Opening: BRING BACK by MADKID
Visuals: Odyn, Ruby, and Mercury standing up as lightning strikes across a darkened sky, Yang in her room looking down until Roy puts a hand on her shoulder to comfort her, JNPR,and KDBNB watching the tournament match between Pyrrha and Penny. A transition of flames later, hundreds of Grimm are seen to be invading Vale. During the breakdown before the chorus each of the teams participating in the tournament are shown until a large airborne Grimm is shown in the sky above the city. When the Grimm is seen, dozens of golden pillars of light then erupt into the sky, lighting up the skyline of Vale. During the chorus, all of the teams are seen to be fighting off the Grimm, while Odyn and Ruby are fighting Cinder and Emerald. Ruby is pushed back while Odyn transforms and charges at Cinder again, while Cinder has power swelling around her as she charged towards Odyn. Roy, Yang, and Blake are fighting off Adam, Tirion, and a rather familiar face that has black shadows covering his body. The final breakdown of the song ends with the image of Odyn and Cinder charging towards each other while the characters on their respective sides of the screen follow them to charge at each other.
Chapter 25: Memories & Next Steps
Announcer: Before we continue on with the story of our hero's journeys, we must first step back in time to what lead them to where their journeys are currently taking them.....
*Flashback: Fall- shortly following the Fall of Beacon...*
Unknown Location: Just west of Vale.....

Hundreds of dark elves emblazoned in golden armor were seen to be kneeling before two individuals. These two were of course, Berethon and Hyatan Alabanar, The High King and High Queen of the Elven race. The pair were sitting upon some makeshift thrones carved out of stone, but it still didn't diminish the authority they wielded. Among those seen kneeling towards them, among the many Elven soldiers were Hailfire Odarinath, Tarro (the saiyan who supported Sybyrh), Sybyrh, Zero, Valvahdern, Jaune Arc, and Sarai Albanar (the "New" form of Pyrrha Nikos). There were also others whom the teens didn't recognize, but were prominent commanders and generals within the elven army. Berethon then spoke to the kneeling group.
"Please, lift your heads my friends.,"The King spoke.
Jaune looked around a bit nervously. He said that he would travel with Sarai back to where the Elves camped out but...he sure wasn't expecting all this. He wqs almost overwhelmed by what he was seeing.
Where they were seemed to be within a mountain of some sort, based on the ceiling of the room they were in. Several poles with the emblem of The Albanar Tribe upon royal crimson banners littered the walls. The blonde expected the Elves to be organized, but... not THIS organized. And... there were so many of them! Not only were each of the Elven soldiers donned in brilliant gold and silver armor, every single one of them looked strong.
What was Atlas thinking getting into a fight with this group? Sure Atlas was the supposed "most powerful" military in the world, but these dark elves certainly weren't any pushovers either. And then... their rulers were anything but weak!
"I.. don't know what Weiss' Father was thinking! These elves aren't anything that remotely close to being weak!," Jaune thought to himself.
Hyatan then stood up from her throne before speaking. From what Jaune could see, the Elven Queen was indeed quite the beautiful woman as she exuded an air of Grace and dignity not often seen in most people. She had long violet and lavender hair that extended down to her lower back, a lighter shade of dark skin with pointed and slightly elongated ears. She also had those same piercing fiery orange eyes that every one of the dark elves he met thus far, had to some extent.
Her outfit consisted of brightly tinted midnight purple armor with matching shin guards, boots, and arm braces. She looked almost like a knight, just.. without the helmet. Her shoulder pads were like that of a samurai, crimson and gold in color, a blue belt at her waist, and a blue battle skirt (like the one saber from the fate series has). A crimson red cape with gold and silver trimmings flowed from her back, this went with golden tiara (most likely a crown) that sat upon her head. Instead of a sword, the queen's weapon of choice was a bladed halberd which she held in her left hand as she stood to her feet.
"Hailfire, Sybyrh, and Valvahdern... welcome back. We thank you for your due diligence within Vale for the short time you were there.," Hýatan said.
Hailfire, now donned in golden and silver elven armor simply nodded.
"Of course, Your Grace. I'm only sorry that we couldn't do more to prevent the decision that my lieges had to ultimately make.," Hailfire replied.
"Of course, milady! We apologize that we could not do more for our people.," Sybyrh added.
"We thank you for the confidence in us, Your Grace.," Valvahdern said.
Hýatan looked towards Hailfire.
"What of your Father and Uncle, Hailfire?," Hýatan asked.
The dark elf maiden shook her head somberly.
"Unfortunately no word as of yet, milady.. It.. would seem my father, Overfire, and my uncle, Vladek, have still yet to be found since they mysteriously vanished several months ago.," Hailfire replied.
Hýatan's eyes then softened at this.
"I see... that is, rather unfortunate.," She said disappointed with the news.
The King spoke to ease the elven Maiden's worries.
"Worry not, Hailfire. We will do all that we can to find their whereabouts. They are our old friends, we would hate to think anything happened to them.," Bèrethon said.
"Just hearing that you care about them is more than enough, your majesties.," Hailfire replied.
Hýatan then turned towards Tarro, who was seen to also be kneeling beside Sybyrh.
"Tarro Koizumi.," Hýatan spoke up addressing the young Saiyan man.
He looked up towards her as she spoke.
"Yes, Your Grace?," Tarro asked respectfully.
Hýatan smiled warmly at him before speaking again.
"You have my thanks for looking after and supporting one of our own, even when you could have chosen orherwise.," Hýatan said.
Tarro nodded and smiled towards the dark elf queen before spoke, voicing his thoughts.
"It's no problem, Your Grace. But, I think I still would have chosen to side with the elves regardless. Especially seeing how wrongly you all are treated.," Tarro replied.
The Queen smiled at him before finally looking to her daughter, Sarai.
Her eyes softened as walked to the young dark elven woman.
"And.. there's you, my daughter.," Hýatan said before taking her face into her hands.
Sarai is confused at the queen's action, as she feels the elder elven woman then embrace her. Sarai widens her eyes and is surprised for a moment.
"Y-Your Grace?," Sarai asked confused at the sudden hug from the queen.
"Please, just... a moment. I... haven't seen my daughter in many long years... I wish to hold her, just for a few moments.," Hýatan said tearing up.
Sarai then relaxes into the gesture as she's aware that in her absence, she has worried her mother.
"Of course, mother.... take your time.," Sarai said.
The mother and daughter stay like that for a long few moments before the queen pulls away from the embrace. She smiled at the dark elven princess.
"It's wonderful to have you back among the living... my baby girl...," Hýatan said. "Hm? Who is this young man next to you?"
Sarai steps back and introduces him.
"Ah, Yes! Your Grace... This is Jaune Arc, the leader of Team JNPR of Beacon. He... was quite closer to Pyrrha, the girl who became like a sister to me. He's the boy she was in love with... He unfortunately realized too late, though.," Sarai explained.
"I see... so she's gone then?," Hýatan asked.
Sarai shook her head.
"No. She's... a part of me now. I fully reincarnated into her body. It... was the only way to save her, that woman did quite a number on Pyrrha that left her with life threatening injuries. We became the same person to save her from really dying, so she's with me... in a way. Though, I can no longer converse with her directly as a result.," Sarai answered.
"You wish to honor her memory then?," The Queen asked.
Sarai nodded.
"Very well. We elves will never forget what Pyrrha Nikos did for my daughter, our princess. She was a brave young huntress that fought for her beliefs and for those she cared about, all the way until the end.," Hyatan said.
Sarai nodded.
"That's fine. But if i could make but one request, mother?," She asked.
"Go on, sweetie. What is your request?," Hýatan asked.
Taking a brief deep breath and exhaling, Sarai made known her request to her mother, the high queen.
"If it pleases you, I would like to take on a new name.... In honor of my sister.," Sarai said.
"Very well. What will your new be?," The King asked as he heard the conversation between his wife and only daughter.
"Instead of Sarai... I would like to be referred to as Syrrai." She requested.
"I see. You're combining both of your names to honor your friend who has now become a part of you... We shall see to it then. But you will have to inform your brothers and cousin of this change at some point.," Hýatan replied.
The now named Syrrai smiled at her mother before she responded.
"It's not much different then my normal name, so I doubt it will proove very difficult for them to get used to it.," Syrrai replied.
Hýatan smiled and looked towards Jaune, noticing the sash on his waist.
"I see the both of you wish to honor the memory of Pyrra Nikos...," She said somberly with a sad smile.
Jaune looked down with a sad smile as well upon responding.
"Yes, Your Grace. Pyrra was... an important person, to both your daughter.. and myself. She was a dear friend to us both.," Jaune said.
Hýatan nodded in understanding.
"I see. My daughter wishes to train you to become stronger, yes?," The Queen replied in question.
Jaune nodded.
"Y-Yeah she told me as much. But I'm not exactly sure what that will look like.," The blonde said.
"Not to worry, young Arc. I know my daughter, and she will train the best way she knows how to. It won't be easy however. Syrrai sees potential inside of you, which is why she's taking the time to train you.," Hýatan said before patting the blonde's shoulder and whispering into the young man's ear.
"And.. if it turns out that you fall in love with my daughter, which I believe you will,... you already have our blessing to pursue a relationship with her.," Hýatan said whispering to him.
Jaune was taken aback by thought and was understandably embarrassed by it.
"Y-Your Grace! I uh... that may take some time, seeing as I don't really even know your daughter just yet.," Jaune replied blushing.
Hýatan just chuckled at the young man's response.
"There's no need to be so worked up about it, mister Arc. My daughter already considers you to be very important to her personally. It seems as if, she's taken in Pyrrha's feelings to be her own. That includes Pyrrha's feelings for you, Jaune. They are the same being now. Just as Sarai's feelings were taken in by Pyrrha to become her own, so did Pyrrha's feelings be taken in to become Sarai's own. Though, she may not know you on the level that Pyrrha herself did. Syrrai does love you, Jaune. You're the most important person in all of Remnant to her. I do hope you come to realize that one day.," Hýatan explained.
Jaune slowly nodded. Though, he didn't really know Sarai, he would take the effort to get to know her. And since Pyrrha was a part of her now, in a way, he already knew her. He would have to get used to a bit of a stronger personality than Pyrrha though.
"It is our sincere hope, Jaune, that your relationship with our daughter serves as a bridge between Humans and Dark Elves. A peaceful example that coexistence between humans & elves can work.," Berethon said speaking up.
"In order to do that however... you need to at the very least, look the part. I doubt you've really noticed how worn your armor and equipment is.," Hýatan pointed out.
Jaune looked down at his armor and his shield and sword before noticing chips and cracks in them. He laughed nervously, rubbing his hand behind his head in embarrassment.
"Ah.. heh heh heh, guess I never noticed how banged up my equipment was. But.. do you think I could keep the metal from Pyrrha's head piece?... I'd like to honor her memory in some way moving forward.," Jaune replied.
The queen smiled. She saw no issue with that.
"Of course. I see no problem with that. However the rest of your armor will need to be replaced.. We'd like to outfit you with a proper set of armor. We'll provide you the materials as it is apparent you two intend to continue your journey with your friends.," Hýatan said.
"We do indeed, mother.," Syrrai said respectfully.
"Very well then. (She claps, calling for a member of the elven guard to come forth)," She said.
"Your Grace?," An elven soldier asked as he came forward before kneeling.
The Queen then instructed the elf who came before her.
"Our blonde friend here is in need of some new equipment. However, sir Jaune & my daughter are intent on continuing their journey before too long. I would like you to provide Jaune with the materials he needs to upgrade his armor and equipment at a moment's notice.Do you think you can do that for me, Raptaryn?," Hyatan instructed.
The dark elf in green armor knelt towards her and nodded his head in agreement.
"It shall be done, Your Grace.," Raptaryn replied.
Syrrai walked towards Hyatan and hugged her soon after, the queen returning the gesture. She had one last look at her daughter before she inevitably left again.
"Not to worry, mother. We'll see each other again very soon.," She assured her with a smile.
Hyatan nodded and smiled back before the two separated from the gesture.
"Now then, off you go my daughter. I look forward to our next meeting.," Hyatan said.
Syrrai nodded before turning and walking out of the room, Jaune following her. He bowed slightly in acknowledgment before he joined the dark elven princess. As the two left the room, Hyatan allowed a much gentler expression to adorn her facial features. Berethon knew that was hard for Hyatan to watch their daughter leave after she had just come back, he comforted his wife before they refocused on their other retainers.
"Caliburn and Zero...,"Berethon said addressing the two dark elves.
The aforementioned dark elves knelt before their king.
"Yes, milord.," They said simultaneously.
"You two are to gather up our forces and retake Vale. Wipe out any Grimm in your way.," Berethon ordered.
Hyatan then added to the King's command with reasoning of her own.
"Since it is apparent that the Kingdom of Vale has failed in the eyes of the rest of Remnant, our people will make it our own. This includes Mountain Glenn. We will rebuild Vale much stronger and more secure than it has ever been. It will serve as the new home for the dark elven race, of course, it will be renamed appropriately as well.," Hyatan added.
"Of course, my lieges.," Caliburn said.
"It will be done, your majesties.,"Zero replied.
Caliburn and Zero then stood to their feet. They bowed slightly in acknowledgement towards their King and Queen before they walked off, a host of dark elven soldiers following them. The soldiers who remained were a part of the Royal Elven Vanguard, a unit which was under the direct command of the King & Queen themselves. Hyatan proceeded to speak as she addressed their other retainers within the room.

A/N: This will be the theme of the elven king and queen going forward just imagine this playing in the background during this scene
Hyatan & Berethon both stood to their feet as they spoke.
"Sybyrh and Tarro... We have a mission for you.," Hyatan said.
"Both of you are to provide back up to miss Rose and her friends from a distance. Should the need arise, eliminate any threat the devils will pose to them.," Berethon said.
"As you wish, my lieges.," Tarro replied kneeling.
"As you command, your Majesties.,"Sybyrh answered.
Hyatan then turned towards Valvahdern.
"Valvahdern. You're reputation as The Red Knight will be quite useful in your mission.," Berethon said.
Valvahdern knelt as he awaited his orders.
"What would you have me do, your excellencies?,"Valvahdern asked.
"Your mission is to find the Spring Maiden and bring her back to us. Whoever she may be, it has become apparent that she's no longer safe in the world of humans. Use force if necessary. Your secondary mission is to find that girl named Emerald Sustrai." Hyatan said.
"We have the distinct feeling that she is not our enemy. She's merely... confused right now. Do what you can to expose the one she feels indebted to for who she really is. That corrupt Maiden will pay dearly for harming our daughter. If Cinder gets in your way.. Eliminate her!," Berethon said with a slight glare.
Valvahdern knelt and slightly bowed in reverence.
"As you wish, milord. If that corrupted maiden gets in the way,I will make sure she regrets even meeting the dark elves.," He replied.
Hyatan then spoke once more, addressing another dark elven officer.
"Lynn.., no, Lylah... my sister...,"Hyatan said addressing the elf that knelt before them.
The elf who knelt before them was Lylah, Hyatan's younger sister & the commanding officer in charge of the Royal Elven Vanguard. She had a lighter shade of the dark skin that the elves had, much like her sister, Hyatan, the elven queen. Lylah was donned in silver armor with the emblem of the Royal Knights upon the chestplate. The armor had traces of gold and blue around the plating and woven into the cape that flowed behind her. Her hair was down to the middle of the back and in a Moonlight shade of Lavender, making it a few tinges lighter than her sister's hair. Lylah was known as the strongest of the female dark elven soldiers aside from sybyrh. Her reputation had earned her the nickname among her kind as "The Silver Lioness".
"Yes, Your Grace?," Lylah inquired as she knelt.
Hyatan's expression noticeably softened, this was her sister after all! She remembered how devastated Lylah had been when she had learned of her sons deaths at the hands of the woman who held the power of The Fall Maiden currently. But even during that, Lylah never allowed her hatred & rage in that moment to distract her from her duty: Serving her sister. Because of her duty to the Elven Throne she had to leave her husband behind in order to protect him.
"Commander, no, Duchess Lylah Silverblade. Our task for you is rather a simple one: Find your Husband & Daughter. The 3 of you have been apart from each other for far too long. Don't you feel that it's time you were all together, sister?," Hyatan said.
Lylah's eyes widened when she heard the queen referring to her in such a familial way. She sighed upon considering the words of the woman who was not just her Queen (whom she gladly served without question), but who was also her older sister.
"If... that is your wish, your majesties... I will wholeheartedly comply. And... You are right, sister. It... has been far too long since I was with my husband and my daughter.,"Lylah replied.
"If I'm not mistaken, I believe your husband will be keeping watch over our son & his lover.,"Berethon added.
Lylah raised a curious eyebrow upon hearing this.
"Oh? The boy has someone he intends to share his life with then?,"Lylah asked curious.
Berethon & Hyatan both nodded.
"He does indeed. A girl by the name of Ruby Rose has become his lover. She's quite the charming young lady as well.,"Hyatan replied.
"Ruby Rose? Why does that name sound so familiar?,"Lylah asked aloud.
Before Hyatan or Berethon could answer, the elf's eyes widened. It was as if she'd realized something.
"Hold on... that Ruby girl... she wouldn't happen to be the child of Summer Rose, would she?," Lylah asked.
Hyatan smiled sadly and nodded.
"Yes, she is. The poor girl lost her mother at a very young age is what I've been told anyway.,"Hyatan answered.
"That confirms it then. That would make her...,"She said before Berethon spoke up to interrupt her thought.
"Technically yes, but no at the same time. Since her mother was a different woman, Ruby isn't directly related to you. Though... (chuckles) I'm not sure how much longer that will continue to be the case, knowing those two.,"Berethon answered with a bit of a chuckle.
Lylah couldn't help but to chuckle as well at the implication of Berethon's answer.
"And what of your other son? Has he found someone as well?," Lylah asked.
Hyatan smiled and nodded.
"Yes. And... ironically, it is Raven's daughter that has caught his attention. Roy and Yang are very close, just as close as Odyn and Ruby are I would say. They simply haven't... realized that fact yet.,"Hyatan answered.
Lylah smiled. She now potentially had two nieces coming into the family. She was also aware of the current situation between elves and Atlas, so she couldn't reveal herself as their "technical" Aunt just yet. Lylah would wait until things settled down first before revealing that bit of info. She knelt towards Hyatan and Berethon prepared to accept her mission.
"I understand, Your Majesties. I will do my utmost to guide and assist this next generation as wisely as I can. Besides.... I think it's partly my fault my husband is... ahem... such a.. drunkard and a "skirt chaser". I know that I had to protect him, but I think I may have made that man worse.,"Lylah said. "I accept this mission, my lieges."
Lylah stood to her feet, nodded and walked off to complete her mission.
With their retainers leaving on separate missions, the king and queen then stood to their feet. The remaining elven soldiers knelt as they delivered their orders. Their mission was to rescue their own people who had been imprisoned by Atlas, they'd make sure Atlas knew just how serious they were about their people's mistreatment.
[music end]
With Khanna & Mercury...
In a small village, not far from what was once the Kingdom of Vale, a certain dark elf woman and a young man had been helping out the locals. It's been several weeks since the Fall of Beacon... And in that time, Mercury Black, now free from Cinder's influence had turned into a very kind young man. His wardrobe had change significantly as well. Instead of the black shirt and gray jacket that he wore when he worked for Cinder, he now sported an emerald green jacket. A sky blue shirt beneath the open jacket, dark blue pants with his matching prosthetic leg, silver boots, a brown belt, silver gauntlets, with a dark blue chest protector that he wore over his undershirt finished off the outfit. Aside from his wardrobe change, Mercury had grown quite a bit taller now too. Since he'd been helping out the people of this small village he was staying in, he was stronger too. He'd been training with Khanna nearly every day since they got here, resulting in the wardrobe change. His muscles had grown to large for his previous outfit. He also wanted to bury his time working for Cinder. This resulted in him burning his old jacket and pants after he'd received a new one of course.
Speaking of the Dark Elf woman he had been living with, Khanna had kept her outfit from Beacon. One thing that had certainly changed was the fact that she'd grown even more beautiful over these last few weeks. Her hair was now down to the middle of her back with the ends nearest to her face tied into a pair of braids, framing her face. One thing that Khanna had changed about her outfit was the skirt was woven to allow more flexibility of movement. Not much had changed between the two, other than them being more honest and open with each other. They'd been very busy helping local villagers with anything they had need of, as well as dispatching any Grimm that happened to come near the village. Today, however was one of the rare days that the two had to themselves.
The scene transitions back to the small house both were staying in. It was a warm afternoon as Khanna was seen to be standing on the small porch of the house, looking into the distance. Her hair was seen to be blowing gently with the breeze as she leaned on the railing. Mercury, who had just finished shopping was heard calling for Khanna. He was curious as to where she was.
"Khanna? Are you here?," He asked.
"(in the distance) Yeah, I'm out front Merc." She answered.
"Out front, you said?," he asked.
"Yeah! Come to the porch.,"She answered.
"Okay, be right there!,"He replied.
Mercury walked through the house, making his way towards the front porch. As he walked through the small house, he smiled. It was filled with pictures of himself and Khanna just enjoying their lives together. There was a small amount of furniture throughout the house: a small blue chair & and a light brown couch for the living room, a medium sized table with some wood chairs for the dinning room, a small chandelier hung above the table, mirrors and picture boards littered the walls, and some artwork decorated the doorway leading to the front door. Mercury turned the knob of the door before stepping out into the sunlight, he closed the door behind him. He walked towards the beautiful dark elf woman who waited for him. His shoes making a clogging noise as they hit the wood porch in stride with his steps. The young man still had to briefly pause upon seeing the back of Khanna. He still couldn't believe this gorgeous woman was living with him. Khanna turned to face him with a smile as Mercury walked to stand beside her.
"Hey you.,"She said with a smile.
He smiled back.
"Hey."Mercury said in response.
Neither said anything for a little while after that. Khanna leaned her head onto Mercury's shoulder as they just took in the sights of the warm fall day. Mercury subconsciously wrapped his arm around Khanna's waist as the two just stood there for awhile. After a long few moments of silence, the dark elf looked towards Mercury and spoke.
"Hey... Merc?," She asked.
He looked towards her as she addressed him.
"Hm? Is there something on your mind, Khanna?," He asked.
The dark elf maiden shifted as it seemed like she was just getting comfortable, being held in the young man's arms.
"Don't you think... it's about time that we... uh.. 'ya know.. talk about where we are in our relationship?,"Khanna asked.
Mercury sighed. He knew that question would come eventually. It was good thing that, he'd been preparing himself to have that discussion with Khanna.
"I didn't make you upset with me, did I Merc?," Khanna asked a little worried by the sigh she heard.
Mercury shook his head as he smiled at her.
"No No. Actually... I was thinking it was about time that we talked that too, honestly.,"He replied.
She looked towards him as the two then separated from each other briefly to face each other.
"Okay. So... Is now a good time then?," She asked.
Mercury nodded.
"Yeah. And I'll be honest with you, Khanna. I was..... kinda at my wits end with how things were between us.," Mercury said.
"You were?," she asked. "How come... if i may ask?"
Mercury couldn't help but to blush in embarrassment as he scratched the back of his head.
"Well... I just got my memory back a few weeks ago... and yet... here I've been living with this absolutely gorgeous young elf maiden that I somehow didn't even remember was my childhood best friend until Beacon.. um.. you know.,"Mercury said.
Khanna felt her face redden at Mercury's words. She had no idea that Mercury saw her in that way. The elf stopped herself from getting too embarrassed because she knew Mercury wasn't finished talking.
Taking the hint, Mercury continued.
"I just gained back my memory of you, Khanna. I know that we were close.. that we were the best of friends. And uh... I-I also remember THAT promise from when we were kids.,"Mercury said.
Khanna felt her face flush red and she was seen to be playing with her hair, shifting and fidgeting nervously.
"M-Merc.... So... you do remember....," She said looking at him.
Khanna started to sniffle as tears came from her eyes, but these were tears of joy as she smiled at him. Mercury thought that he had upset her and slightly started to panic.
"K-Khanna? Oh um.. i'm sorry! I didn't upset you, did I?! Oh gosh, I did, didn't I?," Mercury said waving his hands frantically before Khanna grabbed his hands and smiled at him.
"No Merc... you didn't upset me. I.. I'm so.. glad that you remembered! I was... beginning to lose hope that you'd ever remember that promise, but.. I can see that.. I didn't even need to worry.," Khanna said smiling at him.
Mercury put his hand on Khanna's face to wipe away her tears.
"Come on, Khanna.. don't cry. A woman as beautiful as you are shouldn't have to cry. So please... I'd rather not see the girl I'm in love with cry.," Mercury said.
Khanna's eyes widened in shock of what Mercury said.
"M-Merc, wh-what did you say?," Khanna asked surprised.
"look... I'm uh... not the best with these things. I don't know why but... it just felt... like I should tell you that. I wasn't sure at first, but now... I can say that it's honestly how I feel about you, Khanna. I... I love you, Khanna. So uh... can we y'know... make it official? I guess what I'm trying to say is..,"Mercury said before Khanna ran towards him.
She jumped and hugged him as she giggled in joy.
"Yes, Merc! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! I... I've been waiting for you to ask me that. I'll gladly be your lover!,"Khanna said laughing as she had her arms wrapped around his neck.
"My l-lover?! Well uh gee... guess I have a lot to live up to then, huh?,"Mercury replied embarrassed.
"Merc... You know there's a proper question you should be asking right about now, right?,"Khanna replied.
Mercury grinned in embarrassment before he spoke again.
"R-right! (clears his throat) Khanna Andross... will you become my wife?," Mercury nervously asked.
Instead of verbally answering him, Khanna closed her eyes as she pulled Mercury towards her. The gap between Khanna's lips and Mercury's was quickly closed as the dark elf pulled the young man in for a long, but tender kiss between them. The action surprised Mercury, at first, but he eventually relaxed into the gesture of the young woman he loved. The newly formed couple embraced each other as they shared the kiss for a long moment before separating, due to the both of them needing air to breathe. Mercury had his hands around Khanna's lower back and Khanna had her hands wrapped around Mercury's neck as they both looked at each other. Both blushed, knowing what had just occurred between them.
"K-Khanna... w-wow..," Mercury said at a loss for words.
"D-Did you like my answer, Merc?,"Khanna asked embarrassed.
"I.. I uh...could get used to that sort of answer i suppose...," Mercury managed to get out.
Khanna giggled and smiled at him.
"To be honest Merc... I-I think I've always been in love with you. Ever since we were kids. Especially after.. we made that promise of when we grew up we would marry each other.,"Khanna admitted.
"S-So.. uh.. You've always had a crush on me since then?," Mercury asked.
Khanna nodded.
"I.. see.. Well... guess i'll just have to get stronger so i can protect my future wife, huh?,"Mercury said.
"Hee hee, Yeah you better! Because I'm not letting my husband become weak.,"Khanna laughed.
The new couple stared each other in the eyes before they embraced again, wanting nothing more than to just be with each other for the rest of the day.
With Flare and Baron....
The Fox girl and the dark elf had arrived back in Flare's home village several weeks after the Fall of Beacon. Baron liked the small village from what he had seen of it so far. It wasn't the biggest one out there, but it wasn't tiny either. Along the way to her home village, Baron had learned alot about faunus and of the prejudice they face. Even though the war between human kind and faunus had been settled, the constant verbal abuse and disdain from humans was just as strong as it ever was. he knew this was something that the dark elves wished to eradicate as well. After all, the elves and faunus had one common denominator when it came to their relationship with humans: They were both horribly mistreated and both wanted to be treated as equals by them.
Baron and Flare were seen to just be walking together in the midst of the small village. The pair were chatting as they headed back to Flare's home with groceries in tow. It had been over a month since the Fall of Beacon took place. In that time: All of the remaining students from Beacon had been scattered to the different continents across Remnant. The dark elf had grown a bit taller and a small beard had begun to form around his lower face. Flare didn't mind, she actually prefered Baron's new look if she was completely honest. The dark elf had swapped his green and black armor for more typical of a mercenary: A steel gray chest protector with matching shin guards and leg armor, brown pants with a matching piece of tunic that extended a little past his waist, a brown belt with one of his blades stapped and sheathed to his side and another on on his back. He kept the purple scarf around his neck and the small black hood. The outfit was then finished off by a slightly tornlavender cape that billowed behind him.
Flare had changed significantly in appearance as well, over the time back in her village with Baron. Her short chestnut colored hair had grown to be longer and now stopped just below her shoulders. Flare's outfit had changed too, she no longer wore the white hoodie, but instead opted for a blue jean jacket which she left open, a pink shirt underneath, and an copper colored amulet hung around her neck. She also sported a midnight purple and black skirt that went down to just below her knees, purple knee high stockings, and purple and white sneakers. Her gauntlets had been modified into wristlets that would expand into the weapon of her choice and imagination upon command [the command being her thought]. The amulet she received as a gift from Baron after returning to her home village. Her home village had a tradition that if a female faunus received a gift from a man, it was a sign of them asking for their hand in marriage. In other words... without knowing it, Baron had essentially proposed to Flare. That was of course another development during the time they had spent together. The two of them had naturally begun to become closer to each other. It was to the point where Flare's sister's thought her and baron were dating each other.
This was a misunderstanding, causing them to flush deep red when that subject was brought up. But recently, Flare had begun to think about it... She had begun to entertain thought of what a life with Baron could potentially look like for her. Such a thought was a rather pleasant one, she had to admit. It was no secret either that Flare had some very strong romantic feelings for the young dark elven man, yet... she hadn't confessed to him. Today however that would change.
"Baron san, you mind waiting here? I-I'd like to purchase something.,"Flare asked.
Baron looked to the young faunus woman and smiled at her, he figured it couldn't hurt. There was probably something she wanted to get here. He did see her eyeing some jewelry earlier when they passed through town.
"Sure thing, Flare. It's not like we're in any rush to get back. I can wait here for you.,"He said.
Flare then smiled towards him and walked into the jewelry store. After she left, Baron couldn't help but to have that image engrained into his mind. Flare was certainly a very pleasant young woman to be around, and it was abundantly clear even to him that she had some very strong feelings for him. What Baron wasn't sure how to handle though were his own personal feelings towards the Fox Faunus girl that had grown into a very beautiful young woman. He was sure that if he didn't act someone would snatch her away, she was certainly more than attractive enough to warrant that. He just couldn't get the image of Flare smiling at him out of his head though...
Baron knew that something deep within in him wanted to protect that smiling face of Flare's, but he wasn't sure how to approach her. He'd only ever had romantic feelings for one girl in his life and that was the youngest sister of his friend, Odyn Albanar. Sarai's words upon her death [before she was later resurrected within the person of Pyrrha Nikos] had stuck with him, even all of these years later..
"Please... Baron, for my sake: Find another girl to fall in love with. Make sure you care for her the same or even more than you did for me, my friend."
Those words had echoed within him for years after her death and they still did. Even though Sarai was alive and well again..., Had he taken her advice? Was Flare that some other girl that he would fall in love with? Baron closed his eyes and thought about it: How did he truly feel about Flare? What were is truest and deepest feelings concerning the Fox Faunus and the beautiful young woman she had now become? As he thought about this, he felt his his heart start to beat when he thought about her: about Flare.
"How... do I.. or rather: What do I feel for you, Flare?"He asked himself.
He began to think about all of the things they had gone through together at Beacon: How they met as Schoolmates, how they would study together, when they'd help Ruby and her friends with their crazy shenanigans involving the White Fang and Roman Torchwick, the two of them enjoying the Vytal Festival together..., Each of them cheering each other on in the tournament.... During all of that time: He had never told Flare how he truly felt about her. Baron sighed as he opened his eyes. He had his answer. When they had some time to themselves, Baron would let Flare know how he really and honestly felt about her.
With Flare....
Inside the jewelry store, Flare was seen to be looking around when she finally found what she was looking for. It was golden chained necklace with a compartment for a picture on the inside and a jewel on the front of it. The store clerk noticed the the Fox Faunus checking out the piece of jewelry and she smiled at the young woman.
"Find something you like, young miss?,"The clerk asked.
The clerk was an older woman with cat like ears and a dark brown cat's tail behind her. She was lighter skinned wearing a sweater, a long emerald green dress, and brown shoes. She also wore a brown apron on top of her normal clothes. This was most likely, the owner of the small store: a bobcat faunus. While the little shop did have jewelry, it also doubled as a small grocery store. Flare looked up at the older faunus woman and smiled.
"Um Yes, I believe so at least. I hope he likes it...,"Flare answered, whispering the last part.
The clerk slyly smiled at Flare.
"You have good taste, miss. And I'm certain your man will appreciate you taking the time to gift him something.," The clerk said smirking at Flare.
Flare's eyes widened and she blushed at the comment, becoming slightly embarrassed.
"Wha-?! no no no no H-He's not my man! Well, not yet at least...,"Flare replied.
"Yet you say?" The older faunus woman asked.
This made Flare just flush red even more as she fidgeted slightly in embarrassment. Flare just silently nodded. The older faunus woman just chuckled as she packaged the jewelry item for Flare. She could tell when a young woman was in love with someone, she had been in that season herself at one time.
"It's quite alright, miss. But.. I do hope it works out for you. Whoever the young man you have your heart set on is a very lucky young man to have caught the affection of someone as delightful as you.,"The cat faunus said.
Flare went to pay for it when the elder faunus woman just shook her head and smiled at her.
"Please, it's on the house miss. Consider it as a well wishing gift for you."
Flare smiled at the woman but gave her some lien anyway, surprising her.
"This is as thanks for the gift. I hope your shop does well in the future. This is just a small contribution towards that. Thank you.,"Flare said before walking away and bowing her hand slightly.
She then walked out of the door, leaving a small smile on the older cat faunus woman's face.
"Such a delightful young lady... I do hope it turns out well for her.."The clerk thought.
Flare began to think to herself shortly after leaving the store.
"I do hope that Baron san likes this..."She thought.
She gained a determined look as she walked back towards Baron.
"I'll..."Flare thought.
"I'll..."Baron thought.
The screen then splits briefly as it shows the face of Baron looking into the sky and Flare coming down the steps from the small store she went into with a determined face. Both of them had the same, preveailing thought.
"Tell him/Tell her how I really feel!" they both thought.
Flare stepped back onto the ground as they both noticed each other.
"Ah, Flare welcome back.,"Baron said.
"Oh, B-Baron san!"Flare said a little startled.
He looked at her, noticing the bag she now had in her hands.
"Did.. you find what you were looking for?,"He asked.
Flare nodded.
"Ah, yes I did. Thanks for waiting for me.,"She replied happily.
Baron nodded as the two continued their walk. They would first drop off the groceries at Flare's home for her family, but after that: they had the rest of the day to themselves until dinner. The Fox Faunus then had a thought: Maybe that would be the ideal time to hand him the gift she bought for him, but also to confess. Little did she know, Baron was having smiliar thoughts.
"Um.. B-Baron san?,"Flare asked a litlle nervously.
He looked at her.
"Yes, what is it Flare?,"Baron asked.
Flare couldn't stop her tail from wagging slightly as she spoke to the man she had ever growing romantic feelings for.
"I-If it's alright with you.. do you have some time later? T-There's uh... s-something that i-i've been meaning to discuss with you.,"Flare asked, her face flushing red and her voice stammering.
Baron smiled at her as responded to the Fox Faunus.
"Of course. I always have time for you, Flare.,"Baron answered. "A-Actually... there's something I've been meaning to uh.. discuss with you for awhile too coincidentally."
"R-Really?! [clears her throat embarrassed at her outburst] ahem! You're certain, Baron san?,"She replied.
Baron nodded before they continued walking and chatting.
"Speaking of... I did find out something interesting recently.,"He said.
Flare raised an eyebrow curious.
"Really?,"She asked curious. "What did you find out?"
"It seems Elven soldiers have been spotted inside Vale, and even surrounding the city.,"Hesaid.
This was news to Flare. As big of a shock to hear the Dark Elves declare war upon Atlas, they had heard nothing from either side since then. So, how was it that no one had even heard any word of the elven king and queen sending soldiers into Vale?
"Their Majesties are finally making their move?,"Flare asked.
Baron nodded in agreement.
"It would seem so. I thought that was nothing but a mere rumor and i went to investigate. Those rumors were actually true. In the eyes of the the other nations: The Fall of Beacon just proved Vale's failure as a kingdom. The people there have been left to their own devices, since Vale, as a Kingdom at least, no longer exists. It has fallen in the eye of the rest of Remnant."Baron explained. "Which is what makes it perfect for us Dark Elves to claim it."
"That's.. horrible! The people of Vale have been essentially abandoned by everyone?,"Flare replied upset.
Baron nodded.
"When I went to investigate those particular rumors i had heard.. what did I find? Vale has... already been reclaimed!,"Baron said.
"Hold on.. What?! Vale's been reclaimed already?,"Flare replied surprised.
"Yeah. I was surprised too that not only has Vale been reclaimed by Elven armies, It.. as well as Mountian Glenn have been wiped clean of any remaining Grimm there.,"Baron answered.
"All the Grimm are gone now? What about that giant Grimm Dragon from back when Beacon fell?,"She asked puzzled.
Baron rubbed the back of his head as he explained things to Flare.
"Well... According to Caliburn, who's in charge of the elven armies now occupying Vale and Mountain Glenn: It was severely weakened. As a result of the battle between prince Odyn, princess Sarai, Ruby, and the woman named Cinder Fall... That Grimm wasn't able to even fight back when Elven forces came into Vale. Whatever miss Ruby did, it severely crippled and weakened that dragon like Grimm. Caliburn said they only thing they were able to do was to put the monster out of its misery. Once the dragon Grimm was slain, all of the other Grimm seemed to just vanish. Since the elven forces have now taken back Vale, it's only fitting that Vale is renamed. The city will still be called Vale, but as for the kingdom...,"Baron said trailing off.
Flare spoke to finish his thought.
"They're renaming it, correct?,"Flare asked finishing the thought.
Baron nodded.
"Correct."He answered.
"So the Kingdom of Vale is being renamed, huh?,"Flare asked.
"Yeah. And from what I've heard... Discrimination of any kind is going to be outlawed there.,"Baron answered.
"Meaning...?,"Flare asked curious.
"If there peace loving faunus, peace loving humans, and of course... dark elves as well, they will be able to live in peace. Faunus won't be discriminated against, neither will elves, or even humans for that matter.,"Baron finished explaining. "It will be a country of fair opportunity. If you have the drive to succeed, you'll be given every opportunity to do so. If one wishes to get stronger for the sake of protecting what matters to them, they'll be given that chance. The days of egotistical leaders will be put to an end once Vale is renamed. Other countries may not like this: Especially Atlas. But, that is where the elven military will come in. We aren't warriors for nothing. We exist to protect the weak and defend those who feel as though their voices and rights are being stripped from them unfairly."
Flare smiled at this. A country and Kingdom like that.. didn't seem so bad. What she would give to live in a country like that. These elves were not the monsters people from human supremist nations made them out to be. If anything, the monsters were Atlas and their leadership for their views on other races. Flare was convinced that she would play a huge part in the overall influence of this new nation sooner, rather than later. They'd need to return to their friends eventually, after all.
They continued walking down the road, just chatting about random subjects on the way towards Flare's home.
Time skip: a couple hours later....
Baron and Flare had finally arrived back at the Fox Faunus girl's home. They opened the door and laid down the groceries upon the counter in the kitchen.
"We're back mom, sorry that it took so long!"Flare called.
An older Fox Faunus woman with chestnut colored hair, fox ears atop of her head, and a matching tail walked into the kitchen. She wore a traditional lime green dress with a yellow long sleeved shirt and brown shoes. It looked like she had been cooking already as she smiled at her daughter before hugging her. This was Flare's mother, Osprey Kitsune.
"It's quite alright, sweetie. I only just started making dinner for us. [spots Baron behind Flare and smiled at him] I can only guess that the two of you had a nice afternoon stroll?,"She replied smiling.
"Yes, it was wonderful mother. Baron san has been very helpful in gathering ingredients.,"Flare said.
Osprey smiled and slightly bowed her head towards Baron.
"Thank you for accompanying my daughter on her shopping run, Baron. You've been very helpful since the beginning of your stay with us. Can I count on you to continue to help my daughter?,"Osprey requested.
Baron nodded with a smile.
"Of course, Mrs. Kitsune.,"He answered.
Osprey looked towards the two and lightly chuckled before speaking again.
"Now go on, you two. You have something important to talk about, yes?,"She said lightly pushing the pair out of the door and into the backyard.
Baron seemed confused for a moment before walking ahead, while Flare was stopped and encouraged by her mother.
"Do your best, sweetie. Just tell him what you told me in your letters alright? I'm sure he'll accept you if you're honest with him.,"Osprey said winking towards her daughter.
Flare flushed red in embarassment as her mother lightly shoved her outside.
"M-Mom!,"Flare said embarrassed at first.
She then smiled towards her mom a moment after.
"I-I'll do my best, mom. Thanks.,"She said.
"Of course, sweetie. This is for your happiness after all. It will give you something to tell your father when he gets home for dinner.,"Osprey smiled.
Flare was seen jogging before she caught up with the dark elf, then walking alongside him soon after.
Flare's two younger sisters Luna and Jade looked towards their mother, who smiled at them.
"Mother, where's big sis going?,"Jade asked.
"Oh.. she just has something important to talk to mister Baron about.,"Osprey told her.
"Can we see where sissy's going, momma?,"Luna asked.
Luna was the youngest of her family, while not a toddler anymore, she hadn't quite rid herself of that way of speech yet. She adored her elder sister Flare and simply wanted to see what she was up to.
"As long as you promise not to disturb or interrupt them, alright?,"Osprey told her other 2 girls.
"Otay! We won't momma!,"Luna said excited.
Jade and Luna then left to go see what Flare was up to.
With Baron and Flare....
Flare had stopped ahead of Baron with her back to him as she began to speak. They'd walked into the woods and found a clearing not far from Flare's home.
"So... uh... B-Baron san... There's something I wanted to give to you. H-Here!,"Flare said turning to him and handing him a package.
"A gift, for me?,"Baron asked a little surprised that Flare had bought something for him.
Flare nodded as Baron approached her and accepted the gift. When the dark elf opened it, he was pleasantly surprised. It was an amulet, just like the one he'd gifted her. He noticed that it had a compartment for a photo or item from someone important to you as well. When he looked towards the Faunus young woman, he noticed her face was flushed red as she approached him.
"S-So.. what do you think?,"She asked.
He smiled at her and hugged her, surprising Flare.
"Thank you, Flare. I'll treasure it for as long as I am able to.,"Baron answered.
Flare was seen to be cupping her face in embarrassment as her tail was wagging behind her in happiness. She then looked towards Baron again.
"B-Baron san..., no B-Baron Caldern I-I have something that I've been meaning to tell you f-for a long time now...,"She said rubbing her arm as she was seen to be blushing furiously.
Baron looked her in the eyes, as he listened.
"I'm listening, Flare.,"He said.
"B-Before I give you my answer to your.. p-proposal... I uhh... I just wanted to let you know that.. I-I really like you, Baron. No, not just like you... um... I-I've k-kinda had a crush on you for a long while.,"Flare said. "Ever since that first time you stood up for me when you found out that CRDL and other human students had been bullying me. I thought about you alot... in fact, m-most of my waking thoughts were concerning you. I wondered what you were doing... and if you had difficulties at school or... if you had a good day.. When I could see you again and talk to you.., Things like that."
Baron's eyes were wide in surprise but.. he still listened.
"I.. guess what I really wanted to tell you is.. I love you, Baron. I've been in love with you for... a long time now. I wondered if you ever felt the same and I wasn't sure for a while. Even if you don't feel that way: I'll still be by your side, no matter what. Because that's how madly in love I am w-with you, Baron.. It's how much I adore you. I know that.. I could never replace princess Sarai as your lover, but If I could have some part of your heart that.. would be more than enough for me." Flare finished saying to him.
Baron couldn't believe what he had just heard: Flare... was.. in love with him? For how long?
"I.. uh.. W-wow.. F-Flare, I.. had no idea you felt that way about me.,"Baron said rubbing the back of his head and grinning in embarrassment. "And.. I never once thought of you as a replacement for Sarai. While, It's true that my feelings for the first girl I ever loved won't ever truly fade.. I do know this: As I've learned more about your kind, the Faunus, I found myself enjoying every minute I spent with you Flare. It was no accident we met at Beacon.,"
"Then?"Flare asked hopeful.
"Since you have confessed to me about your deepest feelings for me, how could I in good conscience not respond to your feelings? I appreciate you confessing to me, Flare. To think there was someone this close to me who felt this way.. I'm.. a little blown away. Good thing my heart knows how to respond to your feelings more than my head does.",Baron replied before bending down onto a knee and looking at Flare in the eyes.
"B-Baron?,"Flare asked confused as to what Baron was doing.
She was confused, but her heart was pounding like a drum inside her chest.
"I'm not sure what you mean by my proposal...,"Baron started before Flare told him the meaning of her earlier words.
"W-Well Baron, in this village when a man gifts a woman a gift like you did for me... It is seen in the same way as a proposal of marriage...,"Flare explained.
Baron almost face faulted when he heard that.
"I-I see... so that's why you were so.. awkward around me yesterday.,"He replied.
"Yeah.. Sorry if I never told you. I thought you might have picked up on it eventually.,"She apologized.
Baron blushed slightly before clearing his throat.
"Ahem! I-I see.. Still I'd like to give you an answer properly. Flare Osprey Kitsune, daughter of Osprey and Falbior Kitsune... I am also in love with you. I.. don't know how much I love you just yet, but I am willing to make you the happiest woman alive to the best of my abilities. Will you marry me, Flare?,"Baron replied. "Will you become my wife, Flare?,"
Flare's eyes widened as she had just heard the words she had been longing to hear from the man she was deeply in love with.
"B-Baron... Y-Yes! I will happily marry you, Baron!,"Flare said laughing and hugging him as the two embraced each other.
Unknown to them, Flare's sisters had seen the whole exhange between them and were smiling from ear to ear. They were finally getting the big brother they had always wanted in their family.
Baron then spoke again as pulled out a small object from his pocket. Upon a closer look, it is shown to be an engagement ring. Flare smiled as she held out her hand, allowing her future husband to slide the ring onto her finger. She also repeated the process as Baron gracefully allowed his future wife to slide the engagement ring onto his finger. Flare then inched closer to Baron and closed her eyes as she gave him a peck on the cheek.
"Not going to lie, I was actually prepared to kiss you Flare.,"Baron said chuckling.
She put a finger to his lips before smiling at him.
"Please, love, I'd rather wait until our wedding day before that. You have something to look forward to, Baron.,"Flare said.
Baron smiled at her as the Fox Faunus nuzzled up to him.
"I see. Then, I shall wait for that day. Thank you, Flare."Baron said.
Luna looked to Jade as the two sisters watched.
"Does this mean sissy's gonna marry big brother Baron?,"Luna asked.
"Yes, Luna. That's what it looks like. We'll finally have our very own big brother.,"Jade said. "I bet father and mother will be happy."
Time skip: That evening...
The elders and leaders of the small faunus village had gathered inside of the Kitsune household for dinner that evening. It was very lively at the dinner table amongst conversations and laughter as the entire village had been invited.
They'd been discussing how things would be within the village going forward when Baron stood up from the table, catching all of the guests attention.
"About Vale, sir.. It has actually been retaken already.,"Baron said.
This surprised everyone at the table as they listened intently.
"Truly?" one elder asked.
"You're certain of this, boy?"a nother village leader asked.
"How do we know this young man is telling the truth?" another questioned.
Falbior, the leader of the faunus village raised his hands to calm them. He was a wolf faunus with silver wolf ears and a matching tail. He wore a red shirt with a green cape draped over one of his shoulders, gray pants, a silver belt, and black shoes. He was slightly tan skinned with blue eyes and jet black hair.
"Go on, young man. Explain what you mean.,"Falbior said.
Baron nodded and proceeded to tell them the same information which he relayed to Flare earlier in the day.
"Such a country will exist, you say?," A villager asked.
Baron nodded in response.
"Yes. Their majesties, King Berethon and Queen Hyatan are just and wise rulers. I have known them for as long as I can remember. They will not allow discrimination of any kind in their country. Reason being is because Dark Elves are persecuted and discriminated against by the humans of Atlas even worse than Faunus are right now. In large part, that is what the current war against Atlas is for. They fight to end discrimination and make the humans treat not just faunus but also elves as their equals with respect. They protect the powerless and those who feel like their rights are being stripped from them by egotistical leaders throughout Remnant.,"Baron explained.
"So.. you're saying all races will be welcomed into this new kingdom?,"another villager asked.
"Yes. And they will be given every opportunity and freedom to grow.,"baron replied.
The villagers settled down after wards, satified with Baron's answers to their questions. Falbior then stood up with a glass of grape juice.
"On that note, a toast!,"Falbior said stnading to his feet.
"What are we toasting, Chief?"one of the other leaders asked.
"We have a rather important announcement in regards to that.,"Falbior said motioning to Baron and Flare who both stood to their feet.
"To the celebration of the marriage between my daughter, Flare, and Baron Caldern.. a dark elf and my future son in law!,"Falbior exclaimed.
The villagers then all cheered in excitement, the elders grinning.
"Congratulations, you two!," They said.
"Oh no no! We're not married yet!,"Flare said.
One of the village women then spoke.
"Not yet? well then... Why don't we plan one then?"
"Wha?!,"Flare said in surprise.
The villagers then began to plan the wedding between Baron and Flare before the Fox Faunus could say anything to stop it. This caused her to sigh.
"Are you surprised, Baron? This is kind of how my village is.. They haven't had a wedding in years so they're a bit... excited." She said.
Baron smiled before he lightly laughed.
"No, of course not. If anything this is reminiscent of how we dark elves are when two people that are beloved by the community get married."He answered.
The night went on as word had spread quickly throughout the village about Flare and Baron getting married. They knew that they'd need to return to their friends eventually, but they weren't leaving without the small village hosting their wedding apparently. The story of Baron and Flare's wedding is wonderful, however that will be a story for another time....
With a certain group of Saiyans....
Not far from Patch, a certain group of Saiyans were seen training out in the open field. Scarlett, wiped sweat from her brow as she was taking a break for the moment. She looked to her left to Neptune seitting beside her, also sweating.
"At first I thought you were crazy coming with us... But.. you really seem to be doing alright, for a human anyways.,"Scarlett remarked.
Neptune just nervously laughed.
"Heh heh, I'm a little surprised myself to be honest. You saiyans.. really don't hold back.. ow!,"Neptune said holding his side.
Scarlett went over to check on him.
"Come on tough guy, let me tak a look at that.,"She said.
Neptune just laughed and smiled at her.
"All yours, Scarlett.,"He said.
As Scarlett and Neptune were resting, Daikon, Note, and Beat were seen to be sparring with each other. They zipped around at high speeds, testing their powers against each other. Note and Beat worked together to try and take down Daikon, but were beaten each time so far. These last few times though, they'd actually made him get serious a little bit.
Beat was sent flying as he skidded to a halt, shakily staring back up at Daikon. Note was in the same condition next to him. They both panted, staring at Daikon, who had a white flame like aura blazing around him in the air.
"Hmph! You two will have to try harder than that if you want to defeat me! Put your backs into it!,"He said.
"ha... ha... dang it! How are we ever going to beat him?!,"Beat said frustrated.
"ha.. ha... Beat, don't say that! We just.. have to keep trying! we'll get him to actually go all out one of these days! And we've made progress!,"Note said.
"I guess. When we first started this we couldn't even graze him. i'ts still not enough though! One more time!,"Beat said defiantly as he and Note ignited their ki again.
Daikon smirked as he prepared for the two saiyan's attacks again.
"That's the spirit! Show me your pride!,"Daikon said.
[Author's note: Yes, Daikon is essentially Vegeta in this context. You're welcome lol]
Neptune had gotten better since he began this training with the Saiyans. He could use ki now, though he stil had a long way to go before he would be of any help to the saiyans. Scarlett had been gracious enough to oversee his training personally, since Daikon was way too spartan like. He nearly crippled the poor boy when they started training nearly a month ago. Thankfully, Scarlett had fed him a senzu bean from their stash they'd brought with to heal him. After that incident she had decided to be in charge of Neptune's training instead of Daikon.
Daikon had grown a bit too as a result of training with Beat and Note. Though the two of them weren't quite up to his level yet, they had grown strong enough to be steadily giving him a challenge recently. If this kept up, perhaps he'd be able to rescue the Schnee heiress, Weiss from her corrupt father. He remembered how utterly powerless he felt when she was taken away by that egotistical and racist minded man. That fact, angered him. But, he would make up for it and soon. Then when he was more than strong enough, he'd humiliate that man who made him.. a saiyan, feel powerless.
Scarlett had to admire Neptune for sticking with it when he was clearly weaker than the Saiyans. The teen had guts, that's for sure. If helping Neptune helped her to understand a human a little bit more, she really didn't mind.
Different groups of the teens from Beacon were all dealing with the aftermath in different ways... It would all lead them back to each other. Because together is where they were strongest. Vale had been retaken as Baron found out. As for the now defunct Kingdom of Vale, it was renamed. It's new name: The Republic of Albanar. The renaming of Vale was just the spark of the war between the elves and Atlas. The start of that war is a story for another time...
To be Continued...
Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed this chapter! This is unofficially the start of volume 4 next time i'll cover what the rest of the gang is up to including Baron and Flare getting married? That should be fun to write. How some of the gang comes back together will be written over the next couple of chapters. I wasn't planning on making this a multple parter but.. hey it happens sometimes. This chapter was abit focused on Khanna and Mercury and Baron and Flare. Those are two pairings that i felt needed to be explored in depth so i guess they sorta shared a chapter of development with each other. The main story will continue within a few chapters but I'll need time for Syrrai, Jaune, Hailfire, Baron, Flare, Ren, and Nora to all get over to patch. That will take a little while, so please bear with me on that. Any ways that's all for now!
Next Time: Chapter 27: Memories and Next Steps II: A small village wedding?
