: Coexistence with both Humans and Faunus. The evil on the horizon is a threat towards everyone.," Berethon told them.

The dark elf teens nodded. Hyatan then turned towards Sybyrh.

"Sybyrh.," Hyatan began.

"Yes, Your Grace?," She asked kneeling.

Hyatan then turned to Lylah.

"You and.. my sister, here, General Lylah are to watch over them. Sybyrh, you will be entering the Academy as a new member of their faculty as a combat instructor. While my sister here will will be in charge of security for the school, and your aide or substitute when necessary.,"Hyatan replied.

Lylah looked towards Hyatan about to object when Hyatan looked at her.

"You needn't worry, Lylah. Raptaryn, Valvahdern, and Caliburn can handle your duties while you're in Vale. If something serious comes up, you can resume your duties. But isn't it about time you spent some quality time with your family?," Hyatan said.

Lylah couldn't argue with that and relented. She knelt towards her.

"If that is your wish... I accept, Your Grace.," Lylah answered.

"Excellent. Now, off you go. We will contact our friend about this personally at a later time.," Berethon told them.

The group then walked away to prepare for their journey to Vale. Once they were out of sight Berethon turned towards Hyatan.

Hyatan knowing what he was thinking, nodded.

"Valvahdern.," Berethon said addressing the elf in red armor.

"Yes, my liege?," Valvahdern asked.

"Open a communication Channel towards Beacon Academy's Headmaster. We have... some rather important business to discuss.," Berethon said.

Valvahdern nodded as he channeled magic power through his blade after sticking it into the ground. A visible screen appeared in front of them as Berethon cleared his throat and stood to his feet.

"Headmaster of Beacon Academy: Ozpin. We have some important business to discuss, my friend..," Berethon said as him and Hyatan began to discuss things with the man on the other side of the screen.

With Odyn and the other Elves....

Odyn was seen packing his belongings as he readied himself for the journey ahead. While getting ready, he came across the last letter he received from his childhood best friend.

"Odyn, thank you for your words of consolement. It.. means alot to me and I do hope we can see each other soon. I know it's only been a few weeks, but it feels like an eternity since we last spoke. I do hope you're wrong about my father as well. I want to see you so badly, but I am aware that we both share the burdens of leading our families someday.

Perhaps, when we have a moment free of our duties we can talk like we did when we made that promise. I hope you are doing well and please take care of yourself for me, my prince. I look forward to our next meeting face to face.

Your Fiancée, Weiss Schnee."

Odyn couldn't help but to smile when he looked over the letter. He stood to his feet after neatly folding the letter and placing it into his bag.

"Wait for me, Princess. I'm sure that we'll meet again soon...," Odyn thought.

The blue haired dark elf then walked  forward to join the others. Joining the group, Lylah then spoke.

"Is everyone accounted for?" She asked.

Sybryh then decided to do a roll call just to make sure.

"Baron Caldern."

The auburn haired dark elf then spoke.

"Here, vice commander!," He replied.

"Okay. Hailfire Caldern."

"Here as well, Commander!," She answered.

Sybyrh nodded before speaking again.

"Lady Khanna Branwen. "

"Yo.," She said grinning with a two fingered salute.

"Lord Roy."

"Present and accounted for, vice commander.," The spiky red haired elf answered.

"Lady Sarai."

"Present and ready. " She replied.

"And lastly... Lord Odyn.,"

"Right here and ready." He replied.

Lylah then spoke.

"It appears that everyone is here, Sybyrh. Shall we get going then?," Lylah added.

Sybyrh nodded as she and the other elves gathered into a circle. They began to chant in there native tongue as bright runic light surrounded them. The group of 8 dark elves then levitated into the air and took off in a burst towards Vale. Normally a journey to Vale which was on the Sanus continent would take about 6 months on foot, but with magic they could cut that time to a mere a few weeks.

Travel by air was so much faster anyways, especially if it was flight enhanced by elven magic.

Time skip: a few weeks later...

The group of elves had finally entered the airspace of where they were to go. Seeing the ground, the group landed a distance away from the gathered crowd so as to not draw attention to themselves. That is something they did not want.

"Remember my lords, no flying on your own towards Beacon.," Sybyrh started.

Baron was confused at this.

"Wait.. why can't we fly there again?," Baron asked.

"As Sybyrh was about to tell you... It would draw far too much attention. We already have enough negative attention on us as it is. Although we have been hidden from humans for the past 9 years, if they saw that... It wouldn't be pretty.," Khanna explained.

"Khanna is right, young Baron. That would be less than ideal. We  will need to be more tactful than that.," Lylah said.

Baron nodded in understanding.  Sybyrh and Laylah then turned as they began to walk away. Lylah received a hug from her daughter, Khanna, which she happily returned. In that moment, she wasn't the elven general, she was a normal mother.

"Take care, mom.," Khanna said.

Lylah smiled at her daughter as they stayed in their embrace for a long moment. She ran her hand through her daughter's hair as she replied.

"I will. You stay safe, my little firecracker.," Lylah replied with a smile before pulling back from the hug.

Lylah then joined Sybyrh as they walked off towards Beacon.

The group walked towards the center of the docks where a crowd of applicants waited. The elves were minding their own business when they heard a particular conversation nearby to them. Looking to their left, they saw two girls. One girl had short black spiky hair with crimson highlights, silver eyes, and was fair skinned. She had a red hood and matching cape, with a black shirt and dress, black stockings and matching boots. Her clothes same to have a theme: black and red. She also had a small badge or trinket of some sort attached to her hood and belt in the shape and likeness of a silver rose.

This girl was of course, Ruby Rose.

Next to her was a blond haired girl with lilac eyes, fair skin, an orange scarf around her neck, a brown jacket with a yellow undershirt that had her own symbol on it, a brown belt, black shorts, an orange stocking on her right leg with a lilac bandanna tied to it, brown boots, and brown fingerless gloves with yellow circle like wristlets on her arms. This was Yang Xiao Long, the half sister of Ruby.

"ooh, I'm so glad my baby sister gets to come to Beacon with me! You're going to be the talk of the school when you get there. You'll be the bees knees!," Yang said Squealing in excitement as she embaraced her younger half sister.

"Yang, cut it out! I don't want to be any kind of knees. I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees!," Ruby said pouting slightly.

Yang looked at her sister quizzically before allowing her to continue.

Ruby sighed.

"Look Yang, it makes me happy that you're excited. But.. I don't want anyone to think I'm special, just because I was moved up two whole years so I could attend Beacon.," Ruby explained.

"You are special Rubes. Can't hurt to think that once in awhile, right?," Yang said.

"I guess. But i just don't want to get any special treatment. I want to prove I belong at Beacon, that's all. Is that so much to ask?," Ruby retorted.

"No it isn't Ruby. I'm glad I get to go to beacon with you though. I just want people to see how proud i am of my baby sister.," Yang said.

Roy walked over and greeted them, being followed by the other elves.

"You two certainly seem excited.," Roy said.

This caused the sisters to turn towards the group. The elves who wore armor opted for for their regualr outfits that matched their armor's color palates.

Yang turned towards the group, simply observing them as Ruby made conversation with them.

"You guys don't look like you're from around here. Are you taking the entrance exam for Beacon too?," Ruby asked.

"As a matter of fact we are.," Khanna answered causing both sisters to look towards her.

For some reason, Khanna reminded ruby a bit of her sister, Yang. The obvious difference between them being how they dressed. This new girl certainly was just as pretty if not more than Yang, but she didn't show nearly as much skin as the blonde did.

"You could say we're new around here.," Sarai said.

Yang looked at the girl who spoke. Right away, she could tell that Sarai and Khanna were related as they shared some of the same facial features. There was also the fact that their hair was the same color, that was another clue.

"I take it the two of you are applying to Beacon as well?," Baron asked.

"Uh huh, we are! Um...," Ruby answered before trailing off.

"Something the matter?," Hailfire asked.

Ruby shook her head.

"No no! I uh... was just wondering what your names were?," Ruby replied in question.

"Oh is that all?," Khanna laughed before she smiled at the petite girl.

"My name is Khanna, nice to meet you two.," Khanna said introducing herself.

Yang raised an eyebrow at this.

"No last name?," Yang asked curiously.

"No, I have one. But saying it in public would cause some misunderstandings so I prefer to keep it a secret for now.," Khanna replied.

Roy stuck a hand out to shake Ruby's hand as he looked her in the eyes.

"Don't mind my cousin there. She has reasons for keeping her surname a secret. My name is Roy Albanar. I hope we can get along.," Roy said shaking Ruby's hand and introducing himself.

"Nice to meet you, Roy.," Ruby smiled in return.

"And my name is Sarai Albanar.," Sarai introduced herself.

"Baron. Baron Caldern.," Baron said.

"Name's Hailfire Caldern, but all my friends call me Hail for short. You can just call me Hail.," Hailfire said.

Finally Odyn spoke.

"And my name is Odyn Albanar. But just call me Odyn.," Odyn said.

"Khanna, Roy, Sarai, Hailfire, Baron, and Odyn.. It's nice to meet you all. My name is Ruby Rose, but just call me Ruby. And this is my sister, Yang Xiao Long.," Ruby said in reply.

Yang then spoke.

"Like my little sis said, my name is Yang. It's nice to meet you guys (looks at Baron and smirks), especially you handsome~," Yang said.

This caused Baron to slightly stagger as he wasn't used to that sort of attention and was confused.

"Uh.. n-nice to meet you too?," Baron said caught a bit off guard.

Hailfire sighed as she looked at Yang.

"Yang, please don't tease my brother too much okay?," Hailfire said with an exasperated sigh.

Yang raised her hands in defense as she responded back.

"Right right, sorry.," Yang said laughing slightly nervously.

A moment later the bullhead they were waiting on arrived, cutting off any further conversation they would've had due to the noise.

"We can continue our conversation on the way to Beacon.," Roy said.

The other teens nodded as they all boarded the aircraft with the rest of the crowd of potential students.

Time skip: a little while later aboard the Bullhead....

Ruby was seen to be looking out of the window with a bright smile on her face. She was excited.

"Look, Yang! I can see our house from here!," Ruby said excited.

The elves smiled at the excitable girl. She was a human, but she was friendly enough. Yang looked towards them and spoke, voicing a question she had on her mind ever since she and ruby met these guys.

"I hope you don't mind me asking this, but... where are you guys from anyways? I know myself and Rubes haven't been away from Patch much, but we've never seen anyone like you guys before.," Yang asked.

Sarai then looked to both Khanna and Odyn in question. Both nodded towards her, signaling that it was alright to tell Yang and Ruby. They figured ut couldn't hurt to tell them as the two sisters seemed to be friendly enough.

"Well... try not to be too shocked when I answer your question.," Sarai said.

" why would we be shocked?," Ruby asked with a visible question mark above her head.

"We came here from Solitas, believe it or not.," Sarai said.

This surprised the sisters as Yang was the first to speak after recovering from the initial shock of the news.

"Solitas? But isn't that like.. you know..," Yang replied in question.

"Way northeast of here? Yeah it is., " Sarai answered.

"Why would you come to Beacon, then? Wouldn't it have been better if you guys went to Atlas Academy instead?," Ruby asked.

Yang noticed the noticeable scowl on the faces of the dark elves at the mention of Atlas and quickly covered her sisters mouth to silence her.

"That's... something we do not wish to think about.," Odyn said.

"Ah, sorry about that she was just curious and..," Yang tried explaining before Khanna spoke.

"No no it's alright. You two didn't know. Let's just say... we don't really have the fondest memories of Atlas. So Beacon was really our only choice.," Khanna said.

"I see... Sorry If I brought up any bad memories for you all..," Ruby said slightly hanging her head.

Roy put his hand on top of Ruby's head and patted it as he smiled at her.

"Like my cousin said Ruby, you didn't know. So don't feel bad about it.," Roy said in encouragement.

Ruby offered a small smile towards the red haired elf in response.

"Thank you, Roy...," She said softly.

Roy grinned at her.

"No problem, Ruby.," He said in response.

Ruby looked towards Khanna.

"Um... Who was that lady with you earlier?," Ruby asked curiously.

"Lady?," Khanna asked.

Ruby nodded.

"Yeah! The really pretty one you were hugging earlier.," Ruby replied.

"Oh... her. That was... my mother.," Khanna admitted.

"Your mom?," Yang asked.

Khanna nodded.

"Yeah. Turns out she found some work nearby. Since I'll be in Beacon Academy as a student, she wanted to still be close by in case anything came up.," Khanna answered.

"Yeah, it'll be a big help if Aunt Lylah's nearby.," Sarai said.

That caught the sisters attention.

"Aunt?" They  thought.

"Weren't you paying attention earlier? Odyn, Roy, and Sarai are all my cousins.," Khanna explained.

They looked back and forth between Sarai and Khanna, realizing that she was right.. they were similar.

"Wow... so that's Beacon?," Ruby said looking out of the window.

The others followed her line of sight.

"I guess home really isn't that far from Beacon, huh?," Ruby said.

"Well Rubes, Beacon is home for the next 4 years.," Yang said.

Baron looked towards the back of the ship, noticing a certain blonde haired boy hunched over a trash can with a pale face.

"Guess the flight isn't for everybody.," Baron remarked.

"I've also been wondering something.," Odyn started causing the sisters to look at him. "How are the two of you sisters if your surnames are different? "

"Oh that's easy! We have the same dad..," Yang said before Ruby finished her thought.

"But both of our mothers were two different women. So we're technically half sisters.," Ruby said finishing Yang's thought.

"Don't tell me you're not at least familiar with that. Doesn't anything like that happen where you're from?" Yang said.

The elves looked at each other before Roy spoke.

"Actually... no. Nothing like that has ever occurred where we're from. So this is our first time even hearing of such a concept.," Roy answered.

The sisters just blinked half out of surprise, half out of confusion. These guys were.... sheltered to say the least. Before they could continue their conversation further a hologram of Glynda Goodwitch comes up and they all listen to what she has to say.

"You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world.," The hologram of Glynda said before disappearing.

Hailfire noticed something on Yang's shoe and it looked a lot like... throwup.

"Um... Yang, was it?," Hailfire asked.

Yang looked at the Auburn haired dark elf.

"Yeah, what's up?," Yang replied.

"Not to be "that" person, but uh... that's not what I think it is on your shoe; is it?," Hailfire said almost afraid to ask.

The ship is seen to be descending as they notice a large body of water.

"Well.. it was a nice view while it lasted.," Ruby said before noticing the blonde teen hunched over the trash can.

"I do wonder who we'll meet. I just hope they're better than Vomit Boy over there.," Ruby said.

Roy looked her with  deadpanned expression.

"😑 Really? You couldn't come up with something better, Ruby? Also, that's kinda rude ya'know..," Roy said.

Ruby laughed nervously and rubbed the back of her head.

"😅 heh heh heh, sorry that's the first thing I thought of. And I guess you're right, Roy.," Ruby said sweatdropping.

Back to Yang, she looked down and sure enough noticed the puke on her shoe.

"Wahh!! Gross, gross, gross, gross, gross, gross, gross, gross!" Yang said clearly disgusted.

She was near Ruby, who wanted nothing to do with the puke on her sister's shoe. The sister's unknowingly started chasing each other around in a hilarous display of zooming back and forth between the isles of seats. The elves couldn't help but to laugh and chuckle at the display.

The view then changes to several ships carrying students and docking at the entrance to the School. Immediately after one lands, a blonde haired boy rushed out of the ship and found a trash can so he could then lose his lunch.

Ruby, Yang, Odyn, Roy, Sarai, Khanna, Baron, and Hailfire exited the ship. They walked down a paved path alongside all of the other students leading up to the front of the school.

"Wow..." Both Ruby and Yang said in awe as they took in the sight of Beacon.

"The view from Vale's got nothin' on this!," Yang said.

"I'll admit, it certainly is impressive.," Hailfire said.

"Indeed. This is certainly quite the view.," Khanna said.

Ruby then gets so excited that she becomes starry eyed, transforming into a small floating chibi character.

"Ohmygosh, that kid's got a collapsible staff! And... ooh! That girl's got a freaking fire sword!," Ruby says excited.

She tries getting closer, only for Yang to pull her back by the hood.

"Ow! Owww!!!," Ruby said as she was getting choked slightly before Yang let go of her.

"Easy there, little sis. They're just Weapons.," Yang said smirking.

" 'Just weapons'? They're an extension of ourselves! They're part of us, only much cooler!" Ruby replied excited.

The elves raised an eyebrow at the peculiar behavior from Ruby. They'd never seen anyone so... enthusiastic about weapons before.

"You can swoon over your own weapon, can't you? Why don't you just do that? Aren't you happy with it?," Yang asked.

Ruby transforms her weapon into its scythe form, surprising the elves slightly. She strokes it like its her baby, further confusing the dsrk elves.

"Of course I'm happy with Crescent Rose! I just really like seeing new weapons, it's like meeting people just... better.," Ruby replied.

Yang then playfully pushes her sister's hood down over her face.

"Rubes, why don't you go try making some friends on your own?," Yang asked. "Like these guys."

Yang pointed to the elves behind them. Ruby pushed her hood off of her face as she answered her sister's question.

"But why would I do that when I have you guys?," Ruby asked.

She turns towards the elves and whispers to them.

"Would you guys mind looking after my sis for awhile?," She asked whispering.

Khanna nodded.

"No problem. She seems nice, we'll stick with her.," Khanna replied.

"Great, thanks a bunch I owe you guys one.," She whispered back.

"Well... uh... (suddenly a group of other students surround Yang and they all dash down the road) Actually, my friends are already here. So I gotta go catch up. 'Kay. See ya, bye!," Yang said dashing with the others down the road. "See ya, handsome~"

Ruby is then left dizzy and spinning from her sister's sudden exit and she isn't looking where she's going.

"Wait, where are you going?! Are we supposed to go to our dorms now? Where are our dorms? Do we even have dorms?," Ruby asked before stopping still reeling from dizziness. " I don't know..  what I'm doing!,"

The elves notice the large cart of luggage behind her as Odyn and Roy go to catch Ruby.

"Not good! Someone catch her!" Odyn said.

They go to catch her, but it's too late. Ruby has already crashed into a certain silver haired girl's luggage, sending cases flying. She looks up to see someone standing over her, clearly not amused.

Odyn stops as his eyes widened upon seeing the silver haired girl. It... was... her. His childhood friend was right in front of him.

"It's... her...," He thought.

Roy saw how his brother responded upon seeing the silver haired girl. He looked at him.

"That's her, your childhood friend, and Fiancée,  isn't it?," Roy asked silently.

Odyn nodded.

The other elves recognized this and knew they'd have to be very careful about what they said. The two hadn't seen each other since they were children, after all.

"What are you doing?!,"Weiss asked.

Ruby gets up on her hands and quickly apologized.

"Uh, sorry!," Ruby said. "I didn't mean to knock your stuff over, honest!"

"Sorry?! Do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused? " Weiss asked angered.

Ruby is seen holding a case of Dust.

"Uhh....," Ruby replied before was snatches the Dust case from her.

"Give me that!," She said snatching the dust case from Ruby.

She opens it to revealing its twinkling sounding and sparkling contents.

"What are you? Brain dead? Dust! Fire, Water, Lightning, Energy! This is Dust! Mined and purified from the Schnee Quarry!," Weiss said lecturing the girl.

"Uuuhhh..." Ruby said not sure what to say.

"You getting this? Any of it sinking in yet?," Weiss asked.

"I.. I.. know!," Ruby said coughing and sniffling as Dust particles were flying into her face.

Odyn snapped out of his shock, he knew something bad was bound to happen by the way Ruby was coughing and sniffling.

"Oh boy...(looks to Roy) Roy, make sure to help Ruby.," Odyn said.

Roy nodded.

"Are you even listening to me? Any of this making sense to you yet? What do you have to say for yourself?," Weiss asked.

Odyn then got in front of Weiss as he warned her.

"Get down, quick!" He warned.

Weiss did as instructed.

"Ah.. Ah... AHCHOO!!!!,"Ruby sneezed.

Ruby, who had been receiving more and more Dust to her face, finally sneezes, which erupts into a full-blown explosion of flame, snowflakes, and electricity right onto Odyn who shielded Weiss from the impact. The bottle Weiss had been holding then flies out of her hand and right at the feet of Blake Belladonna who was nearby.

She picked it up and noticed the Schnee Dust Company Logo on the side of it as she picks it up while reading a book before look on at the scene.

Once the smoke clears, Weiss's eyes widened.

"Oh my oum! Are you alright?!," Weiss asked in concern.

Odyn coughed from the dust before grinning at her.

"Yeah... I'm fine, nothing I can't handle. More importantly,  are you okay?," He replied.

She wasn't sure why, but those eyes of his... they seemed... familiar. And why... why was her heart beating so fast?!

"Ugh, you dolt! You're lucky this handsome young man protected us both! This was exactly the thing I was talking about!," Weiss said angered at the girl.

"I'm really, really sorry!," Ruby said panicked.

"What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to ve attending Beacon?," Weiss asked berating her.

"Well I-I uh...," Ruby tried answering before Weiss sounded off on her again.

"This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparring and practice, you know! We're here to fight monsters, so... watch where you're going!," Weiss barked at her.

"Geez, I said I was sorry princess!," Ruby snapped.

This just triggered Weiss even more.

"You... don't get to call me that! There's only one person I'll ever allow to call me that name!," Weiss snapped back.

"Hey, listen lady! The girl said she was sorry, why don't you just-," Roy started arguing before Odyn cut him off.

"Roy, enough. And you too, princess. I don't remember you being this stuck up before. What happened to you?," Odyn said.

Weiss's eyes widened again, she recognized the name this boy called her.

"Princess? Only one person ever called me that...," She said looking towards Odyn.

She began to get teary eyed as she looked towards the boy. This surprised Ruby as she looked between the two.

"Is it... really you? ... Odyn?," She asked tearing up.

The boy smiled at her.

"Hey there, Weiss. It's been awhile hasn't it?," Odyn said.

"Oh my oum... It really is you...,"Weiss said holding her hands up to her mouth. "It's only been.. 9 years, jerk..."

The two looked at each other before a third voice interrupted their little moment.

"It's heiress, actually.," Blake said as she enters the conversation holding the dust vial in her hand. "Weiss Schnee , heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world."

"Finally! Some recognition!," Weiss said.

"The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners.," Blake said.

"Wha- How dare- The nerve of... Ugh!" Weiss huffed in annoyance.

Ruby chuckles while weiss gets angry as she gets up in Blake's face and takes the bottle from her, walking off in a huff as her helpers gather the luggage and follow. Odyn sighs, knowing that he'd have to talk to Weiss later to smooth things out.

"I promise  I'll make this up to you!" Ruby calls after her before sighing dejectedly. "I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day... So, what's...,"

Ruby turns around to see that Blake is now gone already. She sighs again before plopping onto the ground, back first.

"Welcome to Beacon...," Ruby sighs disappointed.

A sahdow looms over her as Odyn talks to her before him and the elves all lay on the ground next to her.

"Don't feel too bad about it, Ruby. I'll... have a talk with Weiss later.," Odyn said. "So this is the view from the ground... kinda nice."

"I agree." Roy added.

"Same. Has a certain charm to it.," Hailfire said.

"I could get used to it." Sarai said.

"It's pretty comfy down here once you get used to it." Khanna added.

"I know, right? And people say it's impossible to sleep on the ground, not true." Baron said.

Ruby looked at them and couldn't help but to snort at what they were doing.

"You guys dont have to.. *snort* You guys are so weird, ha ha ha!," Ruby laughed.

"Want to get up, Ruby?," Roy asked.

"Yeah, lets.," Ruby replied.

A certsin blonde came over.

"Hi, I'm Jaune.," Jaune said.

"Wait a sec.. aren't you... the guy that threw up on the ship?," Ruby asked.

Jaune laughed nervously.

"Y-Yeah, that's me.," He laughed.

"We should get going. Odyn, i trust you'll smooth things over with Weiss later?," Khanna said.

Odyn nodded.

"Yeah.. and I can already tell that this... won't be easy.," He said sighing.

Small timeskip: Inside of Beacon...

Inside of Beacon's walls are filled with scenic trees, arching architecture, and a winding road alongside a river, down which Ruby, Jaune, Hailfire, Baron, Roy, Sarai, Khanna, and Odyn are seen to be walking.

They're seen chatting about something as the camera zooms into their perspective.

"Look... All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on!," Jaune said shrugging.

Ruby is seen laughing before she responds.

"No no, I believe you Jaune. Vomit Boy was just the first thing I could think of.," Ruby said laughing.

"Oh yeah? What if I called you crater face then?,"Jaune asked in response.

"H-Hey, that explosion was an accident!," Ruby said defensively.

"Told you it was rude.," Roy said.

Ruby made a pouty face at this.

"Well, the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue - ladies love it! ," Jaune said attempting to be suave.

Ruby looked at him skeptically.

"Do they though?," Ruby asked skeptically.

"They will! Well, I-I hope they will. My mom always says that... Never mind.," Jaune said sighing.

Ruby then looked towards Odyn who appeared to be in thought.

"I've been wondering about something, Odyn...," She said gaining his attention.

"Sure.," he said.

"You... well, uh... it seemed like you know Weiss. What's the story there?," Ruby asked.

Jaune also listened in.

"Ah, you picked up on that. To answer your question, Ruby: Yeah, I've actually known Weiss for a long time. I've known her since we were children, believe it or not.," Odyn said.

"You've.. known each other for that long?," Ruby asked.

Odyn nodded.

"Yeah. We are childhood friends after all.," He said.

"Wait wait wait... you're childhood friends with THE Weiss Schnee?," Ruby asked.

Odyn nodded.

Khanna smirked.

"Oh my cousin was more than just childhood friends with that heiress, they were pretty close as kids.," Khanna said slyly.

Ruby seemed satisfied and didn't press Odyn about his relationship with the Schnee any further. She figured that wasn't her business anyways.

"So.. uh.. I got this thing!," Ruby said as she unfolds her weapon into its Scythe form and stabs the pole into the ground.

"Whoa! I-Is that a Scythe?!," Jaune asked surprised.

Ruby nodded.

" It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle! " She said proudly.

The blonde seemed confused.

"A wha..?," He asked confused.

"It's a gun, Jaune. A really big gun.," Khanna said explaining as Ruby cocks it and smiles.

"Oh. That's really cool!," Jaune said.

"So what do you have?," Ruby asked.

Jaune unsheathed a sword.

"Oh! I uh... have this sword!," He replied.

"Ooohhh!," Ruby said in response.

"Yeah, and I've got a shield, too!," He said raising the scabbard as the metal expanded into his defense.

Ruby touches the shield slightly, making Jaune fumble around with it.

"So... what do they do?," she asks curiously.

Jaune is seen to be fumbling with the shield as it retracts off his arm, expands, and retracts again before putting it back in place and finally shrinking it down for good, placing it on his belt.

"The shield shrinks and changes sizes. So... when I get tired I can... just.. put it away." Jaune explained.

Ruby tilted her head in confusion as she then voiced her opinion.

"But... wouldn't it just weigh the same?," she asked confused.

"Yeah... it does..," He said dejectedly.

Ruby giggled and spoke up again.

" Well, I'm kind of a dork when it comes to weapons, sooo... I guess I did go a little overboard when designing it.," Ruby replied.

Jaune's eyes widened in surprise.

"You made that?!," He asked in surprise.

"Of course! All students at Signal forge their own weapons! Didn't you make yours?" Ruby responded.

Jaune shook his head.

"No. It's a hand-me-down. My Great-Great-Grandfather used it to fight in the war.," Jaune said.

"Sounds more like a family heirloom to me! Well, I like it! Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days.," Ruby said as she briefly laughed.

Jaune sheathed his sword and smiled.

"Yeah, the classics...," He said.

Ruby then looked towards the elves.

"What about you guys? What kind of weapons do you have?," Ruby asked.

Khanna went first.

"Well... I have a war hammer that can also function as a laser rifle. Here, let me show you!," Khanna then brought out her hammer.

She twisted the handle slightly, causing the hammerhead to open up and turn into a barrel of a gun.

"Oh, wow!," Ruby said marveling at the weapon.

Khanna twisted the handle again, causing the weapon to return to its orginal form.

"Do you have a name for it?," Ruby asked.

Khanna raised an eyebrow in question.

"A name huh?," Khanna replied. " If I had to give it a name... Cathraylboldr I guess."

Ruby blinked as she had no idea what that even meant.

"I have... absolutely no idea what that means, but that's... unique. I like it.," Ruby said. "What about the rest of you guys?"

Each of the elves took turns showing Ruby and Jaune what their weapons were and what they did. Ruby was starry eyed the whole time as the weaponry ranged from twin blades able to turn into small machine guns (Baron) to a spiked mace and shield able to turn into a morning star with shot gun rounds (Hailfire) to lightning blades (Roy) and Blades capable of channeling aura through them (Sarai). Finally, it came to Odyn and Ruby was curious to see what his weapon could do.

"What does your weapon do, Odyn?," Ruby asked excited.

Odyn chuckled and unsheathed his blade.

"This is my weapon, ArdynFangh. It actually has 3 abilities, believe it or not.," Odyn explained.

"It has 3 abilities?," Ruby asked.

He nodded.

"Yeah. It can utilize Fire Dust and Ice Dust. The 3rd ability is a secret though. It's not something I wish to divulge just willy nilly.," He said.

Ruby was slightly disappointed that she couldn't see the 3rd ability, but she understood why.

"So... in other words..," Ruby started.

"It's a trump card for you? Like an ultimate attack?," Jaune asked finishing Ruby's thought.

"Uhh... yeah, that's exactly it.," Odyn said a little surprised these two figured it out so quickly.

"Not going to lie.. That's pretty awesome.," Jaune said.

"Yeah, kinda wish my weapon had some kind secret ability like that...," Ruby remarked.

She then looked towards the elves again.

"Can I ask you guys something?," Ruby asked.

"Sure, go ahead Ruby.," Sarai answered.

"Why.. did you guys help me back there in the courtyard?," Ruby asked curious.

"Why? Hm... I suppose it just.. felt like that was the right thing to do at the time.," Roy answered.

"Helping someone who's in trouble or need is always the right thing to do.," Baron said.

"At least, that's what we were taught anyways.," Hailfire said.

"Besides... 'Strangers' are just friends you haven't met yet.," Khanna said.

"You know, my mom always says that too. Strange coincidence.," Jaune said.

Ruby smiled and then looks around.

"By the way, where are we going anyways?," Ruby asked.

"Oh! I don't know! I was just following you guys!  Y-You think there might be a directory? Maybe a food court? Some sort of recognizable landmark? Is, uh... Is that a 'no'?," Jaune replied noticing Ruby shake her head.

"That's definitely a 'no', Jaune.," Ruby laughed.

Khanna caught there attention by speaking up.

"Relax you two, that's where we come in.," Khanna said. "By the way... isn't that where we're supposed to go?"

Khanna pointed towards a certain building where people gathered as they were seen walking into it.

"I'd say... Yeah?," Ruby said.

The group then walked towards the building where students were walking to enter.

Small time skip: Auditorium...

The group of 8 teenagers then enter the Auditorium that is absolutely packed with people. Ruby then spots her sister, Yang waving over to her. It seemed like she saved some seats for Ruby and her friends.

"Ruby! Over here! I saved you guys some spots!," Yang said waving to her sister.

She turned to Jaune.

"Hey Jaune, I-I gotta go, see ya after the ceremony!," She said darting off.

The elves waved to him as the followed the petite girl.

"(Laughs) We'll see you around after the ceremony, Jaune.," Khanna said.

"We'll catch you later, it was nice meeting you, Jaune!," Sarai said.

Jaune was seen reaching out but to no avail, they'd left to follow ruby.

"Bye..! Hey, wait! (Sighs) Ah man, now where am I supposed to find a nice, quirky girl to talk to?!," He said sighing in defeat.

He walks away as the camera reveals Pyrrha Nikos, standing behind him with her hands on her hips as she watches him walk away from her.

Yang is seen with her arms crossed as she smiled slyly at her younger sister.

"So little sis, how's your first day going?," Yang asked.

"Oh, you mean since you ditched me and I literally exploded?!,"Ruby answered.

"Yikes, meltdown already Rubes?," Yang replied.

"You have no idea...," The elves all collectively thought.

"No, I literally exploded a hole in front of the school! And there was some fire, and I think some ice...? " Ruby said trying to remember exactly.

"Are you being sarcastic?," Yang asked.

"Oh, you wish she was.," Khanna laughed slightly.

The elves sat down next to them as Ruby scoffs before the camera pans to reveal Weiss right next to her.

" I wish! I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage, and then she yelled at me, and then I sneezed, and then I exploded, and then she yelled at me again, and I felt really, really bad, and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me!," Ruby said annoyed.

Odyn looked at the girl.

"Careful what you say Ruby, that 'crabby girl' you mentioned is a dear friend of mine. Also... uh... she's right next to you.," Odyn said.

Ruby heard Odyn's warning too late unfortunately.

"You!," Weiss said angered.

Ruby quickly leaps into her sister's arms again in fright.

"Oh Oum, it's happening again!," Ruby said in fright.

"You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of a cliff! If your friend hadn't been there to protect us, who knows what could've happened!," Weiss snapped.

Yang deadpanned.

"Oh my oum, you really did explode.," Yang said with a deadpan expression.

Weiss would've lectured her further if her eyes didn't lock with Odyn's. She felt the tears start to come again, it had been 9 years since she saw him.

"O-Odyn...," Weiss said.

"Princess.," He said.

Yang looked between the two confused.

Odyn got up and took Weiss's wrist.

"Could you guys.. excuse us for a few moments? I need to talk to Weiss real quick.," Odyn said.

"Uh... sure?," Yang said confused.

"Great, thanks! Come on, princess.," Odyn said dragging weiss away with him.

"Odyn, wait I- wahh!," Weiss yelped in surprise as she was yanked away by the dark elf.

The sisters blinked before Yang spoke up.

"Someone wanna tell me what the heck just happened?," Yang asked.

Khanna then spoke up.

"Sure thing Yang. You see, it's like this...," Khanna started as she began to explain what happened so far and the odd connection between Odyn and the Schnee heiress.

With Odyn and Weiss...

The two remained in the auditorium, just away from the others.

"Odyn, what was that for?! I was just about to lecture that girl.," Weiss asked slightly upset.

Odyn sighed.

"That's the thing, Weiss.. she didn't mean to upset you. And you didn't used to be this way... what happened to you?," Odyn replied.

Weiss sighed. Anyone else she would have given them an earful, but this was Odyn.. her childhood friend and.. her Fiancée.. She just couldn't stay mad at him. She calmed herself and answered the question.

"Alot... happened, Odyn.. And none of it was good. After Grandfather died.. everything went south for us as a family..," Weiss said.

Odyn lifted her chin so her eyes looked into his.

"Let me guess: Your father's responsible for your change of personality,  isn't he?," Odyn said.

Weiss nodded as tears began to well up in her eyes.

"It... was.. horrible, Odyn! He... He even told me to forget about my friendship with you! But.. I.. I couldn't,  I just couldn't!," Weiss told him. "That man wasn't the start of my family and I refuse to let him be the end of it either!"

She sniffled as Odyn the wrapped his arms around her, hugging his friend. He sighed.

"It seems... I'm not the only one who suffered these last 9 years then. It's alright, princess. I'm not going anywhere. I know the old you is still in there somewhere. Just talk to me any time you feel upset or overwhelmed, okay?," He told the girl as he stroked her hair gently.

Weiss pulled away from the embrace they shared, odyn wiping away the tears from her face.

"T-Thank you for that..," She told him.

He smiled at her.

"You're welcome, princess.," Odyn said back.

"I'll... try and be nicer to her, for.. your sake.," Weiss told him.

"Atta girl. Let's get back to the others. Hopefully, Khanna hasn't told those girls too much of our relationship.," Odyn chuckled.

"Wait.. Khanna's here?," Weiss asked.

Odyn nodded.

"Yeah, she is. But you'll have plenty of time to catch up with her later. Come on.," Odyn said as Weiss walked back alongside him.

Time skip: Back with the others a few minutes later....

Odyn and weiss had just returned to the others and sat down.

"Weiss, right?," Yang asked.

"Yes?," Weiss asked.

"Look... it seems that you and Rubes just got off on the wrong foot. Why don't you start over and try and be friends?," Yang said.

Weiss sighed, remembering Odyn's words to her. She would at least try.

"Very well then.," Weiss said.

Ruby extended a hand towards Weiss.

"Great Idea, sis! (She clears her throat) Hello there, Weiss! I'm Ruby! Wanna hang out? We go shopping for some school supplies?" Ruby said in greeting.

"Yeah! And while we're at it we can paint our nails and talk about cute boys! Like tall, blonde, and scraggly over there!," Weiss said seeming enthusiastic.

Odyn slapped his hand to his forehead. This would be harder than he thought, wouldn't it?

"Wow, really?!," Ruby asked excited.

"No.," Weiss said glaring.

Inwardly Weiss was palming her forehead, she just did the opposite of what she meant to. And right after talking to Odyn, too! This would be more difficult then she thought...

The teens attention is then drawn towards the stage, where Ozpin, Glynda, and a teacher most students didn't recognize stood.. no make that two teachers they weren't familiar with.

" I'll... keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction."

The students then started to whisper among themselves before Ozpin continues.

"You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.," Ozpin said finishing his speech.

Glynda then steps up to speak as Ozpin leaves the stage.

"You will gather in the ballroom tonight; tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed.," Glynda said.

The camera switched back to the teens.

"He.. seemed... kinda "off"." Yang said.

Jaune then gets close to Weiss, trying to impress her.

"I'm a natural blonde, you know.," Jaune said.

"Whoa there, back up Jaune. I... don't think Weiss really wants to talk right now.," Odyn said.

This confused Jaune as Weiss smacked her face with her hand in exasperation.

"Just.. trust me on this Jaune.," Odyn said.

Jaune shrugged before believing Odyn.

"Well.. okay if you say so, Odyn.," Jaune said walking away.

Weiss then looked to Odyn with a relieved smile.

He then looked towards her.

"Wanna talk, princess?," He asked.

She sighed and then smiled. It'd been awhile since they actually got to talk with each other. The girl nodded.

"Yeah.. I suppose it couldn't hurt. We have quite a bit to catch up on, don't we?," Weiss answered.

Odyn just smiled at her as the camera then transitions to the ball room.

Time skip: evening...

The first night at Beacon, students are splayed out in sleeping bags. Ruby, in her pajamas and with a sleeping mask around her head, is writing in a journal when Yang appears next to her also in pajamas.

Not far from them are the elves. Roy was to be a simple blue tank top with blue pajama pants and gray socks. Ruby couldn't help but to look over at him or more specifically, at his weapon. When the teen looked back at her, she would immediately look down and continue writing. The teen knew Ruby was watching him, but it didn't bother him. He figured she was just curious about him.

"It's like a giant slumber party!," Yang said crashing next to her sister.

"Yeah.. I don't think dad would approve of all the boys though.," Ruby said.

"I know I sure do!," Yang said purring like a cat as she watched all of the shirtless teenaged boys walk by.

Then... Jaune, dressed in feetie pajamas as he waved at her causing the blonde to grown in disgust. Yang then turns her attention back to Ruby.

"What's that?," Yang asked.

"Oh, this? I'm just writing a letter back to the gang at signal. I did promise I would tell them all about Beacon and how things are going after all.," Ruby answered.

"Aw, that's so cuuuute!," Yang said cooing at her sister before being knocked back by a pillow launched at her face.

"Shut up! I didn't get to take my friends with me to school! It's weird not knowing anyone here!," Ruby said embarrassed.

Yang just looked at Ruby before deadpanning.

"What about... Jaune? He's nice.. and funny! And then there are those other guys you met! Khanna, Sarai, Baron, Hailfire, Odyn, and Roy... they all seem really nice and really cool too.," Yang said.

"I suppose. They are pretty cool, e-especially Roy...," Ruby said.

Yang smirked slyly at Ruby.

"Oh? Got a thing for Roy there, Rubes?~," Yang asked smirking.

Ruby quickly covered her mouth in a panic.

"Y-Yang! Quiet or he'll hear you!," Ruby said embarrassed.

"Alright, Alright Rubes I'll leave you and your boyfriend alone.," Yang said smirking slyly.

Ruby blushed even more.

"Y-Yang! I told you, I-It's not like that between us!," Ruby said embarrassed.

Truthfully, Ruby wqs just grateful to Roy for helping her out on her first day so far. Just because he was nice to her and she felt grateful to him, it didn't automatically mean he was her freaking boyfriend! Sometimes Yang just needed to lay off playing matchmaker in her head. At least, that was Ruby's opinion.

"I'm pretty sure Weiss counts as a negative friend, back to square one...," Ruby sighed.

"Rubes, There's no such thing as a negative friend. You just made a few friends and one enemy!," Yang said before getting hit with another pillow. This pillow looking like a dog.

Yang continued.

"Look, it's only been 1 day. Trust me; You've got friends all around you, you just haven't met them yet!," Yang said finishing her point.

Meanwhile with Odyn and Weiss...

Weiss had finished explaining to Odyn what had happened over the last 9 years, since he'd moved away. Needless to say, internally, he was furious at Weiss's father for the way he treated his own daughter.

This caused Odyn to hug Weiss, much to her surprise as he spoke to her.

"That's.. not right what he did to you. I promise, princess, Neither my people or myself will ever treat you in such a rude and dismissive way. Even if the world is against you, I'll still be here by your side. You can count on that.," Odyn told her.

Weiss couldn't help but to blush at his words before offering a small smile.

"T-Thank you, O-Odyn... I.. I don't know what I'd do without you. Your letter is what kept me sane all these years.," Weiss said.

Odyn smiled at the girl before lifting her chin so she could look into his eyes.

"Of course. What kind of Fiancée would I be if I wasn't there for you when you needed me most?" He replied.

Weiss fidgeted before looking away.

"There you go with that name again... But as long as you're the only one calling me that, I suppose it's alright.," Weiss said with her face flushed a tinge of pink.

Weiss looked towards the group of elves and noticed Ruby, the girl, she argued with before looking at Roy.

"So... Roy's your brother, is he?," She asked.

"Yeah. The red hair I think is from my Father's side of the family.," Odyn answered.

She nodded, satisfied with that answer.

"So then... who are the others in that group, aside from Khanna and your sister?," Weiss asked.

"Ah yeah. (Points to the caldern siblings) Those two are friends of the Family, Hailfire and her younger brother Baron. (Points to Roy) And then as I explained: that is my younger brother, Roy. He's been the closest one to me aside from Sarai, ever since... my other siblings and cousins passed away...," Odyn said sadly.

Weiss was surprised.

"You.. had other siblings and cousins?," Weiss asked not expecting that answer.

Odyn nodded.

"Yeah...," He said somberly.

"What happened to them?," Weiss asked.

"They... They were all killed. Murdered in cold blood by... Atlas military officials,  more than likely nobles who saw us as a scourge to them.," Odyn said.

"What... w-why?," Weiss asked in concern.

Odyn sighed as he then looked to his friend.

"When... you have nothing but hatred in your heart for others around you..  You'd be surprised what people are capable of, princess.  Those monsters even had the gall to parade my.. family's corpses through the streets! As if they'd won some great victory... all the while... elven blood that they had spilled was crying out for justice to be done...," Odyn said balling his hands into fists.

Weiss then cupped his face as she looked at him in the eyes.

"Not all humans are like that. Do you think of me in that way?," She asked.

"No, of course I don't. You're my friend.," He said.

Weiss smiled at him and leaned her head against his.

"Then please... at least give us humans a chance. Give me a chance to make things right. The way people in my hometown treated you... it wasn't right. I may not be able to erase your hatred of humans completely, but.. at least (looks at his scars on his chest, torso, arms, and face) give me the chance... to heal these wounds.," Weiss said.

Odyn sighed and smiled at her.

"Whatever you say, princess...," Odyn said.

Back with the Rose/ Xiao Long sisters...

They notice a candle being lit nearby with Blake Belladonna, (the girl from earlier that day) leaning against a wall and reading a book.

"That girl..." Ruby said in thought.

"You know her, Rubes?," Yang asked.

"Not really. She saw what happened this morning with Weiss, but she left before I could say anything to her." Ruby replied.

"Well, no time like the present then!," Yang said grabbing Ruby's wrist and and dragging her off with her.

"Wait, Yang! What are you doing?!," Ruby asked panicked.

Blake looks over her book to see Ruby unsuccessfully struggling against Yang's grip as she leads her sister over to Blake's spot before letting go.

"Hel-looooo! I believe you two may know each other?," Yang said in a singing voice.

Blake raised an eyebrow, curious as to what these girls were doing over here.

"Aren't you... that girl that exploded?," Blake asked.

"Uh, yeah! My name's Ruby! But you can just call me Crater... (she smiles embarrassed) Actually, you can just call me Ruby. ," Ruby said.

Blake looks back to her book.

"Okay.," She said going back to her book.

Yang is seen whispering to Ruby.

"What are you doing?," Yang whispered.

"I don't know, help me!," Ruby whispered back.

"So... uh.. what's your name?," Yang asked.

"Blake.," the girl said sighing as she was distracted from her book yet again.

"Well, blake...I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister! Ilike your bow!," Yang said.

"Thanks!," Blake said smiling but clearly irritated.

"It um.. goes great with your...pajamas!," Yang said.

"Right...," Blake said getting irritated again.

Ruby is seen to be laughing uncomfortably as Yang continued to talk.

"Nice night, don't you think?," Yang asked.

"Yes.. It's lovely. Almost as lovely as this book (the sisters stare) that I will continue to read as soon as you both leave!," Blake said irritated.

"(Turns to Ruby) Yeah.. this girl's a lost cause.," Yang said.

"What's it about?," Ruby asked Blake.

Blake was a little surprised tgat Ruby took an interest in her book.

"Huh?," Blake asked surprised.

"Your book, what's it about?," Ruby asked. "Does it have a name?"

"Oh. I-It's about a man with two souls, each fighting for control over his body.," Blake answered.

"Oh yeah, that's lovely! Real original there...," Yang said sarcastically.

"I love books. Yang used to read to me every night before bed. Stories of heroes and monsters... They're one of the reasons I want to be a Huntress!" Ruby said smiling.

"And why is that? Hoping you'll love happily ever after?," Blake said laughing a bit.

Yang smirked.

"😏Oh she's more than hoping... particularly when it comes to a certain guy she's had her eye on.," Yang said with a sly smile.

"Y-Yang! I keep telling you it isn't like that between us!," Ruby said embarrassed and blushing.

Blake raised an eybrow at this.

"A-Anyways.. I'm hoping we all will. As a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books... Someone who fought for what was right, and protected people who couldn't protect themselves!," Ruby told Blake.

"That's... pretty ambitious for a child. Unfortunately,  the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale.," Blake said with her smile turning into a frown.

"Well, that's why we're here! To make it better.," Ruby answered confidently.

"I'm so proud of my baby sister!," Yang said hugging her in the air.

Ruby is seen kicking out.

"Yang, please cut it out!," Ruby said embarrassed at her sister's antics.

This divulges into a rather forced sisterly bonding, resulting in a small dust cloud of flying limbs and flying stars.

Blake laughs slightly as she speaks but is interrupted.

"Well, Ruby, Yang, it's a pleasure to ha-," Blake said as she's interrupted by a certain annoyed heiress storming over to them.

Yang traps Ruby's leg as they look up to see the annoyed heiress. Odyn was seen trying to disuade was from being too loud.

"What in the world is going on over here?! Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep?," Weiss said annoyed.

"Um.. Weiss please calm down.," Odyn tried warning her.

"No! I will not be calm, these... ruffians are interrupting some of us trying to sleep!," Weiss said annoyed.

"I'm aware of that, Weiss. But.. you do realize that Khanna is nearby right?," Odyn pleaded.

Weiss turns and Yang does too as they then lock eyes and point towards each other.

"Oh, not you again!" Weiss and Yang both say at the sight of each other.

Odyn just smacks his forehead with his hand and rubs his temples in annoyance.

"🤦‍♂️ I tried warning her..." Odyn thought facepalming himself.

"Shh! Guys, she's right! People are trying to sleep!" Ruby said.

Weiss turns towards her.

"Oh so now you're on my side!," Weiss said a bit offended.

"What do you mean? I was always on your side.," Ruby replied.

"Yeah, what's your problem with my sister? She's only trying to be nice!," Yang snapped back at Weiss.

"She's a hazard to my health!," Weiss argued.

Blake rolls her eyes and is about to blow out the candle when she see someone get up near them. She noticed that it was Khanna and she was NOT happy.

Before Yang and Weiss could argue further, they felt a very menacing aura behind them and two hands grasp their shoulders.

"Ladies... Mind telling me why you're so loud tonight?," Khanna said smiling with a shadow over her eyes.

Weiss was sweating profusely as she knew what kind of tember Khanna had, Yang however had no idea what she was in for.

"K-Khanna I-I can explain!," Weiss said nervous.

"I bet you can explain, Weiss. Here's an idea: Why don't the three of us have a little chat and get to the bottom of why you're so loud, eh?," Khanna said still smiling.

"Oh boy... 😅 sorry... Weiss...," Odyn said silently in apology.

"Yeah, we can why don't you-," Yang stsrted but was interrupted by Khanna smiling at her.

"I never said you could talk yet, Yang. The two of you come with me, yeah?," Khanna said roughly dragging the two girls by the ear.

"😅 are... they going to be okay?," Ruby asked sweatdropping.

"😅 um... who knows? It's Khanna so I don't think they'll be getting off lightly with this one...," Roy said laughing a little nervously.

"😅 hopefully she's not too rough on them?," Sarai said sweatdropping.

"I... wouldn't count on it, Sarai.," Baron said.

"Yeah... you know how annoyed Sarai can get when her sleep is interrupted.. ha ha," Hailfire said also laughing nervously and sweatdropping.

Blake couldn't help but to feel sorry for the two. But whatever happened was their fault.

The last scene is of Weiss and Yang's terrified faces as their dragged away by an angry Khanna who is still smiling.

The scene then fades to black.

To be continued...

Ending theme:

Ending: Reincarnated as a Sword ending 1

Visuals: Replace Fran with Weiss in her home. Weiss then looks skyward and runs across a field before stopping and seeing Odyn as a child. The children stare at each other before it transitions to them as adults(young adults/teenagers) running towards each other from different perspectives. The song ends as the two are seen to be walking towards each other with Odyn smiling and reaching out his hand towards Weiss. Weiss turns away and blushes for a second before accepting the hand. The two hold hands as they walk towards the distance in a freeze frame.

Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed the chapter! As you can see, I made Weiss's personality a little bit different. She'll still be somewhat like she was in volume one of the original cannon story, but different at the same time. This is due to Odyn's influence on her as a kid. He had a profound impact on her and.. well they are fiancée's in this story so she would naturally be a little different.

I thought it would be better to give a reason as to why Odyn and Khanna don't have more siblings than they do as I really didn't give a reason as to why in the other story. I've heard from someone that Ruby should fall in love with Roy because it's a little different, so i think I'll stick with that pairing. Maybe you guys can help me with Yang's pairing though:

Who should Yang fall in love with?

1. Baron

2. Giblet

3. Shallot

4. Beat

5. Daikon

6. Valvahdern

7. Zero

8. Cardin

9. Yatsuhashi

10. Other (write in male character suggestion)

Feel free to leave a comment on who you think Yang should fall in love with in this story. This chapter was just establishing the bond between Odyn and Weiss mainly. They won't become an official couple until later. It's a bit early in the story for that to happen. As for Roy x Ruby, I'll develop that one as the story continues along. Anyways that's  all for now! I'll see you guys in the next update!
