Flame and Crimson: OC x Ruby (DBXV x RWBY)

Hey everyone, Novaflame6_Badal here. So Not sure much of anyone will read this story cuz they may think it's boring, so I'll just decide the pairings for myself. There will be a few more characters joining the story as you'll see soon. They're not just for pairing purposes, they'll have a legitimate reason to be there.

As for Pairings: I think the best option for Weiss would be to end up with Daikon. As for the others here's what I was thinking: Odyn/ Ruby, Roy/Yang, Baron/Flare, Jaune/Pyrrha. Shallot/Hailfire, Kanna/Mercury.

If you notice how Jaune has 2 options, don't worry about it. That will sort itself out later.

P.s- I don't own Dbz/Kai/ DBS/ DBXV or Rwby and their characters. Those belong to Akira Toriyama/Toei Animation and Rooster Teeth/Monty Oum respectively. I own the oc's who appear in this story other than Tarro and Daikon, those are property of ComparedDreadx He's simply given me permission to use them in my stories.

Chapter 3- Badge, Burden, and ... Elves?

Weiss is seen sleeping on her bed, eyes opening while Ruby creeps up to her bed. Ruby is dressed in her dark brown school uniform. She then blows the whistle she has practically in Weiss' ear, causing her to fall off the bed.

Ruby: "Good morning, team RWBY!"

Weiss then looks up from the floor and responds, obviously not pleased.

Weiss: "What in the world is wrong with you?"

Ruby just ignores the shnee's question, much to her annoyance.

Ruby: Since your awake, now we can begin our first order of business.

Weiss raised a questioning eyebrow at this, not sure what she meant by that.

Weiss: And that would be.. what?

Yang then is seen holding a collection of objects - pillows, pamphlets, a candle-holder - in her arms, also dressed alongside Blake.

Yang: Decorating of course!

Weiss: Excuse me... What?!

Blake is seen lifting her suitcase.

Blake: We still have to unpack.

The suitcase then opens, spilling what is contained inside of it.

Blake: Aaannndd clean.

Before they can continue though, they hear a knock at their door. Ruby turns and opens the door to their room. In front of her is Odyn and his team, dressed in their uniforms.

Ruby: O-Odyn what a surprise! *laughs nervously* Sorry about the mess.

Odyn: Don't worry about it. I actually just wanted to tell you that we were going on ahead.

Roy: Yeah, so you girls may want to hurry up.

Hailfire: We'll save you guys seats.

Flare: So don't take too long.

Ruby: R-Right we'll try not to.

Odyn then turns and waves to Ruby as the four of them walk down the hallway, followed by another team that had Baron and Kanna among its members.

Ruby closes the door and the four of them go back to what they were doing. The Black and red haired girl then turns to Weiss.

Weiss does not look enthusiastic, especially when Ruby knocks her back again with the blow of her whistle.

Ruby: "Aaaalright! Weiss, Blake, Yang, and their fearless leader Ruby have begun their first mission!"

She raises her fist into the air.

Ruby: Banzai!

Blake and Yang are doing the same at her sides.

Blake/Yang: Banzai!"

They turn at an angle as Weiss lays on the floor and upbeat montage music starts playing in the background as they continue copying Ruby's actions.

After they were finished with this, they go back to setting up their room and unpacking their belongings.

Yang places a poster of six guys in various poses named "THE ACHIEVE MEN" on her part of the room. Weiss positions the painting of the Forever Fall forest to perfection and walks away. Blake is busy putting away her books on the shelves, picking up a copy of Ninjas of Love and widening her eyes as she warily looks around before putting it back. Ruby positions Crescent Rose at an exact angle against the curtains so she can perfectly slash a diagonal portion off. A quick zoom around the room (and the repaired curtains) ends with the girls admiring their handiwork... with one problem. The beds are cramped together in the center of the floor.

This was their dilemma... they had too much stuff...

Weiss: "This isn't going to work."

Blake: "It... is a bit cramped."

Yang: "Maybe we should ditch some of our stuff..."

Ruby: "Or we could ditch the beds... and replace them with bunk beds!"

Weiss: Umm.. I would like to point out the fact....that sounds incredibly dangerous."

Yang: "And super-awesome!"

Blake: "It does seem efficient."

Weiss: "Well, I think we should put it to a vote!"

Ruby: "I think we just did."

The scene transitions to the sounds of two dings and a single buzz, Blake thumbs up the idea, Yang makes a double-rocker gesture, and Weiss angrily curls her fists at her side. Decided, they rush at the beds, where sounds of jackhammering and sawing are heard until they gather back at the front of the room.

Ruby: "Objective: Complete!"

While Weiss' bed is simply on the ground next to her art and luggage, Blake's bed is next to her books, which are used to raise Yang's bed over it by placing the novels on the posts, and Ruby's is hanging from ropes on the ceiling with a blanket used as a tent over it.

Weiss: 😅 That seems... incredibly unsafe...

Ruby: Ah, don't worry about it. Should be fine.

She continued as she addressed their next order of business.

Ruby: Allllright! Our second order of business iiiiiiiis...!"

The room spins until she lands on her bed and a book lands in her lap.

Ruby: "Classes.. (pulling out a pencil) Now, we have a few classes together today. At 9, we've got to be-"

Weiss' eyes widened in realization as she looked at the time... it was 8:55.

Weiss: "What?! Did you say 9 o'clock?"

Ruby: Umm... yeah?

Weiss: "It's 8:55, you dunce! That's why that other team who visited earlier went ahead of us, they knew what time it was!"

Weiss is the first rushing out of the room and down the hall, the members of RWBY and JNPR peeking out from their doorways to look at her go.

Ruby is flabbergasted until she decides to move and sounds off the alarm.

Ruby: "To class!"

Ruby runs out, followed by Yang, and Blake.

Jaune: "Class...?"

Jaune loses his balance and ends up toppling Nora, Pyrrha and Ren on top of him. He manages to get out from under them and start dashing.

Jaune: "We're gonna be late!"

In the courtyard, Professor Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch watch the two teams hurry through the school. Glynda looks at her watch, and Ozpin simply sips his drink.

The sight of an axe-blunderbuss weapon pans down to the boards displaying various species of Grimm - King Taijitu, Death Stalker, Beowolf, Boarbatusk, Nevermore, and Ursa - behind an elderly teacher named Peter Port.

Port: "Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!"

As they're listening to him talk, Hailfire leans over and whispers to Odyn. She was a little concerned that Ruby and her team would miss the class entirely.

Hailfire: (whispering) "Do you think they'll make it in time for the important part of the class? They are late."

Odyn: (whispering) "They'll come.. any minute now, in fact."

Hailfire: "Are you sensing their Aura?"

Odyn: "That'd be helpful, but no."

Hailfire: "You're not? Then how do you know for sure?"

Odyn: "Just trust me. They'll be coming into the classroom in... 3... 2... and 1.,"

Just then the members of both team Rwby and JNPR came stumbling through the door of the class. They landed in a pile on the floor. This caused professor Port to raise an eyebrow. Ruby is seen nervously laughing and rubbing the back of her head in embarrassment.

Port: A bit late aren't we, miss Rose, mister Arc?

Ruby: *nervous laughter* Sorry Professor, won't happen again.

Jaune: Sorry. Lost track of time.

Port: Since it's the first day I'll be lenient towards you and your teammates... Just try not to make this a regular occurrence miss Rose, mister Arc.

Ruby/Jaune: Yessir! It won't happen again!

Port: Good.. now take your take your seats, if you would be so kind.

Ruby: R-Right!

Team Rwby surveyed the room before catching sight of Team OHRF on the front row. They made their way over to them, while Jaune and his team sat next to Kanna's team. With all of them seated, Port resumed his lesson or... rather story.

The members of RWBY, seated on the front row, are in varying stages of interest; Blake and Yang are sitting up and paying attention, Weiss is taking notes, and Ruby has her head propped in her hand as she takes a quick nap until she is woken back up by Port's bad joke, which receives a cricket-filled silence as a result.

Port: "Uhhhh... And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses..."

He then winks at Yang who uncomfortably groans at this before he continues. Roy raises an eyebrow at this after seeing Yang's reaction.

Port: "Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!"

Port: "That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy..."

The entirety of the class seemed to groan at this as Port did have a tendency to be rather... long winded in his explanations. The Elves paid attention as best as they could without getting bored out of their minds. Odyn looked around the room and he understood why no one liked it when professor port told his 'famous' stories from his time as a boy.

Odyn: 😅 I... can see why no one pays attention to his stories now.. but we have to learn all that we can if we're to protect our people.

Roy: My brother and myself need to learn all we can so we can properly protect our own people in this world. Even... if it is a headache listening about a man ramble on and on about his boyhood.

His words fade into the background (and a series of "blah"s) when Weiss notices Ruby is very focused on penciling the paper in front of her.

Ruby looks over from her doodling and sees Odyn's writing. It was unlike anything she'd ever seen before. There were characters that she had never seen before and it intrigued her for abit. That said, she couldn't read it and Ruby knew she wasn't a bad reader or writer. His writing was obviously in a different language and Odyn himself hadn't even noticed that he was taking notes in his native tongue/language. She'd have to ask him about that later.

Ruby then refocused back on her doodling.

Port: "...Despite smelling of cabbages, my grandfather was a wise man. 'Peter', he told me..."

The speech evolves into more "blah"s as Ruby chuckles at her creation and shows it to her teammates: a ball-with-limbs-and-a-head drawing of the teacher with stink lines coming from him and "Professor Poop" written underneath. Ruby blows a quick raspberry. Blake and Yang laugh, but Weiss looks annoyed.

Port: "Ah-heh-hem!"

He waits until he has their attention again, then continues.

Port:"In the end, the Beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity, and I returned to my village with the beast in captivity and my head held high, celebrated as a hero!"

The teacher takes a bow as Weiss slowly gets more and more frustrated with Ruby's antics. Hailfire and the other Elves look over at the heiress.

Odyn: Someone looks like she about to snap.

Hailfire: About to pop a blood vessel is more like it.

Daikon: (smirking) Well then... Let's see what the princess does.

Port: "The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honorable!"

Ruby is balancing an apple on a book with her pencil held only by her finger while making a silly face.

Port: "A true Huntsman must be dependable!"

Ruby has fallen asleep again in the first class of the year.

Port: "A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise!"

Ruby is not-so-subtly picking her nose, much to Weiss' building anger.

Port: "So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?"

Roy: "Aaaannnddd here it comes."

Weiss, who is still angry raises her hand quickly.

Weiss: "I do, sir!"

This caused all of the Elves in both Odyn's and Kanna's teams to slap their palm against their forehead and groan in annoyance. They'd seen this before.. Typical snot nosed noble syndrome... one they really never cared for.

Kanna: *groans in annoyance* 🤦‍♂️ Aaannnd now we're forced to watch this brat strut her "rich girl" pride and ego. Ugh, gag me."

This caused more than a few eyebrows near them.to be raised at this reaction. Even Yang and Blake were confused as to why Odyn, Hailfire, Baron, and Kanna reacted the way they did.

Port: "Well, then, let's find out!"

He turns to gesture at the glowing red eyes surrounded by shadow shaking the cage that traps it.

Port:" Step forward, and face your opponent!"

The unknown monster continues to growl as the scene cuts to black. Weiss Schnee, now back in her regular attire, readying her Myrtenaster at the growling creature in the cage barely seen. Her teammates are seen cheering for her from the front row. Yang raises her fist as she cheers.

Yang: "Goooo, Weiss!"

Blake is seen waving a small flag saying "RWBY".

Blake: "Fight well!"

Ruby: "Yeah, represent Teeeeam RWBY!"

Weiss then lowers her sword and glares at her team leader.

Weiss: "Ruby! I'm trying to focus!"

Ruby: "Oh, um... Sorry..."

Ruby is then seen looking sheepish as she lowers her head, most likely in sadness. Odyn scowls at this. That was uncalled for in his eyes. All Ruby was trying to do was show support for her teammate. It seemed like Weiss had a major issue with Ruby being the team leader for some reason.. at least that's what Odyn was able to observe anyways.

Port: "Allllright!"

He's seen next to the cage, pulling out Blowhard, his dust weapon.

Port: "Let the match... begin!"

The professor swings down and breaks the lock, dropping the cage door and revealing the Boarbatusk inside, which immediately charges at Weiss. She uses Myrtenaster to deflect its attack and roll to the side, readying herself for its next move. The Grimm stands a distance away from its enemy, studying her.

Port: "Ha-ha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?"

Ruby: "Hang in there, Weiss!"

Weiss is now speeding towards the oncoming Boarbatusk, sticking her blade straight at its skull until they meet and Myrtenaster is trapped in the beast's tusks. Weiss is still hanging on to the hilt, and is tossed around as she struggles to get the rapier back.

Port: "Bold, new approach. I like it!"

Ruby: "Come on, Weiss, show it who's boss!"

Weiss turns to glare at Ruby, only for the Boarbatusk to turn its head and rip the sword from her grip. Myrtenaster lands far away from its master, who is knocked back by the creature's tusks.

Port: "Oh-ho! Now what will you do without your weapon?"

Weiss looks up just in time to see the Boarbatusk charge again, rolling out of the way just in time to avoid getting trampled and make it crash into a desk. Weiss rushes at her sword and slides to get it back in her hand.

Ruby: "Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armor underneath-"

Weiss: (turns and angrily looks at Ruby again) "Stop telling me what to do!"

Ruby looks hurt from Weiss yelling at her. Odyn scowls at this as he watches on. He puts a hand on Ruby's shoulder to try and comfort her as he knows the girl is hurting from having the shnee heiress yell at her.

Meanwhile, the Boarbatusk leaps into the air, then rolls into a ball. It spins rapidly in the air, then lands onto the floor. The grimm keeps gaining speed until it launches itself right at Weiss. As it nears her, she activates one of her blueish white glyphs, allowing her to block the roll. Using the glyph as a springboard, she leaps up into the black snowflake glyph. Weiss is able to turn it blue again upon her feet touching the circle. The girl leaps again, now having enough momentum to drive the rapier into the beast's exposed stomach. It squeals in defeat, as Weiss gasps in relief that the grimm was defeated.

Port: "Bravo! Bravo! It appears we are in the presence of a true Huntress - in- training!"

Weiss then stand up at attention as Ruby continues to frown.

Port:"I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings and... stay vigilant! Class dismissed!"

Weiss tries to hurry past her teammates and out of the door when Odyn stops her. He sticks a foot in the door, blocking her path as he glares at her. She scoffs, but then freezes when she feels just how angry Odyn and the others are.

Weiss: "What do you want? As you can see, I was just leaving.

Odyn: Not until you tell me what the heck that was about. You've made Ruby start to doubt herself when all she was trying to do was show support for you. And what does she get in return for that? YOU yelling at her! 😠

Weiss: 💢 And why should i care? She's not a proper huntress anyway, so i don't see the problem.

Kanna: Weiss, I'm disappointed. We thought you knew better. This isn't just about you.

Daikon: You may think you're what huntress should be like. But i don't see one. All i see is a self centered brat that's always gotten her way. News flash, it doesn't always work out that way! You're a fool.

Weiss became offended by this as she started to get angry now. What happened next shocked everyone, including Weiss herself.

Weiss: 💢 How dare you! If anyone should've been appointed the leader of this team, it should have been myself! This team needs a proper leader, not someone who acts like a chil-"

SMACK!

Everyone else: 😳😯

Odyn got so angry at Weiss that he slapped her! After which Weiss' eyes along with everyone else's widened in shock at what Odyn just did. Weiss was seen holding her cheek in shock, she never thought he'd actually harm her. But the the look he gave her left no room for argument. Odyn was genuinely ticked off at Weiss for what she did. He gave her perhaps the darkest glare that had been seen on his face in a very long time.

Odyn: Before you go bragging about how qualified you are... become a better human first! I'm disappointed in you Weiss, you're nothing but a spoiled brat.

The others then backed away as Odyn called to his partner to follow him. Hailfire was still wide eyed and still trying to process what just happened. In fact, everyone other than the two were the angriest at Weiss were.

Odyn: Hailfire, let's go. Let's leave miss "perfect" huntress to her own thoughts.

Hailfire: Huh? oh, R-Right!

Hailfire just sighed and gave Weiss a sad and disppointed look before she followed Odyn out of the classroom. Roy sighed as well, putting a hand on Weiss' shoulder to offer her some advice.

Roy: And... that is why you don't want to see Odyn angry at you. Great job, miss heiress. You just had to pull his trigger.Word of advice.. better fix that complex of yours cuz... Odyn hates spoiled rich brats.

He patted her shoulder as he walked away after Odyn, Flare following behind him. But she did stop and bow in apology to her before walking off. Ruby was still wide eyed at what happened, but eventually left the room to follow after Odyn and the others as well. Yang and Blake were the last two who left. But not before sighing and shaking their heads at Weiss.

Yang: Not even we can back you up on that fiasco Weiss...

Blake: I would take some time to think where you messed up there. Yang, we'd better find your sister.

Yang: Yeah, i bet Rubes is in shock at what just happened. But she's probably sad too.

The two girls exited the classroom leaving Weiss to her thoughts. Even Jaune had nothing to say after that. Odyn seemed like such a nice person to him, so he was completely caught off guard when he blew up at Weiss like he just did mere moments ago.

Weiss then just stood there, on her own in the classroom. She was bewildered. Why would Odyn get so mad at her for something that was true? She thought about what happened as she eventually walked out of the classroom herself.

Ruby is seen walking with her head hung low. She began to wonder if she really was the right choice to be team Rwby's leader.

She'd run into Weiss beforehand as she walked the hallways. Much to her dismay that particular conversation didn't go well and now she was starting to doubt her legitimacy as a team leader.

She managed to come across Hailfire who wasn't near Odyn for some reason. She was going to question her when the auburn haired girl shushed her and pointed.

Ruby: "Hailfire? Aren't you-"

Hailfire: "shh.. Actually I'm glad you're here Ruby.

Ruby: "You are?"

Hailfire: (nodding) "mhmm. Could.. you go talk to him? I can't even get him to say anything. He just.. stares out into space. But maybe if you talked to him, he'd actually say something. "

Ruby: "I don't know Hailfire... Isn't he your partner?"

Hailfire: "He is, but i can't really get through to him. I feel like you can."

Ruby: (sighing) "Alright... I'll see what i can do."

Hailfire: "Fantastic! Also... just call me Hail, it's what my friends call me.

Ruby: R-Right.. Hail.

Ruby then walked over to where Odyn was sitting and spoke, gaining his attention.

Ruby: "H-Hey there O-Odyn."

Odyn: "Ruby? What are you doing here?"

Ruby: "Oh, you know just hangin' around. Mind if I sit next to you?"

Odyn looks at the spot next to him, then back at Ruby before gesturing for her to sit down.

Odyn: "No, i don't mind.. Please."

Ruby: "Thanks."

From a distance, Hailfire watched them and smiled. If anyone could cheer up Odyn, she knew Ruby could.

Odyn: (sighs) You think I was too harsh on Weiss back there? I just.. I don't know. Something inside of me just snapped when i saw how she was acting towards you.

Ruby: M-Maybe just a bit. But... maybe she's right.

Odyn: Ruby, what do you mean?

Ruby: Maybe... professor Ozpin did make a mistake by naming me team leader.... Everything Weiss said... that I act like a child, that I'm a nuisance, and that continue to be nothing but a problem... maybe she's right and i'm just not cut out to be a team leader.."

Odyn: "Ruby, look at me."

Ruby looks at him on the verge of tears. This had obviously been bothering her for quite a while. Odyn could tell this feeling of unworthiness and self doubt had been building up inside of Ruby since the first class of the year. Ironically, that was professor port's class where Weiss had belittled Ruby so much that he snapped and had actually hit the shnee heiress.

Odyn: "Ozpin chose you to be your team's leader for a reason, right?"

Ruby: "Y-Yeah?"

Odyn: True, you may not be the typical leader of a team, you still are leading your team for a reason. And no matter what anyone says, I believe that you'll be a fine leader. Weiss will come around eventually, just watch.

Ruby: (sniffles slightly but wipes away tears threatening to spill out) "Y-You're right. T-Thank you, o-odyn... What can i do to change her mind about me?"

Odyn: Well, it's not like she can switch the team name even if she does prove that she's right. So, all you have to do is prove to her that you belong as her team leader. "

Ruby: You're right. Thank you Odyn! I'll do that.

Odyn smiles at her as she wipes away her tears. Getting to her feet she smiles at him and then walks away. Due to talking with Ruby, Odyn knew what he needed to do as much as he dreaded doing so. True, Weiss was wrong in judging Ruby prematurely, but then so was he.

Weiss is still walking around the halls until she comes across a balcony where professor port is seen watching the sunset over the rooftops of Beacon Academy. The heiress approaches him.

Weiss: "Professor Port!"

Port: "Ah, miss Shnee! (He turns to look at her) To what do I owe this fine pleasure?

Weiss quickly thought of a response, even if it was lying to him.

Weiss: I... I enjoyed your lecture!

Port smiled at this and answered in his usual and slightly dramatized tone of speaking.

Port: Why of course you did child: you have the blood of a true huntress residing within yourself.

Weiss: (smiles) You really think so professor?

Port: Most surely!

He then notices Weiss' small frown and her lack of eye contact with him. Something was obviously bothering her. Like any good teacher would, he asked her what it was that troubled her so.

Port: Something's troubling you... What seems to be causing you such trouble, miss shnee?

Weiss: Yes sir...

Port: Dear girl, confess to me what your strife is!

Weiss: Well.... I uhh... I-I think I should have been Team Rwby's leader!

He was silent for a few moments, almost like he was processing what Weiss just said to him. After a few moments of silence, he speaks up again.

Port: That's preposterous!

Ruby and Odyn walked along a path to the dorms at the same time. The dark elf encouraging Ruby to keep her head up.

Ruby: I know I'm repeating myself here, Odyn. But, What do you mean by what you said earlier?

Odyn sighs and smiles at the shorter black and red haired girl. He takes the time to explain his point to her again.

Odyn: Look Ruby, it's only been one day. I'm sure headmaster Ozpin would agree with me and tell you he's made more than his fair share of mistakes in his life. But I'm positive he would also say that right now, you being chosen as the leader of your team wouldn't be one of those mistakes. (He looks more directly at Ruby so he's looking right into her eyes) Would you?

Weiss is quite angered by this response from professor port.

Weiss: Excuse me?!

Port: Listen, dear child. I've believed in Professor Ozpin for many, many years. The man has never once led me astray!

Weiss: (offended by this) So you would just blindly accept his decision, even after seeing how exceptional I am?

Port: With all due respect miss Shnee, your exceptional skill on the battlefield is matched only by your poor attitude. Specifically towards the one who was chosen by Ozpin to be your team's leader.

Weiss is now seething in anger at what professor port said to her, this just further emphasized his point.

Weiss: Wha- how dare you!

Port: My point exactly. I believe the faunus boy in the red has a point concerning you. Though, i will not be as shrude with my language as he was. What I see before is agirl who has spent the entirety of her life getting exactly what she's wanted.

Weiss crosses her arms defiantly at first under her teacher's gaze.

Weiss: That's not even remotely true!

Under the watchful gaze of the professor, she reluctantly relaxes her posture and relents, letting her arms fall to her sides.

Weiss: Well... not.. entirely true that is...

Odyn: I'm new at this whole team leader thing myself. But being a leader isn't just for show, nor is it  just a title you carry into battle. It's a badge and... a responsibility you carry constantly with you. If you don't make an effort to perform at your best and grow, then what reason are you giving others to follow you? What reason would they have to follow your lead?

Ruby dons a thoughtful look as she considers and really ponders what Odyn is telling her. She then smiles at him, already feeling much better than she did earlier.

Ruby: You're right Odyn. I can't let something like this get me down and hold me back. In oder to prove to Weiss that I belong as her leader on this team, I have to grow stronger and move forward myself.

Odyn: (smiles back at her) That's the spirit, Ruby. I just know you'll do a fine job at leading your team from here on out.

Port: So the overall outcome did not fall in your favor this time. Allow me to ask you this. Do you honestly believe that acting in such a manner as this would cause those in power here to reconsider their decision?

Weiss calms down at looks at him again as she begins to think on the professor's words to her.

Port: Instead of fretting over what you don't currently have, savor what it is that you do have at this moment. Hone your skills, learn to perfect your every technique, and be not the best leader, but rather... become the best person that you can be.

Weiss smiles a little after truly considering and listening to the words of wisdom from the professor.

Odyn turns back to Ruby, still talking to her as they continue walking.

Odyn: You have been given a daunting responsibility, Ruby, we both have. The best advice I can give you is to take some time to think about what you will do to uphold the responsibility that has been given to you.

Ruby: You've given me alot to consider, Odyn. I guess there is something I can do to prove to Weiss that I'm a going to be a great team leader for her.

Odyn smiles at her and simply waves bye to her as he walks off. Ruby, with a last look of consideration, turns and walks away as well. She comes to a balcony on the way back to her dorm where Port is seen walking awy from Weiss. She then smiles a little at her partner before continuing on towards her dorm room. The entire walk back, she begins to think on and consider Odyn's words to her.

Later the full moon shines over the green lights surrounding Beacon. In the room of Team RWBY, the door opens revealing Weiss' shadow against the hallway's light. Blake is seen fast asleep underneath her covers, Yang is spread out on her bed and is heard snoring, Weiss then walks over to Ruby's bed and lifts the blanket of her team leader's tent. She finds the occupant of said tent with her head resting on notes with a pencil in her hand, books littering the small space around her. Weiss is amazed at Ruby's determination upon seeing this. She clears her throat and gently starts to shake the girl awake. Ruby takes a second to regain consciousness, then upon seeing Weiss, she starts flailing in surprise.

Ruby: Weiss! I-I was studying, and then I fell asleep! I'm so sorry...

Weiss quickly puts a hand over Ruby's mouth, so she doesn't wake the others. Putting a finger to her own mouth, Ruby now understands the need to lower her voice. Weiss looks near Ruby's pillow and spots an empty coffee mug with Beacon written and symbolized on it. She then lowers her hand, taking it off of Ruby's mouth.

Weiss: How do you take your coffee, Ruby?

Ruby: I.. I don't...

She sees Weiss getting irritated again and stiffens.

Weiss: Just answer the question!

Ruby: O-Oh Right! Uhh.. cream and five sugars!

Weiss: (sighs) Don't move!

Weiss ducks under to her own bed, coming up a moment later with a fresh cup of coffee before offering it to Ruby.

Ruby: Um.. thanks, Weiss.

Weiss: (smiles at her while looking apologetic) Ruby, I think you have what it takes to be a really good leader.

Ruby smiles back in appreciation. Then, a moment later she remembers that Odyn had also told her something very similar to what Weiss just said to her.

Ruby: That's funny you should say that, cuz Odyn told me something similar earlier when we talked for abit.

Weiss had abit of a surprised look on her face before it morphed into a smile. The fact that Ruby would even mention the dark elf when they didn't even say anything about him was no surprise to her.

Weiss: Oh, he did? Well just know that I am going to be the best teammate you'll ever have, Ruby.

The two briefly share a smile before Weiss ducks under the bed.

Weiss: Good luck studying!

She comes up a moment later and points at one of Ruby's papers.

Weiss: Oh, that's wrong by the way.

She ducks under again, only this time her voice comes from the doorway.

Weiss: Also, Ruby?

Ruby looks over to Weiss, who's at the doorway with her hand on the doorknob and about to walk out of the room.

Ruby: Uh - huh?

Weiss: I always wanted bunk beds as a kid.

She begins to close the door as she exits the room. Ruby is then seen grinning at the progress she made with her friend before going back to her notes as the scene then fades to outside of the room with Weiss. She sighs, knowing there's one last thing she has to do when morning comes. It may hurt her pride, but she knew that it was something she has to do in order to set things right.

The next morning Teams Rwby and JNPR are following Weiss as they go to meet Teams OHRF and KDBNB. The teens are wondering what exactly Weiss has in store for them as she just told them they needed to come with her as there was something she had to set straight.

Ruby: Umm... Weiss? Where are we going?

Weiss: You'll see when we get there.

Blake: And... we have to come with you.. why?

Weiss: (sighs) It's because you all were there when i... was.. misguided in my opinions.

Yang: Misguided in your- ohhhh.... that's what this is about 😌.

Jaune: I get it. You want to set things right with them.

Pyrrha: That's very admirable of you Weiss.

Ren: It takes a lot of courage to admit something like that, for anyone really.

The group arrived at their destination where both Odyn and Daikon were seen waiting with the other teens who witnessed the incident between Odyn, Daikon, and Weiss the previous day. Weiss walked up to the the aforementioned two teens and was seen ... slightly bowing her head to them?! Weiss... was... apologizing to Odyn and Daikon?!

Weiss: I...realize now that I was quite wrong in what i said concerning Ruby. So I do hope that you two can forgive me for my... less than proper attitude towards you. I was wrong and I'm sorry.

This surprised both Odyn and Daikon, they were sure that Weiss was too proud to apologize and.. even admit that she was wrong to them personally! After the initial shock of it passed, to everyone's surprise... Daikon apologized to Weiss first!

Daikon: You... weren't the only one at fault here shnee. I.. was wrong too. And I.. apologize for that. I'll make it up to you somehow, just name your price.

Weiss: That..... was.. unexpected but alright. I'll gladly take you up on your offer then, Koizumi. In exchange for what happened, since we're both at fault for what occurred... Call me by my first name. Call me Weiss, not by my surname... just Weiss.

Daikon: I can do that much at least shne- er.. I mean Weiss. And what about on your end? Since you did make this a mutual agreement.

Weiss: I suppose... I'll refer to you by your first name, you know.. t-to even things out. Sound good, D...Da..Daikon?

Daikon nooded and the two shook hands to seal the agreement. Once they finished, Odyn spoke up addressing Weiss.

Odyn: I was also wrong. I shouldn't have become so angry that I would physically harm you. As a favor and in recompense for my mistake in wronging you... I will do any one thing you ask of me, so long as it's within my ability  and  that it's reasonable enough for me to carry out.

Weiss thought about it for a minute before coming to a decision.

Weiss: Alright, Odyn. It's clear Yourself and Ruby get along quite well... so my favor is this.... Look out for her. You're the one guy our age or.. around our age that I trust with my friend. So make sure she doesn't cry.

Ruby realizing what Weiss just said instantly went red in the face at this and was waving her arms frantically to try and dissuade Odyn from accepting that favor.

Ruby: W-Weiss! It- It's not like that!

Everyone was seen grinning and smirking as they knew how close Ruby and Odyn could eventually get. Yang teased her sister about it much to her ire as the other teens began to laugh in joy. Eventually, Ruby and Odyn smiled after looking at the scene. The scene then pans to a view of the school as the camera then fades to black.
